Speaker 1 (00:00):
Come on, let's get cuss up.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
So, uh, you know, the game begins last night and
you have the the Big three, right, you get a fight,
you get an injury, and you get an ejection. Oh
and then you get a commercial too before we even
start playing football. So that's pretty good. Like I was like, oh, yeah,
we're back, and think if it's the kickoff, you don't know, you.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
Don't get the fight and the ejection. Maybe the fight,
but you don't get the ejection without the injury because
they're out there for all that time.

Speaker 4 (00:44):
Yeah, four got first play of the year.

Speaker 5 (00:48):
He's done and he knew it.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
He was wearing it.

Speaker 5 (00:51):
He was like, I can't even believe it's just happening.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
What the f man?

Speaker 4 (00:55):
I do want to say this too? Watching that broadcast,
there's entirely too many people on these NFL broadcast God.
You know, it's like, here's a team of four people.
Let's get one quick sentence from each person. Yeah, here's
another team standing by of these four people, here's three
other people.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Here's what they think. And it's like I only have
time to say one thing.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
Boom, you're done, And it's like why I have them
so many people out there? When they can't contribute anything
with any depth.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
Yeah, and then all nine have to pick and uh,
Maria Taylor ro host it goes. We were, uh, we're
worried that we're gonna get memed here because all nine
of them picked the Eagles. And I was thinking about
that on the last drive even I was like, Oh,
this is gonna be great s. All the experts are
gonna take it in the shorts.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
That's what happened to the twenty eleven MAVs, Like the
entire ESPN is just a wall of everybody.

Speaker 4 (01:47):
I never doubted him, Now you never did. You never
thought I said. I said, they're gonna be the one
and done boys. This is the year they win their
championship and then they won't win.

Speaker 5 (01:55):
Another NFL be done after that.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Yeah. Ever again, oh that would suck. So Uh. The
spit thing happens too, and that's huge, and colins Worth
is trying to balance. Uh do we focus on the
hurt guy and we focus on the big scuffle over here?
That's clearly a big deal. The MVP of the entire
spit gate is the water boy. The water boy in
there who looked like a big head from Silicon Valley.

(02:18):
He's just sitting there watching the spit happen, looks at it,
his eyes light up. It was great.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
I thought he kind of looked like Slimmer Joel Haley osmitt.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Okay, I know, yeah, you can find a way to
make it work for really anyone. Shippy. So the spit
happens and it's a big deal. We'll find out later
that Dak was spitting. You know, Dak spits all the time. Though,
Dak is a spit Like seriously, that's I touched my
buddy side from the one Star Cowboys podcast The Haymaker.

(02:50):
It sounds like, dude, all these years like covering Dak
spits all the time, and you have thatk probably used
to dip too, though, So I mean, I would imagine,
but spit happens. Jalen Carter is crazy now Jaalen Carter.
Do you guys remember his backstory?

Speaker 4 (03:04):
Uh ninth pick out of Georgia, I pick out Georgia.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Had the Uh well, he was in a car accident. Oh,
he was the one someone died. Yeah, that's why he
dropped in the draft. He would have been clear topic.
In fact, I saw a couple of people tweet this
like football experts going and this is why I dropped
in number nine in the draft. Can't win with him.
And I'm like, they literally want.

Speaker 5 (03:29):
With literally just like it his third year to write
like how long?

Speaker 2 (03:33):
It's unbelievable year two like this. We need to think
about what we tweet sometimes. Oh my goodness.

Speaker 5 (03:41):
Uh so he was a rookie last year.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
I believe it was a rookie. Wow, unless my time is.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
Off a second year player, I think third year.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
I think it's his second year.

Speaker 5 (03:52):
Okay, I defer to you.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
I could look it up, but we're just doing a sing. Yeah,
you know, I'll find it.

Speaker 5 (03:59):
I think any would never know to look forward to
him knowing the answer.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
He was drafted twenty twenty three, first round, so he
was starting year three.

