Speaker 3 (00:19):
Good Wednesday morning. Ben Ferguson with you.
Speaker 5 (00:21):
It's so nice to have you on the forty seven
Morning Update, and We've got a big story to discuss.
Not only was it the one hundred day mark of
Donald Trump's presidency, but he decided to sit down and
take on the liberal media from the Oval office in
an incredible interview where he dismantled ABC News, We're gonna
have all of the highlights for you. It's the forty
(00:43):
seven Morning Update and it starts right now.
Speaker 4 (00:45):
Story number one.
Speaker 5 (00:46):
President Donald Trump, in the first hundred days of his
second term made it very clear he is in it
to win it and standing by his supporters, those that
voted for him to clean up the mess which is Washington,
D C. And Dhouse, and others in his cabinet spent
the entire day highlighting their significant achievements. Now there is
a big list of achievements, including immigration and border security
(01:10):
with significant reduction illegal border crossings. We also know that
there has been economic and regulatory measures at the White
House's touting as well, including job creation with approximately three
hundred and forty five thousand jobs that have already been added,
with over half in the non government sectors such as
construction and mining, indicating growth in the private industry employment,
(01:33):
which is so important to the Trump administration. We've also
witnessed energy sector revitalization. The administration prioritized domestic energy production
by removing many regulations, aiming to achieve energy independence and
stimulate economic growth and lower the prices that you're paying
at the pump. We've also had a major trade policy adjustment,
(01:55):
new trade policies that have been introduced with the intention
of promoting domestic manufacturing and protecting American workers and American industries.
It's also been a major point with the President when
it comes to the issue of national security. And then
there is doge government efficiency and deregulation. We've had executive
(02:15):
orders a total of one hundred and forty two executive
orders that have been signed focused on reducing bureaucratic red
tape and streamlining government operations. Then you have the Department
of Government Efficiency led by Elon Musk. This new department
aims to identify and eliminate inefficiencies, which are now into
the hundreds of billions of dollars. And that's not all
(02:38):
cultural and educational initiatives as well, including education reform. The
administration has taken major steps to reform educational institutions, emphasizing
traditional curriculum and reducing federal oversight getting it back to
the States. We've also had a major change in social policies,
policies that were implemented to align with traditional sc social values,
(03:01):
including actions really to jenior definitions and sports participation, protecting
women in sports. Now let's move to foreign policy and
international relations. We have had major support coming in from
our allies. The administration reaffirmed its support for major allies,
aiming to strengthen international partnerships instead of weakening them, which
(03:22):
is exactly what happened under the Biden administration. And then
trade negotiations, Efforts have been made to reinvigorate trade deals
to favor American interests and the goal is to boost
the domestic economy and the American workforce. Now, the President
decided to highlight all of this at a Michigan rally.
(03:43):
Many described as what he does so well at these
campaign rallies. But on the one hundredth day, President Trump
held the rally in Michigan, declearing his first hundred days
as the quote most successful in presidential history, highlighting achievements
in immigration, energy, and economic policies that I just mentioned. Now,
the President wasn't done there. He also decided it was
(04:05):
time to take on the liberal media, and the President
United States of America set down in the Oval Office
for a one on one interview with ABC News. Now,
let me warn you, this is a beat down, and
the President of the United States of America didn't hold back.
One of the big highlights was when he talked about
America and why it's so important that we are respected again.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
Here's some of that back and forth.
Speaker 6 (04:30):
Do you think the reputation in the United States has
gone down under your presidence?
Speaker 1 (04:35):
No, I think it's gone way up, and I think
we're a respected country again.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
We were left at all over the world.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
We had a president that couldn't walk up a flight
of stairs, couldn't walk down a flight of stairs, couldn't
walk across the stage without falling.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
We had a president that was grossly incompetent.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
You knew it, I knew it, and everybody knew it,
but you guys didn't want to write it because you're
fake news.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
All right. By the way, ABC's one of the worst,
I have to be honest. Okay, thank you. Now.
Speaker 5 (05:00):
The President wasn't done there, calling them one of the worst.
He also called them out for some of their lives
to the American people, even in the interview, saying, you
guys are just making it up.
Speaker 7 (05:12):
A legal note, fraud is a crime. There have been
no referrals to the Justice Department at anyway.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
You don't know that, do you. How do you know that.
Speaker 7 (05:20):
Have there been referrals to the How would you.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
Know that that there were no referrals?
Speaker 6 (05:25):
I think they generally all right, there's been no investigation
from the Host Department.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
That I'm asking you, sir, you're not asking me. You
admit a statement. Now I'm asking you there was a
statement that you made the head I'm asking you.
Speaker 6 (05:38):
Have they been yes, So they have been referrals for
fraud from the worst.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
Step to take a look at some of these things
that took us billions of dollars.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
We give it to people for no reason whatsoever. Of
course they have.
Speaker 5 (05:50):
I love how fast ABC News moves along from that
back and forth once they realized the presence gotten them again.
And then how about the issue with legal crossings at
the southern border. ABC News forced to admit that, yes,
in fact, President Donald Trump's plan has worked well.
