Speaker 2 (00:02):
I doesn't have his age there eighty eighty And how
many times are you getting the stomach pumps?

Speaker 3 (00:11):
I heard when after when I show, You're gone bruin
in BEI with s looks he pursuing it told out
Shaw shaking through the sewer.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
Dad, Now what're chilling?

Speaker 4 (00:23):
I think?

Speaker 3 (00:24):
He gole, Yeah, we're doing it three you plotting on
the dock and got a habit for my house a
goat status. How we're starting kidting Crattit shows that enough
both apply like a rabbit June in.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
So out, crank it up, eat the habit.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
I hang out with my friend Rocket on the radio.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Myst talking on the radio.

Speaker 4 (00:50):
It's consent to do this, Fong.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Call it you ag.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Christine Ah Yes, alone and welcome everybody. It's the world
famous been in Skin Show ninety seven point one The Eagle.
Thank you for tuning in today on a Monday and
every day. I'm Ben Rogers, joined by Jeff skin Wade,
Kevin kt Turner and Christina little Baby Cornbread Ray from

(01:19):
Oatville Pizza. We're very happy to be here today. We
got a great show planned for you. I got to
say first off, just where I can't wait to talk
about Micah playing for Green Bay. We'll do that at
five o'clock and cussing the Cowboys. But it did make
me sad. It did make me sad watching him get
that meaningless sack when his team was up by twenty
one points in the closing moments, the empty stat but

(01:42):
watching him, you know, close in on the quarterback at
warp speed, it was hard to watch in another uniform.
There's nothing better than definitive NFL opinions after a week one,
when no one plays in the preseason anymore.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
But we are barreling.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
Towards a hackers Bill's super Bowl book it get your
tickets now at all area Packers Bill super Bowls because
it is a collision course.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
It really does feel like it's a pretty awesome. Dude. Hey,
I'm pretty happy as a Packers fan. I'm pretty happy
about this.

Speaker 5 (02:16):
But I was thinking about you guys, because there's a
few things the Packers did too, like we're gonna make
you last in the intro video. You know, we're gonna
introduce the defense and you're gonna be last, and then
the crowd just understanding the first third down because he
was on a pitch count. The crowd understanding what to
do was so good. I couldn't help people just standing ovation.
And it's third Nate and Mike's coming on the field,

(02:38):
and you just it gets loud, so like I just wonder,
like would that have been acknowledged here?

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Probably m hm, but maybe not. You know, I don't
know when is that one of the cowboys made that
huge trade ta mom? Because he's not an every down
player right now until his conditioning gets up. So okay,
we find a way to stop the run without the
best run stopper. And then it's third Nate and he
runs out in the field and the crowd goes his balls.
It was bananas ball the ballas did you see the

(03:06):
crowd go crowded a little different?

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Man?

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Yeah, I hate it. You know, I do think that
it's very possible that losing Luca softened this up a bit,
no doubt, just because this entire metroplex is already grieved
losing a bigger star for way lesser return, and so
it's almost like it conditioned us emotionally to watch our

(03:31):
best player play for another team. For me, I didn't
care because the Rangers took the series, with the Stros
and I was like, man, I'm good. I don't need
any other positive sports stories this weekend.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
All right, God, it was hard to watch. It was
really hard to watch. I hated it.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
Are you paying attention to what Luca's doing for Slovenia
And yeah, basket, he's scoring like thirty seven percent of
his team's.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
Points and he looks so good, he's so thin.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
But you know that would not have happened here. Yeah,
it was not going to happen here. He was not
going to get in shape. I think he was going
to get fatter.

Speaker 6 (04:01):
Did you then?

Speaker 5 (04:01):
Fat Lego Luca? No, the team Slovenia, Fat Luca Lego.
He looks like jd Vance. It's amazing to see it.
All right, No, I've not seen that. But I do
want to start off by telling you, guys, I need
to ask you. I need to I think it's very
possible that my fourteen year old daughter is jeopardizing my
entire family.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Is that right?

Speaker 7 (04:24):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (04:25):
So anybody with kids out there, this is probably going
to resonate with you. My kids have settled into this mode.
And keep in mind, my youngest is fourteen. Then I've got,
you know, a seventeen year old and I have a
twenty year old, and my fourteen year old has settled
into this groove where she will not eat my wife's cooking. Ah,

(04:46):
she wants to door dash every meal.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
Yeah, no, can't do that.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
And it's driving my wife, who is super frugal, insane.
And somehow my daughter has her own money and so
she will order food like DoorDash or she getting my
you know, I'm not sure where she's gotten her money.
It might be that she's saved I pay my kids
for grades, and so it might just be that she
saved it up over time. Do y'all do a an
allowance at all? No, because my kids don't do chores

(05:12):
because they're lazy and spoiled. But I pay for grades.
So yeah, that's I mean, that's kind of a thing.
But that's that's earning it. That's earning it. Like I
pay my son so much money just to put you
know that at Alan, they have a food account and
I put money into that account. My god, it's a
lot of money. And then I give him a little
bit of gas money he works. But I mean, I

(05:34):
don't know where kids get money other than from us. Yeah,
I mean she's she can't work, so says she has noe.
But she'll do dog sitting and things like that and
she'll earn a little bit of money and so, but
she chooses to spend it on DoorDash, which drives my
wife crazy. And so the other night my daughter door
dashed McDonald's at like one am or something like.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
It was super late.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
It was the latest you can do it before they close.
And my wife was looking at it. And typically I'm
not drawn into this because you know, I don't care.
So I get drawn into it because I hear that
my daughter on her late night big mac order meal
that she ordered via DoorDash. Whatever it was. It was

(06:18):
probably sixteen dollars or something. It was more than that
dog door dash it was. She doordashed a big Mac meal,
so big macfries and a coke.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
So it was probably twenty bucks.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Yeah, I've got easy easy. So my daughter tipped twenty
five cents. Oh and when my wife goes, what are
you doing, she goes, mom, I'm on a budget.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
Oh my god.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
Okay, so now it's my and it came to my
house on my and so I'm like, so, now my
account is going to be flagged and everybody's gonna wipe
whatever we order on their taint. Here's all right, this
is I'm big on this, and it's really hard to
corral it because when something like that happens, my first

(07:06):
instinct is to get mad. And then I got to
remember they're just kids, which means they don't know s.
They're inherently dumb until they're not. You have to figure
out a way to hammer home the point and go,
my god, this is this is bad, and let me
tell you why don't ever do it again? But man,
my instinct is to fly off the handle, and I'm like,

(07:27):
they don't know any man. My daughter does have a
good bit though, when she doordashes, you know, they take
a picture of it when it's on your porch.

Speaker 7 (07:34):
Huh.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
She gets in every picture, like staring through the window
like it's like a fog, the fog front door. You
can just make out the silhouette of a body in
her head. And so she gets in the picture every time.
So when it sends, that's so weird. It's going to
be a social media viral phenomena.

Speaker 1 (07:51):
Maybe it is already. Anyways, did my daughter put our
whole family at risk? There? You have it all right.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
We got the Hollywood shuffle coming up at three point thirty.
Why many Americans were shocked when they woke up this morning.
We'll get into that, but uh, before we get to that,
what are some things Skin is tracking. I've got songs
you guys need to hear and react to.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
Next Jersey News Hot God, every come, stay on the
top in the woods, shovel shock.

Speaker 5 (08:26):
So at this point in his career, Howard Stern takes
summers off. A lot of people are doing this as
they get older, Jimmy Kimmel, John Stewart at the Daily Yet,
like we've seen these people take summers off teachers. So
Howard Stern, though a big rumor came out a couple
of weeks ago, like his contract's not renewed or is
he gonna get canceled.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
It's seriously not going to renew his contract.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
There's a bit of a bit of a rumors and
gossip news cycle around that. And then last week he
was supposed to be back last Monday, and then they're like,
we're pushing his return back to next week September eighth.
So this morning on Siri the Howard Stern Channel, serious XM.
His his long awaited return for people who still listen

(09:06):
to Howard Stern, which is a lot of people. Yeah, okay, sure.
So here is what happened at the beginning of his
show this morning.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
Good morning everybody. This is I know, not the voice
that you expected to hear.

Speaker 6 (09:21):
This is not the voice that you probably wanted to hear,
but it is I Andy Cohen, and this is our
first day broadcasting on Andy one hundred the.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
Channel flip.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
Wow, the whole what was it called whatever Howard Sturge
channel is called.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
I don't know, but it was the channel one hundred
on XM. Serious, XM.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
We No, it's just a whole new show, a whole
new channel. His channel's gone. He just said Andy.

