Speaker 1 (00:01):
The number one touch show in the Ohio Valley. This
is the bloom Daddy Experience. Your host, bloom Daddy. His
goal inform, entertain and tick people off. The bloom Daddy
Experience on news Radio eleven seventy WWVA starts now.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
The bloom Daddy Experience. It's seven oh six on news
radio eleven seventy. Hey, it's bloom Daddy here on a
Thursday morning. I hope everything is going well for you.
We're gonna get to Sam and Otis in just a second.
But I've received a number of emails bloom Daddy at
iHeartMedia dot com asking me to comment or what is
my opinion on Vice President Kamala Harris's VP pick. I'll

(00:42):
put it to you simply. I think it's a great
pick for the Republican Party. Like when I saw she
made that pick, I jumped up and started doing cartwheels, handstands.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
I mean, you name it.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
As bad as I believe jd Vance's pick was, is
Trump's VP. This one is just as bad, if not worse,
And I think it gives momentum back to the Republican Party.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
Because I'm not gonna lie.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
I think if she picks Josh Shapiro from Pennsylvania might
have been a game changer, might have been game over
because I'm real nervous about this election. But the fact
that she didn't and she went with this dud for Minnesota,
slam dunk for the Republican Party. Look, this guy is
the face of COVID overreaction. This guy is the face

(01:26):
of bml riding and defund the police. He gives Republicans
a ton of ammunition to use against this ticket.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
And let's take a look at the flip side here.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
You know how Democrats like to say Trump's got an
ego and he's a narcissist, which I'm not going to
say he's not. Think about Kamala Harris here for a
second word, is she did not pick Josh Shapiro for
two reasons. Number one, she's obviously placating to the jew
haters and her party. But number two, she didn't want
to be upstaged by him. There were people around her

(01:58):
and her who who felt that he would steal her
thunder that she would be overshadowed by Shapiro. So what
does that tell you about Kamala Harris's ego? What does
that tell you tells me a lot. It tells she's
more important, tells me she's more important about worrying about
herself than actually winning the presidency of the United States

(02:18):
of America. And when you take a look at this
race right now, I think Donald Trump, if he does
four things, he will win. If he doesn't do these things,
he will lose. The four things number one, focus on
the future. Tell you what he's going to do for
you in the next four years. Don't rehash old stuff,

(02:40):
don't go back to the twenty twenty election, don't call names,
focus on the future. That's the fourth most important thing.
Number three the southern border. She was an abject failure,
as the borders are, and she was the borders are,
make no mistake about it. Number two inflation, the economy.
That's a no brainer. Hit on prices, say look what

(03:02):
it was under me for four years, Look what it
is under Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. But the number
one thing then I think Donald Trump and jd. Vance
need to hammer home is take a look around. Take
a look.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
Around at what's going on in the world right now.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
You've got Iran hesbalah Hamas ganging up on Israel, you
have Putin still at war with Ukraine. You've got China
looking at Taiwan. You've got the guy in North Korea
who's going to be rattling change here sooner rather than later.
The question is world War three is knocking at the door.

(03:41):
Who do you want answering that door? Me or her?

Speaker 3 (03:45):
I think if he hammers.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
That home over and over and over that specifically, but
those four things, world War three is knocking on the door,
the inflation problem, the southern border. And here's what I'm
going to do for you the next four years. I
think Donald Trump wins the presidency if he starts name calling,
if he goes back to the election was stolen from

(04:08):
him in twenty twenty, if he does the stuff that
turns people off, he will lose and we will have
the most radical two idiots in the White House that
we have ever seen in our entire lives. And Sam,
when it comes to Trump and staying on point and
not name calling, I'm pretty sure you're on the same page.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
As I am.

Speaker 4 (04:30):
I'm exactly on the same page. That's one of the
negatives with former President Trump that drives me nuts. Let
it go, just stop with you know the election was
stolen from me. Stop with the name calling. Be above that.
That's the delivery that former President Trump needs to have.

(04:53):
Be above that. The way he was at the RNC
after the attempted assassination attack is the message in the
way that he needs to carry himself throughout the rest
of this campaign because bloom Daddy, exactly as you said,
the choice by Harris for Waltz was such a present

(05:18):
to the Republican Party into Trump and Vance. It was like,
here you go, here's an entire closet full of ammunition,
and it just was handed right to them. So it
is up to them to not mess it up. It

(05:38):
is completely up to them. Because when you look at
the resume, the tim Waltz has the labels that he's
been giving getting from, you know, sources of being extremely
liberal is an understatement. The things that Minnesotan citizens have

(06:02):
dealt with under him are crazy. If you look at
the economy under him, he wholeheartedly embraced the Build Back
Better Agenda, American Rescue Plan, and Inflation Reduction Act, which
resulted for Minnesotans, the average household spent over thirty thousand
dollars more in a year due to the inflation the

(06:26):
average household paid nearly twelve hundred per month to purchase
the same basket of goods and services. He also proposed
increasing their gas tax by seventy percent, not seven. I said,
seventy percent. That's just on the economy. Those are the

(06:49):
top three things that he was extreme on. Then you
go into the cultural conversation, like, for example, immigration, supported
making Minnesota a sanctuary state. He signed a bill that
expanded access for driver's license for illegals, so hence basically

(07:13):
make them citizens. Social issues, he signed a bill I
mentioned this yesterday making Minnesota once again a sanctuary state
for children under the age of eighteen, children to come
there to get puberty blockers and surgical transition, surgery, mutilation

(07:40):
of their bodies. Yeah, just come, We'll do it for you.
There are so many extreme things that this gentleman stands
for that once again this was handed to Trump vans
on a silver platter. Voting here's a topic that needs

(08:05):
to be hit on throughout this campaign. He opposes requiring
photo identification for voting. Why not, It's one of the
most important things as an American citizens you can do,
is your right to vote. It is what makes us
who we are as a country. There should not be

(08:26):
a problem by any citizen who wants to show a
photo ID so that they can vote. If you have
a problem with that, you need to think about it
because showing your identification to vote is a privilege. It's

(08:47):
a privilege.

Speaker 5 (08:49):
Well, you have to show your ID for just about
anything else. Why wouldn't you have to show it to vote?

Speaker 4 (08:53):
Yep, I don't get it. I don't understand it. The
Democrats try to say it's a racial thing. It's not
a racial thing.

Speaker 5 (09:01):
So it's a racial thing. If I take my check
to the bank and they asked me for my ID
when they ask everybody.

Speaker 4 (09:07):
I don't know. I don't know this entire this is.
Those are just a few points on him, just a
few points of how Extreame didn't even bring up. He
sat back and watched his major cities in his state
burn during twenty twenty. So yeah, handed to Trump vans

(09:27):
on a silver platter. Hey, we gotta jump to a
quick break and we get back otis. We've got to
get into some local news and a story out of
Marshall County. It is seven point fifteen. The bloom Daddy
Experience Sam and Otis News Radio eleven seventy WWVA, Good

(10:03):
Friday Morning, The boom Daddy Experience Sam and Otis News Radio,
eleven seventy w w v A one again, Good Thursday.

Speaker 5 (10:12):
You say good Friday morning, did I?

Speaker 4 (10:15):
Okay?

Speaker 5 (10:15):
I'm jumping ahead, wishful thinking. Yeah, you said it, and
I looked at my head, jerked, I snapped the calendar.
I'm like, wait a minute, guess.

