C K on Sports. It isFox Sports Radio. It is my pleasure
to be joined by my guy,Nimi Blanco in the studio. A vy
Alta f C six six one standup. A V stands for Aneloe Valley.
Yes, you know what, youknow what? First of all,
just kind of explain what you're doing, what's going on the whole vibe and

(00:21):
then a vy Alta f C Firstoff, K, thank you for having
me. Man. You know we'vebeen in contact always, not just as
colleagues or acquaintances, but as friends. Yeah, I appreciate your friendship.
You know. I love to seeuh, you know, your daughter's doing
well out there in Alabama and bigfans and we always want to support local

(00:43):
talent. But yeah, man,we were in talks after you know,
you know, my my change lastyear. I wanted to, you know,
my next move be something that isis special and something that is is
meaningful. Right after you know, long talks with with the family and everyone

(01:04):
with this project that has popped upin in the in Antelope Valley, and
I decided to go all in andand so I'm excited to be part of
a V all to FC. Weare a group that is super vibrant,
supportive ownership. President. Everyone ison the same page. It's awesome to

(01:26):
see that our our our owners arecome to came to our reveal party.
Yeah, and they were taking selfies. Man, they're excited. The energy
was right, was huge. Theenergy was right. So I saw the
videos and the footage that you putup of the revealed party and to see
thousands of people out there representing av all to FC and to see what

(01:52):
the energy was like and what thefuture could be for Antelote Valley, I
said to myself, Man, thisright here could be something extremely special for
sure. Man. And the backgroundbehind that is right. We have a
great leader president. His name isJohn Smelser. He saw a vision,
right, He saw a stadium thatwas not being occupied. You know that

(02:15):
that used to be the old Jetthawksstadium that used to play against Grizzlies that
are here in Fresno. And hesaw that empty stadium and he says,
man, I'm going to put asoccer team in that stadium, and we
were going to make it a soccerspecific stadium. He cold called this the
City of Lancaster, and the Cityat Lancaster was like, hey, how

(02:38):
do we get going, right, right, where do we sign up?
And that's rare to see at thoseright. So the project just started rolling
and you know, to see thiscome to fruition is man's it's so humbling,
right, so humbling. So I'mexcited to get all the details,
all the bows and whistles that wehave some time, some ramp up time.

(02:58):
We kick off in twenty five.So I think we're gonna do an
excellent job when it comes to fanexperience, to putting a team together to
not only soccer games, but havingconcerts, having boxing matches, having an
entertainment hub for the Antelope Valley.I'm excited to help put that together along
with the team now all in Lancaster. I think it's gonna be amazing.

(03:21):
I think the reality of it isthis is a community that's gonna embrace av
Alta FC. And when you thinkabout that energy for Lancaster and the surrounding
areas Antelope Valley, it reminds meof everything that's happening with the women's team
in Stockton. And we were justtalking to the head coach there, Stockton
Cargo, and you look at thatteam at this point in the season,

(03:45):
in the USL League. They're undefeated, they get six hundred fans at the
first game, and people are comingout and being involved in it, and
you're thinking to yourself, this wasall a vision, this was all a
dream, This was all someone hopingfor the best. And that's kind of
the way that this all came about. A vision, a dream, an
a low valley stand up, sixsix one stand up. I'm telling you

(04:06):
avy all to FC yeah, Man, I'm excited. Like again, ck,
thank you, man. I knowyou've always You've always supported me,
man, and I'm always going tocontinue to support you. I think this
is not only an opportunity for thesix six one, it's opportunities for kids
in different all over the areas. We want to bring a vision to the

(04:30):
nation, man, to the UnitedStates, where where there's an area that
is isolated out there, and wewant to make sure we expose the talent
there, not just locally, butalso in every area where you know there's
a low income kid that is justa baller, right, we always talk
about this, kids that can't payto play. We want to give them
an opportunity, man. And that'swhat it's about. It doesn't matter what

(04:53):
their name is where they come from, what club they come from, If
they could play, they could play, we give we will give them opportunity
in a v al time. Andagain I'm not taking anything away from the
people that do the pay to playor you do the ECN. Now that
I get it, I understand.I mean I was one of those fathers
that I made sure that my childrenwere in the best situations to be seen.

(05:15):
But at the same time, wealso have to recognize there are a
lot of kids out there who don'tnecessarily have the resources, don't necessarily have
the opportunities. They can't necessarily jumpon the E, C and L club
and say, well, this ismy chance to be seen, because well,
first of all, geographically it doesn'twork. Financially it doesn't work.

