Juicy news, hot God, every stay on top in the
high Woods shovel.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
So at this point in his career, Howard Stern takes
summers off. A lot of people are doing this as
they get older. Jimmy Kimmel, John Stewart at the Daily
Sheet like, we've seen these people take summers off teachers.
So Howard Stern, though, a big rumor came out a
couple of weeks ago, like his contract's not renewed or
is he gonna get canceled. It's seriously not going to
renew his contract. There's a bit of a bit of

(00:36):
a rumors and gossip news cycle around that. And then
last week he was supposed to be back last Monday,
and then they're like, we're pushing his return back to
next week, September eighth. So this morning on Serious, the
Howard Stern Channel, Serious XM, his his long awaited return
for people who still listen to Howard Stern, which is
a lot of people. Yeah, okay, So here is what

(00:59):
happened at the beginning of his show this morning.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
Good morning everybody, this is, I know, not the voice
that you expected to hear. This is not the voice
that you probably wanted to hear, but it is I
Andy Cohen, and this is our first day broadcasting on
Andy one hundred.

Speaker 4 (01:22):
The channel flip.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
Wow, the whole what was it called whatever Howard Sturge
channel is called. I don't know, but it was the
channel one hundred on XM serious XM.

Speaker 5 (01:34):
So it's just a whole new show, a whole new channel.
His channel's gone. He just said Andy one.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
And one hundred and he Andy Cohen seems very flustered, right.

Speaker 5 (01:43):
I mean, dude, what a horrible thing to walk into. Yeah,
meatthead Nation and you're a gay guy and now flip
channels on old Howard Stern fan very tough.

Speaker 4 (01:52):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
I know that you're expecting a big announcement from Howard
and this is actually not how things were meant to go.
There's been a lot of talk about what's gonna happen
with Howard? Is he fired? I don't know how much
I'm allowed to say except that he's not here, and
I am. I have to say. I fantasized for years
about sitting in this chair.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
This is not how I thought this would go down.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
Howard and the executive team at Sirius felt that it was.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
Best to kind of part ways.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
Now, I just want all of Howard's fans to know
you will have a home on and D one hundred.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Okay, so and one doesn't even sound fun. And Howard
fans are not loving this. No, I mean a very
smaller version. But we've had to do things on a
smaller scale like that.

Speaker 5 (02:39):
Dude, I was thinking the exact same thing, replacing Russ Martin,
following Russ Martin and his issues with the company, which
had nothing to do with us. Hey, we're replacing Russ
Martin with sports. Here's a college fight song.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
So well, wait till they decide to let's take some
calls because the h.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
There will still be a lot of housewives talk, bachelor talk.

Speaker 4 (03:04):
Oh wow, the phone lines are lit up. I mean, John,
dare we go there? Okay? Paul in Long Island? What's
going on? God? What is it? Oh? Good morning?

Speaker 6 (03:15):
No ending?

Speaker 4 (03:16):
No goodbye? This is it? Well?

Speaker 3 (03:19):
Look, I don't feel how this all played out with
Howard is my story to tell. But what I will
say is I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity. I know, Howard,
they have a different demographic than us.

Speaker 4 (03:31):
I promise that you're gonna have.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
Fun too, you know, later in the show, Patty LuPone
is here.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
Whoa She's from Broadway, and know what it is.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
She's from Broadway, and much like Howard, she doesn't give
a h We are gonna leave it right there. We're
gonna take a break. We're going to be right back
with more. This is Andy Cohen Live on the first
day of Andy one hundred.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
It is my job to.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
When you all back, people, and I am gonna do
my beast, folks, we will be right back.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
And dude, everyone's freaking out.

Speaker 4 (04:14):
And I was like, you guys have listened to Howard
Stern for years. How did you not know?

Speaker 5 (04:19):
I'm sure he'd been talking about it too, right, that's
what Howard does.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Yeah, and then he shows up right after they go
to commercial and he walks back in and how.

Speaker 6 (04:26):
Howard does yeah, and Howard's back, Okay, so good, you know.
I was like, okay, really okay, dude, this was my
first this happened today, right.

Speaker 4 (04:41):
I just think if you've been following Howard Stern, the
prank radar is up more than any dude.

Speaker 5 (04:46):
We've also worked in this business for a long time
and we know how cutthroat it is, and things can
turn on a dime. Okay, now we've all learned. Now
in hindsight, though, Andy one hundred does seem ridiculous. And
then when he teased Patty lapone the and then they
played a gay anthem, going to break, all right, that's
that's majestic. All right, he's still the goat. Yeah, he

(05:07):
still gotta go. He got his fastball, all right? Coming
up next, Uh, don't and don't forget coming up at
four o'clock. Why you should never piss off your bartender.
But coming up in just over three minutes. If you
didn't play the game, are you allowed to have an
opinion that's coming up in a matter of two or
three or four minutes.

Speaker 4 (05:25):
