Speaker 1 (01:57):
But that said, uh man, last night was incredible. I
want to thank you guys. We had a little birthday
dinner for me and thank you guys for putting that together.
Thank you for making time. You know, we all do
the show together. We don't get to hang out together
that often, but thank you guys for doing that. We
went to uh massume the new location by the Star

(02:18):
at the Star. Yeah, oh my god. That might be
the best restaurant in Dallas Fort Worth. It's badass, I mean,
good lord, it's good.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
And our so Christina Kray a little baby cornbread Ray.
She had to leave her boyfriend at home because that
was the only disappointment of the night. It almost ruined
the whole night. I almost left when I found out
he wasn't going to be there. Well, you know, it
was crazy. Is they came and they set the menus down.
Christina got there and they set the menus down, and

(02:47):
she was trying to figure out if she was going
too sample some sake. And I suddenly logged onto Twitch
and your boyfriend was live streaming a bunch of gaming stuff.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
Oh okay, that sounds about right.

Speaker 4 (02:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Man, I hope Ben doesn't see this. He's gonna be
so dissappointed. I loved the first thing Ben said. When
I showed up without Mike. He's like, well, I guess
it's official, are you guys? Okay? Continuing this because.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
We can call it by My relationship with him is
a lot like Zach gallifan Akus's character in The Hangover
with Bradley Cooper. You know, it's just like that, yeah,
you know. And so when he wasn't there, I was like, god,
mom oreo milkshake now, But wait till Mike figures out
you can count cards, right, it'll change everything. But man,

(03:34):
it was an amazing dinner and man again, it almost
it almost made me cry because it was so special
to me to go hang out with you guys, and then,
you know, assume their whole staff signed a card and
gave it to me, gave me a card. I'm like there, yes,

(03:56):
like their a whole stat and it said it had
a picture of a whiskey glass and it said You're
only getting better with age, and then like forty people
signed it.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
That's incredible, incredible.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
I did not know for the Samolia who I guess
didn't understand the occasion, it said storrys for your loss.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
He was confused by Skin's question.

Speaker 4 (04:14):
Yeah, he didn't know.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
It was straight up VIP. Like every single person kept going, hey,
happy birth. I'm like, how many people know?

Speaker 2 (04:21):
So thank you? Guys. Are you going to start calling
it sake? I might do that.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
That's the way to do it, right, Yes, you heard
the sake Somalia. Yeah yeah, okay, So so then this
is Collier. So after that we went to Rollertown Beer
Works in Frisco, Texas. Brewer invested in. And it's kind
of surreal because one of my favorite things you've introduced
me to in mini ear, Skin is this group Brand
New Funk. Yeah I call it a group. It's really

(04:46):
a hip hop DJ Menace, who's like a world famous DJ.
He plays nineties hip hop and then he has a
drummer with him. It's usually meds, but Meds is like
touring with a member of the Wu Tang clan. I
think he's I think he's on tour with Raekwon, right, Okay,
I believe about how crazy it is. Yeah, so because basically,
and that's how we met ray Quon was through Brand

(05:07):
New Funk Menaces was friends with ray Quon and introduced
us and then we became friends. That's amazing, and so
I think because of that relationship, Med's got on Rayquan's
current tour, I think, and you have there's one verse
from one of the dudes from Wu Tang clan where
he says, so deep it's picked up on radios and
tunnels the jizz, the jizz.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Yeah and uh liquid swords.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
And it's a great line right now that when I
used to do a podcast called Radios and Tunnels So great.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
Yeah, it's I love that line.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
I love that line too, you pointed out to me,
and it's like that whole verse killer is awesome. Maybe
my favorite hip hop verse ever.

Speaker 3 (05:42):
I think.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
I mean, everybody's got their favorites, but I think just
when it comes to just lyrics, I think the jizz
as the illest dude.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
In the Wu Tang clan. Okay, I do you think
what a name?

Speaker 3 (05:52):
Like?

Speaker 2 (05:52):
What does it mean? The jizz the genius? Right is it?
Does it mean what I think it means? Kt?

Speaker 3 (05:58):
It does?

