Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good morning, Welcome. It is the Ben Ferguson podcast. Nice
to have you with us, and dea nominee telling senators
that Kilmar Obrego Garcia's tattoos are in fact consistent with
MS thirteen membership, yet again blowing up the narrative by
the left that these it was a photoshop or a
(00:23):
fake picture that the presidents showed the country about those
knuckles and the tattoos on them. It is truly amazing
to me just how far the left will go to
lie and to try deceive you about what is actually happening,
just so that they can try to undermine the president
(00:44):
of the United States of America. Also, we're getting some
new word on We're getting some new word now from
Trump advisors on the latest economic data. They say is
actually not as bad as the media is trying to
put it out to be. Peter Navarro on CNBC earlier
(01:08):
saying this about where we are when it comes to tariffs,
and yeah, there is some pain when you're trying to
change people and the world that have been taking advantage
of the US for quite some time. Take a listen.
One thing about today's news. That's the best.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
Negative print I have ever seen in my life, and
the markets need to like look beneath the surface of that.
We had a twenty two percent increase in domestic investment
that is.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
Off the charts. When you strip out inventories and the.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
Negative effects of the surgeon imports because of the tariffs,
you had three percent growth. So we really like where
we're at now with respect to China. Like, look, Jim,
we know that China cheats us. We know that we
use tariffs to defend ourselves against that.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
Get and what we're trying to do with China.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
As well as the rest of the world, get the
terriff barriers down, get the non terriff farriers down, and
we do that or with the strategy we're adopting, and
I think it's working dutifully.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
We've had I mean, they're taking numbers.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
You know.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
It's like you've got to go in and get a
number now to get a meeting with us t R
the United States Trade Represented in order to make a deal.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
So all that's going to be great. So let's see
what happens here. You listen to Pieranavarro there and he's right,
you got to look beneath the surface of the numbers
because the media says everything's terrible, everything's bad, everything's awful, right,
like everything is just the worst thing ever. And Donald
Trump's screwing up the world. And Donald Trump's like, no,
(02:49):
like the people elected me to do this. Donald Trump
in the oval today as they were having this cabinet
meeting on China trade war. Here's what he said, is
all right, should say not in the oval as they're
having the cabinet meeting. Take a list in the count room.
What the president said, Why don't you speak to President China?
Speaker 3 (03:09):
We all look right now.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
And I told you before.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
They're having tremendous difficulty because their factories are not doing business.
They made a trillion dollars with Biden, a trillion dollars,
even a trillion one with Biden selling us stuff, much of.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
It we don't need, you know.
Speaker 3 (03:28):
Somebody said, oh, the shelves are going to be opened. Well,
maybe the children will have two dollars instead of thirty dollars,
you know, and maybe the two dolls will cost a
couple of bucks more than they would nominally. But we're
not talking about something that we have to go out
of our way. They have ships that are loaded up
with stuff, much of which not all of it, but
much of which we don't need. And we have to
(03:51):
make a fair dear. We've been ripped off by every
country in the world, but China, I would say, is
the leading, the leading one, the leading candidate for the
chief ripper offer. There has never been There has never
been a country that's been ripped off more than the
United States of America under some of the dumbest leadership.
(04:14):
And it usually starts with the president and you can
go back, and I'm not just talking about Biden that's
been the worst. I mean the trade deficits and everything else,
he's been the worst. But he had no idea what
he was doing. And I think somebody ought to look
at the auto ben to find out who was really
running this country, because it wasn't Biden's. Because nobody could
(04:35):
agree to what he agreed to. He put our country
at risk, at tremendous risk and fiscal risk, financial risk.
So I think we have it very much. I really
believe that the next hundred days is going to be
even better than this. Look I read an editorial yesterday
(04:56):
from a group that normally wouldn't write a good that
this is the most consequential presidency in history and the
history of our country. This is not a particular group
that would write that kind of an editorial, but they
see what we're doing and what we had to do.
