Speaker 1 (00:00):
Time for this beef stew?

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Are you kidding me?

Speaker 1 (00:04):
Seen freaking million?

Speaker 2 (00:05):
I'm m'na ask you a ton of down for a
second because I said I was getting angry.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
But now you're getting a little heated.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Beef risk, get off it, roast beef. Now I go
home and still watch more.

Speaker 4 (00:15):
You know after three hours?

Speaker 1 (00:16):
Yes I do. No, you don't tell me what I
do and what I don't. Oh, don't tell me. I
watch the damn game mongooling and a beef. Why are
you arguing with me all about this?

Speaker 3 (00:24):
God?

Speaker 1 (00:25):
You make it freaking parable? Top stuff? Do you see
where I'm going with this? Beef's the beef, It's what's
for me.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
The Ringer put out a thing top forty beefs of
the twenty first century.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
Been having fun running through that. Been some good ones,
but some balances. I do disagree with the rankings on
some of these.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
But I looked ahead and it does get a little
spicy as we move on today, we're gonna pick it
up at twenty five. The PlayStation versus the Xbox is
a beefy. The PlayStation two dropped in two thousand, The
Xbox came out swinging in two thousand. And one, and
there's a lot of Microsoft for Sony feuding over the years,
so I it's a big thing.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
That's like the Marvel DC people.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
It's the Nickelodeon, Disney Kid Coke Dr Pepper, It's Coke Doctor.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
Yeah, you're PEPs. You getting the mix there too, though.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
And back in the day when me and Skin we're
growing up, Atari was one of the first main gaming
systems I had in television. Our house was an in television. Later,
you know, we had friends who had Colleco Vision. That's
what I had. Rarely did you have anybody who was
wealthy enough or rich enough or whatever or dumb enough
to have multiple rights gaming. You either were one or
the other, right, So you were an Atari, an Intelevision

(01:33):
or Khaleko Vision household. And I feel like it's that
way with Xbox and PS five, right, like you don't
rarely will somebody have both, so you're either all about
one or the other.

Speaker 4 (01:43):
I was playstationed for a long time, but even growing up,
all my guy friends were Xbox guys, and then so
Roy is an Xbox guy, so I had to.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
I had to flip over.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
Xbox people were weird showing buttons and the controllers not
shaped very well.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
It's not as hard as you think. You can get
used to it.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
I agree with you. The PS five controller better. I
just you know, I built my own computer and IPT game. Yeah,
well I use AI now to play.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
The thing I.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
Appreciate about PlayStation is though they went PlayStation PlayStation two,
PlayStation three.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Okay, he likes C four five.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
Xbox is like Xbox three sixty X plus Max series
X Series X Yeah they have. It's such so confusing
what the Xbox has done with the naming of their systems.
Who could know what's next unless you were just an
avid gamer.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
There were twenty four Okay, this is weird. This will
be a quick one.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
Fifty cent versus a guy named Randall Emmett. What happened
here is fifty cent started tweeting twenty nineteen that owed
him a million dollars, and it finally responded on the
internet when he said, I'm sorry forfty he misspelled it.
I'm told now that fifty cent has that money, but
I want you to remember that exchange because fifty cent
will come back in a minute.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Who told you he has that money? A source? Yep,
number twenty three.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
This is Grimes, who is Elon Musk, his ex wife
and h.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
A restricted free agent for the Sixers. Yeah, looking for
twenty five MILLI year. Yeah, Dinwoody to the Hornets. I'm
saying too. By the way, oh that's great, added way
too many white guys.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
Versus Azelia Banks. Now Azelia Banks was a singer. So
Grimes let Azelia Banks stay at her house, her in
Elon's house for the weekend.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
And she's the one with the enormous ass, right, Yeah,
she was living here for some reason.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Oh is that right?

Speaker 3 (03:33):
And she was in Dellas fort Worth until recently she
to escape the Elon muskhouse for a weekend because Azelia
started posting online for the week saying that it was
like a get out situation. Says that Elon tried to
proposition her into a threesome. Elon claims he's never met her, okay,
and then Grimes, years later commented on it. But Azelia
Banks ends up winning the beef because she said that

(03:54):
Grimes smelled like a roll of Nichols. But to go
back to something earlier than show, I have discovered Nichols
are made by both copper and nickel combined Dimes made
of copper?

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Is that right? Not silver?

