Speaker 1 (01:05):
Yes, Happy Thursday, everybody. It's the world famous Ben and
Skin Show ninety seven point one The Eagle. Thank you
for making us a part of your daily routine today
and every day, joining me here in studio. I'm Ben
Rogers is my close personal homeboy since nineteen eighty two.
Jeff Skin Wait, Hello, friends from the incredibly talented local

(01:28):
Nirvana cover band Oatmeal Pizza Blanket, Christina Care, Little Baby
corn Bread Ray. Hello guys. Wow Wow, Kevin Turner is
no longer with us. Hell yeah, fired again bart Yep,
that's what he said when he got fired again, let
go from all responsibilities involving the show, and we wish

(01:50):
him the best. Do you guys want to say anything
to as we sit here and look over his grave. No,
not anything to say about it is pretty even on
our salty little run. Did you call them a pretty
salty little runt? Hey, by the way, you guys see this,
See what I'm holding? Yeah, condom? Nope, extra small condom. No,

(02:14):
into micro condom. They're so small. You didn't know their condoms? No, wait,
a TwixT bar? You just you know the sounds of condoms,
I mean tiny condoms. She said, that sounds like a
tiny condom. This right here, this is a seven dollars
TwixT bar. Because our vending machine sucks. It took me
ten minutes to get this, and in the meantime it
spit out some flaming hot funions. Okay, they're in the

(02:36):
I'll get them to you during a break Okay, they're
just sitting in there. Anyways, Dude, cold TwixT put twigs
in a fridge. Oh my god. I went into the
breakroom while Skin was dealing with that TwixT scandal, and
I went in there to get my thirty seventh cup
of coffee. Yeah, and I skin had somebody pinned over
in the corner of the breakroom forcing a Billy Joel
story on her pitchfork in their neck, and was like,

(02:59):
you like Joel, You'll hear more about that coming up
here in ten minutes. On today's show, Denzel Washington, maybe
not as a guest, but maybe just as a content contributor,
had him. We've got Custin the Cowboys. We've got one
of our friends in the media, Jesse Holly goes toe
to toe, which Shaddy the Cowboys head coach. We got

(03:19):
a report on whether people are drinking more or less.
We got a love shack. We've got so much fun
to get into. We've got ta ta We got to
talk about Taylor Swift. Obviously that will be in the
news today, but I did want to start by talking
about a story that I saw trending yesterday that has
to do with Shaquille O'Neill. Now, Shaquille O'Neill is in

(03:43):
most parts of America. I think he's beloved, much like
I don't know, there's certain people that are just I
don't know, beloved, like kind of barkleyish barkleysh in some ways.
But I'm sitting here, I'm trying to think of what
is a white version of this Dolly Parton maybe just below,
Just like a person who you say their name, we're like, oh, yeah,

(04:04):
I'm familiar with what they do and they're likable.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
Well, he does a lot of good things right here
in the area.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
Yeah, it does great thing. Right, I was gonna say,
Shack the white Dolly part Dolly Parton kind of like Snoop,
you know, like everybody likes Snoop, Right, Don't people feel
the same way about Shaq. Shaq endorses seven and forty
three things. Yeah, I think Shack is revered. He's revered,
although every once in a while a story comes up from
his past, like there was the story of him Tylo

(04:33):
told a story about Shaq pooping in someone's shoe one time. Now,
Shaq came out and said, I absolutely did not poop
in anyone shoe. But people are like, I don't know,
you might have done that. It seems like something you do,
Shaq well goes bond. A new poop allegation surfaced yesterday,
and it was it's this famous trainer who worked for
the Lakers from many years. I don't know who it is.

(04:53):
Do you know him? Yeah, I can't believe he's a
He's a jacked up dude with a balt head. I
think his name is Jake Veto or something, Gary Gary Vedy,
Gary v Vidy. So he's on some podcast and they
start talking about Shack, and Christina was nice enough to
pull some of the audio here. Let's just take a listen.

Speaker 5 (05:09):
I love Shack, absolutely adore him. But you had to
be looking over your shoulders all the time, all the time,
like you couldn't leave a toothbrush out or anything like that.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
He's going to stick in his Oh all right, you couldn't.

Speaker 6 (05:28):
Eat any food that was out. Since we're going down
this road. I told this story, but I've never told
it publicly. Okay, So I went into the bathroom.

Speaker 7 (05:41):
So I go over to urinal and I made the
big mistake of not checking to see if he was
in the stall. Okay, All of a sudden, I hear
my name being called behind me.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
I turn around. He's standing up seven feet tall.

Speaker 5 (05:59):
Right, he's standing up in the stall, and he's holding
a piece of toilet paper after he wiped his butt
with it.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Oh man, that's disgusting. Look at it. I said, no,
I'm not looking at it. I said, look at it.
I said, I'm not looking at it. I see something
out of corner in my eye. He threw it at me. Okay,
landed on the floor.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
Floor.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
Disgusting. I just don't find that likable. I don't either.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
Disgusting and trust me, he went into some detail on
that score.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
You can't do that to people. That's not cool. And
it's like it sounds like he's trying to be funny
and like, look, let's bond over this, but that's not cool.
And it's especially intimidating if you're the biggest, most powerful
human on the planet. Yeah, I mean it's definitely locky,
locker room bully crat. But I think the thing is
that a trainer should know better. Hey man, you can
get the whole team sick, you dumb ass. Yeah, Like

(06:59):
I know you're I know you think you're being clever
right now. And this is the mentality of a twelve
year old, Like that's your bacteria that will get people sick.
Like what are you doing, you dumb ass, And like
the trainer should say, hey, this is bad for our team,
right ah, it's just shack pooping on people. But he's
so good, we gotta let him do this stuff. Yeah,

(07:21):
I think Shaq is so you know the story he
mentioned the toothbrush that apparently happened with Kobe, because I've
heard what do you mean he put Kobe's toothbrush in
his butt and that's why he was up there wrapping
and tell me how my butt tape? Oh my god,
that's why. I believe that's why. But yeah, there are
I mean, everyone who played for the Lakers has stories
of Shaq doing stuff like this, and so it's like, yeah,

(07:42):
if that's what he said, if you turned your head,
that sucks. That sounds like terrorism. It's bullies. It is
bullying because he's that big. Can't be stopped, all right,
So maybe take him down a rung or two below
Tully Parton because there's no Dolly never does no Dolly
Parton stories out there like that? All right, come up
next in just over three minutes. Where are you gonna
take us in things? Skin is tracking. This is one

(08:04):
of the craziest celebrity stories I've ever heard. Been in
Skin Show ninety seven point one. The Eagle be listening
today for your chance to win a four pack of
Ranger tickets to the August twenty seventh game. Also, we
have our very cool thing going on with Iheartradios Thank
It Teacher, powered by donors Choose. You can go to
iHeartRadio dot com Forward slash Teachers and nominated teacher who

(08:26):
can win five thousand dollars to spruce up her classroom.
You know, budget cuts happen. School districts are struggling with
their financing, so that's you know, teachers, they get less
to work with. But hey, a special teacher wins this,
she's gonna have five thousand dollars just really spend on
the students. It's pretty awesome. Our teacher today is Jacqueline

(08:47):
Japez from Dickinson Elementary School in Grand Prairie. She is
a great teacher. People love her. She inspires an uplifts.
Go nominate the person that you think does that right
now at iHeartRadio dot Com Forward slash Teachers and maybe
they will win that five thousand dollars. Denzel Washington weighs
in on the Cowboys. Hearing about ten minutes or so,

(09:07):
but right now it's time for this track. Another edition
of Things is Traffic all right, I brought this up
last week. I told you guys there's a two part
Billy Joel documentary on HBO. And I'm not some big
Billy Joel fan. Like, there's a few songs from the
seventies I really like when Ben and I were kids.

(09:29):
Bosom Buddies was a popular sitcom with Tom Hanks. And
actually Tom Hanks is the executive producer of this, which
I thought was interesting.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
I didn't know that.