And I believe if this group, not just me, if
this group wasn't here, I think our country was going
(05:17):
to be in if it was lucky, just serious trouble,
but a lot worse than that.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
I think our country could.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
Have been a total disaster. Bad things were happening with
our country, and we've stemmed the tide. We've turned it around,
but we're going to really turn it around over the
next Over the next three years, three and a half years,
we're going to turn it around, and then hopefully it'll
be in such great shape. That's my goal, to put
it in such great condition that it can't be.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
Destroyed, that it can't be destroyed. Now, the question now
is are the American people going to listen to president
or are they going to listen to PROPAGAINA for the media,
and the media is going all in to do everything
they can to tell you that the sky is falling
in Chicken. Little people that told you that Bidenomics were
working and that Bidenflation wasn't real. The same people that
(06:07):
told you that the price of gas and eggs and
everything else was not that big of a deal when
it was skyrocketing. Donald Trump also made it clear, hey,
in the coming weeks, don't forget what I'm about to
deliver to you. Tax cuts. Tax cuts are coming, and.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
In the coming weeks will pass the largest tax cuts
in American history. And I think even more so, we'll
be doing things for business like you've never seen before.
You saw it in a little smaller version at the
beginning of our last term. You know, we had the
most successful four years that any president has ever had.
The stock market was up eighty eight percent. The other
(06:47):
markets were up almost one hundred percent. And that's despite
COVID and all the crazy things happening. But we had
a tremendous We had a tremendous four years. We've given
credit for that. Actually, But our big beautiful bill, as
I called our big beautiful Bill we may name it,
that actually will include one hundred percent expensing retroactive to
(07:09):
January twentieth, So that's all the way back to just
about the beginning of the year. So expensing one year,
you take a deduction one year, so you can build
your factories right now essentially almost tax free if you
think about it, nobody's ever't been given that. And we're
going to make that expensing for a four year period
at a full one hundred percent. So last time we
(07:32):
met it one year and you had the deductions, you
do it from from one hundred percent to eighty to
sixty to forty to twenty to zippo. And now what
we're going to do is we're going to keep it at.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
That level and we're going to have it for four years.
Speaker 3 (07:47):
So I believe that was one of the reasons that
we had such unbelievable growth. Also, we allowed you.
Speaker 1 (07:52):
To bring one I mean this present if you if
you go back to the plan, he's sticking to it.
You know when Trump said China's getting hammered right now,
they're getting hammered. They're doing very poorly right now, They're
getting absolutely hammered. He's not wrong.
Speaker 3 (08:07):
I know that China is doing very poorly right now.
I just saw some reports coming out, and I don't
want that to happen to China. I like the president
a lot. President she I don't want it to happen.
I was actually sand in to hear it. But they
are getting absolutely hammered in China. But their factories are
closing all over China because we're not taking their product.
(08:28):
We don't want their product unless they're going to be
fair with us.
Speaker 1 (08:33):
Unless they're gonna be fair with us. He's putting America first,
Thank goodness, He's willing to take this on because everybody
else is like, no, kick the can down the road.
I'm not going to take that on.
Speaker 3 (08:45):
Right.
Speaker 1 (08:46):
You don't touch those security, you don't touch Medicare, Medicaid.
You're sure as hell don't deal with terror, especially when
other countries are ripping us off. You don't deal with
tough things like mineral resources in Ukraine and actually not
just handing over checks blank checks to Ukraine. Oh wait,
we got that done today. This is what I voted for.
And I think there's many of you that are listening
(09:06):
right now that would agree with me. This is what
you voted for. Oh and by the way, we're not
going to let a Ran get what they would need
to annihilate Israel or US or other people in the
Middle East that are our allies. Donald Trump, also speaking
at the White House today, saying in the coming weeks,
we're going to pass the largest tax cuts in American history.
(09:27):
And he also said, hey, if you're unhappy with how
things are right now, let's be honest. We just took
over one hundred days ago. This is Biden's economy. We're
trying to fix it.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
In Biden's final year, the United States had the worst
trade deficit ever recorded, and we lost one hundred and
six thousand manufacturing jobs. Other than that, he's done a
fantastic job. But now all that is changing, and all
that's changing very fast because we finally have the president
who wants to put our country first. You have a
(09:57):
president who believes in America first. In the first quarter
GDP numbers just out today Core GDP. Now we're removing
distortions from imports, inventories, and government spending was up plus
three percent. But this is Biden's economy because we took
over on January twentieth, and I think you have to
(10:20):
get us a little bit of time to get moving.