Speaker 3 (04:09):
Like people think incredible? That was a three PM hour
conversation from twenty two. Will Smith versus Chris Rock.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Man's so bad. I still quote I still quote it.
Which part just olive?

Speaker 3 (04:23):
Oh oh.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
That one?

Speaker 2 (04:27):
Yeah, it's bad And Will Smith is all over my
timeline now still rapping and it's bad.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
It's so unbelievably bad. He did have it.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
He did it recently, like in some rap that was released.
Take a shot at Chris Rock We're like, if you
disrespect me on the stage, expect me on the stage.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
I'm like, that's great.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
Just go into hiding for two or three years, you
get a lot of money, and then come back out
with a cool movie.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
He's talking about. He's rapping about Grammys and stuff like, man,
who is this.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
For last one? And then we'll pick it up at
twenty next. Mike Evans versus Marshawn Lattimore. If you haven't
following the NFL in last five years, you might not
know this. Anytime they play each other, it's like a
cube to leave. There's like Richard Sherman and Crabtree HM
or a cube to leave in Crabtree. Pretty much anyone
covering Crabtree. They get in fights all the time. It's amazing.

(05:18):
Marsha Lattimore is known as like the only guy who
can shut Mike Evans down. He gets in his head
just throwing helmets at each other and stuff. These guys
are crazy.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
It's like Pickens and Lewis. Wait, okay, whish we played
the Jaguars this year? Yeah, me too. I always wish
that we'll.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
Pick it up in the top twenty again Metallica's Biggest
beef of all time.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
Next Ben and Skin Show ninety seven point one The Eagle.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
We are barreling into the fourth of July weekend. We
got one more day tomorrow. We'll have a best of
on the fourth. I think most people are probably off
and you can join me and Ben out at roller
Town Beer Works. That's the sponsor of this segment, and
we will be there all weekend. Thursday night, we kick
off things with brand New Funk, a really fun musical

(06:02):
experience and Jazzy's Tacos. Then on Friday, fourth of July,
we have all kinds of festivities going on, stuff for
the kiddos. Ben and I are going to be hosting
music beingos starting at four, and then it's our fifth anniversary,
so we got a big cake cutting and I don't know,
ben you and I'll probably get up there and give
a speech. It's six o'clock sharp on Saturday. To everyone

(06:23):
who comes out and celebrates with us. Yeah, So if
you've been wanting to come out to the brewery in
Solana and hang out with us, we're going to be
there Thursday night, Friday night, and Saturday, so at different
times on each day we'll be out there hanging out
with you. We would love to raise the glass with
you and thank you for supporting us. It's been such
a wild ride. Starting a brewery is a hard thing
to do, but we've survived because your loyal support. So

(06:45):
thank you for ordering our beer when you see us
on tap, thank you for putting us in your grocery
cart when you see us at the store, and thank
you for coming to see us at the tap room
in Solina, the only place you can come get our merch.
Cheers everybody, But right now it's time for this kill.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
This thing is big, continuing our countdown of the greatest
beefs of the twenty first century. We'll finish this up
tomorrow tomorrow. Will kind of treat it like a July
fourth type show, even though it's July third and nothing. Well,
no beef's a big thing on July fourth. He's right
number twenty. Taylor Swift on here again for the fourth

(07:23):
time already versus Katy Perry. Now they both dated John
Mayer and then they had a big feud that started
when Katy Perry poached some of Taylor's backup dancers because
neither one of them were good dancers, so they poachd
some of our backup dancers. Started a little feud. Apparently
they're cool now, but whatever. I was kind of bored
with that one.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Man.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
They should have taken that one off.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
I'm telling you I had I've got beef with their
rating system. Ooh, and I think that beef would be
in the top thirty of their top forty beefs putting
the system.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
They put some bad stuff on there.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
Do you know it should be in this one? Speaking
of beef, Nolan Ryan versus JD Dude, Yep, that was
a good one. It was a good beef because of
Nolan Ryan starting that beef company.

Speaker 3 (08:06):
I can't believe they got in a fight in that
conference room. Who said that? Who thought that really happened?
Did you think there was like that was actually discussed though,
Like there were people talking agoings on the.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
Air that like fisticuffs.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
Yeah, and it's like, no, just because no one beat
up Robin Ventura in nineteen ninety four does not mean
that this happened. Yes, in a room, Oh my god,
with the projector Yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
I was like, yeah, I don't know if no.

