"Is it possible to walk away from a tie and still feel like you won?"That’s the question Ben, Skin, KT, and Krystina tackle in this wild, hilarious, and surprisingly heartfelt episode of The Ben and Skin Show. It’s Cowboy Monday, and the crew is breaking down the bizarre 40-40 tie between the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers — a game that felt like it should’ve been a blowout but somehow turned into one of the most entertaining matchups of the season.Kevin “KT” Turner, our resident Packers apologist, showed up in full cheesehead mode, only to be emotionally whiplashed by a game that defied all logic. Ben Rogers shares his firsthand experience from inside the stadium — from elite parking and killer seats to a surreal encounter with a harmonizing family of screamers that might just be aliens. Yes, really.

Speaker 1 (00:00):

it be except we're supposed to be pursuing it to
hold out shaw shak you the sewer dude.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
Now what chilling at day people? Yeah, we're doing it
through your clocking on the dock. Got a habit bo
my house a dope sat is how we're starting kicking
crabit shows that enough both applied like a rabbit.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Tune in, so out, creak it up, beat the habit, I.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Won't up hang out with her friends rocking on the radio,
My hon.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
Knowing boys, gin in his hand talking on the radio.
It's time to to response again. All by baby we go, Kati,
Christine up and.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
All of them on our radio.

Speaker 4 (01:00):
Ah, yes, Ben skinned, Kat, Christina, everybody in studio today
for a Cowboy Monday. What a disappointing tie forty forty
final last night? Cowboys and Packers of course on our show,
we have a Packers kiss ass. Kevin kt Turner loves

(01:20):
the Packers, big Packers guy. He was wearing lots of
Packers gear last week going into the same playoff time.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
Yep, he had that vibe.

Speaker 4 (01:28):
Yeah, you have the big trade Michah Parsons, you have okay,
is he gonna murder Dak tonight? Like Cowboys haveing offensive
line issues, a lot injuries. It just felt like it
was gonna be forty to nothing. Yet it was forty
to forty. I can't even believe the Cowboys kept as close.
The NFL is the greatest product on earth, because it

(01:48):
truly is any given Sunday, and going into this game,
that was the only logic you could make for why
the Cowboys would have a chance, just because any given Sunday,
the worst team can beat the best team. And I'll
be damned, it almost happened.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
It was so much fing fun.

Speaker 5 (02:09):
I had so much fun watching that game, Like, you know,
they beat the Giants, but that wasn't a fun game
to me. That was all right, they got the win,
but there was a lot of that was just experiencing
a lot of frustration because you know, kind of what
you said, think you're supposed to go in there and
beat the inferior team.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
So you know, got the win. That was cool.

Speaker 5 (02:31):
This was more akin to me than the Eagles game
where you came up short, but you came out feeling
pretty good.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Right, you get a tie ties are weird.

Speaker 5 (02:41):
Speaking from the Cowboys perspective, as I just saw Kevin
look up with this Packer disappointment, you get the tie
ties are weird. But there's a way to leave that game,
in my opinion and go okay, there's a lot of
ways that this team can play better than they've played
in the first three games moving forward. Hopefully that's something

(03:01):
that will materialize because there is a lot of talent.

Speaker 4 (03:04):
He should have the worst defense on Earth. Yeah, they
can't stop anybody.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
I found that game to be the half wins of games.

Speaker 6 (03:11):
And let me just say it's pretty wild because before
the game, they have Jerry on the Football Night in
America show with Maria Taylor and Jason Garrett. But as
they're interviewing Jerry and he's repeating the same thing he's
been talking about the last two or three weeks, Mike
also runs out on the field and it was great television.
It all happened at one time.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
That's it.

Speaker 5 (03:30):
Hold on, I want to say something that's impressive that
you could hear that because Jerry was holding the mic
so far away from his body, I felt like I
was picking him up on Jason Garrett's.

Speaker 6 (03:38):
Mike, you've done this before. Get it up, eat the mic.
So it was all that's going on. I was like, Okay, Wow,
this is They've really framed it. They had a great promos.
I never really get caught up in promos, promos and
commercials for Sunday Night Full Over. They had a great
one with the with a Post Malone song on it.
Better Now and just really mate use this as as

(03:59):
a force to promote the game. And I was like,
we're still going to destroy them. As a Packers fan,
I was thinking that the whole time, and then the
game ends up in a tie. But I think it's
kind of the perfect fit because that's what the trade is.
The trade is a tie, probably will be, we don't
know yet.

Speaker 5 (04:14):
Long term, the Cowboys will win that trade because they're
going to crush with.

Speaker 4 (04:17):
Those picks if they let somebody else draft for him.
The way they've been draftings not been very good. But
they could win that trade if they if they get
a bunch of players with those picks, if they get
two good starters.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
With those picks, those first round picks.

