Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, good morning, thank you for kicking off the morning
with us. Of course you're listening to the bloom Daddy
Experience Sam and Otis News Radio eleven seventy WWVA. Well, folks,
it's been a week. And what am I talking about?
Of course, I am talking about the announcement of the
purchase of East Ohio Regional Hospital. Now, a lot of

(00:26):
people have been asking what happened to the interview on
Tuesday that we had arranged with mister Harold Ramsey, the purchaser.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
And I can honestly say this is what he said.
He answered the phone and is pretty close to exact
words were, Hey, I screwed up. I got the time
on my flight wrong. I am actually we are on
the tarmac and getting ready to take off, and he
basically hung up.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Yeah, So there's the overall of what happened. Now, since Tuesday,
we have not spoke about East Ohio, and that of
course has been one of the major topics last week
during the news cycle because it is a major topic.
But we stayed away because our interview was canceled. There's

(01:18):
more reasons to why I have stayed away, because Otis
and I have been looking into a lot of this.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
You've been like a rabbit dog guy here. Yes, I
have looked into a few things. You are like Kujoe.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
Yes. If you think ghosting me was going to keep
me from looking into things, I'm sorry to say that's
not the case. So before we get into all that,
I want to ask everybody a question out there. Now.
I have been I born and raised in the Ohio Valley.

(01:55):
I have lived here my entire life. I went to
West Liberty, that's about as far as I went away
from home. I love the Ohio Valley. Otis, you've been
here the majority of your life, born and raised.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Four and a half years, actually five years in Morgantown,
So I mean other than that, that's I've been here
ever since.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
Yeah, why do I ask that? Why am I bringing
that up? Well, because for as long as I can remember,
in my adult life, there have been instances where there
are outside entities, investors that come into the Ohio Valley
and they make a big splash, right huge splash, where

(02:38):
they're gonna bring this and they're gonna bring all these
jobs and this is gonna be built, and the we
are sold a bill of goods. So if you think
back to some examples. I just got a few for you.
Everybody remember the amusement park that was gonna come to
the Highlands, the water park, water Park amusement park gonna

(02:58):
come to the Highlands. Then of course, most recently, and
if you've listened to this show Roxby Development, that was
another big plan. Indoor outdoor indoor football leagues. We've seen
those come and go through the years, and then of
course most recently Doc Johnson with the East of Higher

(03:19):
Regional Hospital and we all know how that ended. I'm
bringing this up because are we seeing it again with
the new purchase of East o Higher Regional Hospital. So
when the announcement was made on Monday on their Facebook page,

(03:40):
which immediately I thought was odd, my first instinct was, Okay,
this is good news, this is good news. But then
my skeptical sure kicked in a little bit of skepticism. Yes, yes,

(04:04):
there you go, my spidy senses, the red flags, you know,
flashing like crazy. So what is being what is skepticism?
So not being convinced that something is true? There's doubt, distrust, mistrust.
Now I'm going to I'm going to stop myself and

(04:26):
say I hate that there is that within me. But
again going back to what I just previously mentioned, we
have seen it time and time again, come here to
the High Valley. So I asked myself, and these are
the questions that need to be asked, and unfortunately they're

(04:47):
not being asked. Who is Harold Ramsey? Who is riving
Rising River Capital? Who is three sixty Healthcare Inc? In
the announcement Facebook page? That is there? That is there?

(05:07):
So simply all I did was Google search those two
company names. That's all I did. I went straight to
Google and checked out those names. Well, three sixty Healthcare Inc.
Does not have a website. Now there are similar named companies,

(05:31):
but not specifically that company.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
And I also did the Google search as well, tried
to dig in a little bit, tried to you know,
there were some other links like the LinkedIn that had
specific names and so on, and couldn't access them.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
No, So then I'm like, okay, let's look at Rising
River Capital. It has a website. Mister Harold Ramsey is
mentioned on the website. But when you look at the website,
which says copyrighted twenty twenty two, it is a very simplistic,
almost template of a website. So how I would explain

(06:09):
it is. If you were a graphic designer and you
were trying to get somebody to hire you to build
a website, you could use something like this to present
to somebody of what you could do.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
It's almost like a sample website.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
Yes, there you go, a template very basically yeah, okay, hey,
you click this, you click on it.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
So when you go to click on anything on his
website or that website, it doesn't take you anywhere.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
Now, it does not takes you to It is bare bones,
doesn't even describe what this is. So those two things
right there off the bat, again Spidey sense went off
like red flags, why are these things not being question?
And that's it? And again all I did was a
simple Google search. In the meantime, I continued calling the

(06:56):
phone number that was listed in the announcement. If you
were interested in an interview, call this number. And I called,
and I called, and I called. Finally, later on Monday,
I got a phone call back from mister Ramsey himself.
From there we arranged the interview that was supposed to
happen Tuesday morning. That did not happen. Once the interview

(07:23):
did not happen, how did you describe me Otis earlier
a rabbit dog.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
Oh yeah, and you were not happy. I was not happy,
for lack of a better term, you were peed off.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
There you go. Yeah, yeah, was not happy. Now, whether
the interview had happened or not, I will say this,
I would have looked into things. I would not have
not done what I have done along with myself, I
have many sources, many many sources that have reached out

(07:59):
from that has reached out to me with much information,
and we are just at the tip of the iceberg,
as they say, with this, So we've got more. We're
gonna jump to a quick break because, as I said,
we're not done. The Spidey sense, the alarms all have
gone off, and we're gonna talk about more of it

(08:21):
here when we get back. Because we're not the only
ones who have been ghosted folks, Otis, we didn't. We're
not the only ones that have been stood up either.
So we're gonna continue this conversation right after the break.
You're listening to the Bloomdaddy Experience Sam and Otis News
Radio eleven seventy WWVA. Welcome back. We are in the

(08:54):
midst of talking about the new East o High Regional
hospital and the owner. So I mentioned last and before
the break red flags Spidey sense first signifiers to me,
ODIs agrees the website situation. Second thing that really got
me questioning things. I actually spoke to mister Ramsey himself

