Speaker 1 (00:01):
Ze number one Touch show in the Ohio Alley. This
is the bloom Daddy Experience. Your host bloom Daddy. His
goal inform, entertain and tick people off. The bloom Daddy
Experience on News Radio eleven seventy.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
WWVA starts now the.
Speaker 3 (00:20):
Bloom Daddy Experience. It's seven oh six on News Radio
eleven seventy. Here's a question for you. Why does the
Jeffrey Epstein saga make it so difficult to separate back
from fiction? I mean, you got civil lawsuits, investigative reporters
analyzing flight logs, possible grand jury testimony, statements of victims.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
What's true what isn't?
Speaker 3 (00:43):
Brad Garrett, ABC News Crime and Terrorism Analyst out of DC, Brad,
this is a This is a tough one to sort through.
Speaker 4 (00:50):
It is.
Speaker 5 (00:50):
And if you take the things that you just mentioned
and you add to it, like back in two thousand
and six, when the federal government had drawn up a
multi count indictment against Depstein that would have put him
in jail for dozens and dozens of years, to all
of a sudden give him a non prosecution plea agreement
(01:12):
and let him plead the two solicitation charges in Florida.
Now you know, from my perspective, there's huge shenanigans that
went on with that. But that's the start of this.
And you know, as you go through the civil lawsuits
which have brought out additional information. And then you have
the death of Jeffrey Epstein and in the conspiracy of
(01:35):
did he you know, did he take kill himself or
did somebody else kill him. It's pretty clear to people
like me, but it's not clear to a lot of
the public. And then you have the White House, you know,
gushing at the beginning of their administration about you know,
we're just going to open up these files and you
can read them to slow walking to almost to a trickle.
(01:57):
And it strikes me is that they're just not going
to release all of it, and all of those things
everything I said, with the overlay of a wealthy guy, attractive,
beautiful women, mansions. I mean, it's just like right out
of Netflix. And I think all of that even adds,
(02:17):
in my view, to the whole conspiracy idea that's spun
around this case.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
Why do you think the Trump administration did that? Why
do you think they said, hey, you're going to see everything,
and then all of a sudden we are where we are,
because look, if Trump was guilty of anything, the Biden
administration would have blown this out of the water. Unless
there's people on the Democratic side that are just as culpable.
Speaker 5 (02:44):
I think there's no doubt. And one of the problems,
of course, is I think they maybe had made the
classic mistake of saying things before they knew what exactly
was in there. I'll give you an example, and I
don't know this is in there, but I'm about to say,
but I can just tell you, based on an investigative experience,
who are you going to interview. You're going to interview
(03:06):
people that were at these locations were alleged sex accidents
with you know, underage victims. They're going to be high
profile people, and victims are going to tell you that,
you know, high profile person A had sex with underage
person B, you know, at this location in the Virgin Islands,
or in Manhattan or in Florida at one of his mansions,
(03:29):
which may or may not even be true. I mean, people,
you know tell me stuff for forty years that wasn't true,
and I would sort through part of it was and wasn't.
But the point being is that even if that's in
a report and it says, let's say about some former
president and you know, the allegation is made, but where
(03:49):
are the facts that supported it may not be true
at all, or maybe two percent of it's true, it
would still be usually damaging. And that's what I think.
Some of that is in there on more than one person,
and now they just don't want it out.
Speaker 3 (04:07):
Talking to Brad Garrett, ABS News Crime and Terrorism analyst
live from Washington, So what's the next shoot to drop
in this because it's not going away.
Speaker 5 (04:15):
Oh, absolutely, it's going to Actually, I think it's going
to become even more enriched and conspiracy driven. You know,
you have the courageous victims coming forward as adults now
to Congress and getting together having a press conference this week,
and they are saying, at least in interviews, they're going
to put together a client list because obviously they are
(04:36):
the victims of some of these quote unquote clients.
Speaker 6 (04:39):
Right, So.
Speaker 5 (04:41):
Talk about potential, you know, bombshells. You know, we'll see
where that goes, and then we'll see what pressure if
that happens, what that puts on the White House to
really release more of the file than they want to release,
so you know, we'll have to see But boy, you know,
(05:01):
this case should have We shouldn't even be talking about
this case. But now it's like, you know, we can't
go a day without talking about this case now, so
and I think you know, you can call me next
week and we'll talk about it some more because something
else probably will happen between now and next week.