Speaker 6 (06:11):
And as you said, it is an undeniable fact that
illegal crossings at the southern border have plummeted a staggering decline.
Speaker 7 (06:20):
But there are questions about your.
Speaker 6 (06:22):
Methods, and so I want to ask you about my methods,
about your methods, how you accomplished seemed to work?
Speaker 3 (06:28):
Isn't it amazing? ABC News.
Speaker 5 (06:30):
They're saying, Wow, there's no doubt, undeniable fact that illegal
crossings at the southern border have plummeted a staggering decline.
But there are questions about your methods, President Trump, Well,
they seem to work, yet again, showing them he's not
messing around. The President was also asked about his agenda
in general and making America great again. And here's what
(06:53):
the President had to say about that. One hundred days in.
Speaker 6 (06:56):
What do you say to people who are concerned you
are taking season too much power and becoming an authoritarian.
Speaker 7 (07:03):
President like we haven't had before.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
No, I would hate them to think that I'm doing
one thing. I'm making America great again. We have a
country that was failing. We have a country that was
left at all over the world. We had a leader
that was grossly incompetent. He should have never been there.
The election was rigged, he should have never been there.
Our country suffered greatly, and now our country's coming back
(07:26):
like nobody can believe. I have editorials just today where
they're saying they've never seen anything like it.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
They love it.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
Our country's coming back and we're respected again.
Speaker 5 (07:34):
President Trump also wasn't done there, calling out the LAFT
for what they had done to come after him on
revoking the security clearance have proven liars, saying, I don't
care if you like it or not. This is what
the President's going to do to keep America safe.
Speaker 7 (07:49):
I'm asking the justification for going after people you don't like.
Speaker 1 (07:55):
No, No, the people that I think are dishonest, it's
not that.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
I don't I don't even know most of them. The
people that I.
Speaker 7 (08:00):
Think people make you angry, there's not anger.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
These are people that I think are very dishonest.
Speaker 1 (08:06):
I don't think they're worthy of being able to go
into top secret information. I think that's fine, and Biden
did that with many of our people. But when you
look at it, these are people that I don't think
are worthy of That's my decision.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
It's not a question of anger.
Speaker 5 (08:23):
By the way, these are several people who flat out
lied and use the security clearance to lie to the
American voters and tell them that the hunter Byden laptop
was quote Russian disinformation. Now, one of the main things
the President wanted to get across was that we are
respected in the world. Again, the president is he described
it couldn't even walk up a flight of stairs.
Speaker 3 (08:46):
Well.
Speaker 5 (08:46):
Donald Trump also talked about Biden's security clearances and why
he believes he shouldn't have them.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
Biden did something to me, and I did something to Biden.
And you know why I did it because he's grossly incompetent.
That's not a man that you be allowed to be
looking at things that are very confidential. But what because
it's in seventy one he is a man that used
an autopen to sign very important documents. Now, who really
is did do you think he knew what that they
were using an autopen. I mean, he used an autopen
(09:16):
to sign very very important documents. And so those are
really the questions you should be asking, what do you
think of the autopen? Who wielded the autopen, because whoever
that person.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
Was, think of it.
Speaker 1 (09:30):
Whoever the person that wielded the autopen, he was really
the president of the United States, because I don't think
I don't think that Biden knew.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
Anything about it.
Speaker 5 (09:39):
I don't think Biden knew anything about it. Referencing the autopen.
ABC News wasn't done there with their propaganda. However, when
they decided to ask the president, hey, like, are you.
Speaker 3 (09:51):
Using your powers for personal revenge?
Speaker 6 (09:54):
Are you using your powers as president to get personal revenge?
Speaker 2 (09:59):
No, I'll tell you what.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
I'll tell you what you're really not asking, and you
should be asking. There has never been a president in
this country in the history that was persecuted like I
was persecuted by really crooked people, dishonest, horrible people.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
And has been proven.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
So when you say I'm treating people rough, I'm not
treating people rup. I was treated worse than any president
in the history of our country. And you know, people
figured well maybe that's it. Finally we got you know,
he's leaving town. There goes to helicopter, and then I
came back. And I came back because I have tremendous support.
(10:40):
You know, when you went an election like I wanted,
and you will admit, I won all seven swing states.
Speaker 2 (10:45):
I won the popular vote.
Speaker 1 (10:46):
I won seven hundred of let's see, two thousand, seven
hundred and fifty districts compared to five hundred districts. That's
why the map is all read. And those people feel
that I was treated unfairly. Now.
Speaker 5 (11:01):
The President was also asked a question by ABC News
about Doge, of course in a negative light. The President
fought back on that one as well, saying this.
Speaker 6 (11:12):
Did Doge go too far, too fast, too reckless.
Speaker 1 (11:15):
No, I think those has been saved. One hundred and
fifty billion dollars billion we saved. That's a lot of money.
There's also a lot of things right now under investigation
which is going to increase that amount by a lot.
