“Would you trust a drink that just arrived… or a mysterious dollop of mayonnaise?”In this wildly entertaining segment of The Ben and Skin Show, hosts Ben Rogers, Jeff “Skin” Wade, Kevin “KT” Turner, and Krystina Ray dive into the strange, hilarious, and slightly unsettling world of celebrity encounters, TV shakeups, and dry comedic genius. The episode kicks off with a deep dive into the NBA’s rumored new broadcast strategy—“NBA Coast to Coast”—which could push West Coast games to a 10 PM Central start time on NBC, bumping local news and late-night staples like Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers. The crew debates the ripple effects on media, viewer habits, and whether NBC5 is quietly panicking. Then, things take a turn for the absurd as KT shares a story involving Joe Jonas, Amy Poehler, and the enigmatic comedian Nathan Fielder. When Jonas tries to send Fielder a drink as a fan gesture, Fielder responds with… a single dollop of mayonnaise. Delivered by a waiter. With a silent nod. It’s the kind of prank only Nathan could pull off—and the kind of story that leaves the whole crew in stitches.

Speaker 1 (00:02):
Moves.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
God, every come stay on top in the high boots.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
Shovel shut before I tell you about a prank that
you can insert into your arsenal, something that really made
me laugh.

Speaker 4 (00:19):
I do want to talk about this for a second.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
There's a lot of things going on in the media
world in general with TV deals that's kind of crazy.
But I saw that the NBA is doing something and
this is not official yet, but it's almost there where
they're going to have on Tuesday nights something called on
NBC NBA Coast to Coast, so early game and then
a late game, but they moved back to the start

(00:43):
time of the late game even further than the late
games normally start.

Speaker 4 (00:48):
Are you serious?

Speaker 3 (00:48):
So normally when the MAVs would play let's say the Lakers,
let's just have a little fun. The MAVs are playing
the Lakers in LA, that game is probably gonna happen
about nine thirty with commercials with the pregame lead up.

Speaker 4 (01:00):
Well.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
The other day Silver announced the Commissioner Adam Silver announced
that on NBA Coast to Coast on Tuesdays in the
regular season, the second leg of the NBA doubleheader will
beget at ten pm Central instead of nine to thirty
pm Central. So I started to think about that from
a basketball standpoint. Great, but also think about this, there's

(01:23):
one night that Jimmy Fallon and Seth Myers wouldn't be
doing their show on Tuesday and the local news would
get kicked out? Was NBC five, I would imagine, can't
be happy about this?

Speaker 4 (01:36):
Right?

Speaker 5 (01:37):
No, there's no way that NBC five is happy that
they're being preempted by an NBA game that's not their
local team.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
Blazers and Kings are gonna PLAYBA Coast because instead of
the local news.

Speaker 6 (01:48):
Yeah, and that news wild to me, that's where they crank, man.
I mean, obviously they sell the prime shows for more,
but they own all the inventory in that in that news.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
I mean, you doude no matter if the game start
at nine thirty if it started at ten Central time. Again,
starting a game at eleven o'clock Eastern time sounds crazy?

Speaker 4 (02:08):
Is this sweight?

Speaker 5 (02:08):
I want to make sure I understand this, because you know,
it sounds like you've done more reading up on this
than I have, because I hadn't considered it. So this
would be a replacement for TNT.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
This is the Tuesday night because I mean, it's all
scattered right now because it ESPN still has Wednesdays in.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
Amazon and Thursdays, I think Thursday, Friday.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
I don't know. I saw a big list the other
day that had them all like here's where you could
see every game because Sunday's NBC. But Tuesday night, NBC's
breaking out coast to coast. Tuesday night, I could see
them putting it on Peacock. And I know a bunch
of games are on Peacock, but I'm very surprised they're
putting this on their on their network, on it Tuesday.
And that's the thing that's confusing, because every bit of
reporting I've tried to find on this, they just keep

(02:49):
saying NBC and not saying Peacock.

Speaker 4 (02:52):
And I'm in my head going, it has to be Peacock.

Speaker 5 (02:54):
There's no way they're going to Well, maybe there is
a waye it will preempting Jimmy Fallon and the local
news is to show a West Coast basket.

Speaker 4 (03:01):
On during Clippers.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
It sounds nuts, but it's happening. But I was thinking
about the money to save Late Night being to save money.
Although a lot of those like that host budget a
one of those late night shows now don't do five
shows a week.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
They don't do a Friday show. Wow, is that right?

Speaker 3 (03:17):
Yeah, some some weeks they will, but they just recorded
on Monday either way, and they have it set aside.

Speaker 4 (03:22):
Kimball does eight shows a year. He just eight a year.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
It has made a lot of money doing it, Okay,
So that was just that I'm interested in that.

Speaker 4 (03:30):
I'll follow up because I want to know what they helps. Man.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
You guys know, I am pretty obsessed with Nathan Fielder
from the old show Nathan for You.

Speaker 4 (03:39):
He's a comedian.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
He was on the show of the rehearsal that I've
talked about a lot, but I understand a lot of
people don't know.

Speaker 4 (03:44):
His bid is dry humor. This is very strange.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
So Joe Jonas, one of the Jonas Brothers, is doing podcasts.

Speaker 4 (03:51):
He's on with Amy Poehler.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
He's talking about how he freaked out when he saw
Nathan Fielder at a restaurant he was at and how
Nathan Older played. This is now something I want to
hold to take with us into the future because this
is great, okay.

Speaker 4 (04:06):
And I will play for you now.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
On the Eagle, I restarted watching all of Nathan for
you because I watched Hit the rehearsals.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
I think is so brilliant and messed up and insane.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
Yeah. I was at a restaurant recently. When I see
somebody that I really like, I think I love their work.
I don't want to say hi, i'man I'll like, may
can I send their drink? Or maybe just whatever they're
eating and whatever? Can I send something?

Speaker 3 (04:27):
Stop that? Good play right there? You see someone'll send them.
We'll send him a drink. That time we saw Joe Montagna,
the actor, at that bar in California, we should have
sent him a drink. You're send him a send him
an appetizer.

Speaker 4 (04:40):
Isn't it, Christina? Would you trust a drink that just
arrived the waiters hand?

Speaker 3 (04:46):
Again?

Speaker 6 (04:46):
But you know, that Joe Montana thing was amazing, just
because he wanted to be recognized, but just enough to
say I see you, you know who I am, and
thank you, but now please go away.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
But also he is with four old ladies everyone perfectly. Yeah,
but that's a good move. You see, someone send him
an appetize or send him a drink. Okay, good, okay,
So let's see how Nathan responds.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
And I saw him, was like, oh my God, like
I love him, I send him.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
I sent him a drink, him and his friend, And
about thirty minutes later, the waiter brought over a dullop
of Manna's and handed it to me.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
I'm like, this is from Nathan, and he goes.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
He looks over at him and Nathan Nathan's looking at him,
and Nathan goes, I guess the motion of enjoy and.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
He goes just and my friends are laughing so hard.
I'm like, guys, he wants don't laugh. He wants it
so bad. And he was really kind of up and
he walked over.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
And he's like, did you get my gift?

Speaker 3 (05:41):
So if you see someone you know, an old friend
or maybe someone famous, send him a dollop of mayonnaise.

Speaker 4 (05:47):
Is not used enough. I don't even know what it means.

Speaker 6 (05:50):
And the dullop of mayonnaise all right, coming up in
just over three minutes, A list is on your lips
that segment the most powerful male names in the United States,
and a rattlesnake killed a guy. All that is coming
your way next