Speaker 4 (10:25):
You know where my thought is. I guess I'm ready
for the weekend. Okay, oopsie, Good Thursday morning to you.
We're gonna get into some local news, but we'll get
back to the conversation about the VP choice by Harris.
If you want to share your thoughts, you of course
can text us at three zero three eight two started
off with bloom Daddy three zero three eight two, or

(10:46):
you can email us Sam at iHeartMedia dot com and
give us your thoughts on the VP choice. Locally, one
man has been shot in Wheeling in the North Park area.
He was seriously hurt when gunfire rang out yesterday morning
at the North Park apartments. Two people have been arrested.

(11:07):
Those are eighteen year old Dshay Young and is charged
with malicious wounding and nineteen year old Tanya Park who
is facing drug charges. If you do have additional information,
police are asking you to reach out to the Wheeling
Police Department. Out of Brook County, a law enforcement official

(11:29):
is facing felony charges for soliciting a minor. The incident
took place earlier this year, and Deputy Jason Mune has
also been charged with sexual abuse. Mckune was hired by
the Brook County Sheriff's Department last December, so it hasn't
even been employed there for an entire year.

Speaker 5 (11:51):
When you can't trust the law enforcement official or you
know that's going on, this, you need to throw the
book at this guy.

Speaker 4 (11:58):
Yeah, that's it's one of those things. I just I
don't understand it.

Speaker 5 (12:02):
If he's guilty, everything's allegedly right now.

Speaker 4 (12:05):
That's true. That's true. And then we spoke about the
car accident earlier this week that happened in the Elmgrove
area Bethany Pike that the person has been identified the
fatal victim in the crash, sixty eight year old man.
His name is Herschel Charles Dutton. He was alone in
the car and died after he was rushed to the hospital,

(12:27):
but it still remains unclear what caused him to leave
the road unfortunately. And then Saint Clair'sville residents please listen up.
Saint Clairsville is under a boil order. It will be
affecting the areas of Jefferson Street, Mars Street, and Broad Streets.
Maer Street, I'm sorry, Jefferson, Mauer and Broad Streets. They

(12:48):
are saying officials that the boil order will last until
at least Friday afternoon. So pay attention to that again,
Jefferson Street, Maer Street, and Broad Streets until late uh
Friday after afternoon. So otis you have you have something
for us?

Speaker 5 (13:08):
Yeah? Uh, you know, in the past, there's been some
stories on lame duck West Virginia Senator Mike Maroney, all
of which were either dismissed or you know, we're not
taken to court.

Speaker 3 (13:23):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (13:23):
He's back in the He's back in the limelight again.
I guess you'd call it from my sources and what
I'm about to tell you this part has been confirmed.
The Senator Maroney was at a local hotspot, gaming, parlor, cafe,

(13:43):
whatever you want to call him. And for those of
you that don't know, maybe what that is. It's it's
West Virginia's version of like a little mini casino. You
go in and there's some slot machines there, you know,
the video lottery what they call them. So you can
play the slot machines, you can play kino. There's different
games on them, so you could That's where he was
at one of these locations, and I guess while he

(14:05):
was sitting at the machine, playing the machine, he had
his hand down inside his pants. Now, from my understanding,
the attendant noticed this or was alerted to it. I can't,
I'm not the Only thing I can't confirm is whether
it was a customer that complained to the attendant or

(14:25):
the attendant actually saw it. So that's that's the only
thing that I'm not one hundred percent clear on. But
the attendant did not feel comfortable with what was happening. Allegedly,
he had his hand in his pants for you know,
a period of time, and so the attendant at the
establishment called the manager. The manager said, if you feel uncomfortable,

(14:49):
just call the police. So they called local law enforcement.
Local law enforcement asked him to leave the premises, which
he did without incident. He was not handcuffed or anything.
In that nature, and from my understanding, the law enforcement
agency subpoenaed the video lottery footage because all the video

(15:11):
lottery machines are under surveillance, whether it's one camera or
multiple cameras, so they subpoenaed that video. And from my
understanding that it's it's clear that his hands are down
in his pants. There was no exposure. To want to
make that clear, there was no exposure, but you know,
it appears that that, you know, there was something taking

(15:35):
place there, gotcha. What I have not confirmed. I was
told that he was charged with with with a probably
a misdemeanor which could be like lude conduct or something
of that nature. That's the only thing that I have
not confirmed. So I think there was there is a charge.

(15:58):
I think there was a charge, but I'm not I'm
not sure what the actual charge was. But there is
video evidence of this, and it's just another just another
you know, page in the in the Mike Maroney saga saga. Yeah, yeah,
I mean, you know, he you know, he was he
was charged with soliciting a prostitute. He was you know,

(16:20):
there was all kinds of things that went on, and
again he was charged. He wasn't convicted. I want to
make that clear. So but I mean, if if you
look at his past history, now he did get beat
in the primary, so he will not be representing West Virginia,
the district up here, uh in in the state Senate.
So that's probably a good thing. But he should be

(16:42):
I mean, there's no reason he should still be there.
And I mean he's a radiologist, and I don't know
how anybody could actually use him, you know what I'm saying.
It's just that with his record, I would not feel
comfortable going to him.

Speaker 4 (16:57):
Well, and in this we you have been reached out
to by multiple sources on this. Yeah, this is not
just hearsay from one person. So that's an unfortunate story.
Nobody wants to be made to feel uncomfortable.

Speaker 5 (17:13):
But he's got issues. Yeah, he obviously has some issues.
I'm not sure what that would be, you know, whether
that I don't you know, I don't know if there's
a substance abuse issue, if there's a if there's an
addiction issue, as far as like maybe a sexual addiction
type thing. But you know, it's it's it's it's not
a good look.

Speaker 4 (17:31):
Well as we of course gather more information or get
more information. We will bring that to you. We're going
to jump to a quick break the bloom Daddy Experience.
Samon Otis News Radio eleven seventy WWVA.

Speaker 2 (17:50):
Welcome back to the Bloomdaddy Experience on your Thursday morning.
Let's talk a little bit of sports right now. Brandon Ayuk.
It looks like the Steelers are now the front runner
over the Browns and the Washington Commanders. But apparently the
San Francisco forty nine ers want two number one draft picks.
That kind of kicks the Browns to the curb because
I don't think they have any number one draft picks
for another year with that Deshaun Watson deal, and I

(18:11):
don't think they'd be willing to give him up if
they do have them.

Speaker 3 (18:14):
As far as.

Speaker 2 (18:14):
Pittsburgh giving up two number ones for Ayuk, that is
a hefty price to pay for a guy who I
think is overrated. I want you to think about this
for a second. When he was on the San Francisco Well,
he is on the San Francisco forty nine ers, But
when opposing defensive coordinators game plan for the San Francisco
forty nine ers, probably their number one priority was stopping

(18:37):
Christian McCafferty, their number two priority, stopping George Kittle, their
number three priority, stopping Deebo Samuel their number four priority Ayuk.

Speaker 3 (18:51):
So he had three studs.

Speaker 2 (18:53):
In front of him that opposing defensive coordinators are more
worried about than Ayuk, which means he's going to get
opens to get the least amount of attention, which is
going to allow him to put up some pretty good numbers.
He comes to the Steelers of the Browns all of
a sudden, maybe he's the number one or number two
priority for opposing defensive coordinators. My point is he's put

(19:15):
up some good numbers without being the man. He goes
to another team, he's going to be the man, or
he's going to be real close to it, which means
he's going to get a lot more attention from opposing
defensive coordinators. What kind of numbers are you going to
put up? That's something we don't know. When you take
a look at the Steelers George Pickens, you know you
got to stop this guy, and he's still virtually impossible

(19:37):
to stop. Pickens is probably the scariest wide receiver in
the NFL at this time, in my opinion.