Speaker 5 (09:51):
One Andy one hundred and he Andy Cohen seems very flustered, right.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
I mean, dude, what a horrible thing to walk into.
Yeah meatthead Nation and you're a gay guy and now
flip channels on all the Howard Stern fans.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
Very tough. Wow.

Speaker 6 (10:06):
I know that you're expecting a big announcement from Howard
and this is actually not how things were meant to go.
There's been a lot of talk about what's gonna happen
with Howard?

Speaker 1 (10:15):
Is he fired?

Speaker 6 (10:16):
I don't know how much I'm allowed to say, except
that he's not here, and I am.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
I have to say.

Speaker 6 (10:23):
I fantasized for years about sitting in this chair.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
This is not how I thought this would go down.

Speaker 6 (10:30):
Howard and the executive team at Sirius felt that it
was best to kind of part ways.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
Now.

Speaker 6 (10:35):
I just want all of Howard's fans to know you
will have a home on and y one hundred.

Speaker 1 (10:41):
Okay, so Andy one doesn't even sound fun, and howardt
fans are not loving this.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
No, ben have been, I mean a very smaller version,
but we've had to do things on a smaller scale
like that. Dude, I was thinking the exact same thing,
placing Russ Martin, following Russ Martin and his issues with
the company, which had nothing to do with us. Hey,
we're replacing Russ Martin with sports. Here's a college fight song.

Speaker 5 (11:06):
So well, wait till they decide to let's take some
calls because the phones.

Speaker 4 (11:10):
Are on up.

Speaker 6 (11:11):
Oh, there will still be a lot of housewives talk,
bachelor talk.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
Oh wow, the phone lines are lit up. I mean, John,
dare we go there? Okay, paul In Long Island. What's
going on? God? What the fuck is this?

Speaker 4 (11:26):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (11:26):
Good morning, no ending, no goodbye?

Speaker 4 (11:29):
This is it?

Speaker 1 (11:30):
Well?

Speaker 6 (11:31):
Look, I don't feel how this all played out with
Howard is my story to tell. But what I will
say is I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity. I know, Howard,
they have a different demographic than us. I promise that
you're gonna have fun too.

Speaker 4 (11:46):
You know.

Speaker 6 (11:46):
Later in the show, Patty LuPone is here. Whoa she's
from Broadway?

Speaker 4 (11:51):
And what.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
Is She's from Broadway? And much like Howard, she doesn't
give them. Uh, we are.

Speaker 6 (12:04):
Gonna leave it right there. I'm gonna take a break.
We're gonna be right back with more. This is Andy
Cohen Live on the first day of Andy one hundred.

Speaker 1 (12:14):
It is my job to when you all back, people,
and I am gonna do my best, folks. We will
be right back. And dude, everyone's freaking out. And I
was like, you guys have listened to Howard Stern for years?
How did you not know?

Speaker 2 (12:31):
I'm sure he'd been talking about it too, right, that's
what Howard does. Yeah, and then he shows up right
after they go to commercial and he walks back in
and how Howard does yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
And Howard's back.

Speaker 4 (12:41):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
It was.

Speaker 8 (12:44):
So good, you know.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
I was like, okay, really okay, well dude, this was
my first this happened today, right.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
I just think if you've been following Howard Stern, the prank.

Speaker 2 (12:56):
Radar is up more than any We've also worked in
this business for a long time, and we know how
cutthroat it is and things can turn on a dime. Okay,
now we've all learned now in hindsight, though, Andy one
hundred does seem ridiculous. And then when he teased Patty
Lapone and then they played a gay anthem going to break,
all right, that's that's majestic, all right, he's still the goat. Yeah,

(13:19):
he gotta go, got his fastball.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
All right?

Speaker 2 (13:21):
Coming up next, don't and don't forget coming up at
four o'clock. Why you should never piss off your bartender.
But coming up in just over three minutes, if he
didn't play the game, are you allowed to have an
opinion that's coming.

Speaker 1 (13:35):
Up in a matter of two or three or four minutes,
that's next.

Speaker 2 (13:38):
Ben In Skin Show ninety seven point one, the Eagle
Dirt Novitsky joins the show at five point thirty Today
he's got a huge event. We'll tell you all about it.
Don't miss our time with Dirk at five point thirty.
But right now it's time for.

Speaker 9 (13:49):
This, okay.

Speaker 5 (14:00):
So there's a guy who used to be at the
NFL Network named Peter Schrager and then he went to ESPN.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
His bit was kind of insider guy.

Speaker 5 (14:08):
But he was also on a show an NFL network
called Good Morning Football.

Speaker 2 (14:11):
Oh but you know it's with that cute gal Kay Adams.
H No, she's doing her own thing now. She was
on Good Morning Oh yeah years and yeah, yeah, yeah,
back in the day for sure. Him And there's an
actor named Kyle Brandt who's on that show. And then
they have football players on, so you know he's probably
dealt with the dynamic of being on a show with
football players. So now he's on the ESPN morning show

(14:31):
Get Hard. What's it called Get Up? Gett? What is it?

Speaker 5 (14:35):
It's called Get Hard something like that, and Mike Greenberg's
the host. And then you got your former players, and
you got like an old coach, and you got maybe
a front office guy, and then Schreger just signed a
big deal to go to ESPN, Like you left NFL
network to go to ESPN's I had a big contract,
so they're putting them on. They're gonna get some mileage
out of him. The problem is if he's got an

(14:55):
opinion on Ceedee Lamb dropping some passes but actually playing
a pretty good game for the Cowboy four players are
not gonna like that. You're gonna hear him getting cut
off a lot by dan Orlowski. And then Ryan Clark
is the former Steelers safety who has made so many
enemies lately, like r G three, and it gets pretty
tense on the set of Get Up and Down, Go

(15:17):
for It.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
Okay, you look at A. J.

Speaker 6 (15:19):
Brown, which is this number one wide receiver who got
one target all night, and then you got Cde Lamb.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
But that's the wine.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
That's the target, but the one I'm saying you have
made way four seconds nothing the game on second and eleven.

Speaker 1 (15:30):
It was the one target. He runs the wake up
this quarter. They got Brown had a better day than
City Lamb. But you know what to wake up saying, No,
A J. Brown's team is one.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
And oh, of course like again, but the thing is
this though, and and we shouldn't do this on TV,
and so.

Speaker 1 (15:47):
I apologize that people think this is rude. That's the
non player. Oh stop, that's no that lamb is. Let
me tell you why I'm not saying I'm not the
fantasy football Ryan. I'm not. Don't them don't belittle me
like that.

Speaker 6 (16:01):
I could come in and say, as three ex players
are saying one thing, and give an alternative perspective that
maybe Ceedee Lamp did play well add either.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
What I need you to do, what I need for
you to do is not get mad and let me
finish for Okay, go on, it wasn't about you.

Speaker 1 (16:13):
It was going to be about me. Okay.

Speaker 2 (16:15):
As a player, pretty tense, right, as a player? Yeah,
this is this is not new, uh. I mean, look,
you can play the game and have a good opinion.
You can also have played the game and have terrible opinions.
You could have not played the game and have good opinions,
or could have not played the game and have terrible opinions.
Just because you play doesn't mean that everything you say

(16:36):
is right on point.

Speaker 1 (16:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (16:39):
And here's the one thing, like, whatever you think about
all of this, this is almost universally true with NBA
players or NFL players, or baseball players whatever. When you
didn't play and you talk, they tune you out, like
they just do. Yeah, now we can say that's fair
or not fair, whatever, but that is very much the me.

(17:01):
And like that's also you know, a lot of those
guys think that coaches in front offices are one way
until they interact with it, and then they look back
at the way they used to think and it's different.
But they very much think that they're in an exclusive brotherhood.
And if you're not in the brotherhood.

Speaker 1 (17:15):
You just don't know.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
That's the way that you feel. Do you deal with
that all the time? Yeah, all the time. And you know,
this is what I've said, It's real, it's it's and
I get it. That's their perspective, but it's it's to me,
it's about how you view the world, because then I
could just cut them off. It's like, what do you
think of that restaurant? Oh, you've never been a chef.
I don't care what you think. Like, you know, it's
like you're getting it.

Speaker 1 (17:38):
One. I can't experience what you've experienced.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
But the idea that you only see the world like
this tells me that you're not a particularly deep thinker.
And so that's what that is, but like all those
guys almost to a tee, they're like, Doug, you don't
know what it's like to go across the middle.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
So I don't want to hear from you.

Speaker 5 (17:58):
Yeah, but here we are just trying to do it segment,
And that's where I think, like, it's a no no,
like you can't play that card?

