Speaker 1 (00:05):
It's time we'll start a local and then move on
to the national story. We're hearing that this NADC burger
down in Uptown in Dallas up to one hour waight
times since it opened on August fifteenth. It's open for
twelve days now. We've talked about this two or three

(00:25):
times on the show. Looks amazing an hour weight time
though to go walk around uptown.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
I don't know about that, dude.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
I can't wait to try this burger. When a guy
told me at our business in Solana that he drives
to Austin to get this burger and then comes back,
and the fact that it's a Michelin awarded chef, you know,
like the highest award you can possibly win in chef Kingdom,
I'm like, okay, I'm in.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
I want to try this burger. Do they do you know,
do they take Resi's I don't think so, man.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
I think it's walk up, but I don't know if
it don't love you shortening the word.

Speaker 4 (01:01):
No, Maya's not here to keep you in check anymore.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
What I've said, Rezos, you know I respect it. Thank you.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
I'm also a man who will every once while enjoy
a tasty mark ah Man.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
You know it's open from eleven thirty ams. Hold on KT.

Speaker 5 (01:15):
I want to follow be frozen or rocks either way
like where you're don't have a problem with any margaritas
and KT.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
If liking margaritas is gay, then sign me up. I
don't want to be straight.

Speaker 5 (01:27):
I think you're on that list. You don't have to
be signed up, man, keep me on that list that
I'm already gone. And by gay you mean a Broadway performer. Yeah,
of course you like to have a gay old time, Yes, Kevin.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
They have one in fort Worth too, by the way,
should say off Main Street? Do they?

Speaker 2 (01:43):
What's been there for a while? Looks like in a DC? Yeah?
What's the like there?

Speaker 5 (01:49):
Because it takes me forty eight minutes to get into
Fort Worth?

Speaker 1 (01:52):
I can't tell you with confidence though, no reservations. You
just show up and get your stuff.

Speaker 5 (01:56):
Okay, then I'll get a NA d C Burger sometime
and early November.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Earlier in the week, we talked about Cracker Barrel and
their decision to rebrand a little bit, getting rid of
the barrel and uh, uncle Herschel who's next to it.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
That's his name apparently right? Yeah, they kept the barrel.

Speaker 5 (02:15):
They just pushed it over on its side and put
smaller font in it.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Well, here's their tweet from about six o'clock last night
right showing it. We thank our guests for sharing your
voices and love for Cracker Barrel. We said we would listen,
and we have. Our new logo is going away and
our old timer will remain. Hey, Cracker Barrel, It's always
been and always will be about serving up delicious food,

(02:39):
warm welcomes, and the kind of country hospitality that feels
like okay, hospitality that feels like family. I got it
as a proud American institution, Crackerrel Our seventy thousand hard
working employees look forward to welcoming you, welcoming you to
our table soon.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
I had no idea what really doing? Who care about
any of it?

Speaker 5 (03:01):
Dude, it's too late. Once it got politicized, they were cooked.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
Soroy and I talked about this over the weekend. It's
like one person posted a TikTok video pointing at it
and be like, I can't believe they trained rder durder,
and then people just piled on and made it a thing.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
It's just so stupid.

Speaker 5 (03:16):
And then the President tweeted about it. I mean they
had no choice. They literally had no choice. If they
wanted to stay in business, they had to reverse course.

Speaker 4 (03:25):
I didn't know the President tweeted about it.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
What are we doing?

Speaker 3 (03:28):
I had no idea making Cracker Barrel great again. That's
what we're doing.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
I mean, look, I want to go in there.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
I want to buy some like eight year old rock
hard and taffy. It just cracks and uh, you know,
buy a nice summer dress for my wife for nineteen
dollars while I'm waiting to have some delicious pancakes. Yeah,
I need to have the old white man on that
barrel counting on that.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
It's the only way you can enjoy those pancakes.

Speaker 5 (03:54):
I love going to the Cracker Barrel and eating the
heaviest of breakfast to start my day and into the
bathroom and then spending time in an all wood gift shop.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
Okay, so that's what I wanted. So for the people
that were like really upset that, you know that they
made it corporate and they took all the soul out
of it, right and are so now are they all
going to flood.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Back in there, because it's not like they've been really busy.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
Anyway, we should, honestly we should this weekend, everyone should,
just all four of us. Let's try to have a
breakfast at Cracker Barrel. There's one near you.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
What turn is I'm I'm no, it doesn't sound terrible.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
Cracker Barrel is not bad.

Speaker 5 (04:40):
It really isn't, especially if you want chicken fried steak
at nine am.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
But but.

Speaker 5 (04:48):
This is the whole thing is so insane to me
because I do not believe for a minute there's all
kinds of companies all across the land that rebrand all
the time because they're an older brand, and I don't
think this for a minute had anything to do with DEI.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
But I think because it's big business.

Speaker 5 (05:06):
For people to make it about DEI for their own platforms,
they're caught.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Up in it.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
I think if they, if they would have just like
the lady who made the changes, this is targeting her, Yes,
it absolutely is.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
Uh and talking about Garth from.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
Wayneesworld and people are I think that I think that
woke up the the mob of people who are like,
go woke, go broke, and they're like.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
Yes, perfect, okay, good.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
But if they had just rolled out some hillbilly and suspenders, and.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
He was like, this is our new logo. No one
would have had a problem. You know what they should
have done.

Speaker 5 (05:40):
If they really want to appease the crowd, why not
expose of their seventy thousand employees. How many of them
aren't legal aliens, aren't legal immigrants? Like, they could really
feed the fires if they wanted to.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
That's opening up a whole cracker barrel of monkeys. Good line, Kevin.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
All right, there you have it, the cracker barrel caves
and a new burger joint has one hour waits.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
How about that? Good hours?

Speaker 4 (06:03):
Good?

Speaker 2 (06:04):
Yeah, yeah yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
Coming up next, we're gonna crank up the wayback machine.
It's a media fight. KT is ready to throw dirt
on one broadcaster and we examined Dan mcdal versus Lee Corso.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
That's next