Speaker 1 (09:38):
Yeah, and so, and the other guy is I think
his name Sean Hayes. Isn't that the guy from the
podcast with Bateman and Okay, I think his name is
Sean Hayes. He was on Will and Grace. I know
the guy you're talking about. Yeah, he's a big producer
on it. But anyways, Tom Hanks is real interested in
how pop culture impacts the world. Like he's produced all

(09:59):
these documentaries series like TV of the seventies, TV of
the Eighties, TV of the nineties, movies, music, Like he's
real involved in this stuff. And this one is, you know,
similar in that there was a time period where Billy
Joel from like nineteen seventy seven to about nineteen eighty
two was the biggest artist, certainly the biggest American artist,

(10:20):
Like he was shattering all these records. He did things
know what had done since the Beatles. We all know it.
Songs like even if you're not a fan, you've heard
of Everyone's heard Piano Man a million times. Yeah, I'd
argue one of the five best sing along songs of
all time. Put it on at a bar and watch
everybody act like it's Sweet Caroline.

Speaker 2 (10:38):
But it's playing in my house a songingos okay.

Speaker 1 (10:45):
So but anyways, so when I was in junior high,
a big story was that Billy Joel, who basically looked
like a little troll from Long Island, married Christy Brinkley
and at the time she was the biggest supermodel in
the world. Christy Brinkley had in the early eighties broken
a record for most magazine covers. She was the biggest

(11:06):
supermodel in the early part of the eighties before Cindy Crawford, Right,
Cindy Crawford came after. She was probably the first ever
quote unquote supermodel, like where they started using that term.
So anyways, I didn't know the story of how they
got together, but it was a big deal because Billy
Joel had this song that was a beating when I
was a kid called Uptown Girl, where it's like a

(11:27):
doo wop song and he's singing to Christie Brinkley and
she's dressed like a model in the video, and it
was on MTV every frickin' hour. It was on NonStop.
Were they married? They had just gotten married. And I
don't know if you guys remember me telling a story
that Billy Joel's first wife he stole from a friend.
That friend ended up directing all of Billy Joel's videos.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
Oh nice, Yeah, okay, so I watched some of this.
Do you know how many wives he had.

Speaker 1 (11:52):
Billy Joel?

Speaker 2 (11:52):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (11:53):
Just too right?

Speaker 8 (11:54):
No?

Speaker 1 (11:54):
Oh, okay, I.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
Want to say he has an insane amount. Go ahead, sorry, okay.

Speaker 1 (11:58):
So his first wife was his manager, and then when
she they got a divorce, her brother started managing him,
and her brother stole ninety million dollars from Billy Joel.
Oh what, Yeah, who's brother like her first wife's brother?
His first wife brother that he stole from his friend. Yeah,
and ninety million she told she told him, do not
use my brother as your manager, but he didn't listen. Wow, Yeah,

(12:21):
that's sho heeo tani. It's crazy. But anyway, so he
and he's with Christy Brinkley. Now here's how he met her.
He was having he was a big time alcoholic, he
had just gotten off tour. He's going through a divorce,
he was burnout. Paul Simon, who was in the finals
of our Left Handed Bracket yesterday, goes, hey, man, you
need to go to Saint Bart's. It's badass island. You
can hang out. Uh, no one will bother you. So

(12:44):
Billy Joel flies to Saint Bart's. He's in the hotel
lobby playing piano. There's a supermodel shoot on the island
and someone says, Billy Joel's in a piano bar playing piano,
and Christy briggles like, oh, we got to go, so
her and you guys know who. Elle McPherson is. Oh yeah,
so her and Elle McPherson go, and El McPherson is

(13:06):
into Billy Joel and basically like, I'm here. And he's
singing songs with Christy Brinkley and El McPherson had never
met him, okay, And so he's paying attention to them.
And then there's a younger girl, probably in her mid teens,
and she's like, I'm a singer. Do you mind if
I sing with you? And he's like, eh, you know, okay,
fine whatever. I'm paying attention to Christy Brinkley and el

(13:29):
McPherson and suddenly this girl starts singing and they're like,
my god, you've got an incredible voice. And it was
Whitney Houston's first ever. She was a model at the time.
So here's this scene in Saint Barts with Billy Joel
playing piano for Christy Brinkley and Elle McPherson, and teenage
Whitney Houston says, hey, sir, I can sing. What a

(13:52):
crazy thing. Damn it was involved in her career. Just no,
just happened. Just happened, Just happenstance all. Do you think
he regretted that, Like, dude, I was the first one
to discover I could have like signed her and got
on my label and he might. But she actually had
a famous aunt who was a big session singer, so

(14:12):
she was going to get there one way or the other.
But you know, it's like I was sitting there, you know,
I stopped paying attention to Billy Joel when I was
in junior high, you know, because I thought he sucked,
and then every song they played I knew, like even
the stuff in the nineties. I didn't realize he had
records in the early nineties that went to number one
because I stopped paying attention. But if you just live

(14:33):
in the world, the number one song in America is
going to be playing somewhere. So they're playing all these
songs like, oh yeah, I know that, Oh yeah, I
know that, Oh yeah, I mean I knew all of them.
It's a really fascinating thing. I mean, most people don't
want to dedicate six hours to a Billy Joel documentary.
It's a two parter, but man, those stories are just
amazing to me, really interesting stuff. You want to check

(14:54):
it out HBO. It's called and so it goes the
Billy Joel Story. All right, fantastic stuff by Jeff skin Wade.
Coming up next, Denzel Washington takes a shot at Jerry Jones.
How random is this? We've got the audio next. All right,
you are listening to the ben In Skin Show. Coming
up momentarily. Dog Reynolds are soaring and what is a

(15:15):
Frankenstein Rabbit? I cannot wait to talk about this. It's
ten minutes away. Don't go anywhere, but right now it's
time for this juicy news. Hot gods.

Speaker 8 (15:25):
Every come, stay on top in the boot shove.

Speaker 2 (15:35):
All right.

Speaker 1 (15:35):
Apparently Denzel Washington has a new movie out called Highest
to Lowest and maybe it's not out yet, maybe it's
coming out soon, but he's doing some promotional stuff for it.
And he happened to buy the ESPN First Take studio
and that's Stephen A. Smith, right, yeah, yeah, so he
stops by to talk to those guys, and man, I

(15:56):
guess I had forgotten that Denzel Washington was a cow
Did we know that? We did because we were at
camp Remember he went there with his son. That's when
his son was was that show called Playmakers or something? Yeah,
his son was on that show. That's right, his son
forgetting Yes, yes, yes, his son was a receiver on
the Yeah. And so they were there when we were
there at Camp one. That's right. I did know that. Okay,

(16:18):
So Denzel is a big celebrity cowboy fan. So he's
on First Take, and we won't make you watch or
listen to First Take, but we will look surgically carve
out what you need to hear. I mean if one
of the biggest celebrities in the world is taking a
shot at Jerry Jones, imagine you want to hear that.
So let's take a listen. I don't like what Dallas

(16:39):
is doing.

Speaker 9 (16:40):
I know they're making a lot of money, and I'm
happy for the owner, but the fans ain't happy. I've
been a fan. I grew up in Ma running uptown.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
Money earning the Red Raiders. We were the Red Raiders
in the sixties.

Speaker 9 (16:51):
I was running back and we used to shift like
the Cowboy and Andry so I said, oh, the Cowboys.

Speaker 1 (16:58):
Played like us.

Speaker 9 (17:00):
I've been a Cowboy fan since the sixties. He's making
it hard for me not to be a fan because
I'm still a Cowboy fan. I'm still gonna have to
stay on the side of the hat. But he ain't
thinking about us. He's thinking about his pocket. There's box
office and there's Oscars. Jerry been a while, ain't been
to the show. You wouldn't know. Wouldn't been to the show.

Speaker 1 (17:23):
You wouldn't know.

Speaker 9 (17:24):
Uh, oh, haven't been through the show, so you wouldn't
know what it is to win. I love the Cowboys
because I really love them.

Speaker 1 (17:32):
This is the way I feel the way I feel. O.

Speaker 5 (17:35):
Man.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
I mean I think if Jerry was there, he'd say,
did you like those three Super Bowls? I bet you did.
I bet you did very much thirty years ago. But
I love the way Denzel put it because he's like,
there's the box office and then there's Oscars. I get it.
I saw their new team valuations twelve point five billion. Wow,
so continues to skyrock. Sure, the Dodger or the Lakers

(17:57):
getting sold probably inflated that, but dude, they would sell
for more than twelve five absolutely. Yeah. But it's like
that's the box office. Yeah, you're making money. Yeah, it
doesn't mean you're making good movies or doesn't mean you're
playing good football and not getting the hardware. The Oscars
is what proves you're doing a good job and you
get at your craft and you know, and I thought
that was pretty cool. And you just don't expect to

(18:17):
see that as you're I don't know, flipping around social
media and Denzel Washington suddenly echoing exactly how you feel
about Jerry Jones and yeah, it's great. And I bet
Spike Lee was sitting on set going, man, f the Oscars.
They screw me every time. Yeah, so that is uh.
He'd also said the weird thing where he was like,
I'm happy for him that he's making money. Do people

(18:40):
really care that the owners are making money?