Speaker 4 (04:05):
Okay, good job everybody, yep, in your face, kevin draft experts.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Yeah, he's ejected. It's not in the NFL rule book
that if you spit on someone that you get ejected.
So the ref discretion it was. It was a ref discretion.
And you know, Dak's reaction was pretty great because Dak
was just gonna laughing, like what And then after the game,
Dak was like, man, I didn't think he was gonna
get ejected. Yeah, I mean, and then Collinsworth gives up

(04:34):
this because you know they get inside information from the coaches.
Collins Worth, he shot his water early. He goes, well,
that was eighty percent of the Cowboys game plan was
stopping Jalen Carter.

Speaker 5 (04:45):
Incredible.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
I was like, okay, so we know that. Well, the
Irving police have decided to weigh in. I guess since
they don't have to worry about the White House anymore.

Speaker 5 (04:53):
Well, oh, that was a copel issue?

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Was it?

Speaker 2 (04:55):
Compel? Really?

Speaker 5 (04:57):
It was not far from our buddy Ruben's house.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Valley ranchers and compel tea. Yeah, wow, that's hard to believe. Yeah,
they put a tweet of a police officer riding a
ticket and it's a spitting not just a no no
in the NFL Texas Penal Code twenty two oh one.
In Texas, the penal code does not define spitting as
a standalone offence, and said spitting on a person is

(05:21):
considered assault. It's a Class C and misdemeanor assault.

Speaker 5 (05:25):
Yeah. I think we've talked about this, did y'all know?

Speaker 2 (05:28):
I didn't know that we talked about this.

Speaker 4 (05:29):
For some reason, put your body fluids on somebody else.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
Yeah, you can't just that you're paying that.

Speaker 5 (05:34):
Oh yeah, right, then that's a transaction.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
What if they're paying you that is R.

Speaker 5 (05:38):
Kelly situation.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
That's just a job.

Speaker 5 (05:40):
That's the kind of person I want to know I
can get paid.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
I had no idea. I had no idea.

Speaker 5 (05:47):
What is the Texas pen code?

Speaker 2 (05:50):
A little long and a little to the left. Yeah,
the ballpeen hammer, ballpeen hammer. I got a segment of
the ball peen hammer. Is that right? Not for today?
But man, I've been sitting on it for a while.
I've been sitting on this ball peen hammer for a while. Okay,
the whole segment about Hyot's name that it's crazy. Yeah,
ceedee lamb seven drops last year, four last night, even

(06:13):
the last one they're calling and drop, Oh they are.
I think I don't have a problem with what the
Cowboys did there, but I would have liked for them
to have hurried called the fourth and three play before
the two minute warning, because you give giving yourself a
fourth time out. But it was too close. It was
like two fifteen. That decision's got to be made. The
cock is running.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
You've got to be you've got to be so dialed
in for that play, and he was. Dude, he was
ready for the blitz, right, Like that's a quick throw.
He had to get rid of that ball.

Speaker 4 (06:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
The thing on that was though, I mean sure, and
he was technically, I guess the open outs, that's tough.

Speaker 5 (06:48):
He was on.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
Ketchup four than three. That's where they had. They decided
to wait, try to draw the Eagles off sides, which
going to happen, but like that's a tough decision for shotting,
Like I's gonna make that call, literally, because the worst
thing that can happen is you rush a play and
the two minute warning happens, and then you lose in
both of those scenarios right there. But they had time
to go draw something up there, and Turpin was underneath

(07:09):
and it looked like he was kind of covered by
the linebacker. Boy, they Turpin ran a marathon last night.
He had that motion is incredible. Yeah, and then ceedee lamb,
you know, drops the tough one right there and the
other throat. I don't know. Look, it's it's tough to
be mad at CD because he's awesome, But geez, you
know what.