Speaker 3 (19:42):
You take a look at the Browns with Amari Cooper.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
This is a guy who for the last two years
has put up incredible numbers despite the fact he's had
mediocre quarterbacks throwing to him. Last year alone, he had
four guys throwing to him, three of which were average
at best, and a fourth Joe Flack, who was throwing
to his kids in his yard before coming to the
team and putting up some pretty good numbers. So I

(20:05):
guess what I'm trying to say is before I would
give away the farm for Brandon Ayuk, I would really
take into consideration how productive you really truly think he
can be when he's going to get the most attention
from defensive coordinators, because, say, as I said, with the
San Francisco forty nine ers, this guy was fourth on

(20:26):
the list, fourth on the priority list, So of course
you're going to get the least amount of attention you're
worried about all those other guys. He's going to be open,
He's going to get some balls, and he did. I
just don't think this guy is a elite wide receiver,
and I think he's in a system that helped him
flourish because you had to pay attention to so many
other individuals.

Speaker 3 (20:46):
I mean, Sam, do.

Speaker 2 (20:47):
You want to see Amari Cooper go from the Browns
in order to get Ayuk?

Speaker 5 (20:51):
No?

Speaker 4 (20:51):
I don't, And boy am I happy to talk football?

Speaker 2 (20:56):
Really?

Speaker 4 (20:56):
The I know otis you just love pro football.

Speaker 5 (21:00):
To be honest with you. I mean, I've seen the name,
but I really don't even know who Brandon Ayuk is.

Speaker 4 (21:05):
Well, first of all, I didn't know how to pronounce it,
so now I now finally know how to pronounce it.
I've seen it, of course on social media because the
Browns sites that I follow, everybody's talking about this, you know,
speculating on this trade. My first thought when it comes
to the Browns, first of all, is you're going to
remember who we are as a team. We are first
and foremost a run team. So the number one scenario

(21:28):
forgetting Ayuk that I have seen speculated is we would
give the forty nine ers guard Wyatt Tellor, which that
takes us right back to the run conversation. He is
amazing as a guard. I mean, when you watch the
Browns and you see one of our running backs, hopefully

(21:49):
at some point this season will be Nick Chubb back
after his injury. Whyatt Tellor's the guy halfway down the
field blocking for him. So giving up him number one,
not want to see happen. Plus giving up Marii Cooper
absolutely not. And a second round pick in twenty twenty five. Nope,
that is three things, two people and a pick. Absolutely not.

(22:13):
I completely disagree with just to receive one player. It's
kind of the same for the Steelers too. The Steelers
are a rent team. That's what they've been for decades,
so to give away two first round picks for a
receiver just doesn't make sense. Well it doesn't, especially when

(22:33):
they're still questionable when it comes to quarterback.

Speaker 5 (22:36):
Here's my thing, and again I'm not the biggest NFL
fan in the world, but I would I would not
give up two first round picks. No, unless this guy was,
like you know, Randy Moss, you know that type of
a player. I'm not giving up two first round picks.
Might give up one and then maybe a fourth or
fifth round, but I'm not giving up two first rounds.

Speaker 4 (22:58):
No, No, not four. Yes, it has he proven himself absolutely,
But like bloom Dotty said, you know, when defensive coordinators
plan for the forty nine ers, right, they.

Speaker 5 (23:08):
Plan well in the McCaffrey, kittle In, Deebo Samuels. I've
heard of all of them. I had never heard of
this guy. So I mean, so if he's your number
four target, then.

Speaker 4 (23:18):
Is he gonna happen?

Speaker 5 (23:19):
Is he gonna Yeah? What's he gonna be like? Like
blim Daddy said, what's he gonna be in a number
one or two slots? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (23:23):
Is the impact? The potential impact worth giving up so much?
But boy, I am excited to talk about football. Speaking
of I'm gonna talk about college too though. So USA
Today has released their preseason coaches poll. They of course
ranked Georgia as the top overall spot, followed by Ohio State, Oregon,

(23:46):
Texas and Alabama top out the top five. Round out
the top five excuse me last year's national championship. The
Michigan wolver Rings are ranked eighth. Pennstanin is at ninth.

Speaker 5 (24:00):
Well, here's the thing with first off, it's a preseason poll.
Now with the nil, now with the transfer portal, it's
going to be the same teams at the top, it's
going to be the same. The top twelve to fifteen
teams are going to be the same. They're just going
to rotate Okay, maybe maybe one. Maybe number one drops

(24:22):
the number five, you know next year, or number five
you know drops the number eight, Number eight moves up
to number four. It's gonna be the same ten to
fifteen schools in there every year because the nil and
the transfer portal are just ruining college sports.

Speaker 4 (24:38):
Oh that's an understated you know.

Speaker 5 (24:40):
And it's just it's gonna be the same in basketball
and any other any other big sport that you have.
I mean, you might get somebody. Let's just for instance,
if Nick Saban would come out of retirement and go
to I don't know, well, let's just say West Virginia
since he's from West Virginia. Okay, okay, would that would

(25:00):
would West Virginia move up because players are going to
want to come play for Nick Saban? You see it?
You see what I'm saying. So I think a coach
can also influence a little bit. Well, he's not going
to come out of it. He's not going to come
out of each took it.

Speaker 4 (25:12):
What for Colorado? Colorado Deon yeah did last year.

Speaker 5 (25:16):
Yeah, but Dion has improven himself and a lot of
people have left his A lot of people have left Colorado.
But initially initially he went there, they were excited. It's
the Yeah, he generated excitement. Let's that's one year. Let's
see how he holds up after four or five years.

Speaker 4 (25:32):
Well, and then you know, a lot of people are
kind of questioning Michigan, who won the championship last year,
being where they're at in this this poll, which again
is preseason. It's speculative.

Speaker 5 (25:44):
But a lot of their players graduated too, and their
coach left. Yeah, So I mean, there you go. That's
that's a reason. That's another reason to drop down to eight.
When you lose, you know, when you when you when
say out of your twenty two starters, you lose eight
sixteen of them to graduation into coach and your coach,
then you know you're the odds of you being ranked
number one that next year is probably gonna be slimm

(26:05):
to nuns.

Speaker 4 (26:05):
And there's so much that people factor into all this
when it comes to these polls. It's it's the coach,
it's the team, it's the graduates, it's the recruiting.

Speaker 5 (26:13):
Well, who you have returning right, who did you sign
into transfer portal?

Speaker 4 (26:16):
What the strength of schedule, all of that It all
goes in absolutely.

Speaker 5 (26:20):
I mean it does. But again, like I and I've
said this before, the rich are going to get richer
with this transfer portal in the NIL because you know,
teams like Alabama, teams like Ohio State, teams like Notre Dame,
they have unlimited amounts of money when it comes to
the NIL, and the NIL is being one hundred percent
misused anyway. So you know, in one of the Olympic athletes,

(26:44):
she said that she couldn't even afford to pay her rent.
And here she is, She's an Olympic athlete and she's
in school, can't afford to pay her rent, right because
you know, she she's using her money in Paris and
she says football players who haven't won anything are getting
cars in houses.

Speaker 4 (27:01):
Yeah, that's a good that's that's a good comparison.

Speaker 5 (27:04):
And then you know, and then Flavor Flav stepped up
in Peter rent Flavor Flavor Flavor Flavor.

Speaker 4 (27:10):
I mean, where's the boy. Boy? He came back out
of nowhere, didn't he. But also kicking off this year
college football is the new bracket system, the new playoff system.

Speaker 5 (27:20):
Again, that's gonna be the same. You know, you're gonna
have twelve teams. I think you're sixteen teams, well twelve, Yeah,
they want to go to sixteen.

Speaker 4 (27:27):
Well that's that'll be the conversation next.