Speaker 2 (18:05):
Are you playing? That's early in their relationship over at ESPN.
It's like, okay, you're doing this now are they supposed
to last? So it reminds me of this thing on
I Think you should leave, which I love the show
on Netflix where the idea is Tim Robinson has this
political debate show and he's like, I go toe to
toe with the toughest opinion makers in politics and sada
da da da. And he's like, and if I start

(18:26):
to lose the debate, I just go on my phone.

Speaker 1 (18:30):
And he's in a debate.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
With someone and they're like, hey, yeah because.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
Of this, and he's like, hold on. He's looking at
his phone. He's like are you he hold on?

Speaker 2 (18:39):
I got to answer this, you know, it's so good,
just totally all right. I can't win this. That's what's
saying you didn't play the game, and really that's what
the whole bit was with Bacon and Bronson. Yes, you
don't know the difference between A three four to four
to three because you never played the game. But you
know what though, just listening to that, I didn't watch it,
and they're yelling at each other in the morning, I'm thinking,
this is exactly what ESPN won. Like, ESPN has put

(19:01):
a lot of time and energy and money into highlighting
Mina Chimes and Ryan Clark just dumped all over. But
that doesn't mean that she's not good. There's a lot
of people that identify with Mina Chimes and appreciator and
listen to her. I mean, this is what they want.
They want people attacking each other's credibility because that pulls
everybody in.

Speaker 1 (19:22):
I have a ten second clipper.

Speaker 5 (19:23):
This is Kyle Brant, Peter Schrager's former teammate at the
NFL Network, and he got They threw it to him
in the studio before one of the games yesterday.

Speaker 6 (19:30):
It's great to see you, and it's great to see
everybody around the country today working there, especially on set
in Los Angeles.

Speaker 1 (19:36):
And a special shout out to the non players today.

Speaker 2 (19:38):
We see you, We respect you on our set and
on several others in the.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
Meantime, leag it. Okay, let's go getting his boys, bess,
I love it. That does all right? There you have it.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
Coming up next, it's the news quickie why you should
never piss off your bartender, And don't forget it's Dirk
Day on the Beninskin Show. Dirk joins us at five
point thirty. Do not miss said, but the news quikie
is next.

Speaker 1 (20:02):
Give me that news quickie and a.

Speaker 5 (20:06):
Couple of stories in the world of bartenders. Let's go
to Grumpies Underground Bar in Orlando. The bartender's name is
Jason Rosario. He's thirty, and he is now facing a
charge of attempted second degree murder.

Speaker 1 (20:21):
And he really works at a place called Grumpies.

Speaker 5 (20:23):
Yeah, Grumpies Underground and yeah. So cops responded to the
bar because they got flagged down by a woman who
had blood all over her hands. She told cops that
she was in an alley behind the bar when she
heard two men fighting and then a man like brushed
past her and said there had been a stabbing. So
she walked back into the bar, and then a patron

(20:44):
alerted her that she had blood on her hands, so
she was just in the like in the vicinity of
just a gruesome attack. The victim told cops that the
argument began when the bartender Rosario, charged him for drinks
that he didn't order. So he's like, they were not served,
the drinks never came to me. I get charged for it,

(21:06):
and Rosario, the bartender's like, you can suck a d
oh okay, kept saying it over and over. Then he
apparently like walked away and then came back and for
whatever reason, he was like, let's take this outside, because
that's what you do with fights.

Speaker 2 (21:25):
A good bar fight to me, can happen in the bar.
But let's take this ouse to the alley. Is it
roadhouse before the cleaner got their roadhouse? After the cleaner,
they're trying to keep it cleaning there. I think they're
trying to keep it clean in there, for sure.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
His post Swayze arrival.

Speaker 5 (21:39):
So we'll go out to the alley. But it's Gruffy's
underground bar, so you're already underground. There's a lot of
bad stuff happening here. So the patron wants to go
outside of the bartender. Bartender okay, Once outside, the two
continued their fight verbally, and then Rosario the bartender said
something about the victim's mother.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
Quote blanking a d like you know what what you
would do.

Speaker 2 (22:09):
If bartender the bartender told the other guy you're a mom.

Speaker 5 (22:14):
Yeah, starts saying, your mom's, you know, having a straw
in her mouth and she's trying to get the liquid
from the cup.

Speaker 2 (22:21):
Okay, so he accused the bartender accused the guy's mom
of being someone who enjoys that.

Speaker 5 (22:27):
So that's when the victim punched the bartender, and the
bartender pulls out the knife and starts stabbing.

Speaker 2 (22:33):
Okay, so now he said, I feel threatened even though
I created all of this and pull his mom into it,
Now I feel threatened and must stab this person.

Speaker 1 (22:43):
Yes, so he stabbed the mom. The mom wasn't there.

Speaker 2 (22:46):
The mom's not she's less into the stabbing and more
into the other things she wants to get stabbed. According
to the story, she's not even it's not even a part.
Why was he there with his mom? The mom wasn't there.
It was just a dis yeah, an old fashioned mom joke.

Speaker 5 (23:02):
Now Jason Rosario, though, has a nickname because officers are
there investigating now because the big bloody seeing the bar
owner came up to them and said, Saucy stabbed somebody
and it's not okay.

Speaker 1 (23:17):
It works at grumpies.

Speaker 2 (23:19):
Yea, Saucy had grumpies. God, this is so great. They're
all elves. This is this is in Florida. Huh yeah,
of course yeah underground. Did the person die? No live, okay,
just barely courtesy stabbing barely. How Saucy doing uh not? Well,
he's gonna be going to jail.

Speaker 1 (23:36):
That's tough. The owner described Rasario Saucy as hot headed.

Speaker 7 (23:40):
Yeah, oh yeah, thank you, officer.

Speaker 9 (23:43):
I hate to see that.

Speaker 5 (23:44):
Other A bartender story that I have for you on
this God Day involves former Green Bay Packers quarterback Don
the magic Man mcows.

Speaker 1 (23:51):
Let's go guys.

Speaker 2 (23:51):
You remember him late ag number eighteen, dude, right number eighteen.
He got a huge contract. I can't say that I remember,
but he was replaced by far I think he's the
guy that, uh oh I remember. Does he have a mullet, Yeah,
blond mullet, maybe kind of curly a little bit too.
He was a magic he had he had a year
and a half. Yeah, and he was the magic Man.
I think Todd Brinovich block for him. Who was the

(24:14):
guy that Tony Maner Tony Yes drafted because they were
terrible and they.

Speaker 1 (24:18):
Took him number two ahead of Barry Sanders.

Speaker 4 (24:21):
Right.

Speaker 1 (24:22):
I want to say, you might be right they I think.

Speaker 2 (24:24):
The Packers because they wanted to block for the Magic Man.
If I remember all this correctly. They were at a
bar in Wisconsin called Brother's Bar.

Speaker 1 (24:33):
Yes, blonde mullet bat ass uh.

Speaker 5 (24:37):
Someone called the police because a man was refusing to
leave the bar after he had choked out the bartender holds.
The police got there and spoke to the man. He
identified himself as Don Mkowski. Oh, choking out bartender since
nineteen eighty two now, He said.

Speaker 2 (24:52):
He told police he got jumped because boyfriends of the
girls at the bar were jealous of him.

Speaker 1 (24:57):
Because he was a former NFL player.

Speaker 2 (25:00):
Okay, sure, and I bet he's probably like he's probably
like fifty nine years old and bloated as old.

Speaker 1 (25:06):
Get out right, So there's got fights going on.

Speaker 5 (25:09):
Bartender truest to break up the fight, and Makowski just
picks him up, like dude, hand on throat, picks him
up off the ground.

Speaker 1 (25:17):
Isn't that the move? From Roadhouse. It's one of the
throat rope. Yeah, okay, the throat it's a full move.

Speaker 5 (25:22):
But yeah, if you can get the mandible claw, the
Makowski magic hands on neck lift of bartender, you're probably
feeling pretty powerful, incredible, and they're also in trouble because
you shouldn't do that.

Speaker 2 (25:32):
He's looking uh, he's he's still kind of thin, but
he does really old. He kind of looks like, uh,
Gene Hackman. When Gene Hackman was sixty five. I could
see that.

Speaker 1 (25:43):
Oh man, you know, I would never have guessed that's him.

Speaker 2 (25:46):
So nobody's gonna look at that and go, yeah, I'm
jealous of our girls.

Speaker 1 (25:49):
Are We're about to lose them to this quarterback?

Speaker 2 (25:51):
Like you would never think that in Wisconsin, though, is like,
I like that hoodie you're wearing.

Speaker 1 (25:56):
He looks good. I got that. Yeah.

Speaker 9 (25:59):
Huh.

Speaker 1 (25:59):
All right, there you have it.