But this is the Biden economy. But we still had
a and we've had a lot of things happened since
November fifth that helped this economy because it was indicating
a strong private sector growth, and it was only it
only started after November fifth. The private sector started really
(10:42):
heating up after the election, even though I wasn't there.
Speaker 1 (10:46):
People knew what.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
We were going to be doing, and the private sector
growth was actually very good.
Speaker 1 (10:53):
Again, this goes back to the basics. The president just
stay in the obvious here. Why are we here this week?
We're celebrating the most successful first hundred days, he says,
of any administration American history. And everybody's like, well, what
about this? What about that? What about this? Dude? Like
some of this we're actively fixing right now. That's what
we're trying to do. That's our goal here. It does
(11:16):
take time to do it. This add instant gratification where
if I can't have it now or there's no heart,
I mean when you make real adjustments. The best example
I can use is like if you ever try to
lose weight. Some people get it, it goes like easy for them.
That's not the case with me. It's hard work, it sucks,
and you don't do it overnight. If you want to
(11:38):
lose twenty pounds or one hundred pounds, like, it's not overnight.
You got to change sayings. Real change has to happen.
It takes time, and then you start to see improvements
and then you get inspired and go, okay, now it's
worth it. Right, But if you decide tonight when you
go to bed, all right tomorrow, I'm gonna like lose
a bunch of weight. Doesn't work that way. How long
have countries been taking advantage of US? Decades? Do you
(12:00):
think you can fix that in a hundred days. It's
gonna take some time. This whole idea of instant gratification
where you can just do this in two seconds and
then it's gonna be easy, right, It doesn't work that way.
Steven Moore CNN last night he had some interesting to
(12:23):
say on China. Listen, but not all of it, but
one hundred and forty five percent do you think China's
going to just eat that?
Speaker 3 (12:31):
Well?
Speaker 4 (12:31):
First of all, I do think. By the way, I'm
not a big tariff guy myself. I'm a Trump guy,
but I'm not I'm not a big fan of terrorists.
But I disagree with you a little bit. I mean, look,
Trump did say throughout the campaign tariff is my favorite word.
So I mean that was an I likes tereiff policies
and so I don't think people should be surprised, I
mean Trump is. I do think he's doing exactly what
(12:53):
he said he would do when it came to getting
the border under control, which I think was one of
his biggest victories clearly in the first one hundred days,
and the tariff thing.
Speaker 1 (13:04):
It is true, but the one thing.
Speaker 4 (13:06):
That almost all Americans agree with Trump is China, whether
a liberal, conservative, Democrat, Republicans in this very polarized country,
the one thing that everybody agrees on, China's the villain.
They have taken advantage of us and getting tough on China.
My only complaint with what he's done so far is
that I wouldn't have picked a.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
Fight with everybody at once.
Speaker 4 (13:26):
Yes, I would have gone right after China. And I
think the goal is to isolate China, and if you
can do that and get great deals, I think it'll
turn out.
Speaker 1 (13:34):
By the way, Stephen more here, there one thing I
would disagree with him on, right, and number one I
agree with him. He says one thing and almost all
Americans agree on is China. China is the villain. Here,
he says, I wouldn't have taken on everything at once.
All right, Well, if you don't understand what the president's
trying to do, then that response could somehow make sense
(13:55):
if you understand what he's trying to do, which is
you go to all these other countries have been taking
advantage of us and say stop it. Let's get a
deal done. I'm gonna help you grow. You're gonna help
America grow, We're all gonna work together. Then you take
away China's power. So when he's like, well, I wouldn't
do all this at the same time, right, I wouldn't
do this all at once. I would have just taken
(14:18):
on China the way you take on China's by getting
other countries to decouple from China as well and giving
them an advantage over China. I don't think it takes
like a rocket sign is to figure out what Donald
Trump's art of the deal is here. The art of
the deal here is actually pretty darn simple. The art
(14:42):
of the deal is you get other people to have
great deals with America, whether that's Vietnam or Malaysia or
anywhere else, Okay, and then you start working with them,
and that takes away the power of China. And then
not only is China like losing stature, and power and influence.