Speaker 6 (05:18):
You can almost guarantee it.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
Yeah, you can almost guarantee it.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
Brad.
Speaker 6 (05:21):
Thanks for the thanks for the insight.
Speaker 5 (05:24):
You're welcome to take care of all right, Brad.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
Garrett, ABC News Crime and Terrorism analysts Live from Washington.
Speaker 7 (05:31):
Okay. Jeffrey Epstein, the the name that will not go away.
Here's the thing from somebody who is a true crime fanatic.
Here is where this has gripped everybody because it has
everybody tied in because of the elements that it It's
(05:51):
all wrapped into one. So we have money, big, big
amounts of money. These are some of the richest people
on planet whose names are associated with this man. We've
got New York City in the big fancy panhouse, We've
got Florida tied in. Then we've got the names that
are attached to him. We have pictures of people with him.
(06:17):
We've got, of course sex tied into this. We've got
how he got released in Florida. So there are so
many elements how he was plued down and then also
how it ties into government. There are so many elements
all wrapped into one surrounding this man and of course
(06:37):
Glen Maxwell. That is what has everybody so enamored with
this story. What amazes me. Everybody keeps talking about the
list and the documents. I get that, don't get me wrong.
You know, if you've watched the Netflix documentary on this,
which by the way, if you have not, you need
(06:57):
to watch it. You know they showed it in there,
some of the flight logs to the private island. That's
the other thing I forgot to mention. The private islands
involved Columbus and the owner of the limited and Victoria's secret.
I can't think of that guy, that gentleman's name. He's
tied into this, one of the richest men on the planet.
But where are the videos. So, if you've read or
(07:20):
heard anything about the penhouse that he had in New
York City, it was loaded with cameras, according to statements
by people who have been there. Just loaded with security features, cameras,
hidden rooms, like all of this kind of stuff. Where
is all of that? Nobody's talking about that. They're talking
(07:45):
about the list, they're talking about the flight manifest, all
of that, but nobody's talking about the video evidence that
of course that penhouse was rated. Where is all of
that stuff? Where is all of it? That's my question,
(08:08):
and it amazes me. And it came out earlier this
week that women who were victims of this man are
finally speaking out and they're putting together their own list,
and I say kudos to them. Good for them. Now,
I hope what they say is truthful. But I'll go
back to this and bloom Daddy made the same point,
(08:29):
and I will make this point, and everybody has made
this point. If President Trump was linked badly to this man,
they would have released all of that last year during
the campaign. They would have, and they didn't, and they didn't,
(08:49):
So I understand. It's it's almost like a real life
drama playing out in front of us, and everybody's going
to have their theories and everybody's gonna have their speculation.
But my big question is, where is what they took
out of the NYC apartment? That's I think more interesting
(09:15):
than the quote unquote mysterious list. I don't know. You
have the thoughts, call us one eight hundred and sixty
two four eleven seventy, or of course you can text
us our text line seven zero four to seven zero,
start the message with bloom Daddy, and then drop us
a note. But it is a Friday, so we are
going to have some fun, which, by the way, posted
(09:39):
our fun Friday topics on our Facebook yesterday and then
this morning. But we're gonna get into those when we
get back. And then but I want to kick it
off with the pirates. The Pittsburgh Pirates had a problem
last night. We're going to talk about that. Seven sixteen.
You're listening to the bloom Daddy Experience. I'm an Otis
(10:00):
News Radio eleven seventy WWVA, Welcome back, seventy twenty one,
the bloom Daddy Experience here on this Friday morning. I
was gonna say i'm Otis. I'm saying so otis.
Speaker 6 (10:21):
Wow.
Speaker 7 (10:22):
Yeah, it's a Friday, folks, it's a Friday. Bear with us,
Bear with us before we get into the conversation about
the pirates. A little housekeeping here for you we're gonna
have chances for you to win. We're gonna have your
first chance coming up here very shortly, because throughout the
show we're gonna have all kinds of different stuff. We're
gonna have Rafter and Rodeo, we're gonna have a pair
of doo Wop tickets, and then we've got something from
(10:43):
our friends at McCormick's, so that is going to be
throughout the show. So we're sitting here this morning and
Otis starts laughing in his little cobby hole over there,
and I'm like, what is so funny? What is so funny?
Is they're at it again? It happening. It just they
(11:05):
can't win, they can't catch a break. And I went
here and he gets all the pirates. They got a
weener problem. I'm like, what wait, stop, wait, back up.
Speaker 6 (11:12):
I don't know if I said that.
