on Friday? Had to go?
Speaker 2 (02:14):
Well?
Speaker 4 (02:14):
Yeah, it was at Ferris Wheeler's barbecue. Also, I didn't
get to eat the barbecue. I did have some waffle
fries that were incredible, though I can't say that, but
it was great. We had Uh, usually the just the
regulars that show up to go see us. When we
were in Dallas, you know you had Carrie, Raphael and Kendall.
I love Kendall. He brought a friend as well. Anyways,
(02:35):
but it was great. It was a really good show.
And then the other bands brit Stopping like heure, they
were awesome. So britt Stop actually does more than just Oasis.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
Yeah, they did a Radiohead and Mike freaked out because
we thought it was Oasis, but no, they do. They
do it all. So they they started it all off
and then we went up there and it was really
hot but really fun and then looked closed it out.
Speaker 5 (03:05):
Yeah still hot outside. Yeah, last week it was ninety
four colfront coming, I think. Yeah, little rain chances coming
is what my models are showing.
Speaker 3 (03:12):

Also, mosquitoes are still out and about.

Skeeters and snakes yeah right now making they're preparing for October.

A lot of snakes are attacking dogs.
Speaker 5 (03:23):
We from shoddy, your neighbor or some guy up and
you your neck of the woods, right, yeah. Uh yeah,
a lot of copper heads out yep, which is dangerous
because are all the hospitals stocked with copperhead.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
Venom and kt You went to a show that you
were very much looking forward to? Was that on Saturday
Friday night? Okay? That was Friday. That's why you abandoned
Christina and didn't attend her show with the rest of us.
It was a conflict, Uh, you know, a couple of
things to bounce. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (03:47):
I went saw my good friends the Polyphonic Spree.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
Yeah, and and you were highly critical of the show.
What was it that you didn't like?
Speaker 5 (03:53):
You know, I just think a set list could be flow.
Speaker 3 (03:55):
You loved it? It was great, right, I did love it.
Speaker 5 (03:57):
One of my good friends, uh, Taylor, who was in
the band in his early two thousands, Taylor Young from
the Oas you know, okay, yeah, yeah, been on the
show for he They asked him to come back and
play because they were doing an album from like twenty
one years ago, so he was back in the band.
It was cool kind of seeing him with the band
like twenty years ago. An a listener came and said, Hi.
Speaker 4 (04:17):
I used to love the O's. Was he the one
that played the banjo or.
Speaker 5 (04:20):
I think they kind of both did them both.
Speaker 4 (04:23):
Yeah, yeah, you're right.
Speaker 5 (04:24):
But in a long time, Taylor's got his own band,
the Taylor Young Band, and he's just a sweet guy,
very nice. Well, I know, it was a great weekend.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
We did get a chance to touch on those two things,
which which we should have. We had a lot going
on yesterday, obviously a lot of cowboys. I watched a
lot of television skin and I hosted Dirk's charity event
and had a blast doing that. But I, for whatever reason,
I don't know why, I just quit playing video games.
I can't really exactly figure out why I stopped playing
video games. Dude called Turkey. I was playing so much
and then I just stopped playing. And I'm not for
(04:52):
whatever reason, I've not, I've not, I don't even I
don't even know how to explain it. But I was
spending a lot more time with my wife, dude those points.
But she told me the other night, she was like,
she goes, why don't you play video games anymore? And
I was like, I really don't know. And I was like,
why are you asking me that While we're trying to
decide what we're gonna watch, she goes because we watch
(05:13):
different things. Like, oh, so you're saying you'd rather I
went back and playing video games, and she was.
Speaker 5 (05:18):
Like sometimes, Yeah, that's a tough thing right there. If
you want to watch something different, I figure you guys
can find a way. I mean, you've watched The Bachelort
with her before I have.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
And as much as I'd like to make fun of it,
every time I watch something she's watching, I end up
enjoying it real quick.
Speaker 5 (05:33):
It is funny how a woman will the power of
a woman is. But they can open up doors to
new things that you didn't even know existed. Yeah, damn it,
that's all going to be. It's like stuff I never
thought I would like. I love Harry Styles.
Speaker 3 (05:50):
Yeah, and you wouldn't have known, would have been closed
off to it. So I will tell you this. I
I feel like you, Kevin, give me the best television
watching advice of anyone I've ever known. You might be
undefeated with me in terms of referrals that you've given
to me, like Skin's really good too, and Christina's good too.
I would probably lend my tastes are probably more like Christina's,
(06:12):
but I might not watch some of the rock documentaries
that you like to watch.
Speaker 4 (06:16):
Me what, No, right, No, I watch reality shows that
you probably Okay, Okay, well but Skin, well, I think
you guys, you guys all like it might get loud, right.
Speaker 3 (06:26):
I guess I've heard you guys talk, and Skin will
watch a ton of stuff that I have no interest in.
There's no thought putting on his TV selection whatsoever. But
I think I have more mainstream interest than what he has.
But the shows we're watching right now, we're watching Task.
(06:47):
We love that.
Speaker 5 (06:48):
I'm watching episode two tonight and I'm pumped. Okay, and Christina,
have you started that yet?
Speaker 2 (06:52):
No?
Speaker 4 (06:52):

Speaker 5 (06:55):
Mark Ruffalo is an FBI agent, the guy from Ozark,
the brother It's really episode one awesome, said EISD two
was good.
Speaker 3 (07:02):

Did you guys watch that?
Speaker 4 (07:07):

Speaker 3 (07:08):
Yeah, I've got a little ways to go, okay, but yeah,
and those things that have been really good, and so
we've just been looking for new things. We've actually been
searching for things to watch. And so this guy, Jeff
Hiller won this award the other night, and my wife
goes last night. She goes, who was your first girlfriend?
I was like what, He goes, who is your first girlfriend?
(07:32):
And I was like, Stacy Cockrel, Like, that's third grade

Speaker 4 (07:38):
Do I remember first and last name?
Speaker 2 (07:40):
Well?
Speaker 3 (07:40):
There, she's a dear friend of mine. She's married to
one of my best friends. Okay, and they actually had
a real relationship and a marriage that's gone on, like
they dated all Yeah, they dated all throughout high school,
have kids and have been married the whole time. But
she asked me who my first girlfriend was, as if
it was like a legitimate ex in my life. Yeah,
And I'm like Stacy, and uh, I can't wait to
talk to Woody about that, and uh, but she goes, yeah,
(08:04):
Stacy was recommending the show from the guy. It's called
Somebody Somewhere okay, And I was like, oh, okay, And
so we watched that last night and it was good
but not great. It's kind of emotionally draining, and I'm like,
I need a show. It was good, it's fine. Have
you all seen that? No? But you know, maybe with
all these Emmys happening, maybe it'll encourage me to go
(08:26):
watch things I haven't seen yet. But yeah, we're we're
I need you to recommend some shows to me. All right,
I can do that for you.

The Low Down, And I want to say, I forgot
who's in it, but if.

It's FX, that's probably just fun. September Watch, No, I
think it's gonna be kind of dark. Actually, September twenty
sixth The Savant on Apple Jessica Chastain and I think
she's like looking into cyber terror.

the country of the channel, right right? Yeah? I would
have done it for America. The Chair Company October twelfth
on HBO, Tim Robinson, Stop the show That's where it
all happened.
Speaker 3 (09:15):

if if you have any shows that you think we
should be watching, text the guys at the Fan two one,
seven three let them know what those shows are coming
up next. Christina, where are you gonna take us in
the cookie jar?