(15:05):
But all these other countries around them then grow and
actually succeed for their citizens, and they're not hostiles the
United States of America while they're making money. So I
would disagree with more on the standpoint of what he
just said, like that simplistic way of saying, why I
would have just taken on China. I think you had
(15:26):
to do it this way to make it work. I
also think he understood the clock. He had to do
this right away after he's elected, immediately and get this
done before that it became an issue in the midterms,
so you have enough time for recovery. And when the
recovery happens, I think the recovery is going to happen
very very quickly. That's also going to be a great thing.
(15:46):
But if you did just China and that dragged on
for a year, and China had influence over all these
other countries and they still had all the manufacturing, you
don't have the leverage. So the way that you do
this is by doing it the ways you now, which
is all right, I gotta take it on now, I
gotta go. I gotta have an equal playing field for everybody,
(16:08):
but those that come first, you're gonna get a great deal.
We're gonna work together quickly, and then you're gonna have
more power and we're gonna isolate together China, and that's
gonna help you and your country. Like when you look
at it from that perspective, it's kind of brilliant. It's
kind of brilliant. All right, So let me just go
ahead and give you the straight up warning on what's
(16:29):
happening right now within the Democratic Party. They are in disarray.
We've talked about that before in the last several days,
Like who's in charge of the party, what do they
believe in? Where are they going? Is there a civil
war in the Democratic Party? You could answer all of
these things kind of with like a yes, yes, and
a yes. But it's more complicated than that now because
(16:52):
the Democratic Party is actually, for all intents and purposes dead.
It is a party with Marxists and socialist and communists
who are now coming out the closet and they're like,
screw it, that's like who we are. When you look
at other countries that are run by dictators and communists
and socialists, what is one of the things they do?
They turn their court system into a kangaroo court. It
(17:13):
gives them always what they want, and it does whatever
the leader says to do. Whether it's a Ran, whether
it's Afghanistan, whether it's Russia, whether it's Cuba, Venezuela, it
didn't really matter. Mexico is a great example of that.
Like they're all kangaroo courts. It's a joke. There's no
real justice there. The courts don't stand up to their leaders.
(17:34):
It just it's it is a figurehead position at best
that does whatever the hell the regime or the dictator
of the tyrant tells them to do. That's it. What
we're witnessing right now with activist judges, I do believe,
shows you just how many communists and socialists have worked
(17:55):
their way into our court system through democrats who knew
what they were doing when they appointed them or when
they ran for office, depending on what position they are in.
I'm going to give you an example of this, and
I actually think right now that this is probably the
biggest threat that we have to freedom and democracy. And
we witnessed it when they were going after Donald Trump.
(18:18):
We saw the weaponization of the deep state, of the FBI,
the dj We saw how these organizations then went and
made sure they filed the lawsuits in areas and places
where they knew what the court was going to do,
very much like communists and socialists and dictators do in
their countries. Right, they go to where they know they're
going to get a yes, or they go to where
(18:40):
they know they're going to get a no on whatever
the issue is, depending on what they need, and there's
no real debate. It's all a kangary court. It's all
fixed beforehand. Well, we now have even more of an
example of how rogue these judges are willing to go
and how much of an activist they're willing to be
in this resistance tends to the American people in their
(19:02):
decision on election day. Now, every American, whether you're a
Democrat or Republican or independent nonpartisan, should be offended by
what is happening right now, like you should be enraged
by the fact that these judges believe that they should
be able to just shut down what you voted for,
what you believe in, because look, we going up like
there's ebbs and flows right what happened Jimmy Carter gave
(19:25):
us round a Reagan Ron. Reagan gave us Bush Bush
gave us Clinton. Clinton gave us Bush, you know, like
Bush gave us Obama. Obama gave us Donald Trump. Donald
Trump gave us Joe Biden. Joe Biden gave us Donald Trump.