Speaker 7 (11:13):
No you didn't. No, I'm putting words in your mouth,
but I think it's funnier. So but I say, what
what is going on? So then tell us what you
were reading? Because this is amazing and the comments on
social media are what take it over the top.
Speaker 6 (11:31):
Okay, hold on, because I just I you put this
on me and I forget.
Speaker 7 (11:36):
Oh sorry, And here's the thing. This is not a
knock on the team. I actually feel sorry for a
lot of players that play for the Pirates because, as
we've discussed before, Bob Nutting, the whole situation with the
Pittsburgh Pirates ownership is shameful. It's shameful. But this is
kind of I saw it well deserved.
Speaker 6 (11:56):
I saw it on Facebook, and I'm not sure how
true it is, but I guess last night was dollar
high dog night. Okay, Allegedly they ran out of the
hot dogs that were the dollar hot dogs somewhere in
the fourth inning and so just not even like mid.
Speaker 7 (12:12):
What wildest sort of midway four and a half, yeah, midwady.
Speaker 6 (12:15):
So I guess they went they for the dollar dogs.
They were selling the jumbo hot dogs now for a dollar.
Speaker 7 (12:23):
And this is about a quarter of hot dog there.
Speaker 6 (12:26):
No, maybe not even that ten cents, probably right, But
the comments and I can't find the post now, but
I sent you the link.
Speaker 7 (12:33):
Yeah, and let me get to it here.
Speaker 6 (12:35):
Yeah, and it is absolutely hysterical on some of the things.
Speaker 7 (12:41):
That people came up with.
Speaker 6 (12:44):
Oh yeah, so it says here, let's see here, they
ran out of normal hot dogs on dollar Dollar Dog Night,
so they're giving jumbo dogs. Bob nightting ish is is
in shamples. And then it's just the comments are actually
I guess it says, remember when they ran out of
(13:07):
buns a few seasons ago. This wouldn't happen with the
Savannah Savannah bananas. Nutting tried to trade schemes in the fifth.
They need to save money and make up for the disaster.
He's now spent more money on hot dogs than hitters.
I mean, the comments are priceless, and I mean, uh, what.
Speaker 7 (13:28):
About the one from Ken Do you see that one?
Speaker 4 (13:31):
No?
Speaker 7 (13:31):
I mean, okay, go ahead, Bob Nutting loses his wiener
at PNC. Bob just canceled the Nutting Family Christmas.
Speaker 6 (13:43):
I mean, there's there are somebdoozies on here, but I
mean it's just, you know, they just they're they're killing him. Oh,
I see the one you just said.
Speaker 7 (13:54):
If Joey Chestnut was there, would have been out by
the second second inning.
Speaker 6 (13:59):
It says the hundred people in the stands got their
money's worth tonight.
Speaker 2 (14:04):
Oh.
Speaker 6 (14:04):
How in the hell do you run out of hot
dogs in a major league baseball game?
Speaker 4 (14:07):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (14:07):
Yeah, it's the pirates. Someone's getting released. I mean, oh,
it's just funny. But then, but then tomorrow, Tonight's free
T shirt night has been ordered. Now the first twenty
thousand fans get a T shirt, but they're charged five bucks.
Speaker 7 (14:23):
Put on top of this, you were talking about recently
a couple of players being released due to being close
to a threshold and a contract bomb or bonus.
Speaker 6 (14:34):
Yeah, I can't and I can't. I can never say
his name, right, they call him my fk Isaiah. I
can't remember, yeah, can't. I can't even remember what it is. Anyway,
he he was like eighty one played appearances away from
a from a bonus. There was another guy that was,
(14:55):
you know, maybe a couple of games or something away
from a from a bonus. One was one hundred thousands
dollar bonus, the other one was a two hundred and
fifty thousand bonus. One got just they both got one
got released, the other one got waved. It's not a
good look.
Speaker 7 (15:13):
No, it's a terrible look.
Speaker 6 (15:14):
I mean they're listen, they're they're not great players. But
you've had them all seasons. Yeah, you know.
Speaker 7 (15:21):
They've showed up, they've done their Yeah, they've showed up.
They've done their job to the best of them well,
I don't know about this, but to the best of
their ability. They have worked to hit this particular threshold.
And you, as the employer, because you're such a tight
(15:42):
you know what, ripped that out from underneath them. It's
just dirty. It's bad business, and it's a terrible past year.