(09:20):
to arrange the interview that we were supposed to have
last Tuesday morning. One thing was midway on Monday, prior
to me speaking to him, there was another post announcing
that he was going to be in Martin's Ferry Tuesday
and that the press was invited to come to the

(09:42):
hospital and meet with him, sort of like a Q
and a if you will. So while one thing caught
my attention though, on that post, there were no times.
So if you're going to invite the media to meet you,
speak to you, hear the plans of your intentions with
buying this hospital, you need to give us times. So

(10:06):
I took the opportunity when I was speaking to him
to arrange the interview and let him know I don't
know who's handling your posts on Facebook, but there's no
times for the media to know when we could be there.
Oh okay, that was the basically the response that I got,

(10:26):
so to me right there was another red flag and
really caught my attention. So, as I was planning Tuesday
night for the interview, I posted on our Facebook page
to you, our listeners, what questions do you have? And

(10:47):
of course I had my own questions because I wanted
the opportunity for mister Ramsey to squash the skepticism. Squash
my skeptics, yours answer the questions. So I'm going to
give you a few of the examples of the questions
that I was going to ask. Now, listen, this is

(11:08):
not was not planned on being a softball interview. I
was going to ask the questions that you the listener
want answers to. My first question was going to be,
you know, what experience in the medical world do you have?
What experience do you have at running a hospital, running
a doctor's office? What is your experience in the medical world.

(11:32):
I was also going to ask about the websites. You know,
can you explain why there isn't a website for three
sixty Healthcare, Inc? Why Rising Rivers website is the way
that it is. I was also going to ask, you know,
what are your intentions with this hospital? Are they good intentions?

(11:52):
I was going to explain the background of how the
High Valley has been taken advantage of. Let him answer
that questionquestion I was going to ask about the reimbursement
to the employees. That's the number one topic that needs
to be answered for those employees from nurses to janitors,
to doctors and everybody in between who were not paid.

(12:15):
What was he going to do to make this situation right?
Because doctor Johnson left everybody holding the bag, and I
wanted to know his intentions to build up the trust
for employees. Transparency, that is one thing under prior ownership

(12:36):
and prior leadership. I'm gonna put it more on the
leadership transparency now. I've been told by multiple sources that
one name that is going to remain at the hospital,
Julie Ross, is going to remain right which, by the way,
if that name is not familiar with you, this is
the person who sat back and watched as the facility

(13:03):
crumbled to its knees. I've also been told by multiple
sources she has remained employed there since March in collecting
a paycheck. Nobody else has so for their new ownership,
Mister Ramsey, why because you hear about corporate buyouts, you
hear about new ownership coming in. The first thing they
do nine times out of ten is they get rid

(13:26):
of the leadership. They get rid of those top level positions.
From what I've been told again from multiple sources, this
is not the plan with East Ohio. The plan is
to keep on Julie Ross for former employees who begged

(13:47):
to find out what was going on with their paychecks
six months ago, this is the person they were trying
to get answers from and was not so. Again to
mister Ramsey, transparency is one of the major things that
really needs to be a part of the plan. But
along with that, you know, there's again, I have a

(14:12):
lot of information coming at me from a lot of
different sources, and these are good, good sources. But another
thing that really set off my spider sense all of
the Facebook posts, they're all positive that it's sharing of
the positive stories done by other local media outlets. It's

(14:34):
all these warm and fuzzies, warm and fuzzies. No comments
on none of these posts, whether it's the shared posts
or their posts of the announcement of the purchase of
the hospital. You can't comment. You can't ask a question

(14:55):
to me that makes me stop and ask why, why?
Why are things being hidden. Where is the transparency? Once again,
nobody except for a small handful, saw mister Ramsey on

(15:17):
Tuesday when the media was invited. There was a story
on WTRF where it was a phone interview and it
was a still picture of an old school telephone as
mister Ramsey was speaking. So if there was a press
event on Tuesday that the media was welcome to, why
is there no video? Now I'm not saying mister Ramsey's

(15:38):
not real, I'm not saying that, But when there's no visuals,
when there's no face to face, when there is no
hard hitting questions from our quote unquote media, and I'm
going to get into that, there's going to be doubt,
there's going to be skepticism. And that is just an

(16:00):
another example of red flags that has been weaved throughout
all of last week, all of last week. But again
I'm not done because we've got to ask mister Ramsey again,
what is your medical experience? What is your past experience?

(16:21):
And I've got something on that coming up next because
again Google was ow an amazing, amazing piece of equipment
and it's free. Stick with us. You're listening to the
bloom Daddy experience Sam and Otis News Radio eleven seventy WWVA.

(16:43):
Welcome back. We are gonna dive right back into the
conversation about east O Higher Regional Hospital. What I've been
hearing from sources, what we have been able to dig
up ourselves, and between ourselves Otis and our sources that
have been reaching out to us non stop since this
announcement last Monday. The biggest question is the intentions. What

(17:07):
are the intentions of mister Ramsey, the two businesses that
are involved with the purchase of the hospital that that
that is the main question that people want answers to.
And I don't think that's wrong to ask no.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
And I think with some of the research that you've done,
you know, I I have overheard some of your conversations,
not not in depth, but I've heard a few questions
here and there. Again, you've been on this like a
rabid doll and I commend you for that, and because
I think you're doing our listeners in this valley a

(17:44):
huge service. And but from what I've what i'm hearing,
what I've seen from your notes, what I've seen on
my own, I'm not seeing like a major change coming
Just to me, there are tons of red flags around this,
and I'll let you dive more into that.

Speaker 1 (18:06):
But well, and that's one thing I'm glad you just
sparked something in my memory. That is another question I
was going to have for mister Ramsey if he would
not have ghosted us on Tuesday for the interview. I
was going to ask him if he has any connections,
whether directly or in a roundabout way, to doctor Johnson,
his son, or anybody else involved in the former ownership

(18:30):
of the hospital. That is another major question that needs
to be addressed. Is there any connection to doctor Johnson
because that man in his wake has left a lot
of destroyed people here in the High Valley financially and emotionally.
So that was another question I was going to address.