Like there's the consistency here. And this is why it's
so important that our court system is not political and
(19:45):
that there is precedent in the law and that the
law is interpreted without political bias, because when you start
infiltrating the court system with these radicals, and look, if
a radical gets elected in America by the people, then
I'm actually good with it, Okay, like I am. I
mean that sincerely, I'm fine with it as long as
it's the will of the people. AOC is a great
(20:08):
example of that. Alam Omar is another example of that. Right,
Like there's some radicals that get elected, the Crazy Center
from Hawaii. The list goes on on. If Democrats in California,
for example, like Gavin Newsom destroying their state, then knock
yourself out, Like that's freedom and the fact that in
America we can have hardcore conservatives get elected like Donald
(20:29):
Trump and Maga conservatives all over the country. But at
the same time you can have people like AOC who
can all of a sudden lead the opposition party. That
tells me we live in a healthy country where the
people still get to decide what they want. The fact
that a guy like Ron Paul can get elected and
then Chuck Schumer or Dick Durbin can get elected tell
me that that we are alive and well with freedom
(20:51):
of choice, and that is what this country is about.
When you have these activist judges that we're watching and
witnessing right now who are doing radical things way outside
the scope of the law, and they're not even abiding
by the law when they're supposed to be the ones
that look at the lawn say was the law broken?
(21:12):
You understand just how deadly it can be to our country,
to our freedoms when these people get on the bench.
I'm going to give you the newest example. A Biden
appointed judge blocked border patrol from arresting a suspected illegal
aliens without warrants. The United States District Court judge Jennifer Thurston,
(21:37):
appointed to the US just A Court for the Eastern
District of California by former President Joe Biden, is blocking
border patrol agents across most of California from arresting suspected
illegal aliens unless they have a warrant for their arrest. So,
in other words, if they're an illegal immigrant, you can't
go arrest them even though they're breaking a law. You
(21:58):
have to have a warrant for something else. Otherwise, No,
I'm not gonna let you do your job. This is
activist judging. One oh one. Thirston issued a preliminary injunction
this week that prevents the Border Patrol agents in California's
Eastern District, the largest by the way judicial district in
the entire state of California, from carrying out arrests have
(22:18):
suspected illegal aliens without a warrant and haunting such a
rest unless agents have a quote reasonable suspicion the suspect
is an illegal alien. In other words, this is law fair.
I'm a liberal judge. I'm gonna tell the federal government
and those that are in charge with protecting us from
(22:39):
illegal immigrants, those that are violent criminals. I'm gonna tell
them they can't do it in California. We're not open
for business here. Screw you go away. Quote. Indeed, the
evidence before the court is that the Border Patrol agents
under the Department of Home in Security authority engaged in
conduct that violated well established constitual rights, The judge wrote. Patrol,
(23:00):
by the way, is enjoined from conducting detentive stops in
the district unless pre stop the detained agent has reasonable
suspension that the person to be stopped as a non
citizen who is present within the United States in violation
of US immigration law, as required by the Fourth Amendment
of the United States Constitution. The judge went on to write,
(23:23):
there was also this Border Patrol is enjoined from affecting
warrantless arrest and the district unless pre arrest the arrest
agent has probable cause believe that the non citizen being
arrested is likely to escape before a warrant can be obtained,
as required by eight USC. Dash thirteen fifty seven a
(23:44):
Dash two. Now you look at this, and in addition
to this activist judge, who is requiring the border patrol
agents to quote document in narrative form all arrests of
legal aliens made without a warrant with facts quote that
supported the agent's reasonable suspicion, which was formed in advance
(24:08):
of the stop. So all this has to be done
in advance. This is basically setting you up for failure.
