Speaker 1 (00:00):
Kamala Harris doing late night TV as a deadly hurricane
is about to hit Florida. I said this on Fox
News Channel on out Numbered that if you are a
leader right now, the way that Kamala Harris is acting,
the show, she's doing, the conversation she's having in New

(00:20):
York City is not the way that an actual leader leads.
She is the Vice President of the United States of America,
and what is she doing. She's going on podcasts like
Call Her Daddy, She's going on late night comedy shows
while she should be warning the American people about what
is about to happen in Florida. To put in perspective,

(00:44):
Florida's Attorney General told residents to write their names on
their bodies if they don't evacuate. The Florida Attorney General,
Ashley Moody, said ahead of Hurricane Milton's landfall that if
you don't get out and you know you're in an

(01:04):
area that's going to get hit, then you need to
understand exactly what you're doing. We cannot predict exactly the
storm surge in some areas, they're predicting fifteen feet. If
you're in an evacuation zone, you probably need to write
your name and permanent mark on your arm so that
people know who they are when they get to you afterwards.

(01:29):
The warning is one of many from Florida officials urging
people in evacuation zones to leave their homes immediately. Hurricane Milton,
which is currently a Category four storm, is expecting to
make landfall on the west coast of Florida later tonight. Quote.
I have urged everyone currently located in Hurricane Milton's path

(01:50):
to listen to local officials and follow safety instructions. If
you're under evacuation orders, you should evacuate now. Even President
Biden's saying that it's a matter of life and death,
and that is not a hyperbowl. It's a matter of
life and death. And I want to give credit to
President Biden for being presidential in this moment. But what

(02:13):
is the Vice president doing. She's out there doing softball
interviews and cackling with the ladies of the view. Here's
what I said on out Numbered about it. I think
one of the most shocking points of her schedule is
there are people right now that are watching TV, that
are watching her that are probably going to end up
dying in this hurricane your job. And I go back

(02:35):
to Katrina and I say that because it's important when
we watch Katrina and there were people playing politics in
on August twenty seventh, twenty eight, twenty ninth, and it
was political. It was we're not going to declare some emergency,
President Bush, We're not going to sit in the National Guard.
I'm not going to let you have power. They were
playing politics. You can't tell me that going on a
Call Her Daddy podcast when people are suffering is going

(02:59):
to help people. And more important than that, you cannot
tell me that Kamala Harris going on late night when
she should be saying to the people that are in
the wake of the storm that it's going to be
coming through, get out and listen to the local authorities.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
Get out now.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
She could save lives right now, but instead she's laughing.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
Yeah. I think Jesse Water said it best.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
People are trying to call FEMA right now, not call
her Daddy.

Speaker 4 (03:21):
I mean, that's the reality of what.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
We're dealing with.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
This is what leaders should not be doing. They should
not be doing these types of interviews. She should be
down there with FEMA, she should be at the briefings.
She should be telling people to get out. She should
be telling people that there's no one that's going to
be able to get to you to save you. That
is what she should be saying. I said this yesterday

(03:49):
and I'll say it again today. Go outside and look
at a basketball goal. If you're in Ford in the
wake of this hurricane, can you survive water at the rim?
Can you add another five feet on top of that
in some of these areas, and can you survive that?
To put in perspective, also, just so you understand what

(04:12):
this looks like, the National Weather Service has revamped the
hurricane rating system that does away with storm surge effects
of each category. The new scale, called the Simpson Hurricane
Wind Scale, will use wind as the only determining factor.

(04:32):
Category one seventy four to ninety five mile per hour
winds very dangerous. Wins with that produce some damage. What
is the Category two up to one hundred and ten
mile per hour winds extremely dangerous will cause extensive damage.
What is the Category three one hundred and eleven to
one hundred and twenty nine miles per hour devastating damage

(04:54):
will occur? What can happen?

Speaker 2 (04:55):
Then?

Speaker 1 (04:57):
Your roof can come off your house easily. We're to
category four right now. What happens, catastrophic damage will occur.
Your entire house could be blown away with you in it.
Category five wins more than one hundred and fifty seven
miles per hour. What happens, businesses, homes, buildings completely wiped

(05:20):
down to the foundation, and that foundation underwater in many
areas ten to fifteen feet of water. I don't care
who you are. I don't care how much you say
I ain't leaving. Is it really worth your life? And
I say that to people that may listen to this

(05:41):
show that are in the path of the storm. Get
out while you still can, Get out while you still can.
The Governor DeSantis making it clear there's not It's not
like just because you wear a bad that you're some
sort of of you know, Superman. Hurricane Milton is expected

(06:07):
double in size before landfall. Yeah, you may be in
a humvy, but if the water is at fifteen feet,
the humv can't get to you. You can't fly a
helicopter if you're stuck on your roof with one hundred
and fifty mile in hour winds or one hundred and
thirty or one hundred and twenty So they're going to
have to wait for the hurricane to disappear to leave

(06:29):
the area before they can even try to come get you.
This is one of those moments where leaders lead. This
is one of those moments where you find out who
the great leaders are. The path of this Category four storm,
projected to make landfall near Tampa, Florida, has shifted a
little bit. What we know now is that it has

(06:52):
one hundred and fifty five mile per hour sustained winds.
Milton is expected to remain an extremely dangerous major hurricane
when it reaches the west central coast of Florida tonight.
The National Hurricanes interceded it's briefing, urging that preparations, including evacuations,
if told to do so, should be rushed to completion.