Speaker 3 (08:34):
One should have to work on time nineteen Lindsay Lohan
versus Paris Hilton.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
This was so good for you. Kevin Paris called her firecrotch.

Speaker 4 (08:44):
That's why when you said it earlier, I just looked.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
At you because of the Fire Crotch Festival. It's a
pretty sensitive thing. Yeah, getting firecrotch. Lindsay Lohan responded by
calling her the sea word. And I'm not talking about
cute carl.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
That's a nuclear bomb with women to throw that down, right.

Speaker 4 (09:03):
Yeah. Yeah, I've never been called that.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
I don't believe if you've called anyone that. No, you've
ever been called that to your face?

Speaker 3 (09:13):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (09:13):
No, not female.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
Have you Have you ever run across a really mean
lady and you've had that terrible thought?

Speaker 4 (09:20):
I don't think I've ever thought that word in my head.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
No, I think it's funny you to say anyways.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
Yeah, I think that word probably two or three times
a day.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
Sorry about her?

Speaker 1 (09:35):
Know about you? Yeah? You know that is that that's
a word that the Brits use. Yeah, they're big on
that word.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
It is.

Speaker 3 (09:44):
Ultimately, that was just a fight over mid two thousands
at Girl Dominate. It's a little weird time mid two thousands,
like that.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
Reality World came about.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
People were kind of uncomfortable joking about politics and what
was happening because nine to eleven and then we went
to war. So it's like, you what, let's focus all
of our attention on tabloid stuff. It's not as It's
not as good. Over time you realize it's not as funny.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
How well do you think the show holds up where
her and Nicole Richie went around to the farmers simple life? Yeah,
I mean for people who watched it up, but they
love it dude. You know, I'm saying, how old do
you think if you just fired it up right now?

Speaker 1 (10:18):
How do you think it was? Never for me?

Speaker 3 (10:19):
So I don't think I would like it, but like anybody, man,
I guarantee you my watch it.

Speaker 4 (10:25):
Yeah, people love live Love Island and.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
They're having watch parties for that.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
What is Love Island just people hooking up on an
island basically, so you know reality show Love Island. Do
you think you know? But this is the thing where
a few years ago the vander Pump Rules had a
big boost and people were doing watch parties for that.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
I still don't know what that was. What is it?

Speaker 3 (10:45):
I don't know, you knowedand pump stuff couldn't It's just
not for us, you know, But there are a lot
of people like.

Speaker 1 (10:53):
It, the Real Housewives of everywhere.

Speaker 3 (10:56):
M hm. I'm eighteen Metallica versus and he guesses already know.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
And it should be higher, Iron Maiden, It's got to
be napster that was. That should be higher, that actually
changed the cultural landscape.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
That should be higher. That should be top five. So
it is a demo for a single.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
They were making a single for Mission Impossible too, which
is seen is not the good one of the eight.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
It's the worst one of the eight, isn't it been.
I'm not an expert on it. You're our expert.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
The last one was really good, though I couldn't tell
you really either. There was a John wu one in
there that was Mission Puzzle too, which one had the
U two song that was the first.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
One I think so.

Speaker 3 (11:42):
Yeah, So the the demo for the single that was
supposed to be on Mission Impossible Too, eleaked onto Napster
and they went scorched Earth and they filed a huge
lawsuit against Napster and it actually brought.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
Down the company. Yeah, so Napster died.

Speaker 3 (11:57):
But Metallica probably had no idea that LimeWire and Khazam,
Morpheus and all these other places.

Speaker 1 (12:04):
Were the other thing.

Speaker 2 (12:05):
The other thing, though, too, is the way that Lars
and it was Lars Ulrich leading to charge on that
that alienated a lot of their fan base because they
were definitely looked at as rich bullies punching down. Now,
let me just say I don't disagree with them. Napster
single handedly destroyed the music business. Yeah, but if you

(12:26):
just look around, technology is destroying all of the old businesses,
you either adapt or you die.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
I would agree with that. It would be culture was
that they were artists could consent to what they're you know,
you know, back in the day. Not now clear, it's
too far gone.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
But if artists.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
Could certain artists be like, yeah, I'm cool with it,
and if some archs like no, I mean although that
would make people again look down at the bands that
said no.