Speaker 3 (07:28):
I'll put it to you like this, and I was
saying this earlier, and I don't know if you guys
had thought about this or not. I'm not mad at
CD or whatever. I'm like, oh, we lost this game
because of CD, lamb. But you there are different expectations
for the best of the best, and we all agree
he's one of the best of the best at that position.
It's why he's paid that much. None of us have
a problem with his contract. And it might be different

(07:50):
if it was a different game, but it's to start
the season.

Speaker 5 (07:53):
All the lights are on you.

Speaker 3 (07:54):
You're against the super Bowl champ and you expect that.
And maybe I'm being a Paul here, but it kind
of it kind of feels awesome because you weren't supposed
to win that game.

Speaker 5 (08:06):
And I bet that dude doesn't make another mistake for
the rest of the year.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (08:10):
Maybe.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
Oh.

Speaker 4 (08:11):
I know, he's probably embarrassed by it because everyone cowboy
fans or not are making fun of him, talking about
him being you know, there's people are using AI to
show pictures of him without hands.

Speaker 5 (08:21):
He's always got nubs.

Speaker 6 (08:22):
Yeah, man, I'm glad the AI nub era is here, right,
But you know, he gets paid a lot of money, man,
he's got to come up with those plays, and yeah,
your whole payroll is based on him and Dak making
all that money.

Speaker 2 (08:37):
So I did think two series in the preseason and
the final game does that get you up to speed?

Speaker 4 (08:43):
So if you look at the throw to Ferguson that
was short to me, you could look at that and
say that was a little rusty. Maybe you look at
this throw to CD, the last one that was a
little long that they're still called it a drop, but
maybe but maybe CD needed a little bit, Maybe there
was a little russ because they maybe is hard. They
don't and they don't play in the preseason, so is

(09:04):
there something to that.

Speaker 3 (09:05):
Maybe maybe that's why every first game that every NFL
team play should be against.

Speaker 4 (09:11):
A college team like that, not even a good college yet,
Like all right, there you have it. There's cussing the
Cowboys part one where we're going to go and cussing
part two.

Speaker 2 (09:20):
Well, I think we need to talk about the good
night that our coach had and our quarterback had, because
does he kind of look like Romo last night?

Speaker 5 (09:28):
That's coming up nixty some point one the Eagle.

Speaker 3 (09:31):
We are at Pluckers Lovers and Greenville. Lots of good
friends here, meeting new friends. Just met some nice folks
from Corsicana that are here hanging out at the Pluckers.

Speaker 5 (09:41):
Ye lovers and Greenville.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
There's a great place to come, eat wings, drink some
cold beer.

Speaker 5 (09:47):
Pluckers is where it's at.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
Always follow us to find out where we're going to
be next, because we're gonna be at a different Pluckers
every other Friday all throughout football season. Got some info
on the power Ball coming up later in the show,
but let's put a bow on this Cowboys talk.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
Kevin, Yeah, I think uh. I thought Dak looked way
way way better last night, like even like I usually
don't judge this very closely, especially on adult men. Oh
but I pretty.

Speaker 5 (10:15):
Trim nice ass, Oh yeah, and real nice ass.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
There were a couple romoesque moments. The escapability is back. Yeah,
that was not there last year at all.

Speaker 4 (10:25):
Although there was one point He's probably running the most
he ran and I was like, oh my god, his
hamstring's about to fall off.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
Okay, you know what I thought during that time, I
thought about you two guys. I wasn't thinking about that
getting hurt. I was like, what are Katie and Ben
thinking right now because they are probably thinking this is
the end. But dude, again, if you go back to
the Jalen Carter spinning thing, he's so calm and Dak
is so relaxed, and he's smiling at the most vicious

(10:52):
player on their team, just like what's up, bro, Like fearlessly, and.

Speaker 5 (10:56):
He composed him.

Speaker 4 (10:57):
He was composed like that the entire night, and he
played really really well. Had CD not dropped those four passes,
he would have had a huge night.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
They would have won the game.