Speaker 5 (04:29):
So Ben, I know you went to the game, but
they I thought that whole Jerry in his office contrived
thing was terrible. So basically before the game, they they
created some mini series, so Jerry wasn't willing to go
out there and say a bunch of things publicly, and
then instead he put it in a film that they

(04:52):
ran five minutes before kickoff, in which he actually spoke
his mind that he wouldn't do in public.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
It was so strange, me hold my calls, like he's
got a bunch of business he's got to do, right.

Speaker 5 (05:04):
It was like a scene from that documentary, like they
shot it like it was a part of the documentary.

Speaker 4 (05:09):
He thinks that documentary is his real life. Thinks he's
still living it. So yes, I did go to the game.
It was different for me.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
I hadn't been to.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
A game since I took my son to the Saints
game last year, right, and there was a guy with
a whistle behind me the whole time, so he's just
blowing a whistle in my ear the entire time.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
I was like, I don't even think that's allowed. But
it sucked. It was so brutal.

Speaker 4 (05:30):
But I had some badass tickets landed my lap at
the last minute, so I ended up going to the game,
going with some buddies of mine. And so we're at
the game and I have a couple of observations. I
even have some audio I'm going to play for you guys.
But one of the things that I was blown away
with nobs the cheerleaders.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
Oh yeah, looking good.

Speaker 4 (05:52):
I mean, they did some routine before the game where
they did the you know, the Kilgore ranger at high
kick thing. It was insane, like it was real. They
were impressive. I was like, damn, they really are good.
They are so athletic in limber. The quickness with which
an ankle can get from the ground to one hundred

(06:14):
and eighty degrees above their head.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
And hold it there. Oh, it's astonishing, Kevin. And they
do it in boots. I couldn't believe it.

Speaker 4 (06:22):
And by the way, that apparently there's one cheerleader who
has a substantially larger following than all the rest.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
Oh her name is Kylie Dixon.

Speaker 4 (06:30):
Okay, and she's got six hundred thousand Instagram followers. She
has one post that has two point nine million likes.
Her last post or something, I don't know, how does
she spelled Dixon?

Speaker 1 (06:43):
Yep?

Speaker 4 (06:44):
Anyways, look that up. And but the cheerleaders I gotta
give them some props.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
I was.

Speaker 4 (06:49):
I thought it was I don't know what I thought,
but aha, it move the needle. It wasn't even about
the needle. It was just I was impressed. Like I
was like, Okay, this is legit really impressive what they're
Can we.

Speaker 6 (07:00):
Can we carry over the audience the crowd thing because
I want to hear that too, and can I was
Red Panda there last night?

Speaker 1 (07:06):
I don't think so.

Speaker 4 (07:07):
I didn't see Red Panda if Red Panda was there
because they had a different halftime show that was like
about fighting cancer.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
Oh yeah, intercept Cancer night. Yeah, was the thing.

Speaker 5 (07:17):
I think Red Panda is going to be the Thanksgiving night. Okay, yeah,
Red Panda's gonna go out there with the hologram of
Dolly Parton.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
Okay, okay, good.

Speaker 6 (07:25):
I heard she's recovering well and yeah, getting back into
it and it's supposed to be one of the most
talked about sports topics in the world this week, and
I wanted.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
She's back out there. He's back, She's back on the unicycle.

Speaker 6 (07:36):
Okay, yeah, bouncing plates A couple can't do all the
whole stack yet, All.

Speaker 4 (07:40):
Right, coming up next, I'm gonna play you the audio
from the game that I grabbed. I posted this on
social media, teased it, promoted it. You can go look
at this to see what I'm talking about. But is
this obnoxious fan behavior or not?

Speaker 5 (07:50):
Ben and Skin Show ninety seven point one The Eagle. Hey,
we're gonna give away mud Vein tickets this week. They're
coming October the eleventh, south Side Ballroom. We always give
those tickets away with clue from the show and the
iHeart app. So if you don't have the iHeart app,
download it. You can stream, you can listen to podcasts,
you can win stuff. It is cool coming up here

(08:12):
in the Hollywood Shuffle about fifteen minutes. We now know
who the Super Bowl halftime act is. We will discuss.
But Ben Rodgers went to the game last night in
good suits and had a fan experience that he will
share with us now.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
Yeah, it was a lot of fun.