Speaker 6 (15:49):
They released the guy. The guy needed three at bats
I think for a bonus, and they released him the
you know, so he wouldn't get it because normally, if you,
if anyone wear you bat in the lineup, you get
four bats in the game. So if he's batten in
the top five spots, he's probably gonna get four bats.
Speaker 7 (16:06):
And that those stories are another layer or another element
that needs to be taken into consideration with Major League
Baseball as a whole when talking about ownership of franchises,
and I'm not just talking about the Pirates ownership of franchises.
If they don't put forth the effort to put a
(16:29):
good product on the field worthy of the fans that
support the team, then there should be consequences. This man
has done this to the Pirates for how many years now,
decades it's going on. It's been decades that it has
been a terrible franchise, and they don't care. They don't care.
(16:53):
They don't care about you as the fan. They don't
care about the product they put out on the on
the field, and they don't care about the players. And
these are examples right there of how they don't care,
and that's unacceptable as far as I'm concerned, it's unacceptable.
Speaker 6 (17:10):
Yeah, they don't.
Speaker 7 (17:11):
And they run out of hot dogs. Seriously, what is
the number one thing when you think about going to
a baseball game? A beer, beer, and a hot dog.
Isn't that like the guys go to thing at pretty much? Yeah? Yeah,
(17:31):
just another notch in the belt.
Speaker 6 (17:34):
I was looking for the story. There's just way too
many stories here. Whatever the last because I think it
was earlier in the week, So the ongoing I'll try
to find it during the break.
Speaker 7 (17:44):
Comedic relief sometimes because.
Speaker 6 (17:45):
I didn't know we were going there.
Speaker 7 (17:47):
Sorry, sorry, the comedic relief that is the Pittsburgh Pirates. Yeah,
let's go to a cook break. Oh no, we're gonna
do our first chance to win.
Speaker 6 (17:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (17:56):
McCormick's one hundred sixty two for eleven seventy Caller number
seven caller number seven one hundred and six to four
eleven seventy seven thirty six. On this Friday, the Blue
Daddy experienced Sam and Otis Otis and Sam the News
Radio eleven seventy w w VA. So we are with
(18:18):
it being Friday, fun questions, We're having some fun questions.
So our first one to kick off with Otis was
this was this was yours? So what was the best
and worst back to school item? You remember? So you
and I were kind of on vacation when it was
back to school, you know, crazy.
Speaker 6 (18:36):
It all depends, I mean because some schools started early,
and then some schools started a week later. Some schools
didn't even start until this week. I mean.
Speaker 7 (18:44):
Yeah, So we want to talk about, you know, going
going back, going back to our childhood and what was
like the must have your favorite three thing to get?
It was like, oh yeah, I'm going to get my
new pair of shoes or whatever for back to school time.
So we want to hear from you. One hundred six
four eleven seventy You can call us our text line
seven zero four seven zero zero. I'm sorry, be helpful
(19:08):
if I opened that up on my laptop. You start
the message off with bloom Daddy and then leave us
your comment. So, what is your best memory?
Speaker 6 (19:19):
Mine? Yeah, my best memory on a first day of school.
I don't know if I have a best memory. Let
me think about Let me think about that my worst memory.
And I didn't know it was my worst memory at
the time because I didn't know any better. So I
went in this, I went from the sixth grade to
(19:39):
the seventh grade. And when I did that, I went
to a new school where I didn't know anybody. Okay,
my best friend was he he was going to school
with me there, but they went on vacation on Labor
Day weekend, their car broke down, so he missed the
first day of school because he wasn't in. So I'm
(20:00):
at a brand new school where I know zero people.
Speaker 7 (20:03):
That's tough and you're a middle schooler junior high awkward.
Speaker 6 (20:08):
Yeah, So in my homeroom there was one person that
I had met, so I mean that made it just
a little bit easier. And the one thing that I
can remember is until that time, I didn't know anything
about shoes, you know, So I mean there were kids
(20:30):
there with Nikes, there were kids there with Converse, and
you know, the big shoes.
Speaker 7 (20:34):
At the time, not me.
Speaker 6 (20:39):
I have no idea where we got my shoes, but
they were, as we used to call them, they were
Pickway puddle jumpers or Jupiter jumpers or whatever. But you know,
we never in my life. And then I remember, probably
about three to four weeks into the school year, I
made my mom into or dad buy me a pair
(21:02):
of Nikes and they were Nike, the white canvas high
tops with the black swush, like one of the very
first Nikes out there. And I thought they were gold.
