Speaker 2 (00:02):
All right, man, this is a wild one. Ryan Walters
is the state superintendent for Oklahoma, and that's apparently a
government job, right and he is being accused by three
members of having adult content on a television behind him
in his office during a closed door meeting. The news
(00:23):
is all over this. This is a very very big
story in Oklahoma right now. It's leading the news everywhere.
They're talking about it if there's updates daily. His name
is Ryan Walters. And here's more.

State Superintendent Ryan Walters is in hot water after two
Board of Education members say they saw nude women on
his TV in his office during a closed session meeting.
Speaker 4 (00:47):
I cannot begin to describe the disgusting nature of the
lies leveled against me.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
Okay, so now we see, first of all, that was,
by the way, the twenty second intro to the news story.
Speaker 5 (01:00):
Oh, with the music in the background, that's the lead story.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
Yeah, so you're gonna hear more from his press conference
in a second. But we see his card that he's playing.
Speaker 5 (01:07):
Oh, he's that.
Speaker 6 (01:08):
I cannot believe the salaciousness of these outrageous claims.
Speaker 5 (01:12):
These are disgusting lies, and they might be I'm disgusted.
I think the investigations on going, so let's give us
all more.
Speaker 7 (01:19):
We're hearing from State Board of Education members for the
first time since the state superintendent accused them of coordinating
attack on his character.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
Right, wait, the accusation is back on them now, Yes,
it's a coordinated attack. You guys don't agree with my politics,
so right, you guys are the jerks.
Speaker 5 (01:35):
You're coordinating an attack.
Speaker 7 (01:36):
It's the state superintendent accuse them of coordinating attack on
his character. Ryan Walter says that he's been clear of
any wrongdoing into those claims that a TV in his
office displayed pornographic content during a closed door board meeting. Investigators, however,
say that's not the case. Here's n it's Matt McKay
as the details.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
An eighty minute press conference outside the Oklahoma Governor's office
marked the first state Superintendent Ryan Walters directly addressed allegations
a TV in his office displayed pornographic material last week.
Speaker 4 (02:08):
This is cable TV news, is what we're talking about, folks.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
Waltz's was pressed on which cable TV network on the TV.
Speaker 4 (02:15):
Look, I don't know, I know it was cable TV
that was on.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Okay, investigators.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
You already a better answer than that, though, Buddy, they're
not showing movies on cable TV.
Speaker 6 (02:25):
That should be easy to go back and track, you know,
the day of the meeting in question.
Speaker 8 (02:30):
I think I know what he's doing. He's in Oklahoma.
He's unwilling to say he had CNN on. I mean,
there are people that will judge you by whatever news
channel you have on.
Speaker 5 (02:40):
And I mean happened in Texas. Yeah, like boobies wouldn't
have been on the No. I know, I don't think
there's boobies.
Speaker 8 (02:46):
I think he's saying it's a coordinated attack because of
his politics, and he's unwilling to say what news channel.
Speaker 5 (02:52):
I don't know what news channel I had on. It
was just a news channel.
Speaker 6 (02:54):
I think he's saying that because he doesn't want to
let them nail it down.
Speaker 5 (03:00):
He's still trying to keep it vague.
Speaker 6 (03:01):
They could go do the research, go check every single
cable news outlet and see if anyone.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
Had Yeah, well, he can search the history of his
TV as well.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
Apparently Oh Okay investigators learned its search history was empty.
Walters made false claims during his limited availability.
Speaker 4 (03:19):
We have had our name cleared by both Omes and
the Sheriff's office. There is nothing scandalous that I was
a part of whatsoever, and the lies will have consequences.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
Oh, Sheriff's office is it's investigation is just beginning started.
Speaker 6 (03:39):
I've been found innocent of all charges.
Speaker 5 (03:41):
We're just starting the investigation. Move on. But to this point,
I'm acent, because yeah, you haven't started.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
In a response to Walter's claiming the department's board members
are launching a political attack against him, three of them
issued a joint response saying, quote, we all want the
best education for our students, not in flame to political rhetoric.
No board member has accused Superintendent Walters of anything. We
only brought attention to inappropriate content on a TV content
(04:09):
that would cause a teacher in our state to lose
their license.
Speaker 7 (04:13):
Walters also claimed the governor conspired with those board members.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
Okay, dude, he is going Scorge Dearth here, the governor
as well. I mean, dude, he's not making any friends here.
And I loved it their joint statement because they could
They really could be doing this. They could have made
that up, but their joint statement is perfect to say
we're not.
Speaker 5 (04:34):
Accusing you of anything. We're just reporting what we saw.
We don't want this, we do not want political rhetoric.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
But they might have and they might be playing that
game and trying to get him out.
Speaker 5 (04:44):
But that's a great statement.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
We did accuse you of anything, and he's like, you're
gonna have consequences.
Speaker 5 (04:51):
And the governor's being a dick too.
Speaker 8 (04:54):
It is funny that they said they said, he said
lies have consequences, and they're like, well, he's lying right
now because the sheriff's office has not cleared him.
Speaker 5 (05:05):
Oklahoma's a different world.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
Man. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to report on what
was actually on that TV's teas.
Speaker 6 (05:13):
That's a good T. T S all right? Next, do
you have low T? The Wayback Machine is cranked up.
In just over three minutes, we take a look back
at the fartest one of our favorite segments ever before