Speaker 2 (26:02):
There is the news quickie, don't ever puss off your bartender.
Coming up in a matter of three or four minutes,
what did we learn about the Cowboys Now that one
week of NFL action is in the books. Outside of
Monday Night Football, we'll discuss next.

Speaker 4 (26:15):
Down school around the sports k to the twins as
all the sports.

Speaker 5 (26:22):
Yes, so we'll get into Micah's debut at five o'clock
and something interesting about that real quick though. From the
college football side of things, the Texas head coach said
something very odd this morning. Texas beat San Jose State
pretty easily, but there was a couple shots of arch
Manning kind of grimacing a little bit. Yes, and there's
a theory that he's got some arm pain.

Speaker 1 (26:44):
I saw that.

Speaker 5 (26:45):
Listen to what Steve Sarkesian, the head coach of Texas,
said about that in today's media gathering.

Speaker 10 (26:52):
Arch Manning seems to be having some throwing pains by
the forty arch arch said that to you. No, oh,
according to who, it just looked like he was he
doesn't have any.

Speaker 11 (27:04):
Is there an explanation to why he was a look
like that?

Speaker 9 (27:07):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (27:09):
I've never filmed any of you guys when you're using
the bathroom.

Speaker 4 (27:12):
So when you're doing that.

Speaker 2 (27:14):
What I saw the audio the video, do you see
the skin? No, So arch Manning throws a pass and
and he grimaces like it hurts, like he's going through
some arm pain while he's doing That's it clearly looked
like arm pain.

Speaker 1 (27:26):
To me. But I guess it could have been the decision.

Speaker 2 (27:30):
It could have been like he was grimacing about oh no,
that's a bad throw, or maybe he saw somebody else
open down the field. But there's no reason you would
hide it. According to Sarkisian, he was taking a dump,
as he There's no reason you'd say that you've never
filmed anyone in the bathroom, unless maybe you've thought about it,
you're doing some physical He's just saying he's not Chuck Berry.

(27:51):
That's all Sarkisian. I don't film people in the bathroom.
But no, I think he's saying that that arch was
either urinating or pooping when he made that throw.

Speaker 1 (28:01):
It was it pretty funny.

Speaker 2 (28:02):
I know we all make different facial expressions, whether pooping
or non pooping.

Speaker 1 (28:09):
Is that it? Okay?

Speaker 2 (28:10):
Wait, hold on what you just showed me, Ben looks
like a guy's hitting him in the back.

Speaker 1 (28:16):
Yeah, it was strange. Who was on the throw? Okay,
so listen to this. No again, though you know according
to who it just looked like he was. He doesn't have.

Speaker 11 (28:24):
Any Is that is there an explanation to why he
was it looked like that.

Speaker 9 (28:29):
I don't know.

Speaker 7 (28:31):
His first No, sounds like Ben's sound. According to who,
arch arch said that to you.

Speaker 6 (28:42):
No.

Speaker 1 (28:43):
Oh, according to who, it just looked like he was
all right? Here does this show?

Speaker 11 (28:48):
Is there an explanation to why he was It looked
like that.

Speaker 1 (28:51):
I don't know, man.

Speaker 2 (28:54):
Okay, So he's beating down you're looking at this picture
and he kind of just looks like Napoleon diedam looking.

Speaker 1 (29:00):
In the sun.

Speaker 5 (29:01):
Yeah, there's Warby Parker endorsement and making so much money,
oh man cranking it for him.

Speaker 1 (29:06):
NFL stuff.

Speaker 5 (29:07):
Yesterday, the Commanders beat the Giants pretty easily.

Speaker 2 (29:11):
Deebo looked pretty good for Washington. Okay, so there's something
to worry about in the division.

Speaker 5 (29:16):
But I think we might have no Russell Wilson on
Sunday against the Cowboys because he was garbage and they
drafted Jackson Dort in the first round.

Speaker 1 (29:25):
And the coach and the gm or on.

Speaker 5 (29:28):
Their last year of their contract and probably should have
been fired last year.

Speaker 1 (29:31):
Why its like their.

Speaker 5 (29:32):
Submergency and they might just be like, why are we
wasting our time with Russell Wilson?

Speaker 2 (29:37):
The Giants hadn't been good in forever. I think that's
so tempting. You just see what the Cowboys do. It's
so tempting for these organizations just to hover and see
what happens, and hey, what if we catch lighting in
a bottle, maybe we can contend. You're like, yeah, but
we're really in no way set up for that. But
all these teams, you see it all the time. There's
so much parody in the league. Maybe they thought they

(29:58):
could give it a go. But I saw Russell Wilson
fumble yesterday, like he was trying to run the like, dude,
you've been in the league long enough to know how
to hook slide and he had. He fumbled the ball
in the red zone because he was trying to get
a couple extra yards, just taking unnecessary hits. That happened
a ton in Pittsburgh last year. Didn't Daniel Jones play
well yesterday? Well they played the Dolphins, So I mean
you can just show up and boy, well okay, oh

(30:20):
in your face, Christine.

Speaker 7 (30:22):
I was in the Miami Airport watching that game, just
like just afraid to show my face.

Speaker 5 (30:27):
I will say, it's a guy who's in a kicker pool.
I'm in there the kicker pool. Yeah, uh, it's pretty good.
When he selected a kicker who doesn't try to kicks.
Moving on to week two, Ah, your kicker didn't relive.
He didn't try. Uh, he's like commanders, look okay. Aaron
Rodgers four touchdown passes for the Steeler. He's back, dude,
he's back. This is his I predict the MVP for
him this year, and his postcam press conference says, yeah,

(30:51):
that was Send that out to everyone in the Jets organization.

Speaker 1 (30:54):
Like, dude, you do not have to create so many intermies.
It's unbelievable. Yeah, they were like, uh, does a feel
good to you know, to beat the Jets? He goes,
it feels good to beat everybody over there. I had
everyone in the organization at all.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
And then last night Ravens and Bills incredible, got high
on crack and it was incredible. It's forty to twenty
five and the Bills go score again, and then Derrick
Henry fumbles, and then the Bills go score again, and
then they're down thirty eight to forty, and then the
Ravens can't get a first down and their head coach
for some reason, was playing Sudoku on the sideline and

(31:27):
forgot to go for it on fourth down.

Speaker 5 (31:29):
You can't punt to buffalo. At this point it's forty
to thirty eight. There are no stops happening. You go
for it like that's just how you have to play it,
and the bills go down and end up winning.

Speaker 1 (31:38):
It was just a really good drunk game. So enjoy that. Yeah,
that was fun?

Speaker 3 (31:43):
All right?

Speaker 1 (31:44):
Well done? Did I enjoyed that? He tied it up
with an enjoy that bow?

Speaker 4 (31:48):
Well the wild life due.

Speaker 5 (31:57):
A wild life believe that this story is taking place
in Florida as well. I pulled this because old Man
in the audio is funny, so it's good to have
a good main character of old man.

Speaker 1 (32:12):
Let's go to the news in Florida.

Speaker 12 (32:13):
In his quiet neighborhood, Edward Wells was doing a puzzle
pad when his dog Bailey came charging into that.

Speaker 1 (32:19):
First of all, does that mean that's a pretty hip
old man?

Speaker 4 (32:22):
You know?

Speaker 5 (32:23):
Because the old man, I know that new puzzles are
definitely still doing it out of the newspaper or on
one of those books that you get at the dollar
store for a dollar that he might take with you
on a plane.

Speaker 1 (32:32):
I never had that. I immediately thought jigsaw puzzle.

Speaker 5 (32:35):
Yeah, old I am okay o that thought I was
doing like Sudoku or some type of fine crossword maybe,
but on his iPad.

Speaker 8 (32:42):
So good for him puzzle on his iPad.

Speaker 12 (32:44):
When his dog Bailey came charging into the house, trailing.

Speaker 13 (32:48):
Blood and suddenly drewish an explosion louder than a shotgun,
and I thought, maybe we've been promound. But then suddenly
the huge black thing which right here, that thing.

Speaker 12 (33:09):
A wild boar, which ran right into the sliding glass storm.

Speaker 1 (33:14):
Okay, there's more here, but what are your thoughts so far?
So they're playing sound effects on the news. Oh okay.

Speaker 2 (33:22):
I was like, wow, this is a great, strangest newscast
I've ever heard. So it's basically like a razorback just
ran through a glass window. Yeah, so did it kick
its dog's ass before that happened?

Speaker 1 (33:34):
A little bite?

Speaker 9 (33:35):
Maybe?

Speaker 1 (33:35):
Yeah? I mean those things will tear you up. An explosion.

Speaker 13 (33:43):
Louder shotgun, and I thought maybe we've been promound. But
then suddenly the huge black thing which right here.

Speaker 8 (33:55):
That thing.