Speaker 10 (18:42):
No?

Speaker 1 (18:42):
I mean maybe another rich person's like, look at that
rich person. But the fans just want to feel good
about their time investment, and then, in the case of
a lot of people, their financial investment the form of
season tickets and merchandise and all that stuff. And it's
just it is a very unequitable relationship right now between
Dallas Cowboys fans and the ownership group. And you don't

(19:05):
think they care, do you? No, not at all. I
mean it's not that they don't want to win, but
they're like, we can't. We appreciate your concern, of course
we do, but we're counting all these hundred dollars bills. Yeah,
I put it to you like this. I don't think
they want their fan base to be unhappy. I mean,
I think they care about it, but not to the
extent that they're going to change anything that they were

(19:26):
doing to satisfy their fans.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
I mean, how many people are still paying how much
for a ticket right every Sunday?

Speaker 1 (19:32):
And that's the team lose, and that's ultimately their point.
They're like, we're the best thing ever man, look at
all the money we're making, so we don't need to
change a damn thing. Well. I already love Denzel, but
now these ticket shots at Jerry, I love them even more. Yeah,
all right, coming up next in just over three minutes,
dog rentals are soaring and what is a Frankenstein Rabbit
Ben and Skin Show ninety seven point one. The Eagle

(19:54):
will be giving away Ranger tickets later in the show.
Be listening for your chance to win. It may actually
have something to do with this segment right here. I
don't know. We haven't decided yet. You're gonna need that
iHeart app. It's free. You can stream, you can download podcasts,
you can leave talkback messages. That's how you have a
chance to win things like a Ranger four packet tickets
giving it away sometimes today, Do be listening. Is fort

(20:16):
Worth about to be the next Hollywood? We have details
on that in the next ten minutes, But right now
it's time for this.

Speaker 10 (20:22):
Well, the wild Life Lue, the wild Life Clue.

Speaker 1 (20:34):
All right, thank you, friends. I'm gonna send you guys
pictures that go along with this story that I'm about
to read, and you can look at the pictures and
then describe what you're seeing, if you can even tell
what the hell you're seeing. But there is a new
creature that is roaming all across Colorado and expanding into

(20:54):
other states. And it has been dubbed the Frankenstein Rap.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
Oh my god, it's terrifying.

Speaker 1 (21:02):
Tell us what you're seeing there, Christina.

Speaker 2 (21:04):
So you do see a sweet little rabbit, but it
looks like it's got like these black horns all over
its face.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
It's kind of gross. Man, it's got like antlers coming
out of it all over the place. Yes, you guys
are describing it correctly, according to this news report, at
least so basically. So here's a quote from local resident
Susan Mansfield. She saw one with black quills and or

(21:32):
black toothpicks sticking out all around. Her quote is, I
thought he would die off during the winter, but he didn't.
He came back a second year and they grew. So
what you're looking at is a bunny that's got this
sort of it's infected with a virus. Oh no, yes,
And so the byproduct of the virus is that it's

(21:53):
growing out these like black horn antlers like you guys
were describing its.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
Yeah, it's like a black sheep type horns.

Speaker 1 (22:02):
Yeah, kind of like The Last of Us. Okay, Ben,
incredible that you said that. I don't watch the show,
but here's the second paragraph of the article. Looking that
like they're straight out of HBO's fungus horror show, The
Last of Us. These mutated bunnies have been spotted all
over Fort Collins, Colorado. It says the virus is spread

(22:24):
by mosquitoes and ticks, with cases peaking in summer when
the biting insects are more active. Now, it's not hurting
these rabbits other than you know, if they look in
a mirror, they're going to be pretty shocked at what
they look like.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
Well, some of these look like it could affect their.

Speaker 1 (22:41):
Eating, you know, yeah, getting away of their mouth. Yeah,
but you know that female rabbits are so quick to
give it up. I don't think it'll impact anything, like
in terms of their mating, Yeah, because they can't get enough.
Those things love to beg right, little dumb about little. Yeah,
rabbits have more than any animal in the history of Earth.

(23:02):
It's incredible. They're just constantly pumping, and now they're having
black tusk sex, are they? Is that? What that is
a tusk? What you call it?

Speaker 2 (23:11):
It's more like a tentacle.

Speaker 1 (23:14):
They're having black tentacle sex. But you know if if
you know that, obviously, rabbits don't encounter mirrors very much,
so they're not going to see their own image and
be like, oh I look terrible and have low self esteem.
But a female rabbit can see that. But so if
the female is rabbit, like, dude, you got come on,
you got antlers and stuff sprouting out everywhere. But the

(23:35):
good news is that that's not going to slow them
down at all, because she's still down. She's down for whatever. Man,
I think of a rabbit came up to a mirror
and saw that, they'd be like, oh my god, look
at that terrifying creature, and they turn around and hid
tailed it away from it.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
Absolutely. So you said it's not hurting them.

Speaker 1 (23:49):
I mean, according to this, according to this news report,
it's not. Okay.

Speaker 2 (23:55):
I'm just I'm can we get infected with this? Is
this a first problem?

Speaker 1 (24:00):
What if we had black tentacles coming out of our faces?
I mean, if you had a couple of like big
sturdy deer antlers coming out of your forehead and that
could benefit you in some ways. Yeah, I've got some
sex masks that have that giant antlers coming out of
the forehead and then the eyes are all blacked out,
and then I'm just standing in a room of robes

(24:20):
with you know, Illuminati billionaires, a room of robes. Why
don't we move the dog story to tomorrow, Christina equal
at that we'll give you an update on how you
can rent a dog tomorrow. It's the Been and Skin
Show ninety seven point one. The Eagle coming up next,
And what's going on in Dallas? Is Fort Worth becoming

(24:40):
the next Hollywood? We'll tell you next. All right, we
have a guy, he's been a guest on our show.
I'd stop short of calling him a friend. I don't
think he necessarily knows who we are, maybe, but we've
had him on our show before in studio. This is
the dude who created top Golf, and coming up in
ten minutes, you might be shocked to find out what
he just bought next. That's coming up here moment. But

(25:00):
right now it's time for this. What's going on in
Dallas down our top.

Speaker 2 (25:19):
So I saw this this morning, and this is actually
pretty exciting. So Taylor Sheridan, we all know Taylor Sheridan.
He did Yellowstone and all kinds of cowboy Western stuff.
That's his thing.

Speaker 1 (25:31):
I just found out. According to Ben, he wrote Sacario.

Speaker 2 (25:34):
Okay you know that. Yeah, that's right, you told us
that last week. Well, apparently he also owns an entire studio.
It's called SGS Studios, and they are launching a huge
film and television production campus right here in Fort Worth. Hell, yes,
four hundred and fifty thousand square feet.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
Does it say where in Fort Worth it's going.

Speaker 2 (25:56):
It doesn't say. It says North fort Worth. And it's
gonna be buildings, two giant buildings. But that allows for
four large scale productions to go on at a time.
And so obviously this is good for any anyone who's
into production in the area. I thought this was cool.
They are partnering with Terrent Counting College, great to offer
job training programs if you're into that thing. I think

(26:18):
that's huge. That's really really cool.