Speaker 2 (18:49):
And while we both were trying to find information on
mister Ramsey, you know there are some red flags under
his name as well, and I'll let you dive into that.

Speaker 1 (19:00):
Yes, and again I'm going to preface this with this,
I am not the only one that has got this information.
My sources has provided me. I've had four sources provide
me with this report along with myself finding it. And
how did I find it? Once again, simply Google. That's it.

(19:23):
So what I found is called a funeral report. FINRA.
Now you're gonna ask yourself what is that? Well, what
that is. It's a financial industry regulatory authority. So it's
an organization which is non government that regulates brokerage firms

(19:44):
and brokers who sell here in the United States. It's
not for profit. It's a self regulatory body overseen by
the SEC What their main goal is to protect investors
and maintain the integrity of the securities market. It oversees
the activities of all registered broker dealer firms and brokers,

(20:07):
so it's the oversight committee, if you will, for those
in the broker world. In the investment world. As soon
as I googled mister Ramsey's name, his report came up. Now,
I'm going to be upfront with you, this is not
a report I'm familiar with on how to read. Okay.

(20:28):
I reached out to a couple people I know that
are in that world. They gave me kind of a
brief overview. So it's basically a report card for a
broker for an investor. The first two things that really
caught my attention with mister Ramsey from two thousand and
six to twenty twenty two he was registered as a
broker under twelve different firms. To me, that does not

(20:55):
really highlight a very good track record. The most I
think it was three years. Looking at that document that
he remained at one location. There are things on there
about disputes. There are things on there about license being
taken away. So if you want to dig into that report,

(21:18):
it is out there for you to look at. I'm
not going to go into the weeds with it. I'm
gonna put that in your hands again. It is FI
n R A and it is a simple simple Google search.
That's all you have to do. That's it. That's all
you have to do, and you can see the track

(21:40):
record as an investor or broker that mister Ramsey has.
It's all you have to do.

Speaker 2 (21:48):
Well. In one of the other sort the things that
one of your other sources was telling you was about
the debts of the hospital and how they need to
be taken care of before anything can happen.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
One the first thing that things that we've been told
needs to be taken care of is turning on the power,
which as of yet has not happened. Think about everything
in a hospital facility. If the power is not on,
you can't do anything. And that goes down to the
basics of keeping medicine cold in the pharmacy. From what

(22:22):
I have been told by multiple sources, the state of
that hospital when it comes to licensures, when it comes
to insurance, when it comes to the physical building itself,
you might as well be starting a hospital from scratch.
From scratch, things like the license for the elevators, all
of those inspections need to be done. The power needs

(22:43):
it to be turned back on to the entire facility. So, folks,
this is not If this opens the first of September,
I'm buying myself a lottery ticket because from everything that
I've been told by many sources, the chances of that
going to happen again. I know I sound like a skeptic,
but I'm trying to be realistic.

Speaker 2 (23:04):
People.

Speaker 1 (23:05):
Are we seeing an entire smoke and mirror show? Is
this a dog another dog and pony show that has
come here to the High Valley now? And I will
say I have listened to the other interviews that mister
Ramsey has done. Sounds like a nice guy, But one
thing that really caught my attention was the fact the

(23:28):
words that he used, is he gaslighting us? He's a
word throwing around world, words like oncology and Martin's Fairy
cardiology in Martin's Fairy. Is he gaslighting us? That's my
question because that's what happens. Big words, fancy words, big
dollar numbers thrown around here in the High Valley, and

(23:50):
it builds up our hopes, it builds up our excitement.
We're waiting for that thing that really reignites the spark
here in the Ohio Valley, and we have seen them
come and go through the decades, and we have fallen
time and time again for the dog and pony shows,

(24:11):
the big words, the excitement, the hope, and we have
yet to see it be successful. So that is my
question with this entire thing is who is mister Ramsey,
Who is River Rising, River Capital? And who is three
sixty Healthcare Inc? And is this another dog and pony show?

(24:33):
Or are the intentions good and we are finally going
to see success in promises that will be upheld that
have been made to us here in the Ohio Valley.
Those are my questions. What a Monday we're having? What
a Monday otis we are having? And I've just scratched

(24:54):
the just scratched the surface.

Speaker 2 (24:56):
I mean, there is so much more, and I mean
I'm surprised that you know that you get all this
ins already, but you know, I mean, we could keep going.
But there's other things we need to get to.

Speaker 3 (25:07):
We do.

Speaker 1 (25:07):
We're gonna get to those. We're gonna get to those.
But later on the show, I want to talk to
the local media. I have something to say to them too.
You're listening to The bloo Daddy Experience, samon Otis News
Radio eleven seventy WWVA. Welcome back. It's seven fifty The

(25:30):
bloom Daddy Experience, samon Otis News Radio, eleven seventy WWVA.
First half of the show's been uh, it's been a lot,
a lot to take here.

Speaker 2 (25:40):
There's three quarters.

Speaker 1 (25:41):
Yeah yeah, first half yeah yeah, not half yeah. So
after all of that, if you have some thoughts, of
course we welcome them. One eight hundred and sixty two
four eleven seventy of course you can go to our
text line seven zero four seven zero. Started off with
bloom Daddy, leave your message your thoughts there again, started

(26:04):
off with the bloom Daddy seven zero four seven zero
is the number, and then of course it's on all
you can reach us on our Facebook page. So we're
gonna kind of I want to take a break from that,
take a little bit of a break from that talk
otis I think.

Speaker 2 (26:20):
I mean it was pretty heavy there for yeah, you know, yeah,
thirty five minutes or so.

Speaker 1 (26:25):
We'll let all of that sink in. How about that,
We'll we'll let all of that sink in. So how
about a little bit of fun talk. You went to
Pirates game?

Speaker 2 (26:34):
Yeah, went to Pirates game with a couple of friends yesterday.

Speaker 1 (26:37):
And you got to see the sweep.

Speaker 2 (26:39):
The finish didn't take the broom with us, but we
came out of the Pirates outscored the Mets. I think
it was thirty to four in three games. I mean,
just playing some good baseball, getting some run support, that's
for sure. And I think the Mets have won one
or two games since.

Speaker 1 (26:56):
They That's what I was going to bring up.

