Speaker 2 (00:22):
Are you excited? Featuring veteran news anchor KT's fun tweets?
All right, screw KT.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Have you guys ever wondered where these polling places come from?
Like you guys have seen Gallop right, Yeah, it's one
of those prominent polls as always. Yeah, this Gallup poll, said,
you see it on news entities all the time. I mean,
where do they get where do they do the polling?
Just like yeah, that, but also like who is Gallup?
And I was reading this article about you a drinking

(00:57):
in the United States and we'll get to those numbers,
but I thought this was super interesting. Gallup has tracked
Americans drinking behavior since nineteen thirty nine. What Yeah, And
I was like, that's that's pretty damn interesting. Yeah, we're
I mean, so we're, you know, less than twenty years
away from it being a century of Gallup tracking drinking numbers. Right,

(01:21):
And it's so it's like Michigan with the chefs or
not Michigan Michelan, Uh huh, Michelan with the chefs.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
It's like, how is a tire company involved?

Speaker 1 (01:29):
These are the people that invented like a cross between
jogging and running, and they are in charge of polls.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
Right, that's crazy. Who could know?

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Yeah, Gallup, it's more of a horse thing ben which,
by the way, speaking of horse as a song, I mean,
I'm sorry.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
A story on dong size coming up later in the show.
It's important. That's good synergy. Here's what the numbers say.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
I'm just gonna read you these three highlights and we're
going to talk about what they might mean. America is
self reported drinking down to fifty four percent after consecutive decline,
the belief that moderate drinking is bad for your health
rises to a new high of fifty three percent, and
drinkers report drinking less and less frequently. So I also,

(02:13):
in doing the numbers, my first thought was, all right, well,
more marijuana is legal, but there is no correlation between
marijuana becoming legal in more states and the decline in drinking.
I would think that just the pandemic numbers skyrocketed. Oh yeah,
everybody drank so much in the pandemic because there was

(02:35):
nothing else to do. Yeah, and so those numbers skyrocketed.
So I think anything, I don't know in the next
in the years following that are going to be on decline.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Maybe I was worried about Christina during the pandemic.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
What because I was drinking so much.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
It was normal. I still drink a lot, Oh I
did do.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
So I wanted to say on the weed thing real quick.
Usually you have your friends who smoke weed, and then
the friends that drink, Yeah, they don't. It's they don't
usually cross like you usually have a separate So that
doesn't really surprise me. Okay, But I think it's the
younger generation causing this, right, Like they don't want That's
what I've been reading, and that's what I've heard, is
like they don't want the hangovers. They are aware of

(03:16):
the health risk and effects, and they've probably seen their
parents drink too much and they just don't want any
part of it.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
I saw some studies that that's the number one thing
that is deterring the young the younger people from drinking
is them seeing their parents drink too much.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
And man, especially you wine goals.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
Oh my god, dude, I drink almost an entire bottle
last night.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
I hear it.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
I hear it from my kids in their voice. You know,
my wife and I would go to a friend's house
in the neighborhood and come home and my daughter's like,
did you get drunk?

Speaker 2 (03:47):
Wait? What are you talking about?

Speaker 1 (03:49):
No?

Speaker 2 (03:50):
Why are the judgment like this is the only stat
that I care about.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Us drinkers continue to cite beers the alcoholic beverage they
consume most often. Yeah, And I think I think that
makes sense because you know, if you're drinking heavy liquor,
you know, the brown, you're you're going more hardcore, right, yeah,
or tequila or even vodka, so you know, a nice
craft beer makes it far more casual and relaxing.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
You don't have to go overboard. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
I mean, I still love whiskey, but I and probably
part of it had to. And I'm sure alcohol there,
doctor's tell alcohol's alcohol, But just what felt like a
carcinogen in the form of whiskey. When I went through cancer,
the amount of whiskey that I drink post cancer was down.
I mean, I bet it was down ninety percent. Yeah,

(04:42):
Like I can't remember the last time I drank whiskey. Yeah,
I mean, I'd love it. It's great, but it's going to
be very infrequent for me. If I drink I'm drinking beer,
you know. I mean, I still will occasionally drink some tequila,
but beer is far and away my alcoholic beverage of choice.
All right, The numbers say what the numbers say. Ben

(05:02):
and Skin Show ninety seven point one, The Eagle coming
up next in the Love Shack, Are you lying about
the size of your member?

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Christina is going to report on you next
