Speaker 1 (00:00):
Cowboy surprise. Skin Way did report in the break that
it looks like Janya Thomas and Donovan Wilson are trending

(00:22):
forward positive or positively. So that's good. It's also super vague.
Those guys got a good caf rub and they're feeling good. Yeah,
they're also six days from now the number thirty second
rank defense.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Even with those guys. Yeah, but yeah, they didn't want
to be thirty third in a league of thirty two, right.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
I do wonder how many college offenses would carve up
the Cowboys defense.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
None.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
I do think it's a lot.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
No. None. Again, they went and hired a defensive coordinator
who is likes to do a scheme that doesn't fit
the players that they've drafted and built their defense around.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
You're shaking your head over that. I know you don't
believe that the un t mean Green aren't seven and
one big game against Navy on Saturday.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
North Texas would gain forty yards on the Cowboys. I
know you're not doing this bit. I know you're not
doing this bit.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Closely if you've been watching this defense, my friend. Okay, man, okay,
trade winds are blowing just like the real winds are
blowing because the trade deadline's next Tuesday. Big win over
the Cardinals at home, Jerry a little drunk, trade deadline
the next day. This is dangerous, boys, This is red
button time for me.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
I think some wild stuff could happen. I think they
should be sellers. If anything, I think they should be sellers.
I think they should just try to acquire as many
draft picks as they can and try to rebuild the
defense through the draft as quickly as they possibly can.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
From ESPN's Jeremy Fowler this morning, defensive end Trey Hendrickson
of the Bengals, the Cowboys and forty nine ers are
among the interested teams. There's a pass rusher there.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Are like, it doesn't matter how many injuries we have.
The NFC is so weak sauce we can still do
it even with all our injuries. I just don't. I mean, look,
if the Cowboys were one player away, and I did
say there were one player away yesterday, if they've kept Micah,
I think they would be like the twentieth ranked defense,
and I think they would be a legit contender because

(02:20):
he wrecks things. Is if they could go get that
guy that can really wreck games and he's reasonably paid
for the next couple of years, and you don't have
to give up too much. Maybe, but I don't think
they're one player away unless they're going to get the
defensive MVP, and it's got to be a player that
they're ready to commit to long term financially to make sense.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
Well, let me tell, let me ask if this what
your whistle guys, get your whistles out. Yep. From Dan
Graziano at esp in Teith Tucker, I dug into the
contract of Miles Garrett this week, and I don't think
it's out of the question that the Browns could trade
Miles Garrett hypothetic let's say the Cowboys. He also mentions

(03:02):
the Rams because they have two first round picks they
gave up or they offered both of their twenty twenty
six first round picks to Cleveland. Cleveland would be looking
at the possibility of having four first round picks in
the twenty twenty six draft because they already have two
this year. They could completely control Round one. They could
get whatever quarterback they wanted, and the acquiring team would

(03:23):
have to pay Garrett a reasonable thirty one and a
half million and fully guaranteed money next year, done, and
thirty and a half million in twenty twenty seven. I'd
do that now. I think if the Cowboys said, here's
our two first round picks in twenty twenty six for
Miles Garrett, the Browns would say, and what else? Yeah,
how about a little bit more.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
I'll give you my third next year of the year after,
they're gonna ask for more than what the Cowboys got
for Micah. Oh yeah, let's again just points out that. Okay,
well two yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
So if they I mean, if the Cowboys wanted to
stagger it, you know, we'll give you the twenty six
and the twenty seven first whatever, you'd still have your
first round pick in each year. I mean, to me,
it would make a lot of sense. I just think
they would still be asking for me.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
They're gonna want more. They're gonna want to but a
couple of seconds, maybe.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Miles Garrett, if they're gonna be a bit of a
like in the next five days, he's like, I am
tired of this. BS.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Bring him home at that number?

Speaker 1 (04:15):
What is he?

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Twenty eight, twenty nine? Oh like that he and Henderson
at that number in that age, and you don't have
to you know, obviously the Browns are going to have
to do all the accelerated money on the bonuses and
all that, and you're just gonna pay him thirty a
year the next two years. I would give up two
first round picks and maybe a second and the third
if I could figure all that out, because I do

(04:36):
think that changes everything for you. For two years, well
you know, but then you, yeah, you figure out if
you want to keep it no years beyond.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Yeah, and then this year in two he signed uh uh,
well yeah, I mean yeah, oh, he's got four or
five more years. He signed a whole deal. They're talking
about the guaranteed guarantee. It is three years, okay, well
two years after this year.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
Yeah, I don't want to pay him his next contract,
but absolutely if you have control of him for that long.
I don't know that he would make all the difference
this year, but it would be exactly what I was
just talking about. That's the only other guy I think
I would put on that level with Micah that can
wreck again. I'm sure there's a handful of others. But
if he costs, if he's almost twenty million dollars less

(05:18):
per year than.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
Micah, if the Cowboys has the second most cap space
of any team in the league, so they've gat room
to operate.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
Dude, bring it on. I would do that. I don't
know if the Browns would, but I would do that.
Good job, Kevin, all Right, fantastic coming up in just
three minutes. We got the today game right here on
ninety seven point one. The Eagle