Speaker 1 (26:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (26:20):
But also they were saying that they're gonna need you know,
like cops on site. They're gonna need real estate agents, doctors,
like this is bringing a lot of jobs to the
area as well as just you know, tourists who want
to come and see what's being produced at these studios.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
This is super badass, Ben This is. It reminds me
of what happened with Austin, Texas about twenty years ago
when and a lot of it had to do with
south By Southwest and Robert Rodriguez doing all those Quentin
Tarantino movies, but a bunch of film production moved there.
Richard link Letter was a big part of it. Mcconaughan,
Sandra Bullock moved to Austin. Became a whole thing, and

(26:58):
it benefits so many people. And I went to an
event a couple months ago our buddy the DOC was
launching a new charity that's going to benefit a bunch
of kids here in the d ISD And one of
Taylor Sheridan's production partners was there because they had donated
a bunch of money to what the efforts of what

(27:19):
the doc was doing. And he was up there talking
about opportunities in technology and entertainment for people that don't
normally have access to that sort of stuff. Like, you know,
if you're a young kid, what do you want to
get into technology. Especially for lower income areas, it's hard
to get technology. And then it's like being in the

(27:40):
entertainment industry seems so far away. If you have someone
in your area that's as successful as him, that's pumping
money into it, it can create a whole biosphere of
a separate economy. Yeah, and you know, I know that
there's a lot of businesses that are rushing to get
to Texas just because the laws and stuff are are
a little easier to or get view more incentives and

(28:01):
whatnot than some other states, whether it's taxes or whatever
it may be. And so and I know that at
the same time, there's people running from California. So is
this a part of that ex It is combined with
Texas trying to incentivize people to come here and with
their business centric goals and like giving these massive incentives
to people for doing things like that. Is that what

(28:22):
this is? I would like to take this moment, just
on a personal level to take some shots at Dallas
place that I love. Fort Worth is light years ahead
of Dallas in terms of supporting their arts community. There's
a guy that I've dealt with in Fort Worth named
Tom Martin's that runs. I think it's called here. Fort

(28:43):
Worth is the name of it. And he's got so
many programs and things going on to help fort Worth
music artists. And because of this, there is a major
music festival that was happening in Nashville that's starting next year.
Year is moving to Fort Worth. Exciting, exciting because of
the work of people like Tom Martin's who you know,

(29:07):
the city gets behind it. To Ben's point, they incentivize entities,
they make it easy to work with and when you
have we were talking the other day about the idea
of culture. Man. The art scene is a huge part
of the culture of any city. It just is the museums,
the music community, and that often you know, ties into

(29:27):
venues and then also ties into dining and all these things.
I'm sorry, Dallas, I love you, but fort Worth is
kicking your ass in that department and it ain't even close.
So I was just googling it looking at this, and
it looks like December twenty twenty four, fort Worth City
Council approved the creation of the Media Production Development Zone
in the Alliance area. Is that where this is? I wonder,

(29:48):
I'm not super I think Alliance is north for offering
a two year use in sales tax exemptions for film facilities. Okay,
that's what you do, man, You want that work. Make
it easy for them to become work there. Yeah, and
you see different cities work this way, like, hey, we're
trying to keep tax dollars here. We'll offer incentives for
different businesses to come here because we know it'll you know,

(30:08):
and you have a limited amount of those incentives to
offer out. So good for them going for this. And
these production studios are I think you're going to start
moving here more often. Meanwhile, Dallas can't get out of
it's on What that's okay man, yep, all right. It's
the Been in Skin Show ninety seven point one The Eagle,
a local man helped create top golf and now he's

(30:29):
done doing something huge in the NBA. What is it?
We'll tell you next right here on the Eagle Been
in Skin Show ninety seven point one The Eagle. Yes,
we will be giving away Ranger tickets. We have a
four pack for the August twenty seventh game. At some
point in the five o'clock hour, be listening for your
chance to win. Coming up about thirty minutes from now.
We have the Today Game. We never podcast that you

(30:51):
gotta listen to it live, but right now it's time
for this.

Speaker 10 (30:56):
Now it's cool around the sports at tweets as all
the sports.

Speaker 5 (31:05):
Man.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
I ain't kt fun tweets all right, just grabbed my
attention this morning. Ben Tom Dundon to buy Trailblazers keep
team in Portland. I was like, wait, what so if
you don't know, Tom Dundon is a Dallas dude, and
we know we knew him because you know, we had

(31:28):
some friends that worked with him, and he got top
Golf up and going and that was huge. And then
remember he was dabbling in that football league that Johnny
Manziel was going to play in, and so we actually
had him in the studio when we were at the
fan and he owned like a NHL team too, right,
So he ended up buying the Carolina Panthers as well,

(31:49):
and not Carolina Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes, the NHL team and
they've had a lot of success. But yeah, so he's
top golf Carolina and a team, and he dabbled into
Johnny manziel side football league and now he's bought the
Portland Trail Blazers and I first started hearing about him
because apparently he loves pickup basketball, right, So he was

(32:13):
a big pickup basketball player and he would play in
those games with Mark Cuban and Matt Fitzgerald rest in Pece.
Matt worked for him, so you'd play in all those
games and everybody knew about him. And apparently he had
this exclusive high level basketball game. So he's apparently always
loved hoops. Yeah, well the value eight, so you know,

(32:33):
basically Paul Allen is the king of that area. He
passed away and is he had to stake in the
Seahawks and the Trail Blazers and other you know, franchises
up in the Northwest. And all Dundon is buying into
is the trail Blazers. He's not, according to the ESPN story,
He's not buying into other of those things that Paul

(32:57):
Allen owned. But it's a four billion dollar valuation and
he has zero plans of moving the team according to
this article, and he is immediately going to start working
with trying to build a new arena in Portland that
works with the city of Portland. Well, what are the

(33:17):
MAVs sell for? MAVs sold Cubans hes HEBN still owned
twenty seven percent of it, seventy three percent of it
sold for like five something I something like that. I
think I might have been this week. I had a
three point three point five billions, so the blak But
also keep in mind that the Blazer sale is after

(33:40):
the new media rights deal for the NBA, so values
of teams just went up. Like, did you guys see
that the Celtics sold for six point one billion? Yeah? Okay,
I go, oh, the Laker sold for ten. Lakers sold
for ten and I think Genie Buss kept fifteen percent
of that. Wow, I think, yeah, But you know that's
Los Angeles. Yeah, and they're one of the teams too

(34:02):
that still has a lucrative TV deal because it's Los Angeles.
The guy that bought the Lakers is Magic Johnson's partner
in the Dodgers. The same guy owns the Dodgers and
the Lakers. God. Yeah, So anyways, I mean, I just
think that's really really interesting that a guy from here
is owning the Trailblazers, And it's like more and more

(34:23):
private equity is finding their way into professional sports. And
this is kind of a side story. Is this the
thing that's going to hurt the value of the NBA
ben because I saw a really fascinating story Michael Porter
junior good NBA player, not a great NBA player, but
a highly paid good NBA player, And his quote is

(34:46):
sports betting impact is going to get worse in the NBA.
And this is a guy whose brother just got banned
from the NBA for throwing games for prop bets. Here's
what he said, and I find this to be terribly interesting.
He said, the enjoyment of the game isn't for the

(35:06):
game anymore and so that people can make money. In reality,
way more people are losing money than making money. Talking
about gaming, he says, these people in the league that
come from nothing, think about it, if you could get
all your homies rich by telling them, Yo, bet ten
thousand dollars on my under this one game, I'm going
to act like I've got an injury and I'm going

(35:28):
to sit out. I'm going to come out after three
minutes and they all get a little bag because you
did it in one game. That is so not okay.
But some people probably think like that. They come from
nothing and all their homies have nothing. Wow. I was
wondering if he could get in trouble for even just
that thought process. But then he said that's not okay. Yeah,

(35:50):
he said, it's ruining the game. Yeah, but like all
the you know, all the betting on games used to
be under the table. Now it's all above board. And
you know, there's like, we're big advocates of prize picks,
for example, we love prize picks. Casino owners now owned
the Dallas Mavericks. It's like, you know, Adam Silver's whole

(36:10):
viewpoint was, why do all this stuff under the table.
Let's try to regulate it and make it above board.
But man, it's just like any system. If someone can
game a system and get over on it, they're going
to They're going to until they get caught. One closing
thought before we bail back to Top Golf, Ye, I
think of Matt Damon turning down the role of Jake

(36:31):
Sully and Avatar and he was going to get a
huge part of the movie rights, and he said it's
the biggest mistake he ever made. Huh. I think it
was Romo who told us he had a chance to
invest in Top Golf. Oh wow, didn't wow, And he
had regret wished he had he would have done. Well.
We were talking about Shack earlier. Do you know what
he decided not to invest in Starbucks? You know what

(36:52):
he told Howard Schultz Black people don't drink coffee like that.
That's a story like you can go find that online
and Shack and very much regrets. It's a tough day
for Shock. Coming up next, it's a news quikie. Are
you are you about to have to buy another phone?
We'll explain next. Back to the Ben and Skin show
on ninety seven. All right, what dude, Tim Tebow and

(37:17):
Halle Berry have in common? We're gonna tell you coming
up there at about ten minutes, and we got cuss
in the Cowboys, one of our favorite local media folks,
a former player went toe to toe with the cowboys
new head coach. We've got the audio from that. And
then we got a love Shack today coming up at
five thirty hour. Have you been lying about the size
of your member? We'll get into that coming up momentarily,

(37:39):
but right now it's time for this. Give me that
news quickie. Weill have iPhones right yup. You guys get
excited when the new iPhone comes out.