Speaker 4 (08:28):
I ended up buying a badass park I got the
tickets for free, so I ended up spending money on
a really nice parking credential and we parked like right
next to the Stadiumit pretty easily in and out, piece
of cake, no problems. I was immediately blown away by
how many Packers fans there were. It felt like you

(08:49):
were at a Packers game. I got it may have
been fifty to fifty, but it was like go pack
go chance and cheeseheads everywhere, and if the if the
Packers stopped the cow on a play like that was
a good play for the Packers, the crowd roared. If
the Cowboys made a good play, the crowd roared. So
it was hard to know like where you were, like

(09:10):
it didn't like whatever you think about a home field
advantage or something that they don't they don't have it.
I don't know if anyone in the NFL does, but
they definitely don't. I think I don't know the reason,
but I just and maybe it's that way in every stadium.
But it was hard to know if you were at
a Cowboy game or not, just based on the amount
of Packer fans there and their reaction to every play.
I think there's a lot of reasons. But one thing

(09:30):
that is a truism is that there have been so
many people from the United States that have moved to
North Texas from all over. I do think some of
that has had an impact. I don't think it's all
just people traveling to come here to go to the game.
There's a little bit of that, but I just think that,
you know, the way our community is now, especially an

(09:50):
iconic team like the Packers.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
Did you ever have a cheese thing that you put
on your head? She said, yeah, of course, that's so weird.

Speaker 5 (09:57):
Yeah, yeah, you bring up here one day, and I
was a Steve Martin fan, but I didn't have an
arrow through my head.

Speaker 6 (10:02):
You know. I bought a cheese brawl one time, wore it.
She's bra Yeah, keep my boobs down. Yeah, okay, that's
a great joke.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
Take the rest of that, thank you. She's joke.

Speaker 4 (10:16):
So, you know, I it was a much better experience
than the last time when I went to the game.
I went to a Saints game, and the guy with
a whistle behind me the whole time made it unbearable.
And so we sit down in our seats, We're like, damn,
these are good seats. Pretty early in the game, I
noticed that there's some consistent yelling behind me, and it
kind of sounds like this, like it's just like incredibly obnoxious,

(10:42):
like like that noise that from Dumb and Dumber you
want to hear the most of it sounds like that, yeah,
but then you hear like, oh, there's a harmony with it.
There's multiple people doing it, and so I'm like, where
where is that coming from? And my buddy goes, man,
it's a lady behind us in the Witton jersey. And
I lick up and there's like a sixty five year
old lay We're in a Whitten jersey, and I'm like,

(11:03):
she is all every single play, every play to help
the offense or help the defense. She stands up with
her hands or with a cup or something and goes,
and then her son goes, and then the dad goes,
and like every play and I don't think this is

(11:24):
going to do it justice. I posted a video of this,
but here's here's I recorded some audio for you guys.

Speaker 3 (11:57):
Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (12:01):
Wait and then Rory comes out and says, shut that up.
Was that last guy's doing? He kind of weird. There's
wild stuff.

Speaker 4 (12:11):
I've never experienced that, and it made me think that
they might be aliens, because who else celebrates like that.
It's like somebody came to Earth and they're at a
sporting event. They need to make they need to just
you know, emanate noise or whatever. And make a loud noise,
but who to who does that? And like multiples just

(12:32):
yelling and it's every single play, you know, who does that?

Speaker 1 (12:37):
Bub Rub and Little Sis?

Speaker 4 (12:38):
It made me think of that maybe the whists go
I it made me think of Bob Rub and Little Siss.
It's just like that sounds like a broken muffler. And
it was the entire game, on every play and three
of them in harmony.

Speaker 5 (12:50):
Yeah, that's aid. I don't know that. That's a good experience.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
That's like a singing family. You know, that's pretty good.

Speaker 4 (12:57):
We able to block it out some for some the game,
you were able to other parts.

Speaker 6 (13:01):
You know.

Speaker 4 (13:02):
I had to put my finger in my ear just
because it was like giving me a headache. It was piercing,
and I don't understand who it's impact, like what is
the benefit of doing it? And then me and my
friends started doing it. So when they go, you just go.
Did you ever turn and face them and do it? No,
But I was filming them and so they I don't

(13:22):
know if they've noticed my phone. It would have been
great to stand right in front of him and just opposite,
right in their face.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
If people want to watch this, it's on your time.

Speaker 5 (13:33):
The best part about it is the guys that are
sitting up in front of him. Like occasionally that one
guy will like real tepidly clap. I mean, I don't
know how anyone sits there in front of them.

Speaker 4 (13:45):
Anyways. That last guy man with that, I think that
was the husband. I think he was doing some other things.
He wasn't doing the high pitch like them. Anyways. That's
the type of game breakdown you're gonna get on this show,

(14:05):
Number one Cowboys Show Cowboys coming up at four o'clock,
we'll do a deep dive into the game Jerry Jones
after the game, some of his comments. We'll get to that,
but coming up next. In the Hollywood Shuffle, last night,
it was announced who would be performing at the Super
Bowl halftime show. We'll discuss next right here on the
