Guys. Our friend Lee Greenwood would not have been proud
to be an American after what happened this weekend up
in New York. Now, this is not about golf. I
want to be real clear. This is about patriotism, and
this is about Americans needing to learn how to handle
themselves better. Hey, the Europeans dominated the Americans in the

Ryder Cup, which is my favorite sports event. So this
is about golf, it's not. So There's a few things
that you need to know for context, though. When we

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Yeah, who are you cheering for?
Speaker 3 (01:14):
Yeah, the Americans, even though I think I like more
people on the European team, right, And I think you
would have been cheering for the Europeans too after you
heard what the Americans did.

Ben would not because his colors don't run, right, I'll
put a boot in your ass.
Speaker 3 (01:27):
After something that happened. My colors were running everywhere. Yes, dude,
you're this is humiliating.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
Okay.

So basically the way this works is we can all
it's turned into more of a wrestling event. There's a
lot of trash talk and a lot of guys getting
into each other's face, all in good fun. Clearly there's
not going to be too much of a physical confrontation,
although nearly did.

Nearly did. But what you do before you guys about

Shot, you do be quiet, the same way you would
be quiet when a comedian was telling jokes, or if
you're at a movie theater.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
It's that boys are on offense. Like there's a lot of.

Well yeah, that's one too, YEA Like a lot of
people will say, well, it's golf, and these guys don't
need to be so stuffy. Well, you're still paying to
see these guys. They are the events, So don't even
think about it that way. Think about it as can
we at least just focus on what we're here to
see for a minute, like so, be quiet and get
to the routine of your shot. Well, every time Rory

was out there, Americans are making noise, making noise, making
noise to At one point Rory did this, let me
turn this up here. Okay, So Rory told him to
shut the f up.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
Now, that probably got him to quiet down.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
Yeah, that only made it worse, made it worse for sure.
And you know Rory came out and was blone kisses
to the crowd when he was introduced on day two,
So like he he got some of this as well
that I think was coming his way.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
When he's Saika Putt too. Wasn't it him or was
it his partner who did the same thing.
Speaker 3 (02:56):
They just they were all pointed to the crowd like, hey,
suck it, we're better.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
Than you know.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
And they were killed due the Americans sucked they did.
They were horrible, So you have this kind of boiling.
At one point, Americans threw beer at Rory's wife fans.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Yeah, so I saw that.
Speaker 4 (03:14):
It was a guy was holding his beer up as
like a like a toast or something, and another guy
slapped it out of the guy's hand with a slapper
and then that went flying towards him.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
Okay, well, okay, I didn't see that.
Speaker 4 (03:26):
Which is not doesn't make it any better. But it's
not like a guy just reared back and through it.
Some dumb ass just slapped one out of a guy's hand.
Speaker 3 (03:31):
But no, it's loud. Is what makes this a bit
fun is it can be like that. But Rory had
a good point in his post game press conference.
Speaker 5 (03:38):
What happened here this week is not acceptable, and it's
you know, for me, come and support your team. You know,
I think if I was an American, I would be
annoyed that people. I didn't hear a lot of shots
for Scotty today, but I heard a lot of shots
against me, And it's like, support your players, you know.
I chirped back a few times because it called to
me a few times.

When you've got police folks and the police coming and
were you aware when that was happening?
Speaker 2 (04:03):
And have you ever seen anything quite like that on
a golf course before? When you've been playing.
Speaker 5 (04:06):
Wish they had to let the dogs off the leashes. Look,
that's it's a very It's a minority of the crowd.

It's not the majority of he was he said that

Look, it's not everyone.

I understand that it's a few people, but like, let's
let's try to get it together because in Europe it
wouldn't be like that.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
My rebuttal is, hey, why don't we get that accent
fixed and focus on that. You're saying words that no
one knows what they are. Stay it in English Man,
speak english Man?
Speaker 2 (04:32):
What language is that you're talking?
Speaker 1 (04:34):
Maybe if you told the crowd in English to calm down,
but they were confused by your alien words?
Speaker 2 (04:40):
Was that German?
Speaker 1 (04:40):
I can't speak that language.
Speaker 2 (04:44):

I think you guys are going to back off your
tone and you'll say, you see what was? So they
have these people before the golfers walk out through the
long tunnel up to the first t you have a
huge crowd buyd the first tea box. It is the
party atmosphere, and you have a starter like a lady
who like introduces.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
Well, before that all got going, they were trying to
get the crowd going, and they had like a hype
man going up and they were trying to tell the
Americans how to chant.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
Okay, oh I saw this. We got one two clown?
Speaker 3 (05:26):
What two clown?
Speaker 2 (05:31):

Scotty scotty step blarn.
Speaker 2 (05:36):

They can't keep a beat or a rhythm. The crowd
grown so fast.

had to step down from her job. Okay, because she
was doing this. She started a few rory chant.