That's a tremendous amount of money. There were some things
where when I heard about them, I put them back,
as you know, there are things that I'm.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
Considering right now putting back.
Speaker 1 (11:39):
But overall, we've saved hundreds of billions of dollars.
Speaker 6 (11:42):
Well, the original promise was two trillion, went to one trillion,
out to one hundred and fifty million at heading now.
Speaker 1 (11:46):
What it's going to be because we have things that
are at a very high level that are being looked
at right now. We also found tremendous waste, fraud and abuse.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
As you know, we found a lot of fraud.
Speaker 1 (11:57):
There was a lot of fraud, Fraudulent things were taken place, and.
Speaker 2 (12:01):
We ended that. And those people are going to be suffering.
Speaker 3 (12:04):
Me just the president.
Speaker 5 (12:05):
Clearly, they are stating that he's doing exactly what the
American people want him to do. And when it comes
to dogs, they love the fact the President is saving money.
Speaker 3 (12:14):
Now.
Speaker 5 (12:14):
Finally, on a foreign affairs issue, the President was asked
about Vladimir Putin and Russia and Ukraine, and here is
what the President had to say.
Speaker 6 (12:24):
It does feel like something's happening after that meeting with
Zelensky in Saint Peter's.
Speaker 7 (12:29):
You posted this on social media.
Speaker 6 (12:31):
There was no reason for Putin to be shooting missiles
into civilian areas and cities and towns over the last
few days.
Speaker 2 (12:37):
It makes me think that those part of my posts.
Speaker 6 (12:40):
But you're right, that was a part of a post,
and it says it makes me think that maybe he
doesn't want to.
Speaker 7 (12:46):
Stop the war.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
He's just tapping me along. Yeah, that's possible.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
He might be. He could be tapping me along a
little bit. I would say that he would like to
stop the war. I think that if it weren't for me,
I think he'd wanted.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
To take over the whole country.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
Personally, I always felt so when I left, there wasn't
even a chance that this would happen. When Biden got involved,
I won't say whether or not he handled it properly,
but obviously it wasn't good because the war started.
Speaker 2 (13:16):
Putin went in. The war started.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
I believe that Putin wanted to get all of you
once he went in, And I think part of the
reason he went and he saw what happened in Afghanistan.
How incompetent, how incompetently million all these guys handled that.
It was one of the greatest embarrassments of our lifetimes,
but maybe in the history of our country.
Speaker 2 (13:35):
Okay, so Putin went in. I think Putin wanted all
of Ukraine.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
I think if I didn't win the election, he would
have gotten all of Ukraine.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
I think he would have taken all of you Crade.
Speaker 1 (13:45):
I think his first choice never with me. He would
have never gone in with this group of losers.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
He went in.
Speaker 1 (13:52):
He saw what happened in Afghanistan. He said, Wow, this
is my chance. Because it was always the apple of
his eye. I talked to him, Ukraine was the apple of
his eye. I think he wanted the whole country.
Speaker 7 (14:03):
You've said them once of me.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
I do believe that he's willing to stop the fighting.
Speaker 7 (14:10):
Don't forget he wants You think Vladimir Putin wants peace.
Speaker 2 (14:14):
I think he does. Yes, I think it does.
Speaker 7 (14:17):
I think he was a reigning missiles.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
I think he really his his dream was to take
over the whole country.
Speaker 2 (14:24):
I think because of me he's not going to do that.
Speaker 3 (14:27):
Because of me, he's not going to do it.
Speaker 5 (14:29):
And as for the meeting, was the Lenscape the president
summed up the change of heart this way I.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
Want to turn.
Speaker 6 (14:36):
I was just in Rome and to that moving photograph
of you and Presidents Lensky sitting in Saint Peter's Basilica
talking peace.
Speaker 7 (14:45):
It went around the world.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
Sure, take us into that moment.
Speaker 1 (14:51):
Well, look, the Ukraine is a very serious, very tough situation,
and this is Biden's war.
Speaker 2 (14:57):
This is not my war.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
But I want to see if I can sell of it,
because probably close to five thousand young soldiers a week.
Speaker 2 (15:06):
Of being killed, Russian and Ukrainian.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
We also spend a tremendous amount of money in Ukraine,
and Europe should be spending much more than us than
not just spending much less. It's been badly handled by
the Biden administration. Has been badly handled all the way around,
all the way around that moment. The moment was a
moment of solace in a sense, because tremendous numbers of
(15:31):
people are dying. A lot of his people are dying,
They're being killed, and I feel very badly about it.
I feel very badly about That's a war that would
have never happened if I were president, and it didn't
happen for four years, it was never even a.
Speaker 2 (15:44):
Thought of it happening.
Speaker 5 (15:45):
President Trump making it clear that he's got a lot
to do, that he has a lot that he's focused on,
and that he's delivering for the American people and trying
to stop a senseless war in Ukraine.
Speaker 3 (15:56):
All of this in one hundred days.
Speaker 5 (15:59):
So the question now is what's gonna happen in the
next hundred days. Well, the good news here is we're
going to be covering it every single day for you.