Speaker 12 (33:57):
A wild boar, which ran right into this sliding glass store.

Speaker 8 (34:01):
Wells tried to go up to it.

Speaker 12 (34:03):
With his walker, but he says, the boar chalmed and
tried to attack him.

Speaker 13 (34:07):
And he stood there for what half hour, forty five minutes?

Speaker 1 (34:11):
I don't know, time outood there, time out, I don't
I don't like any of this hold on.

Speaker 2 (34:16):
He tried to approach it with his walker, but then
the wild razorback bore looked like it was going to
charge him. Then there was a thirty to forty five
minutes stand off and stare down. I also, I'm confused
earlier after the explosion or the shotgun to he say,

(34:36):
it sounds like we've been rewound.

Speaker 1 (34:38):
No, we've been bombed.

Speaker 2 (34:39):
Oh okay, Yeah, I don't speak old man, so I
couldn't understand his words. Yeah, he said bombed, talking maybe
we've been But then I think they'd been rewound, And
I thought, maybe we've been.

Speaker 1 (34:54):
Maybe we've been rewound. What is that man saying? Our
surge of Corey Seeker? That is very oh man?

Speaker 2 (35:01):
How he never recovered from the forty five minute stare
down with the wild boar in his kitchen.

Speaker 1 (35:06):
And I thought, maybe we've maybe here now, maybe you
kind of had a Kiseler moment like that.

Speaker 5 (35:17):
Okay, so the standoff's happening, and as we all know,
wild boars are affectionate creatures. Though probably said, you know what,
we don't want to do this to this old man.

Speaker 1 (35:25):
What half hour, forty five minutes, I don't know.

Speaker 8 (35:28):
We stood there eating glass as well as.

Speaker 1 (35:34):
That would be the lead.

Speaker 2 (35:35):
It was a wild boar just came in and eat
was eating glass anything. This is why you don't dig
on swine. Those things will eat anything.

Speaker 12 (35:42):
Eating glass as well as waiting for deputies to come.

Speaker 8 (35:45):
He says.

Speaker 12 (35:46):
When deputies tried to last so the boar, it torged
at them and even chased one out the door.

Speaker 8 (35:51):
The boar escaped.

Speaker 1 (35:53):
The cop shows up. One guy is trying to rope it.

Speaker 2 (35:56):
I can't rope it, and then he chases the other
cops and goes, wait, sure, don't shot.

Speaker 1 (36:01):
Your gun out blowing up in the guy's living room.

Speaker 2 (36:03):
The police showed up, and they rushed into this thirty
five minute, forty five minutes showdown where they're staring at
each other.

Speaker 1 (36:10):
The boar was sitting still. I was eating glass. Yeah,
he stopped staring down. The man was eating glass.

Speaker 2 (36:15):
And then when the board charged, the copy ran right
by the old man at the walker. He just soared
right by him and chased the other The deputy.

Speaker 1 (36:22):
Gilder or whatever the guy's name is. After out the door.

Speaker 8 (36:25):
Yeah, the boar escaped and is still on the loose.

Speaker 13 (36:29):
But if anybody you know, she's this creature, I would see,
just stay away from it, you know, because it isn't
friendly and they don't like people.

Speaker 1 (36:45):
Man, I don't know what can that's big finish maybe?
Now why would he big gues?

Speaker 2 (36:52):
Why would he see chest that? He said, if you
see this creature, I would see chest.

Speaker 1 (36:58):
And they don't like people, he said, suggests, and you know,
because it isn't friendly, and okay, I gotta go back.

Speaker 13 (37:09):
Here, Jesus, creature, I would see, just stay away from it,
you know, because it isn't friendly and they don't like people.

Speaker 1 (37:21):
And that's big. Really, I don't know how you know
it doesn't like people.

Speaker 2 (37:26):
I charged in the house, but then it didn't do
anything but stand still and eat glack. Yeah, it's crawling it.
It's fine with people with walkers trying to rope it.
And how is it gonna be okay? After it sat
there and ate glass for forty five minutes.

Speaker 12 (37:40):
As for his dog, Bailey, he's okay, but he had
to get stitches.

Speaker 8 (37:45):
Well, just back to playing his puzzles.

Speaker 12 (37:47):
Hoping nothing else comes running through the door, just like Christina.

Speaker 2 (37:55):
He's got a dog and he's playing the uzz listening
to Leeds out was weird.

Speaker 1 (38:00):
Al right, there, you have fantastic hold on it was.
It was weird, man. I've never seen nothing like that
in my life.

Speaker 13 (38:08):
You imagine in your house and seeing a three hundred
pound creature come walking in, you know.

Speaker 1 (38:18):
Nice stuck the landing floor show. Yeah, can you get
this guy?

Speaker 2 (38:22):
That's right, Golly, put out a bounty on that, all right,
coming up at five o'clock cussing the Cowboys.

Speaker 1 (38:30):
Come on, surprise.

Speaker 5 (38:47):
I found yesterday to be kind of pleasant with the
Cowboys playing on Thursday night. You know, it's a little
bit of time until they're back at it Sunday against
the Giants, and then to have the entire week one
and not have to worry about walking in on the
Cowboys is actually kind of nice. But then you know,
it was very weird. When Michael Parsons is making his
debut with the Packers. I just probably be clear to

(39:07):
everyone there, anyone who doesn't know I'm a Packers fan.

Speaker 1 (39:09):
Good job, man, But I do want the Cowboys to win.

Speaker 5 (39:12):
I've never wanted the Cowboys to lose unless they play
the Packers week four. I will want the Cowboys to lose,
but I want the Cowboys to win. I think it's
great when the Cowboys win. This is just like when
you became a Laker fam when Luca got traded there
that was like the opposite of that I did by Lakers.
Laker geople who bought your gear. Yeah, there's a laundry list,
but it's like that's the difference in the trades. I
think is like if Micah had sustained success with the

(39:32):
Cowboys and then they did this, And by sustained success,
I mean the Cowboys as a team.

Speaker 1 (39:37):
Yeah, look and went to the finals.

Speaker 2 (39:38):
And it also I mean it's harder in the NFL
because there's more players. This is why NBA players can
change the fortune of shoe companies with their brand right
when they aligned. But Luca, I don't know, man, he's
you know, he keeps kind of an underdog.

Speaker 1 (39:55):
You know, he was ours. We kind of didn't really
know what he was.

Speaker 2 (39:59):
But he's got such a flare from magic and making
incredible things happen. And then he was immediately like an
MVP candidate and just like every single year and he
was ours and he was so young.

Speaker 1 (40:10):
I don't know, Micah.

Speaker 2 (40:12):
I never felt that real attachment there, and I don't
know if it's even possible. It's not really a knock
on night on Micah, but I didn't feel that same attachment.

Speaker 13 (40:21):
No.

Speaker 2 (40:21):
I think you're right about the whole sport and that
part of it too. But you know, we always talk
about this, what makes someone legendary is what they do
in the playoffs or in special moments. And I'm not
knocking him, but Mike has never really showed out in
the playoffs for the Cowboys. He's put up great numbers
and he's awesome. He's clearly a top three or four
defensive player in the NFL. I'm not saying I don't
want him. I wish we still had him. But also, man,

(40:44):
this was different. It didn't shock us, it didn't happen overnight.
And also we were sitting there going, man, do we
really need to pay three guys this much money?

Speaker 5 (40:54):
Yeah, it was going risky to some risk involved, yeah,
where you don't really feel that as much with Luca.

Speaker 2 (40:58):
And so there's a lot of differences. I will say
on the on the playoff thing. I think it's fair,
and you hear that a lot.

Speaker 5 (41:04):
I just think it's way different with what the Cowboys
have on defense. I agree to what the Packers had.
If the Packers have been one player away for a
while now.

Speaker 2 (41:12):
And the Cowboys weren't, so kennyk a guy forty seven million, Yeah,
it didn't make sense like the Cowboys were not one
player away.

Speaker 1 (41:20):
They have holes everywhere, right, And this is where I
think like it was very I don't know. To me,
I'm watching this and I'm like, okay.

Speaker 2 (41:27):
And also I feel like Packers fans have gone all
in on he's a great guy. I can't believe the
Dallas smear campaign, Like that's my read on this.

Speaker 5 (41:38):
Well, well, here's the thing with Michael. Mike is great
when things are really good. Mike is probably not fun
to be around when things are bad.

Speaker 4 (41:44):
I think.

Speaker 2 (41:46):
Presence that he can deflate a room by being in
a bad mood if they're losing or going through it.
And the idea is you put him in a position
where he never has to go through it, then you're fine.

Speaker 1 (41:57):
And I think that's the whole thing.