Speaker 4 (12:49):
You remember Radiohead, they're in Rainbows. They just released it,
and they're like, whatever you want to pay. If you
don't want to pay a thing, here you go.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
You know what I paid for it? Nothing, nine dollars
and ninety nine cents. Okay, because that's how much a
download cost at the time. I was like, I appreciate
your radio. Here ahead, you don't need my money. Here's
nine dollars and ninety nine cents out of print.

Speaker 3 (13:06):
Not that ten dollars goes to one of the Greenwood
brothers pockets though you know, uh, they still released it,
so he does. Then it didn't go oh they said
they didn't have that on a label.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
There it's with they were no longer with Columbia or
whoever that was. They'd moved on to their own thing.

Speaker 3 (13:23):
Number seventeen. Trump versus Rosie o'donald love it.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
They were on the same side.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
And there a whole Trump bracket here, like a whole
Trump and.

Speaker 3 (13:31):
Taylor are the two commonalities you'll see on this list.
More than anybody and more Taylor than Trump. So Rosie
o'donald was an outspoken liberal on the view she was
criticizing the Bush administration blah blah blah. And then over
the years, Trump called her a pig, a slob, and
a loser, and.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
Then o'donald would call him an orange anus.

Speaker 3 (13:53):
Oh, but then Trump like started dropping her name, like
in the presidential debate with Hillary.

Speaker 1 (13:59):
It started up in Rosi o'donald's.

Speaker 3 (14:01):
Name out of nowhere, and uh, yeah, that's how you
get the number seventeen on this list, sixteen push a
Tea versus Drake, Let's go should be higher. This is
the one where uh push a tea basically unt least
a song called the Story of ading On revealing that
Drake had a kid that the world didn't know about.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
It's the most vicious diss ever. Also called out Drake
for using blackface. Yeah, they they had.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
There was prominent rap figures that got involved and just
asked Push a Tea to just hey, please don't do
this anymore. This is getting too bad. This is bad
for our whole industry, is bad for our industry. This
is the napster of rap. Please let's not do this fifteen. Man,
they put on here two ladies from the show The
Good Wife. So let's move on number fourteen, fifty cent

(14:49):
versus Floyd Mayweather. Oh and I like this one because
it didn't Fitty tell him you can't read or something.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
Fifty cents on here a lot? So is he happy
with the.

Speaker 3 (15:00):
By the way, Uh, probably not.

Speaker 2 (15:04):
I mean he says whatever he wants anyways. But man,
he went in on that fifty His baby mama was
involved in freak absent made him unhappy.

Speaker 3 (15:12):
Fifty cent was wild in the ninety zo. He had
a beef with jaw Rule too. One time we did
a song called how to Rob and about how He'd
stick up. That was any rapper R and B figure
of the late nineties. It's one of the best rap
songs ever. And it's not just jaw Rule.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
He he goes after every Missy Elliott, like he lists
them person by person.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
Yeah, that's that's before he blew up.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
But then we moved to sports because fifty cent and
Floyd Mayweather were friends and they had a big falling
out over money. Fifty cent. If you owed fifty cent money,
he was going to go after you. So what happened
is Flood Mayweather had to go to jail for a
domestic violence thing, and fifty Cent was like, okay, I'll
run your promotional company or help run your promotional company

(15:56):
while you're in jail. So fifty Cent, you know, claim
to he's helped him out. And then he said that
he donate seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars he was
owed to a charity of Floyds if he could read
a page of a Harry Potter book. Then Mayweather fired
back and he said, I'd give you one million dollars
if you can get a video of your son saying
that he loved his dad.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
Oh yeah, that's spectacular. That is good beef. That is
a good beef. Good job, Kevin. We'll pick it up tomorrow.
Top thirteen. Yep, that's a good round number. That's gonna
do it for us.

Speaker 2 (16:31):
I'll never forget the time Kt looked Fitty Sent dead
in his eye because he saw him at a Garth
Brooks concert, and fifty sent looked at him and Kat said.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
Did you know that butterflies?

Speaker 3 (16:41):
They studied them across the Atlantic Ocean only took eight days.

Speaker 2 (16:45):
And then Fidty sent never talked to KT again. Christinea
is going to stick around and play some tunes here
on the Eagle.

Speaker 1 (16:50):
Here' you going, well, I'm gonna get my sock back. Dude,
a great summer, that's your answer.
