“What could a player possibly do that’s ‘impossible to ever go public with’—and still walk away with $50 million?”In this jaw-dropping episode of The Ben and Skin Show, hosts Ben Rogers, Jeff “Skin” Wade, Kevin “KT” Turner, and Krystina Ray unravel one of the most bizarre and secretive stories to hit the NFL in years. At the center of the chaos? Speaker 1 (00:01):
How cool around the sports k Tod quints as all
the sports yes.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Come to at five, we will tell you about the
shoddy start to camp. Shoddy because there were some injuries yesterday.
But I want to talk about this story. It's kind
of the biggest story in football right now outside of
what we'll talk about it in the weekday update in
the shooting yesterday. But Christian Wilkins is a player who
was drafted in the twenty nineteen draft. He was the
number thirteen pick, so first round pick with the Raiders.

(00:35):
The defensive tackle, very good player. In fact, last March
about this March last March, so March twenty twenty four,
they gave him a four year deal worth one hundred
and ten million dollars. Wow, about eighty four of that
was a rounded up eighty five of that guaranteed. So
he's got a lot of money in his pocket for
signing that deal. Right he's playing, has a couple of

(00:56):
sacks in the week five, he gets hurt, hurts his foot.
With that footage injury, he's out for the year. So
they are getting ready for camp, and then this is
about just about five or six days ago, they released
him out of nowhere, and they moved thirty five million
of that guaranteed money on his contract due to how
he approached the rehab process.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
Oh so they're trying to claim thirty five million of
the guaranteed money back.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
And then he files aggrievance with the players Association and
they're having their own issues. Then have nose running the
Players Association right now? What you say was twenty nineteen?
He is, Yeah, he is a twenty nine year old player.
Whi's his name, Christian Wilkins, and he is. Uh. He's
interesting for a lot of reasons because they have that.

(01:43):
But then all of a sudden, reports start going, Okay,
well it's not that. And the reportership from schefter was
that he kissed a fellow teammate on the head. Huh.
Though the event was said to be playful, the unnamed
teammate took offense to those actions and followed a complaint.
So now Christian Wilkins is getting instigated by the Raiders
HR department and that's all leaking out four days after

(02:04):
they actually cut him, claiming it was an injury.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
What about an NFL HR department?

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Yeah, well, are you gonna do there?

Speaker 1 (02:12):
I mean okay, and is does he have a track record?
Is he the guy that in dog piles will reach
in and like stick a finger where it shouldn't go,
that type of guy.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
I didn't remember him as that, but I did because
he is the guy who goose to Curtis Samuel one
time in a game.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Yeah, I saw that footage he reached down and grabbed
his jump.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
So he was a Dolphin player. He was drected by
the Dolphins, and then he signed with the Raiders. So
now he's getting fifty million dollars of the five games
he played for breaking his foot, So he's coming out okay.
But things have heated up and we got a bit
of a source off and things like that. Florio's like,
that's not what I'm hearing, schefter, oh oh, and then
Josein and Anderson saying stuff, and then you got local people.

(02:52):
And this is the most damning thing of all this
because it's made me play the what could he have done? Why?
Like how bad could it be? Because there's a guy
for there's a website called chat sports.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
I don't know, Chad sports. No chat well, I like
chad sports, Chad sports. Chad sports. Find out what Chad's thinking,
that's the yad Sports.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Of my favorite parts of Heavy Gilmore too is Dan
Patrick's sports show.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
Is the sports whole, the sports whole.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Mitchell Rinz is a Raiders report host on chat sports,
and he was the first one to report about the
foot thing and him refusing to have a second surgery
on his foot. Then on his show he said that quote,

(03:38):
this is an impossible thing to ever go public with,
is what a source told him. So whatever a source
told him that whatever Christian Wilkins did is impossible is
an impossible thing to ever go public with.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
I would doubt the veracity of that claim, because think
of the things have gone public.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
I'm still waiting on the Epstein files. Bro Right, so
well those aren't public. I'm still waiting on them. Okay,
Who's I could show you a couple of things. What
was the guy that that had that threw the lady
on a pile of machine guns? Greg Hardy?

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Yeah, okay, so Richardson, if I think he maybe nothing
such a gentleman, he did it with such elegance and grace,
such thoughtfulness. He set her down on those machine guns.
She wanted to sit on him. If you would, if
you would let that in your locker room in the
interest of being better defensively, You would think that whatever

(04:34):
this is is nothing. You were like, all right, he
might kiss a player in the head. He's so good,
like his his Madden rating. If he was on the Cowboys,
he'd be their fourth or fifth best player. That's that,
just the bull that say everyone about those ratings. But
he would be their third best player on defense. And
let's just two words that are proper nouns. Charles Hayley,

(04:57):
are you guys?

Speaker 2 (04:58):
And I'm I'm a little bit of part of this
mount remember, may let you know the story. We too
desensitized to this, we were we know the Charles Haley stuff.
So nothing's ever gonna shock us. So I kind of
like what he did. Better be like real bad.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
The most shocking of bodily functions has happened around other players,
the most think of the think of all the bodily functions,
and the most shocking one went on a coach's car.
So what are we doing here that we can't go
public with? And didn't wasn't One aimed at a framed
picture of a coach's wife. Yes, during a practice beautiful,

(05:32):
So you know if film session, I should Yeah, if
you can get if you could get this guy, that's
nothing by comparison. By the way, did you hear Charles
Haley introducing Charlotte Jones Anderson or was it Charlotte Jones
the other day? No, he was like he was introducing
her at camp and the gam a microphone in front
of all of camp, and he goes and by the way, let.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
Me just say she is fine. She loves it.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
Yeah, And dude, the Cowboys don't have an HR department.
My god, there's no way.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
She is pretty high.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
She's my daughter of it. Of course she isn't.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
Oh wait, so is the guy heard or what he's
got a Jones fracture? Well that's what the Raiders were saying.
And now the Raiders are caught up in some BSM.
Carol's having to go answer questions. It's like, well, you
guys just cut him for that reason, But what's the
other reason? But campus started. Was he out there practicing? No,
he was rehabbing, but he was dancing in the gym rehabbing,
got dancing.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
All right, there you have it. There's around the sports
coming up next. We crank up the wayback machine. All right,
Dallas sure was weird in the seventies, but we'll tell
you exactly why next