Speaker 2 (26:57):
Did the national anthem to the pride flag, So you know,
may want to rethink that for next year if you're
especially if you're a Mets fan. Yeah, but yeah, I
mean good time. I mean, it's always you know, it's
one of those things where when I go to the
when I go to a parate game, sometimes yeah, you
want to sit and watch the game a little bit,

(27:18):
but you also want to enjoy the atmosphere. And by
that I mean you people watch and and you know,
you interact with maybe some vendors or you know, just
you just you go and you just have a good time.
I mean, I think between the three of us, I
don't think I've ever laughed so hard. And one day.

Speaker 1 (27:38):
Then you had some good picks too.

Speaker 2 (27:41):
Oh we had some. You know, there was there was
some there were some good pictures and then you know,
I mean it was just just some of the topics
that I can't bring up on the radio. But between
the three of us, we just it was a great day.

Speaker 1 (27:56):
Well, going back to Friday, which if you tuned in
Friday kind of made a hard left into the word
of world of soap operas. I had no, no, no, we're not.
I'm just saying I had three neighbors come up to
me over the weekend and start through the sands through

(28:18):
the hour glass and I'm like okay, And then of
course it went into conversations about do you remember this,
do you remember that? And I'm like, oh my gosh.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
Okay, yeah, storylines, because that's what they are. They just
they never read out of storylines.

Speaker 1 (28:33):
It's just funny that that was in no way, shape
or frame plant on our account at all. And it's
funny how sometimes you strike on something that is you're
sitting there talking about it, You're thinking to you, I am,
at least thinking to myself, people probably could care less
about this right now.

Speaker 2 (28:50):
And then then when you get out and people come
up to you and they're like, yes, oh hey, just
like yes, I'll have that happen every once in a while,
especially like on a Thursday day Thursday nights, somebody will
come up to me and say, oh man, you had
that was funny what you said the other day, And
I'm like, I don't even remember what you're talking about. Yeah,
I mean, I'm not trying to listen. I mean, that's

(29:11):
what we're here for. We're here to entertain and have
some fun and you know, bring the information, do that stuff.
But sometimes they all run together and you just I can't.
I can't remember everything I say on this show, no,
unless it truly stands out, like if I've taken a
great shot at bloom Daddy. Then then that normally stands
out taking a shot at you. I mean that that

(29:34):
happened so often. They just I don't really remember a
but you know, so they just.

Speaker 1 (29:39):
All blown together. There's so many, that's right.

Speaker 2 (29:41):
Yeah, that's right.

Speaker 1 (29:42):
Yeah, you were talking talking about the Pirates game and
the Mets. Let's see here, since let's see, the Mets
are now one in ten. Now wait, no, that was
dated June twenty third. I'm trying to find the most
update from when twelfth loss in fifteen games.

Speaker 2 (29:59):
That was on June twenty, so yesterday was a twenty nine.

Speaker 1 (30:02):
So yeah, they are they are sinking. They are sinking
quickly after after that. Oh but other than that, yeah,
other than that, you had a good weekend, right.

Speaker 2 (30:14):
Oh yeah, I mean it wasn't bad. Yeah, a little
bit of work here and there, but you'll have that.

Speaker 1 (30:17):
Yeah, nothing nothing quite exciting. I will say this. I
don't know if anybody else feels this way. And we're
gonna get into this a little bit later. But sitting
down last night prepping for today and looking at some
stuff this morning, just going over you know, like the

(30:38):
weekend review type of thing. When it comes to the
news I was looking at the headlines through last week,
and we're all busy, you know, by the time Friday comes,
everybody feels exhausted, worn out, overloaded. But looking at the
headlines from last week, I have never felt so unaccomplished,

(31:02):
if that's even the right term, compared to what President
Trump was able to accomplish last last week. And as
I said, all I did was breeze through the headlines,
and we're going to get into those a little bit
later in the show. As I mentioned, but I felt
like such an underachiever looking at everything that he pulled

(31:26):
off last week with with the you know, the the
crescendo on Friday of the success at the Supreme Court
and the different rulings that came out on Friday in
favor of the Trump administration and let's be honest, in
favor of the entire Constitution. But yeah, I felt like

(31:47):
it a very large underachiever.

Speaker 2 (31:50):
Welcome to my world. I tried to that's what I achieved.
For under achieving, Well, I.

Speaker 1 (31:56):
Guess that's setting yourself up for success.

Speaker 2 (31:58):
At a time. You know, if you expect mediocrity, then
you don't have to worry about it. You don't have
to really you don't have to kill yourself. So you know,
I'll accept the mediocrity. I mean.

Speaker 1 (32:11):
Well, and if you listen, we accept it every day.

Speaker 2 (32:15):
You know. If you go, if you go above and beyond,
then they expect more from you.

Speaker 1 (32:20):
Oh yeah, So you don't want to you don't want
to give the employers too many, too high expectations out
of us.

Speaker 2 (32:26):
No wallow and mediocrity isn't. But where I'm going.

Speaker 1 (32:33):
To be well, you know he.

Speaker 2 (32:36):
And if I overachieve, I just don't advertise it.

Speaker 1 (32:38):
Well, they say to keep your stress levels, you know,
minimum for health reasons. So if you're not putting stress
on yourself to become a huge overachiever, then you're actually
doing your health a service.

Speaker 2 (32:53):
Sure, we'll go with that.

Speaker 1 (32:55):
You're putting yourself number one. Oh shoot again. If you
have any comments on the East Ohio Regional Hospital conversation
we had at the top of the show, please reach
out to us. You can email me Sam at iHeartMedia
dot com. You can go on our Facebook page, or
of course there is our text line seven zero four

(33:16):
seven zero. Start your message off with bloom Daddy and
then go for it. Leave us your message. We're just
getting this show started. It's seven fifty eight. Actually, no,
we're halfway through. I'm just kidding. Coming up next, what
gonna follow up? Oh, he's laughing at me. Great, who

(33:38):
knows why, I venture to guess. But coming up next,
we're going to get into a little bit of thoughts
I have on the local media when it comes to
is to hire a regional hospital. Stay tuned for that again.
Seven to fifty eight. You're listening to the bloom Daddy Experience.
Sam and otis News Radio eleven seventy wwvad.