Speaker 2 (05:58):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
So so then we have this new video podcast entity
that we've started. So we built out these really nice studios.
We'll have more on that later, but one of the
podcast studios is called the Tunnel. And there's this wallpaper
on one side that the Great Camden Norman hooked us
up with.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
This she's an interior decorator and like one wall looks
like a subway tunnel.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
Yeah, it's like it like an optical illusion almost, like
you look and you can see through down all the
way down to the tunnel.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
And it's not even on camera. It's only for the
people that are in that room to inspire the vibe
of that room. And so that room is called the Tunnel.
And so I had asked Ziggy, who is a local
artist who's incredibly talented to longtime listener, commissioned him to
make a piece of artwork. As all I did was
tell him about your line that you love so deep
it's picked up on radios and tunnels. Because that's called

(06:49):
the tunnel for that reason, and so he was going
to make some artwork for it. So he showed up
with it at Rollertown last week. I didn't know he
was showing up. He made it out of kind of
this sound proofing egg crate stuff that goes on a
wall like for a studio.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
Yeah, he like made art on top of that because
he knew what the assignment was.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
R yeah, yeah, yeah. One of he made two pieces.
One of them is big text with this weird look
on his face saying so Deep. Then the other one
there's the lyric so Deep. It's picked up on radios
and tunnels. So he had just brought it up to
Rollertown to meet us to give me the artwork. And
this was so surreal about last night because right then,

(07:30):
right when he set it down on the table, seconds later,
Inspected deck from the Wu Tang.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
Clan walked into roller Down and I'm like, what is
happening here? What is our connection with the Wu Tang Clan?

Speaker 1 (07:45):
I mean, dude, And and so on this night where
ninety Hip Hop is playing with this badass DJ, their
drummer's not there because he's on tour. The one of
the guys from Wu Tang clan, and we're getting this
artwork from inspired by one of the guys from Wu
Tang clan, a totally different.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
Guy from Wu Tank Plan walks in and is like
staring at the art. This is like he walked right
up to the table. You were like, oh, check this out.
This is the beauty of Dallas Fort Worth is. There's
just so many random people moving here just because all right,
the economy is good, I can buy some land. You know,
my money goes much further than it does in New
York or LA. So there's a lot of really random

(08:23):
celebrities living here, including a couple members of the Wu
Tang clan. And it just so happened that Inspected Deck
came out to the brewery last night's watch Nick's MAVs
with us.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
Did he love the artworker?

Speaker 3 (08:32):
What?

Speaker 2 (08:33):
Yeah? He thought it was good. He was so cool,
he was so nice.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
I was like, uh I go hey, man, uh I
was Chris Farley remember that time you were in the
Wu Tank Plan. That was awesome. But I was like, man,
I think my favorite line from you was that smoking
Joe Fraser. You know that Joe Fraser line. I smoked
on the mic, like smoking, Joe Fraser the hell yeah, yes,
and he was like thanks man. He goes, yeah, I
try to use some pop culture references and like he

(08:58):
was just.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
A normal person.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
Yeah, I could not have been nicer. He's a very
normal dude and he was just hanging out with us.
I have a really funny story. I can't remember if
I've told this on the air before, and maybe do
it another time, but the time that my daughter was
leasing these really nice apartments and he came in to
look at him and we had met before, and then
my daughter figured, Okay, I know this guy's some sort

(09:22):
of a musician, but I don't know who he is.
So she started kind of figuring out a way to
name drop me from the MAVs broadcast and then like
halfway through the thing, he goes, is your dad, skin Waight?

Speaker 2 (09:33):
And she goes, what, Like it was just totally random,
just happened to go down like that.

Speaker 1 (09:38):
So he was there with his wife, right or his girlfriend.
So he's there with his girlfriend, and she couldn't have
been nicer. He's cool as hell, And every time Inspected
Deck mentioned you, he said your whole name skin Wade,
And then she goes, oh, yeah, when we met Skin Wade,
it was.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
Skin and Wade together. That's a good So it's an
awesome bit. I got a funny story too, we'll just
get into it.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
Yeah, that was last night. Was out of a fairy tale.
So thank you guys. Just an incredible night. Thank you
all for making the time to be there. Hell yeah,
almost perfect if Troy had been there. Yeah, but we
still went ahead with the night. All right, where are
we going next and things? Skin is tracking all right,
My vacation starts tomorrow, so I'm gonna mail it in
next right here on the Eagle
