Speaker 1 (00:00):
Come on, surprise.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Yeah, I was ugly yesterday. There was a point in
the third quarter where the uh where bo Nicks threw
it right down the middle into Courtland Sutton's chest and
he just dropped it and didn't had to settle for
a field goal. And that made it thirty to seventeen.
And that was like, okay, well, if you're tell me

(00:39):
it's a two score game, did I am?

Speaker 1 (00:42):
No, Yes, there's a chance.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
Can I throw you on the side out right quick, please?
Because I don't know the name of any of our
defensive backs currently, No one does. But when that ball
bounced off of his chest, whoever was covering him that
had gotten burned jumped up and did the nope and
did the big giant cross.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Like shut that down.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
Not on my watch, Bownicks, who checks down more than
any other quarterback in the league. Like, not against the
cow So it's thirty seventeen, So the Cowboys get it,
and uh, we're gonna try the old Jaden Blue drive
a decent little run there and then he fumbles, okay,

(01:19):
which he fumbled five times last year at Texas. He's
kind of known as a fumboard. But the Brock lobster
falls on it, so we're good. We still got the ball.
Everything's fine. It's third and five. Dak drops back to pass.
Turpin's kind of open and Dak just didn't get all
of it, didn't get enough mustard on it. Okay, and thunderthrown.

(01:40):
It does hit Turpin in the hands, but he doesn't
catch it. Absolutely should have been caught. Absolutely should have
been a better throw.

Speaker 4 (01:47):
A little bit of a novelty guy.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
So it's fourth and five and you're sitting around on
your own thirty, but you're down by thirteen, and there's
about three two or three minutes left in the third quarter,
and they decided to punt, and that's when it really
hit me, like, we're not gonna stop them again. They
just gave you a break by not catching the pole.

(02:09):
Stopping them is now stopped, holding them to three. It's
just not gonna happen. And it just hit me like,
we can't we can't shot. He can't coach this way anymore.
And I think he's gonna know this moving. I do
think you will learn from this. But we were like
in our own thirty.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
You know what I like about that? If you do
give it up on fourth and one from your own thirty.
It's unlikely they'll have two splash plays on you that
drive because there's only thirty yards to go.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
It's fourth and five. This is not something easy decision.
It's fourth and five. But you just have to play
that way now, and I think I think there's a
good chance you would have got it.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Dude.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
George Pickens and Ceedee Lamb were great yesterday. There was
really no solution for them. They did seven catches, none
them went off for over one hundred yards or anything,
but especially with that point, Sartan was out of the game.
Denver's best corner, maybe the best corner in football. I
think it's an easy fourth and five. And that's also
where I want to see Dak go hell no. And

(03:02):
that's what Aaron Rodgers used to do, and I know
it makes everyone's what Tom Brady used to do. And
I'm not saying Dak is that.

Speaker 4 (03:07):
On their own thirty in the third quarter.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
There's two minutes left and it's like, you gotta have
to cut this to a one or two score game.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
I get the frustration, because I couldn't be more frustrated.
They don't have a defense, but you have to pretend,
and you have to hope that at some point you'll
get a stop or maybe they'll drop three passes and
have to punt. I don't think you can just give
them the bullet your own thirty in the third quarter.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
I think if the only way I would consider it
if it's fourth and one or fourth and one and
a half, and then even that. But I would say this,
there's no point in not sending everybody on defense, you know,
because the logic of what KT is laying out is
based on the fact, well, we're not stopping anybody, which
is accurate, so you can sell out. Because you don't

(03:56):
sell out, you go, well, we don't have anybody who
can cover, so we can't sell out. Well, you're not
getting pressure either, so the guys that can't cover are
having to not cover longer. So, you know, make it
be more aggressive. If you're gonna take your gamble, I
think you take your gamble on defense and not on offense.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
Ben, does it change the equation if I tell you
they were on their own forty four?

Speaker 3 (04:18):
That does has looked it up real quick.

Speaker 4 (04:19):
It's a little better, Yes, it's a little better, but still,
I mean they had it. They went for a third
and five and couldn't execute that either. You just broke
down the third and five where they blew it right,
So yeah, but they were open. I mean, but you
you threw the ball to your little tiny novelty guy
whose speedcher Yeah that you know.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
That's This is where I want to see Dak do
a little because he's he's been he's been playing it
pretty cool. He's like, it is what it is, we
know it is. I'm gonna be and shot. He's that
way too, Like sometimes it happens you get beat in
this league because they know, like they absolutely know. Ceedee
Lamb was not hiding it. Ceedee Lamb was pissed. Yeah,
the entire like anytime the camera went to him, he
was sulking. He was mad. Like Miles Garrett in Cleveland

(04:59):
was on the end of the bench by himself yesterday
after a five sack day and he's like, we can't
do anything.

Speaker 3 (05:04):
What does it cost to it with him?

Speaker 2 (05:06):
A lot? But this is where I think, like I
would love to see Dak go No, No, We're going
for it and I'm in charge.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
Now.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
You have to develop into that anyways, are you coming
about like, yeah, I'm the captain.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
Now, oh yeah, does he have to say in that
Actually yes, if he did that, didn't play color, Now, that.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
Would be terrible. But I think that's okay to do.
And I think he probably didn't want to, you know,
he didn't want to neuter Shoddy and all that stuff.
And we still want to have good vibes. But dude,
the good vibes were ruined when Jerry was fighting with
your best defensive player camp.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
Jerry ruined the season.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
He did.

Speaker 3 (05:43):
He ruined and buffet. But the Joneses were very happy
for Sean Payton. God, they love you so much. What
a great storyline that is.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
He was running up the score too, Like, dude, just
run the ball.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
They respected it because they love Sean Payton. He always
runs up wine on their tab first thing he did.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
It was a great win for Denver and that owner
ship group and Sean Payton. I was like, why are
you complimenting them?

Speaker 1 (06:03):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (06:04):
Or curse? It's the Jerry curse. It's a real thing,
all right. Coming up next, just three minutes away, Chili's
is bringing back this uh beloved menu atam. What is it?
We'll discuss next