Speaker 4 (34:01):
Number one Tuch show in the Ohio Alley. This is
the bloom Daddy Experience. Your host, bloom Daddy. His goal inform,
entertain and tick people off. The bloom Daddy Experience on
news Radio eleven seventy WWVA starts.

Speaker 1 (34:19):
Now eight six. Welcome back on this Monday, a holiday
week Monday. Hopefully everybody is looking forward to the fourth
of July. Early in the show, we talked about East
Higher Regional Hospital. A lot of the things that I
have been able to uncover, not only myself, but also

(34:42):
through multiple sources that have been reaching out to me. Now,
keep in mind, as I have said, and I'm going
to reiterate it again, the things that I found simply
through Google. It's all what simply through Google. And I'm
bringing that up again because looking into things, it really

(35:08):
highlighted to me the lack that we have here in
our local media. And I have heard bloom Daddy on
multiple occasions go after local media and I pay attention,
but I sort of don't pay attention. Let's put it

(35:28):
that way. But this is my first time, firsthand where
I realized because I will, I listened to everything. I
listened to the WTRF story, I listened to another radio interview,
story interview, not a story. I'm sorry, and the lack

(35:49):
luster attempt to really ask the hard questions that we
as the Ohio Valley need answer, deserve to have answered,
We're not there. When I think of the media, whether
it's on a local, regional, national level, the media is

(36:14):
a line of defense for the area that it covers.
And what do I mean by that? What I mean
is with this situation, as I started the top of
the show with, when outside entities come into an area,
whether it's our area or somewhere in I don't know, Utah, Minnesota, anywhere,

(36:39):
when outside entities come in and they buy up real
estate or they buy up a business. The media is
not there to just be a PR machine for the
new buyer or the new owner or the corporate takeover company.

(37:04):
That is not what the media is for. The media
should take the time and research, find out who this
person is, find out who this company is, and then
when they have the opportunity to speak to that person
or representative, you are prepared with the questions that the

(37:25):
locals want answered. And after what has been done allegedly
by doctor Johnson, former owner of East Ohio Regional Hospital,
at this point, as far as we know, he is
not involved. As I said, that's a question I would
have asked, is there in any way, shape or form

(37:46):
any connection between mister Ramsey and doctor Johnson former owner.
I would have asked that question. But that is what
the media is to do, ask the hard question that
the locals want answered, because a lot of folks don't

(38:09):
have the time like they rely on the media to
do that for them, and it's not being done. As
I said, the media here in the Ohio Valley, when
it comes to this kind of stuff, becomes a PR machine,
and you want to know why dollars. Bloom Daddy has
told you this, and I'm going to tell you also.

(38:31):
It comes down to advertising dollars. This is a very
small pot of dollars when it comes to advertising, and
everybody wants the bigger piece of the pie. So what
do you do. You give such and such business or

(38:55):
new flashy new toy that comes into the market. You
give them all of this positive coverage, all of this
supportive coverage, all of these softball questions. Let them go
around with their gaslighting words and fireworks and excitement and
prey on the hopes and dreams of people here in

(39:15):
the High Valley, and you give them the platform to
do it. That's the problem. That is where our media
drops the ball. There is no investigating, There is no
time or effort put into investigating asking the hard questions.

(39:39):
Again what I have done. Listen, folks, it's not groundbreaking,
it's not earth shattering. It was Google. It's on your phone.

Speaker 2 (39:59):
You know. The other thing we were talking about advertising dollars.
But the other thing is with the local media, they
softball and kiss hind end so that they can get
the stories allegedly first, instead of they want they want
what they're going to hand to them. It's it's instead
of doing research or going into this or going into that,

(40:22):
or calling out or questioning or anything like that, they
want to be able to say, oh, we were the
first to bring you this, we were the first to
do this. Well, but you're still not doing your job.

Speaker 1 (40:32):
And here's the thing, folks, this is not easy. This
job is not easy. And I am lucky enough, and
hopefully he doesn't hear this, I am lucky enough to
have been able to learn and listen behind somebody like
bloom Daddy. He has this ability to again ask the

(40:56):
hard questions and he understands whether you you love him
or you hate him, he's doing the job. And as
I said, I'm lucky enough to have learned by watching
and listening to him and having him to turn to
for advice. And one of the things he said to
me when I started doing this is you have got
to ask the hard questions and be prepared for the feedback.

(41:21):
And I am prepared for the feedback. But what I
care about the most is being, as I've said this
on multiple occasions, being a voice for those who don't
have a voice. And that's why when everything initially started
with East Ohio and folks were not getting their paycheck.
That's why I sunk my teeth into this, because these

(41:41):
are our friends and neighbors, and if they feel they
don't have an outlet to be heard, that's why I
took it upon myself to really be a voice for
those folks. Nobody wants to feel that way. And when

(42:05):
you do the job, you should be paid. You should
be paid. And they're still waiting to be paid. And
now we go jump forward three four months. Now we're
in this scenario where nobody is asking who is Harold Ramsey.

(42:26):
Nobody's asking who this guy is. He was perfectly polite
with me on the phone. He was polite with Otis
on the phone. But I will tell you this, I
have called probably three to five times since last Tuesday
to reschedule the interview with no returned phone call whatsoever.

(42:51):
And listen, I am not doing this because we were
stood up for the interview. That is not the point
of this. The point of this is to get as
much information out to folks as we can as we can.
And by the way, I'm not doing pr for the
new ownership, which according to multiple sources, there is another

(43:12):
person that is doing.

Speaker 2 (43:14):
That in the local media.

Speaker 1 (43:17):
In the local media, yes, I'm sorry, I didn't put
that out there properly. Yes, according to multiple sources, I
have been told that. So again, this is not because
the interview was canceled. I think it was canceled on
purpose because he was given a heads up that the
questions were going to be tough. But in general, to

(43:39):
the High Valley media, step up and ask the hard
questions that our residents deserve answers to, because we are
tired of being taken advantage of by people who come
in and once again throw around big fancy words and
huge dollar amounts and promises of jobs and promises of
this and promises of that, and they never happen.