(07:13):
This morning. There are now fifty one different counties in
the state of Florida under a state of emergency, with
millions being urged to evacuate as Milton game steam along
its path towards the Tampa Bay area by the numbers.
Governor DeSantis giving an update on safety precautions in place
in place ahead of Milton's landfall. As he described it,

(07:37):
you're in these fifty one counties. You're in these areas
where we're telling you to get out, Get out. FORDA
is actively fulfilling one thy five hundred missions to deliver food,
water generators, and other necessities. They say. There's eleven thousand
feet of flood protection systems that have been erected around
critical infrastructure like hospitals an electric infrastructure. They say nearly

(08:00):
one million gallons of gasoline have been dispatched from various
Florida ports with one hundred and six long distance fuel
tankers that are escorts and ready to go. One point
six million gallons of diesel and one point one million
gallons of gasoline are on hand in the state's fuel reserves.
Fifty five thousand cubic yards or three thousand truckloads of

(08:22):
debris from Hurricane Helena have been removed from areas, hoping
that it will make it easier to get to the
people after this second hurricane comes through. Twenty six total
search and rescue teams are enabled in these storm impacted
areas that can begin immediate rescue operations when the storm passes,
but make no mistake, while this storm is there, they

(08:43):
will not be able to come get you. And more
than six thousand Florida National Guardsmen have been deployed. DeSantis
called it the largest Florida National Guard search and rescue
mobilization the entire history of the state of Florida, and
nearly two hundred foid to state guardsmen have been deployed
as well. There's also another ridiculous part of this story,

(09:06):
and it deals with the insanity that Kamala Harris has
decided to use this moment with this hurricane to attack
Governor DeSantis down in Florida. Now, to be clear, Kamala
Harris has never called Governor DeSantis before and when there
was any other disaster. In fact, it's not even her role.
If you're Governor de Santis, your job to speak to

(09:28):
the President of United States of America, and he's been
speaking with the President of the United States of America.
But Kamala Harris is using this moment to attack Republicans.
She was on the tarmac at Andrews Air Force Base
when she decided to start the attack on Governor DeSantis,
saying I tried to call him, he didn't take my call.
Why because Governor de Santis, by the way, he didn't

(09:50):
refuse to take her call. That's a lie. It's a lie,
and she's about to tell you a lie. Listen to
Harris in her own words.

Speaker 3 (09:59):
STA NBC has reporting Governor DeSantis is ignoring your calls
on hurricanes, resources and help.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
How does that hurt the situation here? You know, moments
of crisis, if nothing else, should really be the moment
that anyone who calls themselves a leader says they're going
to put politics aside as the people first. People aren't desperate,
need to support right now, and playing political games at

(10:28):
this moment in these crisis situations, these are the height
of emergency situations. It's just utterly irresponsible and it is
selfish and it is about political gamesmanship instead of doing
the job that you saydn't know what to do, which
is to put the people first.

Speaker 1 (10:46):
This is not what leaders do, by the way, try
to score political points. What's interesting is when all this
fake controversy came up, Ron DeSantis was asked about this
at a press conference. Now, the the fact that he's
even having to answers questions. He has FEMA behind him,
National Guard behind him, he has meteorologists behind him, he

(11:07):
has all of these people in state agencies behind him.
He's trying to tell the people two days before this
storm's going to hit, get out, listen to us. We
need to make sure that you're able to save your life.
And Ron DeSantis was asked a question, right because ABC
News wants this to be a political thing, they're trying

(11:29):
to hurt DeSantis. I guess Trump, they're trying to turn
this into a political thing instead of saving lives. And
here's when he's asked the question. And listen to what
he says, saying, you're.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
Not aware of that, and if so, how are you
not aware of that?

Speaker 3 (11:40):
So Biden called me a couple of days ago with
Helene when I was on the helicopter. I didn't have
any issues. They had helped us with what we've done.
I'm not aware that he's tried to call since then,
certainly hasn't called my phone, so I don't know quite
where they're getting that information. At the same time, we
got the approvals that we need. If there's something else
that we need, you know, I'll hop on the phone
very quickly, whether that's a FEMA administrator or the President

(12:03):
UH and we will press the case to be able
to get approvals for what we need. In Florida. But
we have gotten approvals for everything that we've asked for.
As far as Harris can you go, I didn't know
that she had called, so I'm not sure who they called.
They didn't call me, and their characterization of it was
something that they did wasn't anything that anybody in my

(12:26):
office did in terms of saying that it was political.

