Speaker 1 (00:00):
Are you excited? Featuring veteran news anchor Katie fun tweets
Irving based Chuck Entertainment Cheese is up to something and
I'm a fan because we all like Chucky Cheese.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
It just reminds you of your childhood.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
Right classic, you know.
Speaker 1 (00:25):
So they are going to test out a new thing
called Adventure World, and they're going to launch this thing
in November in Arlington. It is a twelve thousand square
foot indoor active play experience.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
It's got three levels, and it also will be.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
About twenty times bigger than the current active play area.
Speaker 2 (00:44):
At a normal Chuck E Cheese.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
Wow, So we are going to have some fun now.
The reason they're choosing Arlington to do this is because,
you know, I don't know if I ever thought about
it like this, but DFW, it's kind of the home
field advantage for Chuck E Cheese launched and Irving clearly,
but lots of locations in in that Arlington Grand Perry
(01:07):
area especially.
Speaker 4 (01:08):
We got one, we got a new one going in
near us and Alan right over there near Stacey in
seventy five.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
I just drove by it.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
It's going nice.
Speaker 1 (01:16):
The CEO, David mckillops says an adventure world. It's kids
and parents all playing together. Oh, it's bouncing, it's playing,
it's having these kids choose your own adventure.
Speaker 2 (01:29):
Look, there's a lot of good.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
Places that you can take your kids. And I said,
this is a guy who is not reproducted.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
Interesting way to say.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
That, a very weird way to see it, but it accurate.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
It works, right, I correct use.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
That one hurts to miss that. One hurts to miss
that one.
Speaker 3 (01:54):
And the other day I couldn't come up with the word withdrawal.
Speaker 4 (01:57):
We're talking about college with drawing from college, and I
was like, I go, you know, unenrolled.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
I just like, damn word walked out.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
You know, you got you know, I got close.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
Okay, So I think of so back in the day
when we would go to Chuck E Cheese, Uh you
know there'd be it's arcade games, right yeah, and ball
pit and the ballpit whack them mole all those things,
and uh, you'd go there for a birthday party, right
and and things like that or special occasion. But I
(02:28):
guess that comes rolling out. That's that's on, dude, that's
when it's on. And so now I guess they're saying
all right, Look, we need a bigger space. Let's let's
explore the idea because you know, there is some adventure
land type thing coming. There's one of the colony Colony, Yeah,
where there's ziplines and giant trampolines and there's trampoline parks
(02:50):
and things like that. And so you know, as a parent,
you just want your kid like, yeah, let's go somewhere
where they can run off a lot of energy, have
a great time, maybe go exercise, socialize, and then come
back and wolf down some delicious pizza. Yeah. So this
idea is like, let's just do it on a grander scale.
Speaker 4 (03:07):
Yeah, it's kind of like it's like minimizing the idea
that I mean, essentially, what Chuck E Cheese is or
was was a restaurant you know that was great for
kids and parties. When you're talking about something like this,
you're talking about a whole different beast ale together. You're
talking about a destination, right, like yeah for kids those Yeah,
(03:29):
and so.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
I can't wait to see all this unfold. By the way,
people never talk about.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
This underrated pizza dude.
Speaker 3 (03:36):
Oh yeah, agreed, pizza. And it's great because that's some
of your earliest pizza memories are getting that pizza right,
and so in your mind it's like, yes, this is
how pizza is supposed to taste whatever. So I don't know.
Speaker 4 (03:48):
It used to be like I would think they were
the competitors of Chuck E Cheese, but I haven't seen
one in forever. But when Ben and I were kids,
it was either Chuck E Cheese or show biz biz?
Did you guys have showbiz when y'all were kids for
a small amount of time in which tall falls and
then it shifted to Chucky Cheese? I don't think it
exists anymore. But fun basketball Dallas Maverick fact, that's what
(04:08):
brought Bob Ortigole to Dallas.
Speaker 3 (04:10):
He was an executive for show Buziness.
Speaker 4 (04:11):
Oh wow, Yeah, and that's how he ended up down
here in norm Hitzkis was like, you should be on.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
TV because they had the animatronic band. Yes, I have
the cool mouse, they had the animatronic band.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
Yeah, Bullie Bob was the leader of a show business
for Chuck E Cheese. I do think much as Make
Believe band would be a worthy investment. So I know
that the CEO, mister mckillops is probably not listening right now,
But just in.
Speaker 4 (04:36):
Case he's trying to get Pantera tickets.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
I know it's not.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
Cost effective, but let's go ahead and add a little
uh animatronic band to Adventure World, just to just for
old time's sake. I would die to see another set.
Okay from much as Make Believe band?
Speaker 4 (04:52):
What about this? What about spooky animatronic band? And you
go into dark room and animatronic creatures jump out and scarre.
Speaker 3 (05:00):
It's it Freddy's Tech.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
All right.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
There you have it.
Speaker 3 (05:03):
Exciting news for Chuck E Cheese in the city of Arlington.
Coming up next, KT, where you gonna take us in
the cubby hole?
Speaker 2 (05:09):
Well, I have a report from vacation.
Speaker 1 (05:11):
I played golf and I was paired up with a
handicapped fella who had killed someone.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
Oh, we will discuss next