Speaker 5 (44:04):
Ever.

Speaker 1 (44:05):
Tired of being preyed upon, Tired of our hopes and
dreams being stomped upon by outside entities that have gotten
away with it for decades, decades. It's eight sixteen. You're
listening to the bloom Daddy Experience, samon Otis News Radio
eleven seventy WWVA.

Speaker 2 (44:33):
Hey twenty one, Welcome back to the bloom Daddy Experience.
Time to head up on the hill to Strawb Automotive
and Kevin cook. What's going on by the end of
the month.

Speaker 3 (44:42):
It is, man, today is today actually the last day
it is, So what's shaking?

Speaker 2 (44:46):
I know, there's all kinds of stuff happening because you're
trying to move those vehicles.

Speaker 5 (44:50):
Well, everybody knows, you know, the manufacturers shit, you know
goals they set uh uh, you know things that were
supposed you know, units that we're supposed to move. We're
supposed to be use our inventories, and we really really
really measure that, you know, in the last few days
of the month. I mean, we're really shark you know,
we push all month, but for some reason, it just
seems like those last three or four or five days. Man,

(45:13):
everybody's hustling try to hit their number. You got salespeople
that are trying to hit their numbers, managers that are
trying to hit their obligations to the dealership. And so
if you're in the market, okay, today is a great
day to come up here. It doesn't look like it's
going to rain, right, that'd be nice, wouldn't it.

Speaker 2 (45:32):
Yeah, they're calling for showers later today. Of course you
would say that I'm just saying, but I mean, for
the majority of the day.

Speaker 3 (45:39):
You're good and the temperatures have come down some a
little bit, so a little bit, it's a little more
comfortable out there. Okay, the what it has been, and
we've got every unit is dot clearly sale price. You
can start your shopping experience right there on your phone
or it's PC. You can log into a drystrip dot com.

(46:00):
You could check out all the savings. Like I said,
every new and every pre owned vehicle is clearly sell priced.
Most of the pre owned, if they have.

Speaker 5 (46:07):
Less than seven years or less than seventy five thousand
miles on them, they qualify Forever Drive, which is lifetime
power train protection. We're the only dealer in the valley
that does that on new and pre owned vehicles. I
think we're the only hanted dealer in the state that
has it at both this location here and the location
in Bridgeport at Mountaineer Haunted. And those two stores are

(46:29):
once again battling it out for number one and number
two in the state. So get online, see what's happening here,
See why everybody's buying from the drib Automotive Group, and
you see just how it is.

Speaker 2 (46:43):
You can't describe it any better. You did a nice
job it's like you've been doing this for a while.

Speaker 5 (46:47):
I've done it twice.

Speaker 2 (46:48):
Yeah, I practice. Yeah, well that's good. You know that's
good practice makes perfectly've been doing I'm wonderful.

Speaker 5 (46:55):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (46:56):
We need a lot more practice.

Speaker 5 (46:59):
Okay, sometimes sometimes you do.

Speaker 2 (47:04):
All right, we'll see you. Thanks, all right, boye. So
there you have it, Strawbotomi. Last day, get out there, Yes,
last day of the month. They want to move those vehicles. Units.
They call them units.

Speaker 1 (47:16):
Wheeling and dealing.

Speaker 2 (47:16):
Is it?

Speaker 1 (47:18):
Yeah, today's the day. So he mentioned the heat. Yeah,
did you know the extreme heat affects your brain?

Speaker 2 (47:27):
Yeah, like it fries it.

Speaker 1 (47:30):
They're saying that hot weather, of course, does affect the
brain and your mental health.

Speaker 2 (47:35):
Does that explain a lot of explains a lot about me?

Speaker 1 (47:40):
They're saying the extreme heat can cause changes like you
can be more irritable, No, not me, a bit more anxious,
decreased memory. That'll be my excuse. It's too hot. I
forgot to make dinner. It's too hot. I forgot to
go to the grocery store.

Speaker 2 (47:58):
There's nothing worse than like when it's hot in your house,
like your air conditioning has been running for like seventeen
days straight and then all of a sudden, you're like,
you want to cook something in your house, and then
it just makes it hotter. Oh yeah, that's the worst.

Speaker 1 (48:11):
That's where something like the air airfier comes in handy,
and even that pumps out some heat, but it's not
as bad as an oven.

Speaker 2 (48:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (48:19):
Yeah, so your tension span is even shorter. Your let's see,
disrupted sleep, fatigue, poor concentration, impaired cognitive function function say
that ten times fast. It's because it's hot outside. I'm
gonna blame it. So now you have an excuse. You
can blame everything on.

Speaker 2 (48:40):
So how do we do that in the winter? But
we have all these things that are going wrong with us.

Speaker 1 (48:45):
It's so cold because your brain slows down, it's so cold.

Speaker 2 (48:50):
No, whatever, I think it works. Sure, I think it works.
If you believe it, you can sell it.

Speaker 1 (48:58):
Have you started planning for your holiday weekend?

Speaker 2 (49:01):
I don't even know what I'm doing tomorrow. I don't
even know what I'm doing later today, let alone Friday.

Speaker 1 (49:07):
Well, my neighbor is this is his absolute favorite holiday. Really, yes,
he has been planning for his fireworks since probably early May,
first of May, and he and the other neighbor yesterday
set everything timed out to music. Okay, there is so

(49:31):
much effort being put into this. The entire fireworks they
have it timed out to be about forty three minutes
and thirty seconds his display, Okay, all set by computers.
I mean, this is quite impressive, quite impressive.

Speaker 2 (49:46):
Yeah, sounds like he could be a pro. But you know,
here's we talked about the Fourth of July, and what's
the one thing you think about in the Fourth of July? Food, food, barbecue, whatever. Well,
the cost of the Fourth of July barbecue gone up
a little bit, of course it has. So there's a
new report from the Wells Fargo Agrifood Institute, and they
say that the food and beverages for a typical Fourth

(50:07):
at July barbecue for ten people cost you one hundred
and thirty bucks. I don't think that's that bad. That's
ten people, that's thirteen, that's thirteen, no, you know, and
that's food and beverages. They that's not beverages for my friends.
I'm just going to tell you right now that I'll
have one hundred and thirty dollars just in beverages for
ten people. Yes, which they say that's up a little
bit over two percent from last year. But the main

(50:29):
reason because of that, ground beef has gone up seven
percent from last year.