Speaker 11 (37:50):
I do.

Speaker 2 (37:51):
I used to not anymore I'm still on.

Speaker 1 (37:53):
Like thirteen I think I do, because as time has
gone by, the cameras on these things have gotten so
sophisticated and so good that, you know, for a while there,
I went purchased a real camera and was trying to
go down that road for social media and stuff, and
it was just such a pain in the ass. I
should up using my phone. And then as these cameras

(38:15):
have advanced, it's like, you don't even need this separate camera.
These cameras are good, and so each time a new
phone comes out, typically there's some upgrade to the camera.
It's gonna be an upgrade for me and Christina regardless.
What is your what is your current model? I just
went and looked mine is Mine is an iPhone thirteen
Pro yep, okay, and we're getting ready. I'm looking at

(38:38):
this headline and they're getting ready to drop the seventeen,
the seventeen Pro, and the seventeen Pro Max.

Speaker 2 (38:43):
I've got the thirteen Pro as well.

Speaker 1 (38:45):
So yeah, I've got the sixteen Pro Max. Whoa look. Yeah, see, dude,
I told you man Ben is rich. He has got
iPhone money. That dude is rich.

Speaker 2 (38:57):
So we're about to be four models behind, so.

Speaker 1 (39:00):
Yeah, I do think the other day I was thinking, man,
I think it's time to get another one. I can't
remember and they always have the deal. I'm AT and
t's my carrier, AT and T.

Speaker 11 (39:11):
A.

Speaker 1 (39:12):
Oh that's an inside joke Forbidden Skinned listeners that also
love Coheat and Cambria. But but here's this, here's the
specs on the new one. Oh, I got another quick
question on y'all as we're making fun of me for
being outdated, Do you guys rock AirPods?

Speaker 2 (39:28):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (39:28):
I do, I don't.

Speaker 2 (39:29):
I love them. I got them as a gift because
I agree. I probably wouldn't buy them for myself, but
I got them as a gift and they are incredible. Like,
if you're walking, you would love them on your little
Japanese interval walks. Yeah, and someone texts you, it'll go immediately,
it'll read the text to you. I mean, it's annoying
if you're in.

Speaker 1 (39:46):
A group text but oh no, can you turn that off?

Speaker 2 (39:50):
Yeah? Yeah, you can turn Yeah, but it's great.

Speaker 1 (39:53):
And you only listen to Japanese music, right, and it's
speed it up. On forty five, I have a playlist
of traditional Japanese fulk instruments, and then there's like wind
chimes blowing along with it, and then when it cranks,
it's like I put on the Japanese heavy metal band
loudness and yeah. So here's what we have with the

(40:15):
seventeen Pro and the seventeen. This is really more for
Ben because me and Christina are so far away from
knowing the difference. Anyways, A slightly larger six point three
inch screen, it says, with an increase of point two
inches compared to the iPhone sixteen, as well as a
one hundred and twenty hertz display, substantial upgrade from the

(40:35):
current sixty hertz. Wow that's doubled. Wow, Holy cow, what
I like seeing you get surprised at. It's also rumored
to have a twenty four megapixel front camera. Oh yeah, yeah, see,
I know just enough to get myself in trouble. I

(40:56):
don't know enough to master these things. But we have
our buddy Jason, who I holler at get advice and guidance.
I'm like, dude, is this enough of an upgrade? Is
it worth? And He's like nope or yep, And so
that kind of informs me.

Speaker 12 (41:07):
But I have this.

Speaker 1 (41:07):
I love technology, but I don't. It is a curse
that I have, Like you know, like we had a
meeting today. We have this zoom call or whatever, and
everybody sends it on different platforms. It's in work day
or whatever, It's on these different places. I have the
appointment saved on my calendar. I go to click it
to join in. I can't join. Yeah, I can't join.

(41:27):
So then I had to go get my email, find
the email that sent the appointment, found it, click the link,
was able to join, and then no audio were meet.
Me and the other person in the call were watching
Ben's face as he couldn't hear, like what am I
supposed to do? He was, so that is wrong, And
I just said to the other person, I go, I
can tell on Ben's face he can't hear us, so

(41:48):
I'm gonna pull him in. Yes I am a cat.
I'm not a cat. And I don't know what it is.

Speaker 2 (41:54):
Why is this?

Speaker 1 (41:55):
Why do I have this curse? And it's so weird
because you just just like Kip dynamite, Yes, you love technology, technology,
all right?

Speaker 5 (42:05):
Do you?

Speaker 1 (42:05):
What do you guys think this thing is priced at? Ooh,
eighteen hundred? Ooh?

Speaker 2 (42:12):
I think I remember eight hundred.

Speaker 1 (42:14):
Ben's about to save money on his because of his
large prediction. Okay, so the seventeen is priced at eight hundred. Yeah,
the pro Max is priced at twelve fifty. So twelve
fifty for Ben, eight hundred for you Christina.

Speaker 2 (42:27):
Okay, cool, yeah my condo.

Speaker 10 (42:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (42:32):
Finally, of course we say thank you, Orchard. Yes, all right, gentlemen,
have you been lying about the size of your units?
If so, the Love Shack is here to put you
on blast. That's coming up here momentarily. Maybe I should
rephrase that. We got a weekday update coming up. Is
everyone drinking less or are they drinking more? Stay tuned
to find out. That's about ten minutes away. But right

(42:54):
now it's time for this, Come on rise all right.
We are huge fans of our friends over at DLLs.

(43:20):
No matter what it is, it's the All City company,
it's local teams, local podcasts. They do phenomenal work. We
have so many friends over there. The great Jeff Cavanaugh
is over there, for instance, and in their Cowboys coverage,
he's got Clarence Hill there, and he's got the great
Jesse Holly, longtime friend of ours. Now Jesse Holly is
a former Wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys. Dear friend
of ours, obviously, but he also won a national championship

(43:44):
playing basketball at North Carolina. Just a really interesting dude,
does a ton of work for local charities. We absolutely
love this dude, good good friend of the show. So
Jesse and the d LLS Cowboys crew are out at
training camp and they had Schottenheimer on Shotty, So they
have the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys on And

(44:05):
I think this brings up an interesting point because when
we do you know, we've done sports talk before, we
dabble in it. Now we wet our beacon it. But
we're not doing a hardcore sports talk show obviously. But
when you are giving a strong opinion, like I had
an opinion in twenty eleven, the worst opinion I've ever had,
that the Maps were going to be the one and
done boys. They were gonna get to the finals, or

(44:27):
get to the playoffs, not the finals, get to the
first round and get bounced one series and bounced. Okay,
So I'm strong with that opinion, but every time a
player from that team came on, I didn't have to
confront that player with my opinion. Now, hey, I think
you guys are gonna get bounced in the first round.
And if you don't do it, or is somebody gonna say, oh,
you're a p He didn't tell them what you've been saying.

(44:48):
Watch tell them what you've been saying, right, And so
it's always the slippery slope with deciding how to handle
those things. And Jesse has been very opinionated about Shoddy,
and I think he's been saying, all right, Shoddy, you're
saying one thing, but you're showing me something else. So
I thought this was a really cool exchange. Jesse went
ahead and fessed up and said, Hey, this is what
I've been saying, and Shotty took it and answered it.

(45:09):
And let's just take a listen to this exchange. Feel
free to stop it at any point. So I have
to be honest with you.

Speaker 11 (45:14):
I've been on this show and I've talked about your
your openness, right, your your gifted gab, and you have that,
and you've you've wowed a lot of people with the
things that you've said. You talked about being a running,
physical football team, and you know, do these things and
sometimes no, you know your show situations where it's like
you know, hey, six passive players in a row, right,
and so like, how does that all come together for

(45:36):
what you say and then it matching up in lining
up with the.

Speaker 1 (45:39):
Things that you do well.

