”"Is Meg White actually going to show up—or will someone else be the White Stripes?" That burning question sets the tone for a wildly entertaining edition of Krystina’s Cookie Jar on The Ben and Skin Show, featuring Ben Rogers, Jeff “Skin” Wade, Kevin “KT” Turner, and Krystina Ray. With the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony just weeks away, the gang dives into the newly released list of presenters and performers—and things get speculative, hilarious, and downright chaotic. From Doja Cat possibly honoring Salt-N-Pepa to David Letterman’s confirmed tribute to Warren Zevon, the team plays musical matchmaker, trying to connect the dots between legends and their modern-day counterparts.

Speaker 1 (00:01):
Last time to pop the top your heads and it's
grab Christina's scoopy jar.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
So the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, guys, we
are less than a month away. November eighth is when
that ceremony is happening in LA and it will be
live streaming on Disney Plus.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
I believe seven o'clock.

Speaker 4 (00:41):
Did they live stream that on Disney last year? That
was live streamed it for like seven hours. I watched
the whole thing.

Speaker 5 (00:47):
God, I've only.

Speaker 4 (00:48):
Ever I've only ever watched like the HBO recap of it.
It's two hours.

Speaker 5 (00:52):
Oh, I watched the whole seven hour thing.

Speaker 4 (00:54):
And they closed the Dave Matthews band, so I could
have really jumped in halfway through the final.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
I did watch the whole thing. But see, when you
watch the whole thing, you get to see all the
like little minor fun stuff that happens. Yeah, they take
that out. There's so much crap they added out. Yeah, really,
you got to watch the whole thing. I'm good, okay,
Uh Well, anyway, so we are less than a month
away November eighth, and they finally revealed the list of
presenters and performers. But what's fun about this list? I

(01:20):
have all the names right here. I have no idea
who's actually presenting and who's actually performing. Okay, some of
these people could do both.

Speaker 5 (01:27):
Okay, the double dip.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Now, I do know one presenter here, which I guess
is pretty obvious anyway, you know, for.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
Starting with Beck.

Speaker 5 (01:40):
Okay, presenting for.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
I'll go over every Checker, the nominees.

Speaker 5 (01:46):
Yeah, wait, who is presenting for? We don't know, we
don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
We're guessing.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
We give me who's I don't know the inductees this year, okay,
bad Company, Chubby Checker, like Katie just said, Jocock, Her,
Cindy Lauper, Outcast, oh, sound Garden, and the Wide Stripes.
Also Salt and Peppa and Warren Zevonne.

Speaker 4 (02:12):
Yeah, warren Zyvonne is probably like a honorary thing.

Speaker 5 (02:16):
Yeah, okay, Pepa uh.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
And then we have Tom Bell, Nicky Hopkins and Carol
Kay for Musical excellence for writers and Lenny Warrenker.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
Yeah, they have those extra a wars that are well
deserving to those who get it.

Speaker 5 (02:31):
Also, you're like, can we get to so these are?

Speaker 3 (02:34):
Yeah? Those are all the inductees this here.

Speaker 4 (02:36):
I don't know who Beck is tied to there unless
they were trying to do something cheeky and have him
be a part of Salt and Peppa. Well, it could
be performing for someone, of course, could be doing a tribute,
could be a lot of different things.

Speaker 5 (02:45):
Did Beck ever work with Jack White? I don't think so.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
Okay, I don't think so either. Some Joe Cocker maybe.

Speaker 5 (02:51):
Well, got a couple guesses on some other people keep
going Okay.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
Brandy Carlisle is next on the list.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
They just have her there to do everything. So she's
probably toward someone, and I don't know, I don't I
don't see her. I think of her as a great songwriter,
and so I imagine that might be a Warren Zevon timemorium.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
Yeah yeah, okay, David Letterman, Oh, that's.

Speaker 5 (03:12):
Definitely warned Zevon. Letterman is a huge Warren Zevon fan.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
So that's the only one I know he is presenting
for Warren. You have a good speech, doja cat Oh?
Salt Peppa Okay.

Speaker 4 (03:26):
They paved the way, like the whole idea, like they
were the first well, they were the first female rappers
to break through commercially. There was like rock sande Chante
and people like that before them, But they were the
ones that first had hits. So Dojah Cat's gonna have
to get out of that flower. She was stuck here.
I'm Saturday not live last week.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
That performance was strange. Why didn't they let her get
out of the flower anyway? Elton John is going to
be there. Uh?

Speaker 5 (03:50):
Who is he tied with? Chevy Check Chevy Check, Joe Cocker.

Speaker 4 (03:55):
Maybe Joe Cocker, a couple of brit singers or Cindy.
He might be doing something them with Brandy Carlisle for
the memorial to Okay, yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
They were just they just performed not too long ago. Flea,
hopefully fully dressed. Flee will be there.

Speaker 5 (04:10):
Flea would Flee be bad Company?

Speaker 4 (04:12):
No?

Speaker 5 (04:12):
Sound Garden? Maybe sound Garden he'll be dung out for sure.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
Iggy Pop against Joe Cocker, No, they're totally different styles.

Speaker 5 (04:25):
Who was the give me the list of good Company? No?

Speaker 3 (04:29):
No again, that could be a checker. I don't know. Outcast,
sound Garden, white stripes.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
Oh, white stripes, white stripes don't exist. If Iggy Pop.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
Doesn't, skin Killer Mike is going to.

Speaker 4 (04:44):
Be there, Outcast h Maxwell, Who is the R and
B that went in?

Speaker 5 (04:51):
I mean there's not a clear one. Huh Joe Cocker, let's.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Keep going, stop it, Missy, Missy Elliot for Joe Cocker.

Speaker 4 (05:03):
I mean, could could be outcast, but like again, like
they're gonna talk about salt BEPA paving the way.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
This one's interesting. Olivia Olivia Rodrigo. I thought Cindy Hopper there.

Speaker 5 (05:14):
Oh yeah, that's good.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
Okay, that'd be cool. Quest quest Love probably outcasts as well.
I would think, uh, Taylor Momson, Wow, Okay.

Speaker 4 (05:25):
The white stripes maybe white strips, maybe maybe Soundgarden.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
She's leading her pretty reckless.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
Oh gotcha, he's a bad as she got bit by
bat last year. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Teddy Swims clearly outcast.
Oh he might be Joe Cocker. Joe Cocker, honestly Okay.
And then twenty twenty one pilots last on the list.

Speaker 4 (05:46):
Of bad company. Would they Teddy Swims? Sound Garden? Surely
they wouldn't. No, No, Now, could be white stripes performance
Oh okay, okay.

Speaker 5 (05:57):
So guy and a drummer.

Speaker 4 (05:58):
That's very interesting. That's not any connect the dogs. The
big question still is is Meg White going to show up?

Speaker 5 (06:05):
It's all I been thinking. It's not clear.

Speaker 4 (06:07):
She's said stage fright Uh, that's a big question for
me because if they if she doesn't show.

Speaker 5 (06:13):
Up, then someone else will be the White Stripes.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
Yeah, their songs all right again November eighth.

Speaker 4 (06:18):
All right, I'll try to get all that answered next
in the Today Game.