But I mean, I like, I didn't. I didn't know
any better. But you know, you go to a school
where you know, these these kids were a little more prominent,
(21:23):
you know what I mean, Like I went, I you know,
people I went to school with nobody really cared. But
you know, these people from a different area of Wheeling.
You know you're talking, you know, a little higher, maybe
a little higher, maybe not too much, but I mean
they they were a little more knowledgeable, is yes, yes,
And I was like, holy cow, I'm wearing these shoes.
(21:45):
And you know, it took about three to four weeks
for me to figure it out, but yeah, I can.
First day of school, didn't realize that you know, my
shoes were not you know, the I was Yeah, I
was not in Yeah, I was not in Well.
Speaker 7 (22:01):
I mean, but that actually says something that as far
as you you were concerned, that didn't matter when it
came to Well.
Speaker 6 (22:09):
And then you know, the first week of school though,
was was also very because I think we had our
first pep rally and of course seven hundred kids jammed
into an auditorium. Uh. I was not allowed to play football.
I had to. I had to sit out because I transferred.
I went to a school that was out of my district.
(22:29):
This this was the rule at the time. And if
I didn't sit out as a seventh grader, it could
come back to haunt me. Somebody could complain later on
down the road, and they could affect me in high
school because then I would have to sit out. I
would have to sit out.
Speaker 7 (22:43):
Like your senior year.
Speaker 6 (22:44):
Yeah, yeah, exactly, So it would be my penalty. So
to avoid anything like that, you know, my dad said,
you're sitting out. So it became the manager of the
football team just for just to hang around and kind
of meet some people. And so they had the first
pep rally and they introduced everybody the managers, the coaches,
the team. Of course, when your dad's the principal, you
(23:06):
were not the most popular person. Especially as a seventh.
Speaker 2 (23:10):
Grader, You're avoided.
Speaker 6 (23:13):
There was a loud array of booze when my name
got mentioned, and uh, you know, I learned to accept
that and it actually didn't bother me. I kind of
accepted it and fed off of that. And then by
the time that I became a freshman, you know, that
(23:36):
had totally kind of blown over. Yeah, I mean, you
still had the kids that didn't know who you were,
and you know, normally the ones that were always in
trouble were the ones that kept it up, so everybody
else was pretty kosher with it.
Speaker 7 (23:51):
They couldn't do anything to your dad.
Speaker 6 (23:52):
So they Yeah, but as people got to know me too,
that that was a lot of you.
Speaker 7 (23:59):
Know that was there was still didn't like you. Is
that was your pretty much Okay, yeah, maybe fish with
that statement.
Speaker 6 (24:06):
So but yeah, I mean, so the first day, you know,
bat shoes and then the first week, you know, you
just you go to your first PEP rally and your
dad's the principal. It's not you're you're not mister popular,
and I'm still not.
Speaker 7 (24:22):
So, yeah, school's awkward. Let's just be honest. Now there
are years that are that are even more. And all
of us have gone through puberty and we all have
that picture, oh god, the class picture of where you
are at that awkward in between stage and your head
(24:42):
is too big for your body, or you've got braces
or you've got I mean, we've all been through it.
We've all been through it. For me, my craziest memory
first day, and I'm pretty sure it was the first day.
Now keep in mind, I'm this is like four great,
I'm thinking back to see. For me, there was a
(25:04):
division between the kids that lived out in the country
and the rural areas, the bus kids, the country kids
versus the townies. So the town kids, you know, they
either they didn't ride the bus at all, or they
didn't barely have to be on it because they lived
so close to everything. I lived so far out. I
was on the school bus for oh my goodness, an hour,
(25:28):
an hour and a half. It just depended, but I
was on forever. But I was the first person picked
up on the school bus route. And we had a
decent sized, long driveway, and I remember and I'm sure
if my parents hear this, They're gonna say, I don't
think it happened that way, but this is how I
(25:48):
remember it. I remember running down the driveway and along
our driveway we had a huge, huge birch tree. I
think it was a birch tree. And as I'm running
and I'm wearing you know, of course, all of your
new clothes, because that's one of the best things about
back to school. You get your new clothes, you get
your new backpack. For me, it was a trapper keeper.
(26:10):
That was always the big thing. You know what image
what trapper keeper are you gonna pick? And if you
were really cool, you had Lisa frank stuff and if
ladies you know what I'm talking about. But anyways, as
I'm running down, I hear above my head like crunching,
and this noise coming out of the tree and falls
(26:31):
right in front of me. Is this giant snake? Huge
falls right out of the tree right in front of me.