Speaker 4 (45:39):
I love the question number one, and I will say
this the one thing I will always be with you
and everybody, the fans, the players. I will always be authentic.
I'm always going to tell you what I what I
think of, what I believe. Here's what I would say
to you. We went into that game last week with
a very specific purpose. We wanted to kind of put
Joe out there and swing it around a little bit.
That was the plan, and see how he handled it.

(46:00):
And quite honestly, we started slow. We had limited opportunities.
I wouldn't read too much into what you see in
the preseason. The preseason is for evaluation. I don't have
to go out there on the first preseason game, or
even this game against Baltimore Land and run at fifty
times to show that.

Speaker 1 (46:16):
I think I would go to.

Speaker 4 (46:17):
My history, my history of coordinator in Seattle led the
league and rushing in twenty eighteen, coordinator in two thousand
and eight New York Jets led the league in rushing.

Speaker 1 (46:27):
So again, I appreciate love the question.

Speaker 4 (46:29):
The question is a fair question, but I wouldn't read
too much into what you see in preseason football in general, but.

Speaker 1 (46:35):
Even more this year.

Speaker 4 (46:36):
Why, Well, we're trying to evaluate certain guys and Joe
Milton's a guy that needs to play a lot of football.
He's going to play a lot of football this week
and then the next week. And we're certainly being smart
with what we show. And why would we do that.
We would do that because this is the one chance
that we'll ever have here in Dallas where we don't
show people in the preseason what we're doing, because next
year they're going to have a really good idea. They're

(46:56):
gonna have hopefully twenty plus games to look at and evaluate.

Speaker 1 (47:00):
This year, they don't have that. Hey, are we going
to be Seattle? I don't know. Are we going to
be Arizona? I don't know. Well, what about we going
to be Dallas? And I kind of like that. Yeah,
I think Jesse was fair, and I think Shotty had
a way better answer than Jesse probably could have ever imagined,
because I was just sitting there listening to his answer,

(47:22):
going Now, I haven't heard all of the DLLs stuff,
but I'm like, why has Jesse worked up over preseason football?
You know, It's like I never get worked up over
preseason anything unless it's just like some horrible, glaring thing.
And that's the thing about, like, you know, the opinion
business is sometimes you got to like create an opinion
about something that's just not all that interesting. Right. Well,

(47:46):
I loved his answer. I thought it was fantastic, Yeah, saying, hey,
we wanted to get Joe Milton some work, so we're
not trying to come out and establish the run. But
you know, look at these two instances in my past
where I've been big on the run. So I just
appreciate the way he took the question, yeah, and was
like not upset about it and it wasn't but heard
about it and wasn't offended in any way and then

(48:07):
just proceeded to answer it. I just thought it was
a really cool exchange on both their parts. I dug it. Yeah,
I agree with all that. And you know, again, like
I wouldn't read anything into preseason football unless there's a
major injury of a star, then you have something to
get worked up over all. Right, Coming up next, it's
the weekly weekday update. Is everybody drinking less or are

(48:30):
they drinking more? Ben and Skin Show ninety seven point
one The Eagle. This segment is brought to you by
Rodney Anderson Give them a Call ninety seven two nine
eighty five fifty two hundred. If you're thinking about buying
a home in DFW, get pre approved for your mortgage
with Rodney Anderson. He's known for making it quick and easy.
We're gonna give away Ranger tickets still sometime in the
remainder of the show, but right now it's time for this.

(48:53):
Are you excited? Featuring veteran news anchor KT's on tweets?
All right, screw kt Uh. Have you guys ever wondered
where these polling places come from? Like you guys have
seen Gallup right, Yeah, it's one of those prominent polls

(49:14):
as always. Yeah, this Gallup poll, said, you see it
on news entities all the time. I mean, where do
they get where do they do the polling? Just like yeah, that,
but also like who is Gallup? And I was reading
this article about you a drinking in the United States
and we'll get to those numbers, but I thought this
was super interesting. Gallup has tracked Americans drinking behavior since

(49:36):
nineteen thirty nine. What Yeah, And I was like, that's
that's pretty damn interesting. Yeah, we're I mean, so we're,
you know, less than twenty years away from it being
a century of Gallup tracking drinking numbers. Right, And it's
so it's like Michigan with the chefs or not Michigan Michelan,
Uh huh Michelan with the chefs. It's like, how is

(49:59):
a tire company involve? These are the people that invented
like a cross between jogging and running, and they are
in charge of polls. Right, that's crazy. Who could know? Yeah, Gallup,
it's more of a horse thing Ben, which, by the way,
speaking of horse as a song, I mean, I'm sorry,
a story on dong size coming up later in the show.
It's important. That's good synergy. Here's what the numbers say.

(50:20):
I'm just going to read you these three highlights and
we're going to talk about what they might mean. America's
self reported drinking down to fifty four percent after consecutive declines,
the belief that moderate drinking is bad for your health
rises to a new high of fifty three percent, and
drinkers report drinking less and less frequently. So I also

(50:44):
In doing the numbers, my first thought was, all right, well,
more marijuana is legal, But there is no correlation between
marijuana becoming legal in more states and the decline in drinking.
I would think that just the pandemic number is skyrocketed.
Oh yeah, everybody drank so much in the pandemic because

(51:06):
there was nothing else to do. Yeah, and so those
numbers skyrocketed. So I think anything, I don't know in
the next in the years following that are going to
be on decline. Maybe I was worried about Christina during
the pandemic.

Speaker 2 (51:20):
What because I was drinking so much it was normal.
I still drink a lot, Oh I did do. So
I wanted to say on the weed thing real quick.
Usually you have your friends who smoke weed, and then
the friends that drink, Yeah, they don't. It's they don't
usually cross like you usually have a separate So that
doesn't really surprise me. Okay, but I think it's the
younger generation causing this, right, Like they don't want That's

(51:42):
what I've been reading, and that's what I've heard, is
like they don't want the hangovers. They are aware of
the health risk and effects, and they've probably seen their
parents drink too much, and they just don't want any
part of it.

Speaker 1 (51:52):
I saw some studies that that's the number one thing
that is deterring the young the younger people from drinking
is them seeing their parents. It's drink too much. And
uh man, especially you wine goals.

Speaker 2 (52:05):
Oh my god, dide I drink an entire bottle last night.

Speaker 1 (52:09):
I hear it. I hear it from my kids in
their voice. You know, my wife and I would go
to a friend's house in the neighborhood and come home
and my daughter's like, did you get drunk? Wait? What
what are you talking about?

Speaker 13 (52:20):
No?

Speaker 1 (52:21):
Why?

Speaker 2 (52:21):
Why?

Speaker 1 (52:21):
The judgment Like this is the only stat that I
care about. Us Drinkers continue to cite beers the alcoholic
beverage they consume most often. Yeah, And I think, uh,
I think that makes sense because you know, if you're
drinking heavy liquor, you know, the brown, you're you're going
more hardcore, right, Yeah, or tequila or even vodka, so

(52:44):
you know, a nice craft beer makes it far more
casual and relaxing. You don't have to go overboard.

Speaker 8 (52:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (52:50):
I I mean, I still love whiskey, but I and
probably part of it had to. And I'm sure alcohol
there doctors tell alcohol's alcohol, but just what felt like
a carcinogen in the form of whiskey. When I went
through cancer, the amount of whiskey that I drink post
cancer was down. I mean, I bet it was down

(53:11):
ninety percent. Yeah, like I can't remember the last time
I drank whiskey. Yeah, I mean, I'd love it. It's great,
but it's going to be very infrequent for me. If
I drink I'm drinking beer, you know. I mean, I
still will occasionally drink some tequila, but beer is far
and away my alcoholic beverage of choice. All Right, the
numbers say what the numbers say. Ben and Skin Show

(53:33):
ninety seven point one. The Eagle coming up next in
the Love Shack. Are you lying about the size of
your member? Christina is going to report on you next, Right,
the Internet was broken last night. We'll talk about why
that happened in about ten minutes, but right now it's
time for this.

Speaker 3 (53:50):
Welcome to the Love Shack, David Ben's Skin, Ladies talking
love life and a white Mercedes.

Speaker 1 (53:56):
Maybe let us be nice to you, Advice and you.

Speaker 3 (54:01):
Welcome to the Love Shack, Lady Life and Gates Crazy
You need two sex person.