Speaker 2 (41:58):
I think Packers Vnral totally over estimating, like how great
of a present he can be.

Speaker 1 (42:04):
Well, I think there's a lot of Cowboys fans. I
think we're very quick to turn on him.

Speaker 2 (42:07):
Didn't want him anyways, And I'm like, I think you
probably wanted him on week one and he's getting sacks.

Speaker 1 (42:13):
I think you probably did.

Speaker 5 (42:14):
Like there's a little thing that's like, it's a little
bit more in the middle than we think like most things.
So watching the game, I thought this was interesting. From
Tony Romo and Jim Nance talking about their meeting with
Dan Campbell, Well, we were.

Speaker 1 (42:26):
Talking aout Dan Campbell. They were so relieved that Clark
was leaving the Vision.

Speaker 4 (42:31):
And I'm like, well, well Mike has coming ahead, and
believe me, He's like, well, Mike is a monster too.

Speaker 2 (42:34):
It's not what he was saying, but it felt like
they were more relieved that he was gone Lark than
they were concerned that Parsons was coming to Green Bay.

Speaker 1 (42:44):
I felt the same. They didn't say, but it was implied.
And this is why Dan Campbell's a cave man.

Speaker 2 (42:51):
I saw this live, Like I heard them saying that,
and it got me fired up. It got me I
was like really, but it got me excited about Clark,
you know.

Speaker 5 (43:00):
Yeah, And I kind of just went, that's Dan Campbell,
I think, just saying that because you know, also that's
the other thing is the lines feel like they're good
at tackle and they can handle the guys in this
Micah Parsons every snap he effected the game, He forced
Jared Goff into an interception, the double teams, all of it,
and it's like, yeah, I've seen this before, but not

(43:21):
with five or six other Pro Bowlers. Because the Packers
defense is really good last year and then yesterday I
was like, Okay, now they're kind of unstoppable. And rule
number one about week NFL Week one in the NFL
is you never overreact to Week one in the NFL.
But also, the lines are supposed to be the second
best team in the conference behind the Eagles, even losing

(43:42):
their play.

Speaker 1 (43:42):
Collar Packers are the best team in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (43:44):
Now, dude, I kind of think that, Uh you know
that The main thing too, though you do talk about
adjustments and et cetera, what you have to do is
you have to run plays that require you to get
rid of the ball in two seconds because it's coming.
Like I was, I mean, I didn't watch the whole game,
and I skipped around when I watched it, But that
Van Nesk guy just exploded.

Speaker 1 (44:04):
Off my screen.

Speaker 2 (44:05):
And it's kind of like, you know, when Charles Haley
got here, suddenly the rest of the defensive line was better.

Speaker 5 (44:10):
But this is my good news for Cowboys, because you know,
the Packers have all these guys right now. A big
part of the reason they got that is because the
trades they made to get rid of Aaron Rodgers and
to get rid of DeVante Adams, and they were able
to stock pile their first round linebacker. They're a second
round linebacker, first round pass rusher, first round passers from

(44:30):
before that. Like, you have all these like really good
players now, and that's all they're going to get to
eat and make a bunch of money on their next
contract because Mike is they're taking up attention.

Speaker 1 (44:39):
They're scary. They're scary.

Speaker 2 (44:41):
Cowboys have four Cowboys have six picks in the top
two rounds in the next two years.

Speaker 1 (44:46):
Wait, yeah, that's good.

Speaker 2 (44:49):
They got their second Yeah, their first packers first. That's
six picks in the top two rounds in the next
two years.

Speaker 1 (44:55):
Keep saying this players out.

Speaker 2 (44:58):
All right, coming up now, KT experienced power balls.

Speaker 1 (45:02):
That's just three minutes away.

Speaker 2 (45:04):
But then don't forget Dirk is going to join us
for the back half of the five o'clock hour from
five point thirty to six.

Speaker 1 (45:10):
Dirk Noviski on the Bent and Skin Show. All that's
coming your way next, But are you excited?

Speaker 6 (45:20):
Featuring veteran news anchor kt fun tweets, did you guys win.

Speaker 1 (45:24):
The power Balls? You think we'd come into work? I
think you gotta come in. I like that.

Speaker 2 (45:32):
Christina just sits on her five hundred million after the
cash option.

Speaker 5 (45:36):
Yeah, I think you got to put your two weeks in,
don't you.

Speaker 1 (45:39):
No, I would for what reason? You don't want to
burn bridges cats? I need to work it. iHeart again.

Speaker 2 (45:46):
I mean I might have a wild weekend at Choctaw
and then suddenly I need my job again, right.

Speaker 1 (45:52):
Or you double it? Oh yeah, and then you buy iHeart? Yep, iHeart.

Speaker 5 (45:59):
Did you guys play the Power Bawl Saturday with one
pointy billion dollar grand prize?

Speaker 2 (46:04):
And I hate that I didn't. I'm meant to totally
forgot it. I got in there, man, I should have
got it. I probably would have won it. In fact,
do you know the numbers at one? I know seventeen
was the powerful and don't say okay, I'm gonna tell
you my numbers.

Speaker 1 (46:16):
Okayld On, here let's see if I would have won.

Speaker 2 (46:20):
How many five? And I would have taken seventeen for
Jason Garrett. Yeah, five and a power bottom Okay, So
I always do that, that's my so, and then ranges
from one to seventy seven or somethinge to seventy.

Speaker 1 (46:31):
Nine, seventy I went to sixty nine. Yeah, one to
sixty nine. The power balls, one to twenty six.

Speaker 2 (46:35):
All right, I'm gonna go with four for dak I'm
gonna go with twenty two for Emmett, I'm gonna go
with nineteen for Wan Gonzales, I'm gonna go forty four
for John Riggins, and I'm gonna go uh fifty seven.

Speaker 1 (46:52):
For I think that was Dixon Edwards are your favorite.
Seventeen and I always go seventeen for the money ball.

Speaker 5 (46:59):
You want to have the power ball, And got forty
for Lorenza Williams. No one ball, okay, good thing out
of the power ball.

Speaker 1 (47:06):
So I saved one dollar. So here's what I know.
It's three. So here's what I did.

Speaker 2 (47:10):
I walked in because I always get quick picks, and
the lady behind the so you just go in, you go, I'll.

Speaker 1 (47:16):
Take a quick pick.

Speaker 2 (47:17):
So the compets the computer cheating trust that, huh, but
there would have to be a ghost in the machine
that wants you to win otherwise. Okay, all right, and
you have to pay cash for that, right, cash or
a debit card. You can use card now, yeah, not
credit card, debit card, debit card. So I walked in
and the lady behind the counter goes, someone bought a

(47:37):
bunch of tickets but misunderstood, So I got twenty dollars
sheets back here if anybody wants them.

Speaker 1 (47:42):
What what does that mean? So someone came.

Speaker 2 (47:44):
In and they wanted to buy five picks or whatever.
The lady misunderstood them, and so she rang up one
hundred dollars worth of five different sheets of twenty dollars.
So they were just sitting there. So you kind of
go in and you go, yeah, I'll take that twenty
dollars worth of picks.

Speaker 1 (48:02):
It's already been picked. You get tens.

Speaker 2 (48:04):
And I was sitting there going that's the kind of
story that wins the lottery.

Speaker 1 (48:07):
Absolutely. Some weird occurrents.

Speaker 2 (48:10):
I took something that someone walked away from I'm suddenly
in a movie with Nick Cage.

Speaker 1 (48:15):
I'll take that.

Speaker 2 (48:16):
And I think I got like, of those two sheets,
I think I got like three total numbers combined.

Speaker 5 (48:21):
I'm feeling good though, for that six hour stand between,
like you got them and then you go to the drawing.

Speaker 2 (48:25):
That night, I was looking at islands to buy in
the Caribbean. I was optimistic, all right, optimistic. I went
out and had dinner, actually went and got a snow cone.
I was like, we're gonna win the power ball night
and we have a snow cone.

Speaker 1 (48:35):
Guess what.

Speaker 5 (48:35):
Go to snow snowcone stand and guess so are run
into a listener Daniel shout out to Daniel.

Speaker 1 (48:40):
Oh we got like twenty five Daniels.

Speaker 2 (48:42):
Yeah, we're big in the snow cone community.

Speaker 1 (48:45):
We are shout the snow and the Daniel community.

Speaker 13 (48:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (48:49):
I bought five. So it's two dollars each, So ten dollars.
That's like, that's not five snow cones. No, dang, I
could have. It was good though, it was damn good.
I thought they were three. Uh oh you like cherry
and Mexican vanilla and mixed it. Oh beautiful. Oh so
I have a lot of numbers, but one of my
numbers is there's some there's a band that I like
that has a numbers for some of their songs, for

(49:10):
five of their songs twenty seven, thirty six, twenty seven,
thirty four, thirty six, forty and forty one all songs,
and uh didn't work there. So it didn't do well either.