Speaker 1 (50:36):
So are we having burgers yet? We're having burgers.

Speaker 2 (50:40):
So there you have it.

Speaker 1 (50:41):
Yeah, burgers, hot dogs. We're having the traditional except.

Speaker 2 (50:44):
For and I'll tell you what, I'll throw out a
shameless plug. Okay, but I got some hamburgers. I got
the Cajun Blue and the hot Pepper cheese with Jalipino
hamburgers from Jacob and Sons. Oh they are smoked and.

Speaker 1 (51:00):
Good, literally and figuratively.

Speaker 2 (51:02):
Oh my goodness, they're delicious. You know what I mean.
You don't even need to put anything on them.

Speaker 1 (51:07):
Did you him on the grill? H?

Speaker 2 (51:09):
No? I did him in the air frier.

Speaker 1 (51:10):
The air fryer. They didn't dry out.

Speaker 2 (51:12):
No, they stayed moist. I mean, it's it's amazing how
moist it takes. Yeah. Sorry, yeah, I forgot about you
and moist.

Speaker 1 (51:23):
Stop. It's eight twenty eight. You're listening to The bloom
Daddy Experience, salmon Odas News Radio eleven seventy WWVA. Welcome back,
eight thirty six The Blue Daddy Experienced, salmon OTAs News
Radio eleven seventy WWVA. So I mentioned earlier in the

(51:46):
show that felt a little bit like a bit of
an underachiever. After seeing last night, I was kind of
digging through things, going, you know, planning for today after
the week the President Trump had last week. Think about it.
Last Monday morning, we were basically seeing the results of

(52:08):
what happened over the weekend with Iran. And if you
were like me, we're a little you know, Okay, this is.

Speaker 2 (52:21):
A little.

Speaker 1 (52:23):
You know, not the most comfortable feeling, I guess we'll
say so that was accomplished, and then three days later
had the announcement of the complete and total ceasefire between
Israel and Iran. So within a four or five day window,

(52:47):
he takes out and one of the most prolific under
the radar did not leak military strike in history. He
takes out some of the biggest locations Iran had for
building nuclear weapons, and three days later has a complete

(53:09):
and total ceasefire between the two Israel and Iran. Think
about that, that alone is a major accomplishment. Following that,
he goes to NATO where the NATO Secretary lavished him
with praise on the strikes and gets all of this

(53:33):
success for accomplishing what he accomplished in Iran from worldwide dignitaries.
It was also announced three days ago the General Electric
Appliances will be investing five hundred million dollars million to
shift its production from China back to our shores in Kentucky,

(53:57):
so more manufacturing coming back to the United States. And
then on Friday, giant wins at the Supreme Court level
on multiple topics including I don't know, let's return the
power of decision making for children's well being back into

(54:20):
the hands of the parents. If they don't want their
children taught specific things i e. Trans and lgbtwo Q
blah blah blah blah blah stuff in the classroom, the
parents have the right to make that decision for their children.

(54:40):
There's a thought along with the lower courts cannot dictate
how the president. They can't dictate federal law across the country.
So there's been major wins in everything that's been accomplished
this past week been past. It's just been it's been

(55:03):
a whirlwind since he took office. And that's an understatement,
that's an absolute understatement, and it comes out, you know what,
and honestly, talking to some people last night, liberals, they
don't know how to react. They just there's this look

(55:30):
of confusion.

Speaker 3 (55:33):
You know.

Speaker 1 (55:33):
I said to one person, they were talking about the
Supreme Court decisions on Friday, and you know, and I said,
I said to them, if your children were still five, six, seven,
eight years old in grade school, do you feel, as
a parent you have a right to know the curriculum
that your children are being taught in school. I didn't

(55:57):
say what it was. I just said the curriculum. I said,
do you do you feel that you do not have
you have a right to know what is being presented
to your children? You are the parent. Should you not
have the final say and what your child is exposed to?

Speaker 2 (56:14):
Well?

Speaker 1 (56:14):
Yeah, absolutely, I said, Then you wan on Friday. You won.
That's what you wanted. That's exactly exactly what you said.
Is what happened? You want? I said, well, but you know,
the uh, the Trump adminision. They said, no, take that
out of it. That's not part of the conversation. The

(56:35):
part of the conversation is parental rights. You want, what
you would choose for yourself and your children if they
were still school age is what happened. So you want,
but you know, but Trump forces No, no, no, no,
they can't. They can't wrap their minds around the fact
that when it comes to the nuts in the bolts

(56:55):
of a lot of these topics, they actually agree with Trump,
they agree with this administration, but because of who is
delivering it, who is fighting for it, they will not
accept it. And it's mind blowing to me. The people
cannot take themselves out of their derangement and accept the

(57:18):
fact that he puts America first. He puts Americans first,
and they just they can't wrap their minds around it.
And it's happening so fast. Things are happening so fast
because we have a president of action. They're not just
all lip service. This man is actually doing the things

(57:38):
he said he was going to do. He's a politician
that's actually accomplishing something that he promised on the campaign trail. Boy,
there's there's a there's a whole new thought. Most American
Americans aren't used to it, so we've not seen this
in decades. But that was that was Trump's week. That's

(57:59):
just kind of a quick review of Trump's week, just
just I don't know, insanity. But there was another big
event this past weekend. We probably would this might be
the last time we hear from him for a while.
He's probably on his honeymoon. But of course Amazon founder
Jeff Bezos tied. The knot I didn't issue was this

(58:19):
were with former journalist Lauren Sanchez in front of approximately
two hundred guests in Venice, Italy. Some of the guests
included Oprah, Tom Brady, Kim Kardashian, Leonardo DiCaprio. Attendees arrived
at the ceremony via water taxis for the extravagant three
day celebration, which was estimated to cost between can you

(58:42):
guess otis this will.