Speaker 5 (27:29):
But the top but the top ten will be the
same almost every year. Yeah, I mean you'll have one
that'll drop, you know, you're eight, nine and ten will fluctuate,
but it'll it'll be the same fifteen schools every year.

Speaker 4 (27:40):
Yeah. Hey, we finally talked about football. We're getting there, people,
We are getting there, even though you know it's gonna
be hot again. Hey, we're gonna go to a quick break.
The bloom Daddy Experience, Sam and Otis News Radio eleven
seventy WWVA, seven fifty one. Welcome back to blim Daddy Experience,

(28:17):
Sam and Otis News Radio eleven seventy WWVA. On your
Thursday Morning Thursday top of the show, I said it
was Friday, it is Thursday.

Speaker 5 (28:28):
You tried.

Speaker 4 (28:28):
I tried just a couple of things. I wanted to
remind everybody of Saint Clairsville. You are under a boil
order if you live on Jefferson Moor or Broad Streets. Again,
a boil order if you live under on Jefferson Moor
or Broad Streets. The boil order is expected to last
until at least Friday afternoon. Also a reminder to drivers,

(28:52):
Blaine Bridge on forty is closed both directions. Let me
say that again, Blaine Bridge is closed in both directions.
Despite the closure, people are still trying to go up
and go down the bridge. It is closed.

Speaker 5 (29:09):
Stop. And I'm guessing the reason they haven't put the
concrete barriers in is it's because it's probably they probably
don't want to put those in because if there's an
ambulance or something emergency that they need access to that, yes, but.

Speaker 4 (29:22):
Other than that, stay off the bridge.

Speaker 5 (29:25):
I mean, come on, now, it's not that hard.

Speaker 4 (29:27):
It's not that hard. You don't want to get a ticket.
Don't make police have to sit there and ticket people
for something like this.

Speaker 5 (29:33):
Well, and then don't get into that situation where you're
going down the hill on a closed road and somebody's
coming up the hill on a closed roads and the
next thing you know, you guys hit each other or.

Speaker 4 (29:40):
You sit at a standoff. Yeah, that's that's silly. So
I want to bring an update. A couple months ago,
I brought to you that WV Medicine was looking to
purchase land and build a new hospital. In the Saint
Clair's Ville area. I now have a second source that
reached out to me confirming the location that I originally

(30:04):
brought to you a couple months ago. Now I have
been told, per this source, that they have purchased ninety
acres of property. And this property is in between the
relevant church and the gas station that is right up
above it. I believe it's a snoco. So again, well,
we're going to go right back to Blaine Bridge. If

(30:25):
you go west up Blaine Hill, that church, the relevant
church that I'm referring to, is on your right. It
sits back from the main road a little bit. There's
actually a big wooden ship jungle gym that's there for
the kids. So that is the church, and then the
snoco is right up above it. So I'm being told,

(30:46):
again confirmed by a second source, that ninety acres of
property have been bought in that vicinity by WVU Medicine
to build a new hospital. This is on top of
another new hospital that is already the ground is broken.
Structure is being built of Trinity, their hometown hospital that

(31:06):
they are building out near the West Plaza where Respects
is located in Saint Clairsville. So the Saint Clairsville, Ohio
side of the river. Belmont County area has not had
its own hospital, you know, there's been speculation for many
years that it was needed. Well, now two of our
medical providers here in the Upper Ohigh Valley to have

(31:29):
stepped up and they are both building something in Belmont County.

Speaker 5 (31:32):
Well, since Martin's Ferry Hospital in the Belair Hospital have closed,
then there's two that right, you know we're in the area.

Speaker 4 (31:38):
But always forget about Barnes Ferry.

Speaker 5 (31:39):
Yeah, they were, they were in Belmont County, you know,
and then I think that's it. I meanlle I was
gonna say Bellsville, but it's Barnesville.

Speaker 4 (31:47):
Yeah, Barnesville has one and that is a part of
WU Medicine.

Speaker 5 (31:50):
Now. Well, it's nice to see that Trinity is doing
something too, because you know, when you only have one brand,
that's not good. It's a monopoly and it's not good.
So it's always good to have a second outlet for
a second opinion for whatever you needed for or maybe
you just don't like one or the other, maybe you

(32:13):
had a bad experience.

Speaker 4 (32:15):
Well there's a lot of changes happening when you when
you speak of the medical here in the Ohio Valley.
I mean, it's it's not a secret that a lot
of people, when you speak to them, they say they
go out of the area for their their medical treatment.
It's been a it's kind of been a black mark
on the Ohio value is our medical care. And there

(32:35):
are two entities that are trying to grow and improve
the medical care that's offered here in the Ohio Valley.
Whether we're speaking Trinity or we're speaking WVU. I mean,
Trinity has just did a lot of growth in the
northern part in the Studentville weird In area. Then WVU
now is building the cancer They're tearing down a VMC,

(32:58):
They're building the cancer hospital here right here in downtown.
They're doing the children's hospital that's going to be over
at the Medical Park location. Now they're doing this in
Belmont County in Saint Clairsville. So, you know, will people
begin to will that Will that help dissipate the negative

(33:20):
reaction people have with medical care around here? Not sure,
but at least the strives are being made well.

Speaker 5 (33:27):
And let's not forget there are some there are some
procedures that you just can't get done here in the valley.
I mean, if you need a kidney transplant, you're not
getting it done here because they don't do it. You know,
you have to either go to Morgantown or Pittsburgh or
Cleveland or somebody like that, someplace like that, because there's
certain things that just aren't offered here.

Speaker 4 (33:44):
Right, right. But the growth is good.

Speaker 5 (33:50):
Competition is good.

Speaker 4 (33:51):
Yes that, Yes, you're exactly right, and.

Speaker 5 (33:53):
People don't realize that. I mean, people go into businesses
for themselves and they hate they want to be the
they want to be the king of the h Well,
that's great, but sometimes it's good to have competition because
that forces you to be better.

Speaker 4 (34:05):
Oh absolutely, absolutely, especially when it comes to healthcare, in anything, well,
in anything, but especially in healthcare. So again, just to reiterate,
tell you what I said earlier, ninety acres of property
purchased by WV Medicine in Belmont County, right at the
top of Blaine Hill on forty Now, living in that area,

(34:28):
I will say, I sure as heck, hope they work
with the exit rams and deal with the traffic pattern
right there, because it's not good already. If you throw
this into the mix, oh my goodness, it could be
a cluster you know what well.

Speaker 5 (34:43):
I mean if you look at Wheeling Hospital where it
is now, I mean off a Mount Deshana Road there
and Washington Avenue in I seventy. Not the greatest interchange,
you know, traffic wise, right.

Speaker 4 (34:55):
Right, So as more information comes about that, I will
of course ask that along. Hey, we're gonna go to
a quick break. When we get back, bloom Daddy is
back talking about the Waltz Pick. If you have thoughts,
give us a call one six two for eleven seventy,
or of course you can text us three zero three

(35:15):
eight two. Start it off with the Bloomdaddy, The bloom
Daddy Experience Otis and Sam News Radio eleven seventy WWVA z.

Speaker 1 (35:33):
Number one talk show in the Ohio Valley. This is
the bloom Daddy Experience. Your host, bloom Daddy. His goal inform,
entertain and tick people off. The bloom Daddy Experience on
news radio eleven seventy.

Speaker 3 (35:48):
WWVA starts now.

Speaker 2 (35:52):
News Radio eleven seventy. It's the bloom Daddy Experience. Hey,
it's a six, let's get this hour rolling. Hey, it's
Bloomdaddy here on a Thursday morning. I hope everything is
going well for you. We're gonna get to Sam and
Otis in just a second. But I've received a number
of emails bloom Daddy and iHeartMedia dot Com asking me
to comment or what is my opinion on Vice President

(36:12):
Kamala Harris's VP pick. I'll put it to you simply.
I think it's a great pick for the Republican Party.