(05:35):
You just need a helping hand.Clubs like you know av All to FC,
they're gonna be able to say, hey, you know what, you
live in the five, five, nine, you live in the six,
six, one, you live inthe two or nine, wherever you may
live, and we believe in youenough, Hey get over here, let's
help you. Let's help you achieveyour dream. Look see like you were
I'm sure you had a dream. You had a vision, but also to

(05:58):
you provided for your family, gavethose resources to your daughters. You gave
a great chance. You can't faultthat for you for doing that, right.
We always wanted to break the cycle. We want yes, our kids,
yes, to have better than wehad, right, and that was
a part of breaking the cycle. And you know what I mean. See,
I love having this conversation, yep, for sure, because it is
about saying what was not done forme that I can hopefully do for my

(06:24):
kids. And because I had themeans, the resources, the family support
to make it happen, we wereable to do those things and make sure
our children had the opportunities. Andsometimes people just can't do that. Sometimes
people are like, oh my goodness, you know, single parent household,
I can barely make ends meet. And that's why I think it's so great

(06:46):
for someone like you with a visionto go to you know, av All,
to FC and say we understand thatyour son is a baller, and
we also understand that you may nothave the financial resources that you need to
maybe be seen by the next level. But with our connections, our resources,

(07:06):
we can see the light at theend of the time, sure,
and we will help that that kid, right, that kid that doesn't come
from the same you know income, you know, bracket or tax practice right
as a lot of people, whichis you know, we that's what a
ve Alta. We want to help. We do not want to charge for

(07:27):
registration. We do not want tocharge for coaches fees, we do not
want to charge for gear. Right. All that stuff adds up man for
a person that is, hey,I know my kid has a talent,
but also got to feed the family, right right. You know, so
those are things that you really gotto think about. But but I'm excited,
man, I'm excited to uh youknow again John Smelser and along with

(07:49):
the ownership uh therein at ave Alta, they I love it because their vision
is to create vision for for allof the people that are working for the
club. If you have a vision. I love when he when he says,
all right, go do it rightright, those are the like it's

(08:09):
the most simple words, go doit. You're you're wasting time right now
talking about go get it done.Just do it. And then that's sometimes
that's the best thing you could do, is just know that you're not the
best at that craft and hiring peoplethat know, the football, the marketing,

(08:30):
every aspect of them to do this. Let them be creative, Let
them be creative. So I'm excited, you know, I'm humbled that,
you know, they brought me onas a general manager. I take that
with great responsibility and pride. Youknow, I want to compete, right,
I'm gonna be very intentional and saythat we're going to compete from the
day one. Man, We're gonnawe're gonna go and and you know,

(08:52):
obviously, you know sports of sports, you know there's no you know,
secret recipe to this to win everygame. I don't think there's been a
person in his lifetime, not evenTom Brady with how many championships, right,
so he's lost games, right right, you know what, Yeah,

(09:15):
but it makes you better. Yeah, it makes you better. And but
we're we definitely want to compete inevery aspect man. So so congratulations appreciated,
Lancaster, Annelope Valley. The surroundingarea is in the six six one
new club gonna be kicking off whattwenty twenty five, so right now here
shortly with the stadium is gonna gounder construction. It's not a full the

(09:39):
stadium's already is just basically adding twodifferent grand stands and making the soccer specific
stadium. So that should be donebefore kickoff, and you know we're ready
to go. Man, love itthe season, I'll tell you. Uh
the six to six one showed up, showed out man, our season.

(10:01):
Uh, ticket deposits looking in threefour days, we're almost at you know
two k Wow, it's it's it'sexciting. It's again humbling, and and
the people there are amazing. They'regreat, they open, they receive me
with open arms and and they're justit's really good people there man. So
I'm excited to bring something that they'regonna be proud of once again. A

(10:24):
vy alta f C Nini Blanco. We wish you nothing but the best.
You know, if you ever needyour boy to come through the six six
one, all you gotta do isholler at me. Oh you already know
we're here, but hey again,we support the five five nine still I
was I was born here, butyou know I will never forget where I
come from. You know, wewe we still support and and again we're

(10:48):
gonna give opportunities to these young talentedplayers, don't matter where they're from today.
But also we want to make sureour local guys are getting seen as
well too, so very true. There you go, Nini Blanco a v
outa FC six six one. Makesure you're ready for it. C k
