Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, we want to have a post office that works well,
doesn't lose massive amounts of money.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
I think it'll operate a let that than has been
over the years.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
It's been just a tremendous loser for this country, tremendous
amounts of money.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
Being laws and just losing to mendus amounty.
Speaker 3 (00:17):
You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
Speaker 4 (00:21):
Good Monday morning. Ben Ferguson with you.
Speaker 5 (00:23):
It's nice to have you on the forty seven Morning Update.
And here are the big stories that we are talking about.
Donald Trump's saying no more to government waste, even at
the United States Postal Service.
Speaker 4 (00:33):
Big changes could be coming. What are they? I'll explain
in a moment.
Speaker 5 (00:36):
Also, another big blow to the deep state is Donald
Trump picks Dan Bonngino to be the deputy director of
the FBI. And finally Elon must send out an email
to government employees saying, Hey, what did you actually do
at work last week?
Speaker 4 (00:52):
Justify having a job.
Speaker 5 (00:55):
It's the forty seven Morning Update and it starts right now.
Story number one another panic sitting in in Washington, d C.
Right now is Democrats are losing it over the fact
that Donald Trump is talking about reforming the United States
Postal Service. The House Oversight Committee Democrats sending a scathing
letter to the President of the United States of America saying,
(01:18):
you cannot touch the United States Postal Service. So how
did this even become an issue? While the President was
asked a question at the White House this during the
swearing end of the Commerce Secretary Howard Luttnik, And this
is what the President said.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
You are considering mergad and this with the Callers Department,
you operate the company.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
Well, we want to have a post office that works
well and doesn't lose massive amounts of money.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
And we're thinking about doing that, and it will be
a form of a merger, but it'll remind the Postal
Service and I think it'll operate a let that that
has been over the years has been dated from amendous
loser for this country, tremendous amounts of money being lost,
and we think we can do something that will be
very good and keep it a very similar way. But
(02:10):
whether it's a merger or just using some of the
very talented people that we have elsewhere so it doesn't
lose so much it's losing a tremendous amount of money.
Speaker 5 (02:18):
Now, for the majority of Americans that heard the President,
that was not a shocking or crazy comment made. He's saying,
this is losing entirely too much money, has been for decades,
and there must be some reforms and accountability.
Speaker 4 (02:32):
So what are the left do?
Speaker 5 (02:34):
Following the remarks, Democrat members of the House Oversight Committee
send a letter to Trump urging him to abandon any
plans to reform the United States Postal Service. Here's the kicker,
there is no actual plan that has even been put
forward for the left to actually be afraid of. It
doesn't matter because this is all about keeping their liberal
(02:57):
union members employed no matter what. In their letter, they
were quoted as saying, your reported efforts to dismantle the
Postal Service as an independent agency would directly undermine the
affordability and reliability of the US postal system. That is
what the ranking member, a Democrat from Virginia, said, and
other panel members also wrote in the letter saying, quote,
(03:20):
we urge you to abandon immediately any plans that would
either privatize the Postal Service or undermine the independence of
the Postal Service.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
Now.
Speaker 5 (03:30):
The letter also followed reporting from the Washington Post that
the President is weighing firing the US Postal Service Board
and absorbing the United States Postal Service into the Department
of Commerce. Democrats continue to lose their minds, of course,
by saying, Congress prescribed a clear and critical mandate for
the Postal Service to deliver efficient, reliable, and universal service
(03:52):
to all Americans, Your reported plans for the Postal Service
would put at risk the timely, affordable, to delivery of
life saving medications, mail in ballots, important financial documents, and
letters from level ones, especially in rule are less profitable
areas that the private sector refuses to service.
Speaker 4 (04:12):
And to be clear, all of this is fear mongering.
Speaker 5 (04:15):
The President of the United States of America hasn't even
announced an actual plan yet. So why is it Democrats
are going so insane. It's because many of the employees
of the United States Postal Service are Democrats and union members.
They are obsessed with keeping that power regardless of how
much the US government has to bail out the Postal
(04:37):
Service each and every year. The final point that the
President is making is there must be some changes. Maybe
that means not having the mail be delivered Monday through Saturday.
It could mean that there are a Tuesday, Wednesday or
Thursday schedule, or a Monday, Wednesday Friday schedule. The point
is it's time for the postal service to be efficient.
(05:00):
Doesn't mean that he's shutting the entire thing down. So
when you hear the media tell you that the president's
threatening to do that, to be very clear, there is
not an actual plan yet from the president, so they
are lying to you.