Speaker 3 (36:19):
Like when I.

Speaker 2 (36:20):
Saw she made that pick, I jumped up and started
doing cartwheels, handstands.

Speaker 3 (36:25):
I mean, you name it.

Speaker 2 (36:27):
As bad as I believe jd Vance's pick was is
Trump's VP, this one is just as bad, if not worse,
And I think it gives momentum back to the Republican
Party because.

Speaker 3 (36:38):
I'm not gonna lie.

Speaker 2 (36:39):
I think if she picks Josh Shapiro from Pennsylvania might
have been a game changer, might have been game over
because I'm real nervous about this election. But the fact
that she didn't and she went with this dud for
Minnesota slam dunk for the Republican Party. Look, this guy
is the face of COVID overreaction. This guy is the

(36:59):
face of el riding and defund the police. He gives
Republicans a ton of ammunition to use against this ticket.

Speaker 3 (37:08):
And let's take a look at the flip side here.

Speaker 2 (37:10):
You know how Democrats like to say Trump's got an
ego and he's a narcissist.

Speaker 3 (37:14):
Which I'm not going to say he's not.

Speaker 2 (37:16):
Think about Kamala Harris here for a second word, is
she did not pick Josh Shapiro for two reasons. Number one,
she's obviously placating to the jew haters and her party.

Speaker 3 (37:25):
But number two, she didn't want to be upstaged by him.

Speaker 2 (37:29):
There were people around her and her who felt that
he would steal her thunder that she would be overshadowed
by Shapiro.

Speaker 3 (37:37):
So what does that tell you about Kamala Harris's ego?
What does that tell you? Tells me a lot. She's
more important, tells.

Speaker 2 (37:45):
Me she's more important about worrying about herself than actually
winning the presidency of the United States of America. And
when you take a look at this race right now,
I think Donald Trump, if he does four things, he
will win. If he doesn't do these things, he will lose.
The four things number one, focus on the future. Tell

(38:07):
you what he's going to do for you in the
next four years. Don't rehash old stuff. Don't go back
to the twenty twenty election, don't call names, focus on
the future. That's the fourth most important thing. Number three
the southern border. She was an abject failure, as the
borders are, and she was the borders are, make no
mistake about it. Number two inflation, the economy. That's a

(38:32):
no brainer. Hit on prices, say look what it was
under me for four years, Look what it is under
Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. But the number one thing
that I think Donald Trump and JD. Vance need to
hammer home is take a look around.

Speaker 3 (38:50):
Take a look.

Speaker 2 (38:51):
Around at what's going on in the world right now.
You've got Iran Hesbala Hamas ganging up on Israel. You
have Putin still at war with your You've got China
looking at Taiwan. You've got the guy in North Korea
who's going to be rattling change here sooner rather than later.
The question is World War three is knocking at the door.

(39:13):
Who do you want answering that door? Me or her?

Speaker 3 (39:18):
I think if he hammers that home over and over
and over.

Speaker 2 (39:23):
That specifically, but those four things, world War three is
knocking on the door. The inflation problem, the southern border,
and here's what I'm going to do for you the
next four years. I think Donald Trump wins the presidency
if he starts name calling, if he goes back to
the election was stolen from him in twenty twenty, if
he does the stuff that turns people off, he will

(39:45):
lose and we will have the most radical two idiots
in the White House that we have ever seen in
our entire lives. And Sam, when it comes to Trump
and staying on point and not name calling, I'm pretty
sure you're on the same as I am.

Speaker 4 (40:01):
I am on the same page. And I said this
during the RNC that you know, his demeanor, his delivery
there was the way he needs to be. He was
very astute, he was very above board, He was very presidential.
He had an aura of leadership to him. But when
he does the name calling, when he reverts back to

(40:24):
the election was stolen in twenty twenty, whether you agree
or disagree, it's not a good look for him. Needs
to move on. He in dvance need to tell the
American people what they will do to make this country better,
how to bring it back from the brink of I

(40:45):
hate to say, destruction of where we are right now,
the economy is terrible, the border's terrible. We all know
the issues that the country is dealing with, and that's
the message they need to deliver, and not just say
you're going to do it. You need to give explanations
of how you're going to do it. Because Harris is

(41:06):
not explaining anything, and now with Waltz, they're not. They're
marching across this country as if they're on a concert
media tour the opening for a film. Like I said yesterday,
because it is now eighteen days since Harris has spoken
to the media, since she has taken questions from the media,

(41:30):
and this entire time period is since she was put
forth as the Democratic leader to take over for Biden
on the ticket, and then of course now she has
the official nomination. So this is going on for eighteen
days that she is not answering any questions. Explain why

(41:50):
you chose Waltz as you're running mate, you know you
would think you would want to can't. She can't.

Speaker 5 (41:57):
And the reason she chose Waltz is because she couldn't
choose Shapiro because of being Jewish, and then she would
she would totally take off the far left. That's the
the the anti Semites.

Speaker 4 (42:08):
Well, and take into consideration it was just announced this
morning that Trump is going to be speaking and doing
an interview in Florida where he will be taking questions.
Also take into account about a week ago he spoke
at the nab which is the National Association of Black
Journalist convention. And if you saw any of that, the
first question, I forget who the journalist was that sat

(42:30):
down with him was so rude. It was so rude.
Whether you're going to whether you agree with a candidate
or not, professionally, as a journalist, you have to approach
them respectfully.

Speaker 5 (42:46):
You just say such a thing. They aren't journalists. She's
not that those people weren't journalists or she wasn't.

Speaker 4 (42:50):
But my point to him speaking or going to the
nab BJ is the fact that he knew he was
probably walking into a very contentious situation. But he's out
on the campaign trail. He wants to speak to everybody,
he wants to answer people's questions. He's doing it, Harris
is not plain and simple. Not And then you take

(43:10):
into account who she has brought onto her ticket. Waltz,
I've gone over the extremity, the extremes that this man
stands for and they're off the charts. So when you
are hearing people say that this is the most extreme
left ticket running for the White House we have ever seen,

(43:34):
they are a hundred percent correct. And that's what people
need to focus upon. And exactly like Blue Daddy said,
and I said this last week, I believe kind of
the same scenario. We're not just talking about within our
border issues. We're not just you know, when you're voting

(43:56):
for a president, we're not talking about just things that
are affecting elements happening in the United States. You have
got to take into consideration who you want representing and
having conversations with and negotiations with worldwide. Who do you
want to be the leader in the face of the

(44:19):
free world and have conversations with world leaders. To me,
it's not the cackling Kamala because what is she gonna
do just sit there and giggle.

Speaker 5 (44:34):
With putin that she's a sociopath.

Speaker 4 (44:38):
Anyway, That's not who I want having these conversations with
world leaders.

Speaker 5 (44:44):
And the fact that she can't carry on a conversation
with world leaders, she can't carry on a conversation with anybody.

Speaker 4 (44:49):
No, But that's what people need to pay attention to
and consider when they're voting.

Speaker 5 (44:55):
But they won't. But they won't because people will vote
for her because one, she's a woman too, she's got
black ancestry in two because the three because they hate Trump.
That's the only reason she's given going to get any votes.
People that vote for her because she's a woman or
because she's black are absolutely the people that you don't
want voting.