Speaker 1 (49:19):
That's cold playing that. No, it's a Dave Matthews band.
Same day you try to out me pretty much the
same band. You're trying to get me out of the closet.
You cannot.

Speaker 2 (49:29):
So there was a winner in two winters, two winters
out one in Missouri won in Fredericksburg, Texas. So each
winner will now have the choice of a one time
cash pay out of four hundred and ten million, oh
my god, thirty year annuity totally about eight hundred and
twenty million.

Speaker 1 (49:45):
That's amazing. There's also one million dollar winner in Middle Lothian.

Speaker 9 (49:48):
Nice.

Speaker 2 (49:49):
They got five numbers. I think they're How would you
feel if you got five numbers and know that you're
one number away from four.

Speaker 1 (49:58):
Hundred million which ended up with one MILLI would it?

Speaker 8 (50:00):
No?

Speaker 1 (50:00):
I think I'd still be fine with it.

Speaker 2 (50:02):
Okay, take the mill'd be like, I'm not taking this
million R. So tonight to night to play. There's twenty
million jackpot. Now people already, you know, shot their watt
on Saturday.

Speaker 1 (50:12):
What does that mean? I think they spent their money.
What did the analogy mean? Though? It's me Jeff Watt?
All right, there you have it. It's a weekly week of
date coming up.

Speaker 2 (50:23):
Next, it's Dirk May That's right, Dirk joins us for
the last thirty minutes of the show. Do not miss it.
The tall Baller from the d The big German joins us.

Speaker 1 (50:32):
Next.

Speaker 2 (50:33):
Ben and Skin Show ninety seven point one The Eagle,
And you've been hearing us talk about this. Ben and
I get excited every year whenever Dirk's tennis charity event
comes rolling around, and it is right around the corner.
It's happening Saturday, September the thirteenth, And one of the
things that we're lucky to do is leading up to it,
we always catch up with the big German himself, the
Hall of Famer, the Amazon broadcaster who's joining us down

(50:57):
line right now.

Speaker 1 (50:57):
Give it up for Dirk Navinski.

Speaker 4 (50:59):
Everybody, give it up. Give it up. Hey, good to
hear from.

Speaker 1 (51:04):
You guys A TV star? How are you? Man?

Speaker 4 (51:07):
Oh, I'm not quite sure about all that, but I'm
gonna try. I'm gonna try to be the next Charles Sparkley.
Who knows. But yeah, we're We're excited. You know, it's
just getting real. You know, when I signed this deal
somewhere in the last year, I was like, oh, this
is so far away, and now it's September. I mean,
get a little anxious, you know, a little nervous. How

(51:28):
is how's the show gonna look, How's it gonna come together?
How's the chemistry gonna be on set? And how's the
studio even though we haven't even seen that the studio
has not even done yet until right before the season.
So getting a little anxious. But also it'd be super cool.
And obviously I wouldn't have done this if if I
would have had a like a crew that I didn't

(51:49):
believe in. But this was Steve and you know Blake.
I think it's and Taylor has been super nice, and
so I think it's gonna be a fun crew. And
that's why I'm looking forward to it.

Speaker 2 (52:00):
Here's why you should feel good about it. You brought
up Berkley and he claims to have discovered you. So
that's a full circle moment, right, he says, he discovers you,
and then you become a broadcast just like him.

Speaker 4 (52:12):
Yeah, sort of full full circle for sure. But yeah,
you know, if you would have asked me ten fifteen
years ago while I have played if this was in
my cards, I would have said, you were absolutely out
of your mind, you know. So this this just you know,
I tried a little bit, obviously with you guys on
the mass broadcast and just messing around a little bit,
and I kind of enjoyed it, and then this opportunity

(52:34):
came about, and I just thought it was too great
of an opportunity to pass up. At least, you know, see,
if I like it, try it for a couple of years,
and you know, who knows if I will be doing
this in twenty years. But I thought, for now, this
is a great opportunity. And like I said, with great
co workers, with great bosses that I've met in LA.
I flew out to LA and in the summer for

(52:55):
a couple of days. We had some meetings and I
think they assembled a really cool crew behind and in
front of the camera, so really cool professional setup, So
I think it's going to be fun.

Speaker 2 (53:08):
Well you know this, so I speak for the entire metroplex.
We can't get enough Dirk, So I know, Dallas fort Worth,
we are fired up and excited.

Speaker 1 (53:15):
We can't wait for that.

Speaker 2 (53:16):
To that end, I've always thought one of the coolest
things you do is your charity tennis event. Now, what
you do with the Dirt Nawitchiki Foundation, what you guys
do with that, your family, it's amazing your heart to
give back to the community. But like just as a
fan standpoint, I always felt like the tennis event, and
this will be your seventh annual one, it gives people

(53:40):
such access to you because you can kind of get
close to the action and it's fun to watch you
be involved in tennis, which is clearly something that you
love very much. And so you've got this the next
one coming up Saturday, September thirteenth, Banner House, t bar
M and Dallas. What has you the most excited about
this year's of it?

Speaker 4 (54:01):
You know, it's overall it's been fun watching the event grow.

Speaker 13 (54:06):
You know.

Speaker 4 (54:06):
I think when we first did it at SMU, we
didn't really know what this was going to turn into
and It's been growing every time we've done it. We've
moved locations now to obviously t Bar and Banner House
and way from SMU to format's changed, but it's still
that the same fun. Celebrities come out and play, and

(54:28):
I think like you Like you said, the most fun
is not really the tennis part, it's the interaction that
he's so close to the action. There's some trash talking
going on with Mike's last year for the first time,
so guys could actually talk to each other and talk
to the crowds and play off each other. So that
was super cool and something we're going to do again
this year. Most excited probably about the guys that always

(54:52):
support and come out. Cooper Flags that he's coming out
this year to support, even though it's not big in
the tennis. He's more of a golf but he did
say he's going to come out and support the events,
so he's going to be out and some of the
other local legends. You know, we have Elvis Andrews come out.
We have Devin Harris is going to play. We have
Kobe Khan from Dude Perfect, So we have some fun guys.

(55:16):
Boris Kojo, the actor, you guys know he's been to
the event a few times. Great tennis player. We've got
my buddy Nashy come in and like I said, it's
so accessible, it's so close to the action. So it's
a fun. We have a fun day with food, with drinks.
Let's bring out the whole family. It's going to be fun.

Speaker 7 (55:36):
Ah.

Speaker 2 (55:37):
Yes, we love us some big german. And that is
just part one of our interview with Dirk coming up
next part two. We can't wait for you to hear this.
Dirk continues next right here on The Eagle, Ben and
Skin Show ninety seven point one The Eagle. Remember you
have to have that iHeart at which is free with
the talkback feature to win ticket from us, stream the shows,

(55:58):
download podcast. If you've missed anything from the show, you
can always go download the podcast. That iHeart app is essential,
the leader in podcast across the world.

Speaker 1 (56:08):
It is iHeart. But right now it's time for this kill.
This thing's big.

Speaker 3 (56:18):
It is.

Speaker 1 (56:19):
So we did interview drt Nonovitsky. We just played part one.

Speaker 2 (56:22):
If you miss it, you can go back and listen
to the podcast later. But every year Ben and I
talked to him around this time because he has his
big charity tennis event for the Drtnoviski Foundation. It's happening
this Saturday. Ben and I will be out there. There's
tons of celebrities. You should go check this out. It
is awesome and we would love to see you out there.

(56:43):
Go get tickets. You can go to his instagram, the
Swisch forty one or Durtnoviski Foundation and get tickets. In fact,
let's hear part two of the interview here Dirk, and
you'll hear exactly why you need to go to this.
They tell us in radio we're supposed to reset our guests,
but I think everybody knows this voice. It's Dirk Novinski
here on the Bent and Skin Show. So the Tennis

(57:06):
Center at SMU, it's an incredible facility and it was
a great place to start the event. But the move
to Banner House, I almost feel I feel like it
kind of leads to even more fun and it being
more intimate and I don't know, more of like a
social gathering and a party at the same time as
a tennis That ended up being a really good move
for you guys.