Speaker 4 (05:13):
Next story number two.
Speaker 5 (05:14):
It's pretty clear that Donald Trump isn't tired of winning yet. Yes,
last week Cashpatel became the FBI director, but Donald Trump
wasn't done dismantling the deep state. Donald Trump announced over
the weekend that Dan Bongino has been picked to be
the deputy director of the FBI, and to tweet the
(05:35):
present sent out, he said, great news for law enforcement
an American justice. Dan Bongino, a man of incredible love
and passion for our country, has just been named the
next Deputy director of the FBI by the man who
will be the best ever director, Cash Battel. Dan has
(05:55):
a master's degree in psychology from See You and Why
and an MBA from Penn State. He was a member
of the New York Police Department New York's Finance, a
highly respected special agent with a United States Secret Service
and is now one of the most successful podcasters in
the country, something he is willing and prepared to give
(06:18):
up in order to serve. Working with our great new
United States Attorney General Pambondi and Director Partel, Fairness, Justice,
law and order will be brought back to America and quickly.
Congratulations Dan, Now this move is obviously making the Deep
(06:38):
State go totally insane. Dan Bongino making it clear that
he is ready to serve his country and giving up
one of the most successful podcasts in American history. He
simply put it this way. Thank you, mister President, Attorney
General Bondi, and Director Patel. Now what does this mean
for the deep State?
Speaker 4 (06:59):
Well.
Speaker 5 (06:59):
In an inter back in twenty twenty three, Bongino weighed
in on Cocaine that he'd been discovered in the West
Wing of the White House, for example, stating that quote
there is simply no way the Secret Service did not
know who it belonged to. Bongino added at the time
the government was quote so messed up and so corrupt.
Right now, argue all you want about the Deep State
(07:22):
being a conspiracy theory or whatever, went on to say
at the time in this interview, he said, that's all bull.
Speaker 4 (07:28):
You know what, it's real.
Speaker 5 (07:30):
We've already seen corruption in the intel community, the FBI.
We are going to find out question Mark. The answer is,
I don't know. I can't predict the future. But let
me tell you this. I'm just looking in the camera
and begging the Secret Service leadership, now, just don't do
to America what the FBI did. Translation Caspitel Pambondi and
(07:55):
now Dan Bongino have their work cut out for them,
and the job the president has given them is to
clean up the deep state, and now they have the
manpower to do it.
Speaker 3 (08:07):
And here is story number three.
Speaker 5 (08:09):
Imagine being at work and receiving an email from your
boss asking you to state, what did you do last
week in your job over the last five things you did,
and knowing that you don't have a very good answer. Well,
for many government employees, that is exactly the email they received.
Elon Musk, leading the Department of Government Efficiency under Donald Trump,
(08:32):
send an email to all US federal employees with a
subject line, what did you do last week? The email
dispatched late Saturday afternoon, instructed employees to provide five bullet
points summarizing their work achievements from the previous week by
midnight on Monday. Must warn that failure to respond would
(08:56):
be interpreted as a resignation. This directive has led to
quote confusion and pushback within various federal agencies. Some departments,
including the State Department of the FBI, have advised their
employees to pause or refrain from responding to the email,
citing concerns over confidentiality and proper chain of command. But
(09:18):
the largest group of federal workers is being told that
it is time for them to tell Elon Musk and
those a doge exactly what they're doing now.
Speaker 4 (09:29):
Don't worry.
Speaker 5 (09:30):
Many in the government are fighting back. The largest federal
workers union criticize the move, labeling it cruel and disrespectful.
Must defended the email, stating it aligance with Donald Trump's
directive to adopt a more aggressive approach in evaluating federal
employee productivity. Must suggest it that the requirement was a
(09:51):
basic measure to ensure accountability and identify potential inefficiencies within
the government workforce. The situation has sparked a broader debate
about the treatment of federal employees. That is what Democrats
are fighting back with, saying that this is a method
of harassment instead of performance. They also are now stating
(10:13):
there are quote concerns about legality, respect, and the potential
impact on morale and national security. At the end of
the day, it's pretty clear that Elon Musk isn't going
to take the bait on any of that, and the
President of the United States of America is also making
it clear that if you're one of these woke individuals
they can't handle a basic email asking you what did
(10:36):
you do at work last week, then maybe it's time
for you to resign and get the hell out of
the government.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
