Speaker 1 (00:01):
Most gods. Every stay on top in the boots shovel.
All right.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
So last night during the game, they announced right before
the game that they're going to at halftime tell you
who the Apple Music halftime show is. So there's been
a lot of rumors thrown around for a long time.
We throughout the other day this the report that Adele
might be in the talks for it. Taylor Swift's always
been a natural pick for this. There's stories out that

(00:37):
she did not agree to do it because she wants
to be paid, she does not want to.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
Do I also saw a story that she didn't agree
to it because she wanted to own the footage.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
That's what I saw. She wanted to own the footage.
And they're like, yeah, no, we're a super Bowl, We'll
just do something else. There's also, uh again, what's substantiated
and not? I really don't know that. Rock Nation was
a big believer and I the artist can say what
they want. In the NFL was worried about someone going
out there and making some sort of political statement.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
Well, the guy they went with has been in the
middle of a lot of political statements right now.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
You don't yeah, oh yeah, and you know a lot
of people showed themselves last night. The other one that
I had been kind of you know, through back channels,
had been told watch out for Miley and Miley and
possibly with Bieber thrown on as well. And I was like, okay,

(01:34):
that's something. There's two safe ones. You know, they're not
gonna do anything like well, Miley's she's grown up. She's
not gonna anything. She might cuss, but she's not gonna
do some political statement. I know how to play the game, Kevin.
So I was kind of told that these are the
same people that told me what Beyonce's UH setlist would
be at the at the Netflix game in which many

(01:55):
people from the Bay Hive asked the question.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
Ho is you magical? Such a great moment.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
It turns out Hoe is not magical because I was
wrong because I was kind of retweeting like, yeah, hey guys,
just to get ahead of it, just so you know.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
I tweeted this last week so confident.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Miley, you know, and I decided not to delete it
as I had the light up you take your losses here, Noah,
they they they.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Kill you when you're wrong.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
They really don't celebrate you too much when you're right.
But I was having a little fun and I had
to tweet out of it. That's probably be Miley and Bieber
get ready blah blah blah, and they announced that.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
It is Bad Bunny. Fantastic Bad Bunny.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Also your host of Saturday Night I have this week
in the season fifty one premiere incredible. A couple tweets
that I got, or at least it caught my eye
that I thought were interesting. Here is Albert Breer, who
reports on the NFL. But he's not like some ancient guy.
He's like, you know, he's in his fifties, right, He's
not seventy eight. This is the first time I've never

(02:56):
heard of the Super Bowl halftime mag What tough night
for me and I I was like, dude, you work
in media and you don't know who Bad Bunny is,
like in your like.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
In your fifties.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
I get not being familiar with his catalog because it's
just you're not into that, but just not be aware
of who that person is seems strange to me.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
Is that what he meant? I'm hoping that's what he meant, Like,
I don't know any of his songs, but I know
who he is. He said, he's never heard of the
super Bowl halftime Oh my god, which I'm like, okay, Well,
first of all, he's been on the Super Bowl halftime
show stage, so I don't know why that would anythink. Uh,
there's a big account called polymarket football. They're uh, here's

(03:36):
what they tate. The NFL does not care about the
USA fans. They have chosen Bad Bunny as the Super
super Bowl halftime performer. But guys, are we all good
with Puerto Rico being in the United States?

Speaker 1 (03:50):
We all know that, right, We're good. Yeah, it's a
US territory. It's Andy.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
Aside from that, the idea that Bad Bunny has not
dominated US charts seems a little out of right.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
There's a lot of people I'm not gonna watch it,
never do And I'm like, okay, fine, that's great, man,
that's is.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
That like something you want people to know about you?

Speaker 2 (04:11):
Oh, so you don't need to tweet it out like
I think before you tweet stuff.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
It's a wild thing to be proud of. No one cares.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
Bad Bunny is collaborated with a lot of people, so
I think you have a chance. And a lot of
special guests couldn't do a Lipa. Perhaps he's a song
with her that'd be interesting.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
I think Luca will be a part of the presentation.
Might be dudes in San Francisco. Lucas is right up
the coast there.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
Far away. I'm gonna look up the Lakers schedule that day.
You don't have to do that. Might be busy.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
I can see JJ Berea joining him on stage. They're friends.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
I thought it kind of made sense.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
Are people just like the people that are upset or
the upset that It's like it's just because songs that
you don't know the words too, because he doesn't speak English.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
I think songs.

Speaker 4 (04:56):
I think people are looking for things to be upset about,
and then if something isn't personally tailored for their individual interests,
you know, it's like they're not that into it.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
They then want to politicize it.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
So it's like, I don't know, man, it's not a
bad company is exhausting on both sides.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
It just sucks so bad. I don't like this, so
it's political.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
It just feels like the least political thing ever is
the eleven minute Super Bowl halftime show.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
It should be the least political thing ever, right, last
year's got politicized.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
It did. Yeah, it did, it did. Uh.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
Bad Money is a huge maybe the most popular guy
owners right now, like literally that. And you have people
as a badge of honor claiming that they don't know
who it is. It's like, well, you just sound a
little bit stupid right now, and we're gonna need you
to go ahead and get out and meet some people.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
I think, like, what are we doing.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
I think Albert Breer is just telling everybody he didn't
see Happy Gilmore too.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
Also, yes, he's in the most popular movie of the
last couple of months and he's great in it.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
Crazy alright, alright, there you is fantastic. All right, there
you have it. All right.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
Coming up next, we crank up the wayback machine. These
are things that happened ten years ago this week. We'll
do that in about three minutes.

Speaker 1 (06:10):

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