How can you do this in advance? It doesn't make
any sense. Now, It makes a lot of sense if
you're trying to protect the legal immigrants, and that's exactly
what this judge is clearly trying to do. Border Patrol
agents will also be required to quote handover de documentation
(24:29):
describing border patrol detentive stops and warrantless arrests within the
district within sixty days of Thurston's order, and every sixty
days thereafter. So we're gonna bog you down with paperwork
and basically we're gonna armchair quarterback this, and we're gonna
make it impossible for you to do your job with
(24:51):
these new rules. The United farm Workers, by the way,
represented by the ACLU, had sued Donald Trump's Department of
Home in Security after border patrol ag and is carried
out arrests across California have suspected illegal aliens that we're
working on the farmland. The lawsuit claimed that the Border
patrol agents conducted a nearly week long sweep through predominantly
(25:12):
Latino areas of Kerrent County and the surrounding region to stop,
detain and arrest people quote of color who appeared to
be farm workers or day laborers, regardless of their actual
immigration setus or individual circumstances. So, in other words, you're saying, California, like,
we know that we're harboring a whole bunch of illegal immigrants,
and we know that you know where they are, and
(25:36):
you're not stupid, but we're going to say that you're
profiling them, so you can't do it so you can
arrest them. So therefore you can't. We're not going to
work with you. And so you're going to allow these
illegal immigrants to continue to take jobs for American workers,
and we're going to allow them to continue to have
safe haven here in California. And there's not a damn
thing you can do about it, so deal with it.
That's what this judge just said. You want to know
(25:59):
what the biggest threat is right now to this country
from within, It is these judges. It's not what the
law says. She's making up laws. She goes, all right,
let me rephrase that. This judge isn't making up laws,
she just making up rules. As she goes, she's saying,
I'm playing defense on behalf of the illegal immigrants. This
is no different than the other judges we've talked about,
(26:20):
where one of them was literally protecting an illegal immigrant
and destroying a cell phone of illegal emmorate and getting
the illegal immigrant out the back door so that the
illegal emmorate wouldn't be arrested. That's a judge. That's an
activist judge, it's a radical judge. These are the stories.
There's also another narrative here that illegal immigration is not
is somehow a crime that really shouldn't even be looked
(26:42):
as a crime. And it's a quote victimus crime. Tom
Homan addressing that issue at the White House press briefing room.
Listen carefully to his words.
Speaker 5 (26:51):
The morale of Ice and borbitals at all time high
because they're getting to upholl the old they took and
they're enforcing the law. Borbitual on the Biden administration, I
met with hundreds of them. They felt like uber drivers
and tourist agents. These men and women joined the ranks
of Ice and Borbitue to enforce the law, meet the
community safer, and protect national security. I hear it all
(27:13):
the time. There's a lot of people in this country
don't like me. I don't care, but when I walk
to an airport, I have many people walking up to
me and thank me for what I'm doing, and I'm
not taking credit for anything. The success of the Border
and Immigration Enforcement is President Trump and the men and
women wearing that uniform. God blessings you, every one of them.
(27:34):
But I take a pleasure in seeing it because in
forty years of doing this, yeah, people always want to say,
why are you so emotional? And when you testify, why
are you so emotional? On a network? Because they wore
my shoes for forty years, they understand why emotional. I've
talked to the little girls as young as nine years old.
They're breat multiple times by the cartel members. And when
you get to your knee and you talk to that
(27:54):
little girl and everything innocent and pure has been ripped
from her. When you listen to the lake and ariety
said the team man's that young lady fighting for her life.
Don't just think, okay, a young woman died. Think of
how she died, the terror that she went through. And
these children are sexy assaulted. I stood back, retract to
children and nineteen dead people at my feet that baked
(28:14):
to death. Illegal mcgration is not a victimist crime. And
so every sick person we take off the streets, especially
child rapists, that makes us country much safer every ill
and when we arrest public safety threat one at a time,
makes us country savor.
Speaker 1 (28:33):
I mean, you hear what he's saying there, and he says,
when you guys think on the left of the media
that this is a victimless crime, you are wrong. I
look at all these people in the face, and I
see it each and every day. You are wrong. I
have to deal with this every single day. You are wrong.
(28:56):
I witness and sit down and talk to these people
who are victims. You were wrong. And these judges are
not judges. They're acting like they are politicians, right, They're
acting like they are nothing but politicians with a political agenda,
(29:20):
which is to undermine the President of the United States
of America, undermine the rule of law because they want
to fundamentally change this country into a country that is
not the greatest country in the world. They want this
country to be a Marxist country, a socialist country, commist country.
They don't care if we're split into four different areas
or five or six different belief systems. They don't care
how radical it's as long as it's not what we
(29:41):
have now, which is the people have the power to
decide what they want for their country. They want to
dictate to you. They want to make sure that you
bow down to them, not the other way around. Don't forget.