Speaker 2 (58:45):
Make I'll say maybe two million bucks.

Speaker 1 (58:49):
Now new estimated between sixty four and seventy six million dollars,
oh million dollars for a wedding the Amazon gazillionare takes
time away from his honeymoon. It's gonna be a while
since we before we hear from him. To give a
few details about his lavish Venice wedding.

Speaker 6 (59:14):
I'm Jeff Baziers. Sorry, ladies, I'm off the market. I'm
officially wedded. Our lavish nuptials were quite epic.

Speaker 2 (59:24):
Believe me. You have no choice but to believe me.

Speaker 6 (59:27):
Since all the guests had to sign an NBA sir, Yeah,
believe me, Oh the grand occasion. You haven't lived until
you've seen Jared Kushner doing the chicken dance. Leo DiCaprio
got sir, wasted here on the flower girl. And of
course there was that awkward moment when Erprah caught the bouquet.

(59:48):
Sorry stedman, But all told, it was a simple affair.
Just a few hundred of the world's richest and most
influential people, A few thousand protesters gathered outside the four
to five walls. Er and two people madly in love.
Erin yes, one air tight free up.

Speaker 1 (01:00:14):
What I'm sorry?

Speaker 2 (01:00:19):
I like the leading Ardo DiCaprio and yeah, he hit
on a flower.

Speaker 1 (01:00:25):
It's probably true. Think about that, up to seventy six
million dollars.

Speaker 2 (01:00:33):
There's a lot of things that could be done with
that money.

Speaker 1 (01:00:35):
Yeah, think of what, gosh, how what your life must
be like to say, yeah, I'm gonna drop fifty sixty
seventy million dollars on a wedding. Imagine that level of comfort.

(01:00:56):
I think it's beyond the realm of anybody's imagination. That's
just with that being said, Amazon Prime Days is coming up,
so take advantage. He's cutting some deals. It's eight forty five.
You're listening to the bloom Daddy Experience Sam and Otis
News Radio eleven seventy WWVA fifty. Who are about to

(01:01:30):
wrap us up on your Monday. We'll have chances for
you to win tomorrow. Today we were pretty we're pretty
jammed back, jam packed with a lot of stuff, so
we didn't really get a chance to filter any of
that kind of fun stuff in. But we'll have some
stuff for you tomorrow, so tune in for that. Today
is Social Media Day. Don't know if that's actually something

(01:01:54):
to celebrate. I think social media opened up a can
of worms that we you know, let the genie out
of the bottle if you if you will, that will
never be able to uh put back in. I think
it's got its positives, and I also think it has
its negatives. But the most popular social media platform in

(01:02:16):
twenty twenty five is still Facebook with over three million, yeah,
three million subscribers. YouTube follows by Instagram, What's app, TikTok,
we Chat, I've never heard of we chat, and so
on and so forth. So today is National Social Media
Platform Day. I will say this it does provide Otis

(01:02:36):
with some really good jokes. He had some good ones
this morning for us off the air, so he found
it's almost like you found a uh.

Speaker 2 (01:02:45):
Dad joke website. Yeah, yeah, that's pretty much what they were.

Speaker 1 (01:02:49):
And Happy Birthday goes out to the one and only
uh boxing legend earbier, Mike Tights. He turns fifty nine
years old today, Mister Mike Tyson.

Speaker 2 (01:03:08):
Did he have a nickname Iron Mike?

Speaker 1 (01:03:10):
That's it, That's right.

Speaker 2 (01:03:11):
I knew that.

Speaker 1 (01:03:12):
I knew that. That's where I did. What are you
looking at in there?

Speaker 2 (01:03:16):
Who may? Yeah? Just I'm doing a little research.

Speaker 1 (01:03:20):
Oh okay, I thought maybe you had another you had
a joke for us.

Speaker 2 (01:03:23):
No, no, just doing a little.

Speaker 1 (01:03:24):
Research I have I have. This is not a joke.
This is actually scary. I have a new word for you.
Tell me if you can guess what this is.

Speaker 2 (01:03:33):
I'm a little nervous.

Speaker 1 (01:03:34):
Okay, zeno, sexual.

Speaker 2 (01:03:42):
Well, Zeno, don't google, I'm not okay. Look here's okay, okay, zeno.
What that's got to be something I'm trying to think
of what the root word would be. I don't go ahead, Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:04:03):
It's a new term for attraction. So it's another new

Oh so, in other words, like I would be in
love with a car.

Speaker 1 (01:04:18):

that alien or bigfoot one or the other one. Yes.

Speaker 1 (01:04:44):
Uh, it can be attracted to concepts or even inanimate
objects like you said cars. It's not to be confused
with the term alo sexual or a low, which it
refers to those who experience sexual attract I don't know
what that means, but yeah, yeah, you're attracted to non

(01:05:04):

No, No, he's the it's a one name. He's a
one name. Oh yes, wait, reggae rapper. Yes, and I'm like,
how do you fit all those three things in together?

mesh No I mean, I can maybe get the rap,
you know, if you like a Hasidic Jewish rapper, but
then to throw in the rag the reggae, and it's

Dad offered to take care of him a little bit.
Oh hey, he had the option to go to the
Pirate game yesterday and he balked because he said it
was too much of driving. I said, you got to
drive from Morgantown to Washington, PA. Like what half an hour,
maybe thirty five minutes. Yeah, but he said, oh, but
I drove it Friday and I drove it Saturday, and

do you? I mean, like, seriously, if you're going to
a sixty million dollar wedding, what can you buy them? Hey,
we're registered at poscasts.

Speaker 1 (01:09:16):
Our registry list is on Amazon. I would hope somebody
with that amount of money would not expect a gift,
and if they do expect something, it would be cash
to go to some sort of charity. Because I know
people that do that around here. They have everything, so
they don't expect anything. I don't know. My invitation got

(01:09:38):
lost in the mail, that's all I can say. I'm
sure yours did too.

Speaker 2 (01:09:42):

Speaker 1 (01:09:45):
I could see us rolling up in a gondola. Here