Speaker 4 (12:29):
Given the severity this tomorrow, Athletes, since I did want
to ask you about about politics right now in terms
of should should.

Speaker 3 (12:36):
I don't want to answer questions about this is not
a time for politics, No excuse me, Gary, You and
your publication will twist anything that's done to try to
make a political agenda. That's what you do. That's how
you get your clicks. I understand that. I understand that's
the business model. Well but but I don't want to
talk about politics because, well but I have a feeling

(12:58):
that however you do, you guys will find a way
to frame it. That's just your stick. I get it.
It's fine, but I don't want to participate in it.
We have had to respond to a Category four hurricane.
We've had to prepare and now respond to something that
may hit as a major hurricane. Maybe Category four may
even be bigger than that. We hope that it does,

(13:18):
but that should be the focus. And I think some
of these questions are trying to create some type of
political angle where there's just none there. What we've asked
for has been approved. You're not seeing me out there
carping or complaining about anything. We have gotten what we
need from the Feds. We have been working constructively with
all the local communities. We have marshaled an incredible amount

(13:40):
of resources in the state of Florida to be able
to get the job done. And that's just what we're
going to continue to do. That's what we've always done
when it comes to these types of situations.

Speaker 1 (13:51):
Governor de Santis not taking the bait there, And by
the way Joe Biden put out it, it was asked
a question about DeSantis as well, backing that there's no
place for politics, as Kamala Harris is turning this into
a political issue, trying to score points even and I
think this was clearly a shot at her, a little
bit like, hey, stop acting like you're the president. You're not.

(14:12):
I'm the president. Listen to Joe Biden about his conversations
with Governor DeSantis.

Speaker 4 (14:27):
The governor of Florida, has been cooperative. He said he's
gotten all that he needs. I talked to him again
yesterday and I said, I said, no, you're doing a
great job. Is being all being done? Well, we thank
you for it. And I literally gave my personal phone
number to call. So I don't know there was a
rough start in some places, but every governor, every governor

(14:51):
from Florida to North Carolina has been fully cooperative and
supportive and acknowledged what this team is doing. And they're
doing an incredible job. We've got a lot more than Jews.

Speaker 1 (15:02):
I mean, you listen to him there and it's like
he's even saying, what are you doing? Like, what are
you doing right now? The number one issue should be
making sure that people's lives are saved, not trying to
score political points on the view, which is exactly what

(15:24):
just happened. Governor DeSantis also a moment ago at another
briefing saying, you guys are just barking up the wrong
tree right now. Help us get out information to save
people's lives. Stop trying to turn this into a bunch

(15:46):
of politics.

Speaker 4 (15:47):
I was telling people not towe evacuate because there's some
collusion between FEMA and a security team that would let
people back into the home that was obviously Guys, listen, listen.

Speaker 3 (15:57):
I think most people are wise to this. You know,
we live in an era where if you put out
crap online, you can get a lot of people to
share it and you can monetize that. That's just the
way it is. But if you're hearing things something that's
just outrageous, just no. And in state of Florida, none
of that stuff would ever fly, So you don't have

(16:18):
to worry about that. FEMA is not leading this show.
We are leading this show here in the state of Florida.
We're marshaling whatever assets are available to us. We're leveraging that.
But certainly with people evacuating. In my executive order I
put in on Saturday that the default is you have
a right to immediately return to your home following the storm. Now,

(16:39):
there may be some circumstances that are not usual, but
I mean, if a bridge is about to collapse, if
there's real massive hazards, if there's active rescues going on,
but the default is you get back. You can't just say, oh,
we're just going to keep people off for for forty
eight hours because we think it'll be easier to clean
up to breed. No no, no, no, this is your property,

(17:01):
this is your home. You have a right to go back.
So that's in our executive order. That'll be something that
we did that we worked towards to make sure that
that's the case. It's important that people are able to
get back. And I'd also know, you know, we talk
about the debris. Get all this debris right. These contractors,
some of them were doing a lousy job, others were,
and we decided to take it on ourselves to go

(17:22):
really surge people and supplement that. But by keeping the
landfills open twenty fore, there was a lot of private
citizens that were going cleaning up debris.

Speaker 1 (17:31):
I'm going to stop there because getting the debris now
and these answering the question. But even Democrats down in Florida,
one of them put it this way, much as I
dislike him, referring to the Santis, Florida emergency managers regularly
update on TV network radio telling people where to go
and the numbers. A call about an hour ago, he

(17:51):
said people can still evacuate and cross bridges, but they
will be shut down in the afternoon. There's no excuse
for I had to stay on my boat. And now
he's actually out there organizing the biggest group of linesmen
to come and restore power afterwards. In the history of Florida,
what is Kamala Harris trying to do? Trying to demean

(18:13):
Governor DeSantis about a phone call while he's dealing with
not one, but two hurricanes, a phone call Kamala harrislied
about that was apparently never made. And even the President
Joe Biden praising DeSantis doing a great job with the hurricanes,
understanding this is not a time for politics.