Speaker 4 (45:14):
And unfortunately you can't shouldn't vote. Unfortunately, you can't fix stupid.
I mean, I hate to say it that way, but
we can't. Oh, don't forget text line three es there
are three eight two. Give us your thoughts. Do you
think Walts is a good pick? Do you agree with me?
Do you agree with Harris? Threes are three A two?
Started off with bloom Daddy, We get back. I have

(45:38):
a complaint and it has to do with the roads.
Bloom Daddy Experienced OTIS and Sam News Radio eleven seventy
w w v A Welcome back to the bloem Daddy

(46:10):
Experience OTIS and Sam News Radio eleven seventy WWVA. Hey
before it's uh official pickleball day, f yi is it
just popped up on the TV. It's National Pickleball Day.

Speaker 5 (46:23):
Okay, then maybe we should go out and play some
pickleball today.

Speaker 4 (46:26):
Have you ever played pickleball?

Speaker 5 (46:27):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (46:28):
I did.

Speaker 5 (46:29):
I played it. I mean I've played it recreationally and
I played. I played it the Transplant Games two years ago.

Speaker 4 (46:34):
Really, Oh, my dad is obsessed with My.

Speaker 5 (46:36):
Partner was in Europe when when the Transplant Games went
down this year. So I didn't play this year?

Speaker 4 (46:41):
Ah No, my dad absolutely.

Speaker 5 (46:44):
I didn't say I was good.

Speaker 4 (46:45):
Loves it, loves it. Hey, just a quick update. Got
an email from Donna. This goes back to our conversation
earlier about the the hospital situation here in the High Valley.
So initially I brought to you that you know, ninety
acres of property is purchased by w U Medicine. We
got into the conversation about medical care from Donna. She said,

(47:07):
please make the following correction. East O High Regional Hospital
in Martin's Ferry is open and functional functional. Did we
say it was closed?

Speaker 3 (47:14):
No.

Speaker 5 (47:14):
I didn't say it was closed, but I probably hinted that.
Oh okay, I mean I may have said. I didn't
realize that it was. I figured when OVMC closed that
that was a part of OVMC, so that may have
been my I didn't say it was closed, but I
also didn't say.

Speaker 4 (47:28):
It was that. Okay, yeah, our our apologies on that note.
It is open and functioning. And she did say she
just recently had two surgeries there and received excellent physician
and nursing care. So there's a little shout out to
East o High Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry. If we
did make it sound as if they were closed, our apologies.
That was not That was not the intent at all.

(47:50):
So you know, there are some times where otis I
don't know if this this has probably happened to you.
We'd both drive a lot for other jobs, a lot,
sometimes too much.

Speaker 5 (48:05):
Yeah, I mean I drive a lot period.

Speaker 4 (48:07):
Yeah. Okay, So yesterday I am coming down a hill
and as I'm coming down this hill, no, no, yes,
that road is closed. No, it was not that hill.
There's a gas station basically at the foot of this hill,
and I see this car and it's a Super ru

(48:30):
and I'm sitting there as I'm driving one She's gonna
pull out in front of me. I just for some reason,
I had this feeling she was going to pull out
in front of me. She literally pulled right out in
front of me. We were so close. I was so
close to her that we looked at each other, and

(48:51):
she still went. It's not as if she was a
shadow figure in her window. I could see her face
and she still pulled right out in front of me.
And when she pulled out in front of me, she
then decided to go about fifteen miles an hour. Nothing
irritates me more. And I don't know why I thought it,

(49:17):
and I just I just knew this person was going
to do this.

Speaker 5 (49:22):
It's well, it's like a sixth sense because here's what happens.
You'll see somebody at an intersection where they can pull
out into into you know, into moving traffic, and so
like I'll see them, and I'll be like two blocks away,
and there's nobody in front of me, and they sit there,
and they sit there, and they sit there, and then
all of a sudden, when you're like five hundred feet

(49:42):
away from them, they decide that they're gonna, oh, I've
got enough time, I'm gonna pull out now.

Speaker 3 (49:46):
And it's like.

Speaker 5 (49:49):
And then and then, like you said, if the speed
limit is twenty five, they go fifteen. And then they
then they get mad at you because all of a
sudden you're on their rear end, you know what I mean.
And you don't have a choice because they just pulled
out in front of you. Now you can hit your brakes,
but you're going twenty five thirty miles an hour and
they pull out and all of a sudden, like and

(50:09):
then you know, you kind of let them pick up
their speed, but for like maybe one hundred yards or better,
you're like right on there, we're in. And then they
get they flip you the bird and everything else.

Speaker 4 (50:18):
And it's not even as if I was going fast
down the hill like where she where. She was like,
you know, I'm gonna do it. I've got to do it.
I've got you know, I've got to jump out. I wasn't.
I was maybe going thirty five forty.

Speaker 5 (50:30):
I could do a whole show on driving it away.
And there's certain things that I'm guilty of, I will
say that, but there's certainly two. There are certain things
that just totally irritate me. And if I was a cop,
I would be I would like I would have to
go through a ticket book every other week.

Speaker 4 (50:47):
Well, it took everything I had to not just lay
on the horn because I was already a little bit
in a grouchy I was angry. I'll be blatantly honest,
I was angry. So it took everything I had not
to lay on the horn. So then I decide a
couple hours later, I'm going to stop and get gas.

(51:09):
And I stopped, and as I am pulling in to
the pump, here comes another car. What wasn't a car
was a smaller truck, and he decided his tank was
on the opposite of my tank. So we were both
going for the same pump, but I was there first.

(51:35):
He gunned it. He gunned it to get to the
pump instead of me, say, basically cut in line. So
I ended up having to back up, turn around, go
back out the one side of the gas station, back
out onto the main road, go up and around and

(51:57):
cross to so that the the side of my tank
was at the pump. You know, the whole thing. After that,
and I filled up my tank, I thought, you know what,
I'm done. I'm done. I'm going home before I have
road rage and I strangle somebody because I thought, you know,
is there something today that just says annoy that you

(52:20):
know what out of me. It was just so annoying
and so frustrating yesterday that I wanted to just scream. So,
you know, sometimes you just have to throw your hands
in the air and say, you know what, world karma,
whatever you want to call it, you win. I'm going
to go home to my safe space and just stay

(52:43):
away from public because that's where I need to be
before an ugly side of me comes out. I know
I'm not the only one. I know I'm not the
only one. Oh, Otis, Otis, Otis, We're gonna go to

(53:03):
a break of course, the bloom Daddy Experience, Otison, Sam
News Radio eleven seventy WWVA, eight thirty six on your

(53:32):
Thursday Morning, The bloom Daddy Experience Otis and SAM News
Radio eleven seventy WWVA. So before the break, was talking
about a couple auto incidents I got to experience yesterday
that put me in a foul mood. Got an email
from listener Randy that said, you should have told that
guy off who pulled in front of you at the
gas pump. It's never wrong to stand up for yourself.

(53:55):
That's why good people like you have an ugly sign.

Speaker 5 (53:59):
I will say this. I was at a I was
at a pretty popular gas station and as I'm waiting
because the pumps were full, so I'm waiting to pull
into the one pump and I'm kind of stayed, staying
back so that the person can pull out, right, you
know what I mean. And so just as that person
pulls out, this girl in this jacket up, she starts

(54:22):
to cut in front of me. Well, I honked my
horn at her, and she goes like, she throws her
hands up, like what, And I said, you think I'm
just sitting here looking pretty, I'm waiting for a pump
to open up, and I said you can. I said,
if I have to wait my turn, you can wait
your turn. And she's like, well, I don't know why
you're getting all upset. I didn't know you were waiting
in line. I said, well, what do you think I'm
sitting here for. I said, you think I'm sitting here

(54:44):
on my phone. I'm sitting here, We're talking and I'm
looking waiting for the person to leave the gas pump,
and yet you swoop right in. And if I I've
never hit a girl, but I could come close because
she was. She was one of the ones that kind
of gets like she didn't get out of neither of
I just got out of our car other than to
pump the gas. But you know, she she she kind
of gets you know. She had the nose rings and

(55:07):
the face piercenes, and she had the purple hair, and
and like she she was. She just was mouthus yeah, smart,
like yeah, I was gonna say something else, but yeah
she got Yes, she got a little mouthed.