Speaker 4 (57:26):
Yeah, you know t Bars, that's been our club where
the kids play there. So eventually we knew we were
going to move it there anyways. And you know, like
I said, with SMU as a little with six seven
courts next to each other, and I think we just
have a great set up there at Banner House. We
did it last year for the first time there and
it was awesome success with just one show court, not

(57:49):
six six courts playing at the same time. So we
felt like it was even more accessible with one court
and everybody was able to pay more attention to that
one court instead of having six games at the same time,
and people didn't know what to watch. So we felt
like that was so and and the biggest thing is
we did an indoor last year. You know, September here

(58:11):
is still so hot. Yes, so some of the celebrities
are like, gosh, this is hot here and it's long,
and so we we we moved it indoors for the
first time last year, and I think both celebrities and
and fans really appreciate that that move because sitting outside
in the sun was was was hot for everybody. So

(58:33):
uh yeah, it was. It was a no brainer and
looking forward to another another great turnout this year.

Speaker 1 (58:38):
Oh my god.

Speaker 2 (58:39):
If and if you're just listening to this man get
tickets to this it is it is so incredibly special.
It's just it's a small venue, you know, and so
you get to see everything. And just having Dirk on
Mike track talking trash to people. I think that's worth
the brides of admission. But you know, you'd mentioned Cooper
Flag coming out to this as a die hard, lifelong
MAVs fan.

Speaker 1 (59:00):
I love that so much because I'm.

Speaker 2 (59:02):
Like, I would hope that there would be a connection
between you know, mister Maverick and the newest Maverick And
that just warms my heart to see that.

Speaker 1 (59:12):
And so I love that he's going to be here
at this thing.

Speaker 2 (59:16):
So if you could help us out a little bit
with what you've seen from him, you know, looking at
him as a basketball player, how do you think his
skill set will transition to the league.

Speaker 4 (59:26):
Well, I think he's going to be amazing. I mean
incredible talent. If you think that, think about he's not
even nineteen yet. I mean that is incredibleticism. Skill level,
I mean is all already there and he's just going
to keep keep getting better. I heard he's a workhorse,
loves putting in the work, is great, great work ethics.

(59:49):
So I think the sky is the limit for him.
And you know, the the MAVs are obviously in a
position with a good team. They have a great front line,
and so I think there's plenty of veterans on the
team that can obviously help him and help him grow
and be there for him. And so I'm happy, happy

(01:00:09):
for him. And I reached out to him when he
was first drafted and I just wanted to, you know,
welcome him to the city and congratulate him. And so
we've been sort of a little bit in a loose
contact the last few months, and we we reached out
to him to see if he wanted to come out
and uh and play some tennis, but he did decline
on the tennis, but he's he's going to come out

(01:00:32):
and support so that that means the world. And like
I said, I'm I'm a phone call away from him
if he needs anything, if his any ever any questions,
I'm the first one to be there.

Speaker 2 (01:00:44):
Well, this is great because last year you brought Klay
Thompson out to Maverick fans for the very first time
at your tennis event, and now you're bringing Cooper Flag
out to matt fans at your event, So that's great.
One of the things I'm very interested in though, is
I did watch Joe Kim Noah's dad play tennis. I
remember to me, if I remember correctly, Janick Noah was
like at the tail end of that initial class of

(01:01:07):
guys that put tennis on the map in the eighties.

Speaker 1 (01:01:09):
And I feel like he was at the back end
of that.

Speaker 2 (01:01:12):
Oh but well, but let me ask you when you
know you got there's probably several plays where Joe Kim
Noah covered you on the NBA floor. Did you guys
ever talk tennis back then? Because I'm sure you, being
a tennis head, knew all about his dad.

Speaker 4 (01:01:27):
I was. I loved you, Nick Noel. And a little
fun fact, his dad's actually now a super famous musician
in France, like filling out them what I didn't know
that worse. Yeah, he's albums out and he's a famous musician.
But that's just a little fun fact. But there he
was like a athletic but super fun, always tried crazy shots,

(01:01:49):
so he's a little bit of outside the box but
great touch. So you used to love watching his dad play,
And and I've gotten to know Joe kimper obviously over
our but then after afterwards, he's good friends with Channel Parsons,
that whole Florida crew, so we hungs in retirement. He's
a he's a good dude, So reach out to him

(01:02:11):
to see if he wanted that, I'll come support. I
think he said he played a little bit. I'm quite
sure how how good is his skill levels now, but
we'll we'll find out. And basketball wise, I mean, he
was such a competitor. I mean, you guys know him.
He was. He was fierce on the defensive end. So
I never really actually stopped and said, he I love

(01:02:31):
your dad, because he was just so intense in the court.
But I'll definitely, I'll definitely tell him this weekend.

Speaker 2 (01:02:39):
All right, let's let's get your broadcasting hat back on.
When you when you look at the Mavericks and and
what their chances are in a crowded Western conference, what
all has to happen for the Mavericks this year for
this to.

Speaker 1 (01:02:51):
Be a really really special year for mass fans.

Speaker 4 (01:02:54):
Well, I think they had a great off off, So
I don't think besides health, there as much that needs say.
But obviously there are some some question marks with with health,
with with Kyrie. When is he coming back. I saw
online that he's actually shooting already, so maybe he's ahead
of schedule. That will be amazing. But honestly, if you

(01:03:15):
look at their lineup, if when Kyrie comes back, they're
loaded on every position, at least two or three guys
on every position, Uh, they can keep the pressure up
all game long. Cooper, you can kind of, you know,
fit him in everywhere. I heard ja kids say you
want to play him at some point, but I mean
he can really flat out play on every position on

(01:03:35):
the court. So, uh, it's going to be it's going
to be a great lineup once I once stay healthy,
if a d stays healthy and obviously liveliness to stay
healthy and but I think that to me, that's the
biggest question mark. But if they are healthy, I mean,
they have a lineup that not a lot of teams
want to see, I believe. So we'll see how the

(01:03:57):
how the season plays out. But I think they made
some good moves obviously sign a PJ and signing Gafford
and was a key and good offseason moves, and I
think they're situated really well for the next few years here.

Speaker 2 (01:04:12):
And finally, Dirk, before we let you go, we need
to let everybody know where they can get tickets for
this event.

Speaker 1 (01:04:17):
Ben and I are going to be there.

Speaker 2 (01:04:19):
We can't encourage people enough to go to this fun
event Saturday, September thirteenth, It's the seventh annual Dirtnoviski Foundation
Tennis Classic.

Speaker 1 (01:04:28):
Where can everybody go get tickets?

Speaker 4 (01:04:30):
The easiest is probably if you go to our Instagram
page Dirt Nowitzki Foundation and you can just click the
link and get tickets. So yeah, come on out. Like
I said, it's a fun day, fun event, looking have
some plenty of celebrities come out and enjoy it. So
we'll see you guys there.

Speaker 2 (01:04:48):
Awesome, Hey, thanks so much for the time, Derek appreciate it,
and we'll see at the event.

Speaker 4 (01:04:52):
Oh, thank you guys, thanks for helping out as.

Speaker 2 (01:04:54):
Always, always incredible to catch up with the big German.
And we will be out there on Saturday. Ben and
I cannot wait to be a part of this. You know,
we had a we posted a video the time I
got to meet Tom Cruise and posted a big video
of the anxiety that led up to that. This will
be our first interaction with Cooper Flag. Oh yeah, because

(01:05:15):
Cooper Flash, because you have an interviewed him, met or done.

Speaker 1 (01:05:17):
Anything with him.

Speaker 4 (01:05:18):
Have you.

Speaker 2 (01:05:18):
I haven't interviewed him yet, but you had him on
draft draft night or yeah, we did talk to him
on draft night.

Speaker 1 (01:05:23):
He wasn't in the room with us, he was in
New York, but we did that. We did. It was
like four of us interviewing.

Speaker 2 (01:05:28):
Okay, I mean, I'm as excited about him as I've
been excited about anything that's ever happened in DFW spat.
It's huge because even Luca wasn't the number one overall pick.

Speaker 4 (01:05:38):
No.

Speaker 2 (01:05:38):
In fact, you know, we're thinking maybe we need a
big man instead. Clearly Luca was the guy, right, but
h Cooper Flagg is can't miss. He's going to be
nineteen years old during the basketball season and he's can't miss. Yeah,
so yeah, come on out and see Cooper flag and
hang with me and Ben. All right, Thank you to
Dirk Novitski that is going to do it for us today.

(01:06:00):
I'll never forget the time that KT actually got to
interview Dirk one on one. He stood on a chair,
He looked Dirk dead in his German eyes, and he said.

Speaker 5 (01:06:09):
Thank you for participating in our Texas Iconic food bracket.
We'll see you tomorrow with more that. What could that
have been? It's just amazing stuff from Kevin there. We'll
have more Kevin tomorrow. Christina, Are you gonna stick around?

Speaker 13 (01:06:27):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:06:27):
All right, stick around and listen to Christina right here
on the egle.

Speaker 1 (01:06:31):
Here you going, well, I'm gonna get my sock back, dude,
all art