Speaker 1 (54:09):
Hand problems.

Speaker 2 (54:13):
Okay, So we've got a guy here. He he lives
in the UK. His name is Matt Barr. We've actually
talked about him before. He has the biggest medically proven
peen in the entire world.

Speaker 1 (54:26):
Okay, now, why were you googling him?

Speaker 2 (54:28):
I was not, trust me.

Speaker 7 (54:29):
I wanted.

Speaker 2 (54:30):
I meant to leave this picture in there for you
guys just to look at look at him. You want
to look up Matt Barr and see what we're dealing with.

Speaker 1 (54:36):
Great play. I thought he was a kicker.

Speaker 2 (54:41):
Do you guys know how big his unit is?

Speaker 1 (54:44):
When I was with him, it felt like I thought
I saw that he said it was like an elephant trump.

Speaker 2 (54:52):
Right, you know if you guys had read the story
or the guy with the sock gong like it around.

Speaker 1 (54:59):
This is a British Oh.

Speaker 2 (55:00):
Yes, yeah, and again you probably can see the picture.

Speaker 1 (55:03):
Oh yeah, he looks like kind of a crossbeak Kati
and Ron Jeremy.

Speaker 2 (55:07):
He definitely Ron Jeremy vibes for sure.

Speaker 1 (55:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (55:10):
Okay, and I think he just wants attention. But anyways,
let's get back to the story here.

Speaker 1 (55:15):
Oh don't we all?

Speaker 2 (55:16):
Fourteen point five? That's what he's dealing with, right, fourteen
and a half inches?

Speaker 1 (55:19):
Is that well excited or that's just him hanging out
literally literally, I don't even know that. You get your
body can pump enough blood to make that a functioning
thing right in and a half, like in a swimming
pool in cold weather.

Speaker 2 (55:37):
I don't know about cold weather. I didn't read into that,
but yes, fourteen and a half is what he's dealing with.
And he claims that it's so big that it covers
up his feet, all right, And he's claiming that his
giant peen caused him to break his arm.

Speaker 1 (55:54):
This is what happened, all right? Well, because service and
everything is intense. Oh that's what I thought actually before
I was tennis elbow.

Speaker 2 (56:05):
He's got a lot to deal with. I bet that
is a workout.

Speaker 1 (56:09):
He broke it. He broke his arm, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
yeah yeah yeah.

Speaker 2 (56:14):
So he was in the shower, he said he was
in the rush, trying to get ready for work, and
his giant dog blocks his blocks his view of his feet, right,
and apparently there was some shower jel or soap jel
or something down there on that he didn't see it.
So as he's getting out of the shower. He slipped
on that fell and broke.

Speaker 1 (56:35):
If he if he was excited, he could have gone
like break Dancer, stop where he's just like spinning on it,
you know, his hands out fourteen point five. That's tripod.
Come on.

Speaker 2 (56:51):
Again. If you want to look up the picture is it?

Speaker 1 (56:53):
Do you have a picture of it?

Speaker 2 (56:54):
I don't have a picture of it. There's a cast
of it, but I already threw that page away.

Speaker 1 (56:58):
I can't ask her that, man, I'd want to cast
to that quick grind in your teeth on asking her
about it? So excited man fourteen point five.

Speaker 2 (57:06):
But this is why I think he's just trying to,
you know, get attention, because he also claims he's like, yeah, man,
if I move too fast and messes with my balance,
you know, I'm kind of surprised the first time's happening.
And then he said, yeah, I've been close to injuries
in the shower, but nothing like this, because especially when
I'm in there with another lady like you, what.

Speaker 1 (57:29):
Is she doing like jump rope? Like what is limbo?

Speaker 2 (57:33):
Yeah, so he's it's just gross to look at. All
he does is complain, yeah about his giant thing.

Speaker 1 (57:40):
He's just trying to get extra attention on him. Does
he do porn?

Speaker 2 (57:43):
I don't know. If he does porn, he should because
clearly he wants attention that bad, So go make money
off of it, dude.

Speaker 1 (57:49):
Just you know, Look, I don't have a lot of
experience being a lady, but that just doesn't seem like
the experience they want.

Speaker 5 (57:58):
No.

Speaker 1 (57:58):
I mean I understand, you know, wanting a sizeable thing there,
but that man, if kat was here, he'd know of
that guy does porn because this is his category and
shiant that's what he's searching. Yeah, yeah, giant man p
o V. I have a tiny penis. Come on, man, God,

(58:22):
I miss Kevin. I don't uh yeah, I do you
know what I do? I take that back. I miss
him very much. No, that's a lie. Do you remember
do you remember the time Danny DeVito was on uh,
what's that show called Always Sonny in Philadelphia? Talgra? Do
we have that anywhere?

Speaker 6 (58:41):
I dropped my monster condoms that I used for my
magnum dong.

Speaker 2 (58:48):
Yeah, that's that guy. That is that guy summed up
in one sure.

Speaker 1 (58:53):
Always the idea of they're battling on their different ways
to pick up chicks. And he thought dropping a magnum
condom right front of a girl on accident is a
great way to pick up a girl, like she's gonna go,
oh wow, what's your name? But he didn't even get
the wording go, I got it backwards? Oh there you

(59:13):
have it. Good job, Christine, great reporting there by Christina
Kray little baby Cornbread Ray. All right, coming up in
just over three minutes in the big finish, Why did
the Internet break?

Speaker 2 (59:22):
Last night?

Speaker 1 (59:22):
Stay tuned and find out Ben and Skin Show ninety
one point one The Eagle. Let's give away those Ranger tickets.

reference to it was in the Love Shack? You tell
us leave your name, your phone number, your email address.
You're gonna win that Ranger four pack. We'll have another
one tomorrow to give away as well. Right now it's
time for this. You awkward after what you said.

Speaker 2 (01:00:07):
If someone needed a clue as to what that answer was,
there you go. So last night, big Deal, Taylor Swift
was on the Kelsey Brothers podcast New Heights Podcast. I
told you guys about this earlier in the week that
she was going to be on this thing, and I
pulled a few of my favorite clips from this because yes,
I did watch it. I didn't watch the entire thing,

(01:00:29):
but about i'd say, about thirty minutes into it. I
heard it in the other room. Apparently Siroy remembered that
was on and he decided to turn it on, and
I went in there and watched, and then Skin, I'm
sure you watched the whole thing as well.

Speaker 1 (01:00:42):
Oh, I tell y'all real quickly how we experienced this. Okay, So,
first of all, two nights ago, my wife was frantically
looking around, didn't know how to watch it, had never
watched the Kelsey Brothers, didn't know how to get it.
Just I've got to watch this. I know there's a
tailor announcement, couldn't find it, and I was like, honey,
it's not Wednesday. Tuesdays, aw crap. So then she knew, okay,

(01:01:03):
seven o'clock on Wednesday, we're gonna watch this thing. We
sat down for dinner and we were fifteen minutes into
dinner and then she fired it up on her phone.
It was just me and her eating dinner at the
kitchen table, and she was like, can I not go
back and watch it from the beginning? And I was like,
I don't know, and so she was like, all right,
I give up. I'll just figure it out later. So
we jumped in about twenty minutes into the thing, basically

(01:01:27):
right before she did her big album announcement.

Speaker 2 (01:01:29):
Yeah, okay, so that's probably when I hopped on and
story wars.

Speaker 1 (01:01:32):
Okay, all right, so.

Speaker 2 (01:01:33):
I would say before I played the few clips I have,
I will say the main reason she was on here
was to announce the new album that she has coming
out the Life of a Showgirl. It's coming out October third,
ten plus three thirteen. But like, I've never seen a
long interview with her like this before. I don't know
if she's done one before. I've seen little clips here

(01:01:55):
and there. I've watched a documentary of hers, but that's
about it. So I was very trigued, how thoughtful she
was with her answers, Like this was an hour and
a half long, twelve million views by the way on YouTube.
I'm sure it's gonna increase, but anyway, so yeah, her
answers were very thoughtful, and also she's really funny. Yeah,

(01:02:17):
It's like, man, I didn't realize how funny she was.