Speaker 4 (55:19):
Well in that kind I mean. So that's an example.

Speaker 5 (55:22):
And the first thing I thought of, she's voting for
Joe Biden. That was when he was still in the race.
That was the first thing I thought of.

Speaker 4 (55:30):
Again, you can't fix stupid. It seems to be a
theme on today's show, but I think it kind of
goes to the conversation of respect and just being kind
and and welcoming to to your fellow person. You know,

(55:50):
if somebody's sitting there waiting in line, you don't just
slide right in, you know. But but to to confront
somebody in this day and age, you don't know what
repercussions you could face. Unfortunately, that's the world we're living in.
So sometimes it's better to just keep your mouth shut

(56:12):
and walk away, which you know, Randy the listener, I
kind of agree with you that I should have said,
you know, listen, dude, I was here you basically cut
in front of me. But then in the back of
my mind, I'm thinking, you know, is it worth it?
Is it worth it? But that's kind of the decisions

(56:34):
that we face in confrontational situations because again, you don't
know that person, you don't know what the reaction is
gonna be, and it goes back to is it worth it?
I don't know, I don't know, I don't know. But

(56:55):
after all of that, yesterday I decided to post a
picture on our social media showed it to otis this morning,
had a couple people mentioned on there bloom Daddy in
a dress. It's not that's me, people, That is not
bloom Daddy. That is me. Because my parents decided to

(57:16):
clean out the garage and stuff was then dropped off
at my house, one of those being a full size
picture of me as a baby, and I put on there,
what do you do with this stuff? What do I
do with this stuff? Now I've got this stuff, what
do I do with it? I'm not gonna hang a
picture of myself as an infant on my own wall.

Speaker 3 (57:37):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (57:38):
I don't know. Why not find one of your husband
and you put them next to each other and then
it's you and him as babies.

Speaker 4 (57:48):
Now why not?

Speaker 3 (57:49):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (57:51):
I don't know. But to everybody who thought that was
bloom Daddy in a little yellow dress, it's not. It's me. Duh.

Speaker 5 (57:56):
So I have a question for you.

Speaker 4 (57:57):
Uh huh.

Speaker 5 (57:58):
So, as I'm getting ready to come in this morning,
I'm watching a little bit of the Olympics, because the
Olympics are alive at this time of day. Yes, and
so it was the four by one hundred meter women's qualifiers.
So I watched the USA race and they qualified, the
big deal. So the second heat is you know, I
forget who I was in. Great Britain's in there, the Netherlands, Canada, whatever.

(58:22):
So as I'm watching the ra I've got it on.
I'm not really watching this heat, but I watched the
end and I see that Great Britain comes in first.
I can't remember who comes in second and third. Anyway,
So I get down and I get some clothes out
of my my laundry room, and I'm coming back up
and as I'm getting dressed, I hear that two of
the teams, that the teams that finished second and third

(58:43):
were disqualified for whatever reason. I didn't catch the reason
why they were disqualified. So that meant that Canada and
the Netherlands, who finished fourth and fifth now qualify for
the finals of the four by one hundred meter and
they're celebrating like they won the race. And I'm thinking
to myself, you finished fourth and fifth and you didn't qualify,

(59:11):
but yet you're celebrating because you qualified on a technicality,
on a disqualification. Now I get the fact that you're
excited that you you get to run.

Speaker 4 (59:19):
Another race, but is it really satisfying?

Speaker 5 (59:23):
Yeah? I mean are you Are you satisfied? You guys
didn't run your best race and now all of a
sudden you're there because of disqualification.

Speaker 2 (59:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (59:32):
Like I think the over I think there was an
over celebrating how you know, I mean, I mean, like
if you want to give each other a couple of
high fives and say, you know, like, but I mean
you got to look at it and say, man, did
we get lucky?

Speaker 2 (59:43):
Right?

Speaker 5 (59:44):
You know I'm not I'm not going yeah yeah, you know,
with my arms throwing up in the air. And hugging
and jumping on each other.

Speaker 4 (59:50):
Well, because technically they didn't win there, their opponents lost
because they were.

Speaker 5 (59:57):
Well, their opponents got deq So I mean, they didn't lose,
but they got decued for you know, probably either handing
off outside of the area or whatever, or maybe they
crossed over the lane. I don't I didn't hear what
it was. But it's just why would you celebrate when
when you realistically you should you should be on your
way home, pack up, pack your bag and see you later.

Speaker 4 (01:00:19):
Well, it kind of goes to it's it's the same.
It's the same thinking of And I brought this up
when you're talking about the men fighting women in the boxing,
or men succeeding in weightlifting as disguised as women. How
is that satisfactory? How is that feelings?

Speaker 2 (01:00:38):
Right?

Speaker 5 (01:00:38):
I think it's a different I think you're comparing apples
and oranges there. Yeah, it's not. It's not really the
same because a disqualification because of a you know, something
that happened in the race isn't the same as you know,
celebrating because you're a dude.

Speaker 4 (01:00:52):
Well no, no, I'm not saying the technical side of that.
What I'm saying, is the feeling of accomplishment. That's that's
the comparison. And I'm making I.

Speaker 5 (01:01:00):
Still I still think it's a little bit different. But yeah,
I mean I can I can see your point. But
I think there's two I think there are two separate things.

Speaker 4 (01:01:08):
Yeah, okay, yeah, yes, and no, I guess I just
like I said, I.

Speaker 5 (01:01:12):
You going with it, but I don't. I don't think
it's you know what I mean. I think there's because
this is just like a moment thing, you know, whereas
with the boxers, they have to fight X amount of
people to get to the gold thing, and so are
you really accomplishing anything along the way? You know, you're
you should be expected to win if you're a dude
fighting chicks.

Speaker 4 (01:01:35):
I don't mean just the boxing thing, I mean in general.

Speaker 5 (01:01:37):
I get there.

Speaker 4 (01:01:38):
I'm just saying, so, Okay, the Netherlands, is it the
same runner that you mentioned the other day? Now?

Speaker 5 (01:01:45):
And here was the thing before that, before the race though,
they were saying that the Netherlands didn't there was two
people that were there, two best one hundred meter people,
and they they weren't going to run the qualifying because
they said they wanted them to rest. You're running one
hundred meters for God's sake. I mean you're gonna have

(01:02:05):
a whole day to rest before the before the finals.
Any Like, you can't run one hundred meters two days
in a row.

Speaker 4 (01:02:11):
Yeah, but they do that in relay sports for everything.

Speaker 5 (01:02:14):
I mean swim just to me, like, but I mean,
are you gonna take a chance of not qualifying with
your best people?

Speaker 3 (01:02:20):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:02:21):
Yeah, I mean if if if I've got two races
to run, I want my two I want my four
best people running both races. But the Netherlands, the race
bol girl.

Speaker 4 (01:02:32):
Yeah, go listen to her talk. Find a video of her. Okay,
it's like Mickey Mouse inhaled helium. Okay, it's it's it's hilarious.
It's pretty good, right, it's pretty good.

Speaker 5 (01:02:44):
Hey.

Speaker 4 (01:02:44):
The Blue Ditty Experience, it's a forty five on your
Thursday morning. We'll be back a fifty one. The Blue

Jefferson Mao or broad Streets in Saint Clair'sville. You are
under a boil order and it is expected to last
into at least Friday after noon. Otis do you remember bubbles?

