Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ah, Yes, it is the Ben and Skin Show ninety
seven point one. The Eagle coming up at the top
of the four o'clock hour. Cooper Flag made his debut
and there's a lot to talk about with it, and
we will get into all of that, but right now
it's time for this juicey news hot gods.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Come stay on top in the woods shovel.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
Quickly.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
I'll start local here because Landman season two is happening.
I always forget that John Ham's in that because they're
always focusing on Billy Bob. Yeah, but they are, and
this a hit a little close close to home for me. Literally,
they're they shut down a bit of the town of
Jacksborough the other day. Do you guys know anything about Jacksborough?

Speaker 3 (00:53):
Jack Jack owns it.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
It's his burrow. Yeah, I don't know why I know that.
Why do I know that?

Speaker 2 (00:58):
I mean, they did get hit by a tornado a
couple of years ago and that was a story. But
they are the home we talked a lot about Burger Wars.
They're the home of the greatest burger.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
In the world.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Really, schmiger Berger, no herds herts herds, Burger Rental and
those who know no herds burger. So when you guys
come out, can you spell that, when you guys come
out to Olney for my big reunion show in a
couple of years, can you spell that herds d s

(01:29):
h like heard and it's.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
A rental burger. Yount it and give it back. It's hurts.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
I think you said h A r D no h
E that's herds Yep.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Good luck out there, y'all.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
Herds uh is wonderful.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
The point is Landman was there filming because it's a
lot easier to go out in the boonies and film
is to shut off a street of downtown Fort Worth.
Believe that John Hamm and Billy Bob Thornton and whoever
else are hanging out forty minutes from my hometown of Olney.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
Right, Well, it's so much to create content in Texas. Right,
there's no the state income tax. I'm sure that's benefit
in that why so many people are trying to move
production facilities here. There is a lot of tax benefits
and business benefits. I mean, that's why Austin turned into
many Hollywood. Yeah, but dude, that show is great. Uh,
it's cheesy, it's formulaic whatever, it's a nighttime soap opera,

(02:22):
all those things. But Billy Bob Thornton is such a
compelling actor. Just about anything he's in is going to
be good because he's got an I don't give an
f vibe about him that makes you think, oh, he
really doesn't give enough even about this production. Yeah, he's
just or you're just seeing a real guy like I
don't know. It just seems so real and authentic, so
truly Texan. Why wouldn't they spend John ham off of

(02:45):
that show and call it ham Man.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
Ham Man is.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
He's got a lot of ham Sorry to ruin it
for you, but pretty sure he died.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Oh he did. His character And.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Because Jerry's story was so exhausting, I think Jerry.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
Talked to Jerry.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Jerry kept talking and teared up, and then John Ham's
character was dead and flat lined. John Jerry's like talking,
John Ham's like pull the plug.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
This is so exhausting. I'm an Eagles fan. Jerry was
great in that. And dude, what's her name?

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Still has her fastball the whip cream girl from your
old football Alley Marter?

Speaker 3 (03:19):
Yeah, yeah, Ali Harder, she still got it.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
So next year America turns two fifty. You guys know
that in honor of two fifty, America and HBO have
put together a sketch comedy show from the production company
of Barack Obama.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
With Larry David.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
So Larry David's gonna hang out with Barack Obama and
they're gonna make some American history comedy sketches and it'll
be a little sitch comedy show on HBO.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
You know what this and with it being sketch comedy,
to me been what I thought about when I heard
this is mel Brooks take on the Bible, Okay, you know,
and he did History of Time or whatever that was
called melbrook What was that called mel Brooks History of Time?
So either one of these guys are they going to
be in the sketches, Larry Day, Larry David will be
in every one of them, probably like doing sketch comedy,
like doing characters like us Andel.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
Yeah, wow, I bet.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
It's more in the form of like I think you
should leave probably though.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
Yeah maybe. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
But Brock and Michelle have a big production company, like
they did that thing with Joey Roberts and Ethan Hawks. Yeah,
They've done a bunch of stuff, so they're they're they're
in that space.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
And Larry David, he didn't get sketches on, but he
wrote for SNL for several years.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
I like it. This is exciting. Man, get Larry David
back on television.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
All right, good stuff coming up. In just a few minutes,
we go around the sports. We'll discuss the Cooper flag debut.
We'll do that live from the Chalk Tawk Casino Resort
to Rant, Oklahoma.