Speaker 1 (01:02:19):
So I want to say the way I stumbled across it.
So I'm sitting there scrolling through social media, and I
see Jason Kelsey, right, Travis's brother. Yeah, say, this thing's
already got two million people watching, like omg, like he
was freaking out. And then obviously it got bigger and
bigger and bigger, and so I was like, oh, yeah,
I forgot that's on. So I went and tuned into it,
and I was like, it is really bizarre seeing her

(01:02:41):
do something. It's she's like royalty, right, It's like I
imagine that's what it's like for English people to see
like a prince and princess or something. I don't know.
It's like she's so she's royalty. She's you know, this
massive superstar and she's not really accessible all the time
on this type of level. So I was mesmerized by

(01:03:03):
it and then gave up on it after thirty seconds.

Speaker 2 (01:03:05):
Okay, all right, so that a lot of guys did well.

Speaker 1 (01:03:08):
That's the other thing I want to say is like
I probably saw about twenty five minutes of it, and
then I went to go do other stuff, and my
wife watched the rest of it, and then went back
and watched the beginning of it. But I went read
like a New York Times art a recap of it,
and saw a bunch of stuff that I missed. But
what struck me she did all the talking she did.

(01:03:28):
Like the part that I saw it was two guys
staring at or one guy staring at her another guy
on the other screen. She probably talked ninety percent of
the time. Now I'm not saying that like in a
bad way, or that it was annoying or whatever. But
she was in charge. There was zero doubt about that.
She ran pretty much all of it.

Speaker 2 (01:03:47):
From what I saw, she did, and I mean most
of it was about her. She went over everything about
the Eras tour, meeting Travis, all the things they go through. Anyway,
So I want to go back to me talking about
how she's actually funny, She's got jokes. So right off
the bat, she had this joke that I thought was hilarious.
As we all know.

Speaker 14 (01:04:06):
You know, you guys have a lot of male sports
fans that listen to your podcast, and I think we
all know that if there's one thing that male sports
fans want to see in their space is and on
their screens, it's more of me.

Speaker 2 (01:04:20):
Okay, she's making fun of herself. She's making fun of
all the guys that come after her all the time.

Speaker 1 (01:04:27):
Even when she said it, I heard one of them
just make a meathead sound.

Speaker 2 (01:04:30):
Yeah, but what's funny too.

Speaker 1 (01:04:35):
I'm sorry, No, no, I was just gonna say, Jason
Kelsey's pretty eloquent and articulate. Yeah, and Travis is likable. Yes,
he seems like a likable dude. But but you know,
Jason's got a pretty good command of communicating. From my perspective, at.

Speaker 2 (01:04:49):
Least, I'm glad you said Travis is likable. Because they
got into kind of how they met and how they
interact and everything, and Taylor was talking about how nice
he is, and she owned that she really knew nothing
about football, and she gets into this this scenario, this
question she brought up to Travis on one of their
first dates, and it just didn't make football sense, and

(01:05:10):
so she makes fun of herself and where it is.

Speaker 14 (01:05:12):
Jason, on our first date, I legitimately asked him.

Speaker 13 (01:05:16):
What it was like when the Chiefs played the Eagles
in the Super Bowl, and he looked across the field,
across the line of scrimmage and saw his brother standing
on the oven, like five feet in front of him
on the field, and he was like he was and
he didn't even he didn't even look at me, Like
I now know what an insane question that was. He
was like, actually, I'm on the offense and my brother's

(01:05:39):
on the offense, and I'm only on the field at
the same time as the defense.

Speaker 2 (01:05:42):
I thought everyone was on there the time. So I
just thought that was really funny. And then she did
go into more like football terms and all these things
that she knows now, like she genuinely loves watching the
game and learning about the game. I thought that was
really cool. And again she's own stuff out like I
don't even know. It's like, what did you just say?

(01:06:03):
And I've been watching football how long? Bank's Cowboys?

Speaker 8 (01:06:06):
You know what?

Speaker 1 (01:06:07):
I didn't realize too, Maybe you guys did, But I
guess just time flies so fast. I didn't realize they've
been together a while. Yeah, she's been to a Super
Bowl win and a Super Bowl loss with him. You know,
it was for three years. I think it was the
twenty They got together midway through the twenty twenty three season.

Speaker 2 (01:06:24):
Okay, that sounds what I saw. That sounds right. Yeah,
but you can tell how comfortable that she's not only
with Travis but with Jason as well, Like she's clearly
been around these guys for a long time, and it's
talking to him like they're just old friends. And so
this last clip I have for you, so they got
into all the attention that they deal with social media attention,

(01:06:46):
and I thought Taylor had a great answer on just
like handling the negative comments and the trolls out there, so.

Speaker 13 (01:06:53):
Many like friends or acquaintances where people were like, they'll
see one comment they don't like, right, and it will
really in their day, it'll ruin their night, Like and
I just want to say to them, like, you should
think of your energy as if it's expensive, as if
it's like a luxury item. Not everyone can afford it,
Like not everyone has invested in you in order to

(01:07:14):
be able to have the capital for you to care
about this because like what you spend your energy.

Speaker 2 (01:07:18):
On, that's the day.

Speaker 13 (01:07:20):
And truth doesn't right, Like, it doesn't matter where you were,
Like maybe you went to go get coffee today, maybe
you saw friends today, if you were obsessing over one
thing that.

Speaker 12 (01:07:29):
You saw, like you literally like saw some guy call
you mid and and you can't stop, you can't stop
thinking about it. Dude, that's the day, then that's the
night then.

Speaker 2 (01:07:42):
And so I just I've been.

Speaker 13 (01:07:44):
Able to sort of mediate a really healthy relationship with
not seeing a whole lot.

Speaker 1 (01:07:49):
That's awesome.

Speaker 2 (01:07:50):
Yeah, so she just stays off social media. She mentioned
she doesn't look like she doesn't look at her DMS
at all. She's got her comments on Instagram just turned off.
She's hadn't turned off for years now. I thought it
was great. It's good approach.

Speaker 1 (01:08:02):
Hearing her talk too, it's almost like sounds like her
lyrics like or some like she talks like she sings
kind of. There was one thing that I really enjoyed
about the part that I saw is Travis seemed to
be like really excited to let the audience know that
he heard the record and knew everything that was on it.
Really yeah, he was doing the whole oh yeah, yeah, yeah,

(01:08:23):
tell him about that. You guys are gonna like this, yeah. Oh,
and the whole thing is like their old dance bangers,
like it's a pop like he seemed to like, you know,
the kind of thing, like he had something that everybody
wanted and he had it, and he was really proud
of that and wanted everybody know. He knew all about
the record, and she was playing me the songs and
I don't know, he just seemed so genuinely excited to

(01:08:45):
kind of be a part of it. Because one of
the things she said too is like, you know, I
don't know how much y'all know about Taylor Swift, but
her last record, well it was the guy that there's
a band I'm really into called The National and they're
sad dad rock, like that's what yea, And so they
produced her last stuff and so if you listen to it,
it's the music sounds like The National. And so some

(01:09:06):
of her old time fans were like, well, it doesn't
have the pop charm to it and all the stuff
I like and blah blah blah, and she was talking about, well,
this record is upbeat and fun and it's a reflection
of what my life is now. Oh so she okay,
so she was kind of down, but now she's happy
having a blast. So her music is gonna be there,
and Travis Kelsey's just sitting there smiling right like, yeah, yeah,

(01:09:28):
I mean it was It was a very uh you know,
I like Taylor Swift. I'm not I don't play her
stuff all the time. I like her. I probably like
her more because my wife and my daughter like her.
You know, Swit's osmosis, But I like what the Kelsey
brothers do, and I liked seeing these two worlds smash together.
I thought it was really at least the part I saw.

(01:09:48):
I doubt I would have watched an hour and forty minutes,
but I.

Speaker 2 (01:09:51):
Just watched more than I'd liked himmit it.

Speaker 1 (01:09:53):
It was fun, it was engaging. Man, it was pretty good.
That's pretty good. All right, that's gonna do it for us.
I'll never forget the time Kat was trapped in an
elevator with Taylor Swift. He looked her dead in the
eye and he said.

Speaker 8 (01:10:06):
Eyes on the prize. Where you're going, don't worry about
people around you. Head on a swivel, but also don't
worry or interact with people around you. And she then
took that to social media and her life is better
for it. Christina, you want to.

Speaker 1 (01:10:18):
Play some music till ten o'clock?

Speaker 10 (01:10:20):
I do.

Speaker 1 (01:10:20):
Christina is next here on the Eagle. Here you going, well,
I'm gonna get my sock back. Dude, You all right