Speaker 5 (01:03:35):
Bubbles, the dog bubbles, the stripper bubbles that you blow?
I mean, what are you talking? What you gotta be
a little more specific.

Speaker 4 (01:03:40):
Bubbles. Michael Jackson's Chimpionzee.

Speaker 5 (01:03:43):
Okay, I remember of him. I never met him in.

Speaker 4 (01:03:45):
Personal It was his birthday this week.

Speaker 5 (01:03:47):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (01:03:48):
He's turned forty years old and lives in Florida. He's
retired to Florida.

Speaker 5 (01:03:51):
Great bubbles. Great for bubbles.

Speaker 4 (01:03:54):
The Jackson's estate funds his care at twenty five thousand
dollars a year. Not a bad deal for bubbles. The chimp,
I don't know, popped up on my feet. I thought
it'd happy birthday, bubbles. Here's a warning. So a dog
in Oklahoma unintentionally started a house fire after chewing on

(01:04:16):
a lithium ion battery. The fire was put out by
the fire department, and all the pets escaped the burning
home through a dog door. The owners also escaped without harm.
It's actually caught on a camera a security camera inside
the house. The dog is chewing on one of those
batteries and it just sparks, and it just catches the

(01:04:37):
rug on fire that he's laying on top of the dog,
and it just it goes. So a little bit of warning,
keep those types of batteries away from anything that can
chew on it. Man, that would that's oooh, that's bad.
That's bad. And then have you ever been asked this?
Otis a company in China has come under fire because

(01:05:02):
they are excluding job candidates based on their zodiac sign.
I know people when they introduce themselves or they'll ask people, so,
what's your zodiac sign? What's your says that, what's your sign?

Speaker 5 (01:05:17):
Are you in the seventies? I'm like, really, that's what
they Hey I'm Sam and I'm an Aquarius, or hey
I'm Otis and I'm a Sagittarius. Oh yeah, let's get it.
We make a great couple.

Speaker 4 (01:05:35):
Then, whenever I hear somebody say something about their sign,
I just I don't know. It makes me think, all right,
you're odd.

Speaker 5 (01:05:43):
So no, it's never come into my my vernacular vernacular
as a Now, as a kid, maybe I might have
done that just because that was what was popular, huh,
But as an adult, I've never said to anybody, Hey,
what's your sign?

Speaker 2 (01:06:00):
Son?

Speaker 4 (01:06:00):
Baby? Does it matter to you? I mean, is that anything?

Speaker 5 (01:06:04):
No? I mean like do you.

Speaker 4 (01:06:05):
Read your Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:06:08):
I used to read it for when we get it.
When I used to get a paper just for you know, giggles.

Speaker 4 (01:06:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:06:15):
But I mean I know people that read that then
they buy into it. I mean they're so broad. That's
what's funny about them. I mean, like like you're going
to meet somebody that's going to have an impact on
your life.

Speaker 4 (01:06:29):
Okay, you don't say yeah, yeah, yeah there. But there
are people that that they have their zodiac read once
a week or I mean they're obsessed with it, absolutely
obsessed with it.

Speaker 5 (01:06:45):
So why is this guy in China? Like what what's the.

Speaker 4 (01:06:49):
The company which they're not naming, asked those born in
the year of the Dog to not apply for open positions,
So if they were born in that time frame, they
didn't even want you to apply for a job. There.

Speaker 5 (01:07:05):
Wow, that's a little so that's a little bit different.
Maybe that's a little bit different. That's the Chinese zodiac thing,
where like every year is like a you know, you're
a rat or a dog or a dragon or something
chicken or yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:07:17):
Yeah, I wouldn't want to be born in the year
of the rat.

Speaker 5 (01:07:20):
What year were you born?

Speaker 4 (01:07:21):
What year was I born? Seventy eight?

Speaker 5 (01:07:24):
So you don't fall into the dog one? Neither do I?

Speaker 4 (01:07:26):
No, what year were you born?

Speaker 5 (01:07:29):
Sixty six?

Speaker 4 (01:07:30):
All right? Hold on, may look here.

Speaker 5 (01:07:33):
Oh so let's see. I'm trying to think if I
know anybody that was born in the year of the dog.
I do nod off the top of my head, because
the year of the dog is fifty eight, seventy eighty two,
ninety four in two thousand and six, see what mine is,
So the year of the dog should be coming up
pretty soon. I'm the year of the horse, which end?

(01:07:54):
What was your year sixty six?

Speaker 4 (01:07:57):
Sixty?

Speaker 5 (01:07:57):
I think I'm the monkey.

Speaker 4 (01:08:00):
Nope, you're the horse.

Speaker 5 (01:08:02):
Uh huh.

Speaker 4 (01:08:03):
That's why we get along so well. On the front,
you're the back.

Speaker 5 (01:08:07):
So you take my joke and turn it around on me.

Speaker 4 (01:08:09):
Yeah, yeah, exactly, we're above you're of the horse. Oh goodness.
So yeah, that's a little exclusionary by this company, and
in in China, I wish they would say.

Speaker 5 (01:08:21):
What the company, why the long face? You're the horse?

Speaker 3 (01:08:25):
Okay, mister ed.

Speaker 4 (01:08:32):
Okay, anyways, all right, let's end it with this Fort
Myers adult theme store called Tender Moments.

Speaker 5 (01:08:42):
Tender Moments, we don't have any chicky chick music.

Speaker 4 (01:08:46):
Wow Wow is on the lookout for a burglar who
made off with a thousand dollars in product intimate intimate products,
all right. According to the shop's owner, a man wearing
a mask smashed the store's window. This happened on Monday
night and left with a doll I can't even say it.

Speaker 5 (01:09:11):
Let's let's put it this way. A mail pleasure.

Speaker 4 (01:09:14):
Toy, yes, and mail enhancement pills, among other items. Money
was not taken, Okay. The owner is offering a fifteen
hundred dollars reward for any tips that lead to an arrest.

Speaker 5 (01:09:28):
So you had one thousand dollars worth of merchandise stolen,
and you're offering a fifteen hundred dollars reward. Now, your
insurance is probably gonna cover everything that was lost and
the broken window. You probably have a deductible, So I'm guessing,
well and so and then you're gonna pay fifteen hundred
dollars on top of that.

Speaker 4 (01:09:48):
Yeah, that doesn't make any sense for that where you.

Speaker 5 (01:09:50):
Lose one thousand dollars. So I mean, let's say so
let's just say the window. We'll say the window is
one thousand bucks too, So you two thousand dollars worth
of product you're deductible's five hundred dollars and you're gonna
give five fifty. So it's going to cost you the
two thousand dollars no matter what.

Speaker 4 (01:10:04):
But if you're the you're the the burglar.

Speaker 5 (01:10:08):
Burglar, I don't and we don't want the product back.
You can keep it, mister policeman.

Speaker 4 (01:10:17):
We do not need the return to items.

Speaker 5 (01:10:19):
It's in evidence right now and we can't unders we can't.
Why why everybody's going to the evidence room? Why is that?

Speaker 4 (01:10:26):
Oh you can keep that.

Speaker 5 (01:10:27):
The dollar looks like little Mary?

Speaker 4 (01:10:28):
But why didn't the burglar take the cash?

Speaker 5 (01:10:31):
Because he wasn't interested in the cash?

Speaker 4 (01:10:33):
Yeah, but still, I mean take the money. Who cares
about the hmmm, pleasure toys?

Speaker 5 (01:10:41):
Hey, when you're getting the milk for free, you don't
have to buy.

Speaker 4 (01:10:43):
It, no dune. Alright, all right, you're of the horse.
You're of the horse, are you ed? I'll be tricksy, hey, goodbye, goodbye,