Speaker 3 (11:05):
You know what else I thought about, too, is when
he made the tackle after the fumble.

Speaker 5 (11:09):
I was sitting.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
We had this conversation yesterday and I was like, I
have confidence and he's not going to get hurt this
year because he's a veteran. He knows the league inside out.
He knows what to do and what not to do.
Kind of what Ben is just laying out there. And
then as I watched him die for that tack, I
was like, oh, yeah, I forgot about the freak play.

Speaker 5 (11:26):
He's definitely gonna get hurt this year.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
He got to do that.

Speaker 5 (11:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:29):
It was twenty four to twenty. The Cowboys had yet
to stop the Eagles at this point in the game,
and the Cowboys had just punted for the first time too.
I know, the Cow's just punned for the first time. Yeah,
and DA's on the sideline just kind of smiling and
vibing on his own and it was very weird. I
mean it almost looked like a movie kind of. And
I was kind of like, Okay, he's kind of acting

(11:50):
a little crazy right now, because usually he's just calm
and he looks over and I mean there's a whole
meme of him being very indifferent about what's happening. Yeah,
but I thought that that was kind of strange, And look,
I could help but take it back to Micah a
little bit. Has nothing to do with anything that happened
last night. But I think we all know Dak was
pretty okay with that. Trade loves Micah, but they've kind

(12:14):
of outed him when they said the leadership council was
okay with it, yea, even though we've never heard them
once talk about a leadership council, Well, Dak would be
on it.

Speaker 4 (12:22):
What about the Micah comments here in the last twenty
four hours where he's seen him, He's like, oh, I've
never played with this many good defensive tackles that can
actually get up the field. And you know, it's amazing
being on a team where everybody actually likes to be
in the locker room together and be together and football
is the priority here. It's amazing. And it's like, isn't
that ironic? That's corny, Like you're all everyone's criticism of

(12:45):
you was that football is not the most important thing.
You're doing all these podcasts, all these other things. Now
he's act like, Wow, now I'm in green Baver where
it really values football.

Speaker 5 (12:52):
So happy to be a part of this locker.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
Room that's the former Cowboy force field it is.

Speaker 3 (12:56):
And then I mean, I guess the follow up question is, oh, sorry,
you're gonna try to play disc within their system?

Speaker 5 (13:00):
Are he's still going to be a solo act now
that you're.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
A part of all, you know why they just worry
about football up there? They didn't get nothing to do.

Speaker 4 (13:08):
That's what they were saying. Yeah, that's what he was saying,
and his teammates were saying, there's nothing else to do here.

Speaker 3 (13:13):
And you know what, he'll like that for another five
days and then he'll be like, oh, remember when I
used to go to d Lincoln's Steakhouse every other night.

Speaker 5 (13:21):
Yeah, it's gonna be different up there, Dak.

Speaker 2 (13:23):
Yeah, I'm sorry, Micah.

Speaker 4 (13:25):
I hope you don't enjoy watching the Packers this week
end all season.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
Well, you know they're gonna have him on a pitch count,
so you know, we'll see.

Speaker 5 (13:33):
I can't wait to watch that.

Speaker 1 (13:35):
What is it?

Speaker 2 (13:35):
What is it Sunday?

Speaker 5 (13:37):
Is he gonna play? Is he gonna get an epidural?

Speaker 2 (13:39):
Gonna play? Probably they're saying pitch count, but there being strategic.

Speaker 5 (13:43):
What if he got an epidural and gave birth.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
They're also having to go through the fake thing that
he's got an injury just so no one gets in trouble.

Speaker 5 (13:49):
So really, yeah, it doesn't matter.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
All right? All right, there you have it.

Speaker 4 (13:52):
There's our Cowboys analysis for today coming up next, Kat,
where you gonna take some to the weekly weekday of day.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
You ready for that cold front? Hold?

Speaker 6 (14:01):
Hold?

Speaker 5 (14:01):
What that's next?

Speaker 2 (14:03):