And I don't know what type of snake it was,
because I am not an officiado on snake's I just
remember it being this giant, huge snake. I remember screaming
(26:53):
at the top of my lungs, and I remember my
father come running out of the house in as tidy
whities and went and got a hoe from the shed
and just started chopping the be Jesus out of this snake. Yeah,
my dad, Yeah, I know, I knew that joke was coming.
(27:14):
I will never forget that. I mean, it was just
like a crazy man and tidy whities chasing this snake
or going after this snake like something out of a
horror movie, chopping it and dicing it and everything else.
So yeah, yeah, So if you have a good back
to school memory, good or bad, we want to hear
for you me you seven forty five The bloom Daddy
(27:35):
Experience Sam and Otis News Radio eleven seventy WWVA. Welcome
back to seven fifty on your Friday, The Blue Daddy
Experience Otis and Sam News Radio eleven seventy WWV. I
zoned out there for a minute. My apologies. Wanted to
(27:58):
kind of talk about last night. If you follow our
Facebook page, I had the opportunity to be a celebrity
dealer supporting the United Way for their jubilee. Did something
a little bit different this time, and there's a video up.
Had an absolute blast doing this and people loved it.
(28:21):
I was part of a human slot Machine, and I
will say this. I know there's a joke in there somewhere.
It was a great time and I just want to
give a shout out to all those that worked really
hard to put that together. It was all football themed,
so you got to wear your favorite team attire. But
(28:43):
it was a great time, and again it was all
in support of the United Way. The Human Slot Machine was.
It was a big hit and had a really really
good time doing it. I want to give a shout
out to one gentleman know that he and I got
to chit chat, but honestly never never got his name.
(29:04):
I believe he was with Harvey Goodman real ittor. It
was as I said, it was team themed and I
was looking at the jersey he had on and it
said Bayside and I'm looking at it. I'm looking at
him going bay Side. And I looked at him and
I said, is your jersey for Bayside from Saved by
the Bell the Kids Show? And he turned around and
(29:24):
said Slater on the back. It was Ac Slater from
Saved by the Bell. So to that gentleman that I
got a chance to speak to, I give you. I
give you the win, not that anybody asked, but I
give you the win for the most creative sports apparel
last night, because that was that was pretty good. That
was pretty good. So to him, I give I give
(29:47):
huge kudos. Otis. You were laughing at my at my
video said it wasn't the most complimentary, or you're like,
what are you doing? Just it was? Hey, at least
I wasn't dealing bl blackjack this time because.
Speaker 6 (30:01):
You didn't deal it the last time. No, you didn't.
You stood at the table and then you walked away
and talked to everybody, And I mean all I needed
was you to shuffle the deck. No, you can't even
do that. You're oh, hey, how are you? It's great.
I love your dress that you're wearing. His head, Oh
is that right? Oh that's a great purse. Hey how
are you doing? There was there was You weren't.
Speaker 7 (30:23):
Dealing, but the table was full the entire.
Speaker 6 (30:26):
Time because of you. Yes, you weren't. There was not
one person that you talked to that came and played
at our table.
Speaker 7 (30:38):
Oh stop it.
Speaker 6 (30:40):
Well, I'm sorry. It's the truth. And I would have
been there last night. I would not have done the
human slot machine.
Speaker 7 (30:45):
No, no, no, your talents would have been needed on
the real card type of like blackjack.
Speaker 6 (30:54):
I will say this, the only the only disadvantage from
last year when I was dealing was they had the
blackjack tables, but they were the low ones. And oh
and you're not short, and so I'm hunched over because then,
you know, you gotta be able to see the cards.
So you couldn't sit down because then I couldn't see.
So I had to stand up, bend over, and then
(31:15):
like the next day, I couldn't move my back. Yeah,
you were a little Yeah, so I needed like I
needed a high high barstools type chair, right or they
needed the higher table, you know that that would have
been nice, you know, to have the stand up table. Well.
Speaker 7 (31:32):
And I and I walked out last night a winter.
Not only was I there's a first yeah, part of
the Human slaught machine. I didn't win that, but I won.
I won some baskets, so I was. I walked out
of there are three, three or four. I was a
big winner, So I was. I was. Uh, I was
excited about that.
Speaker 6 (31:48):
But it was.
Speaker 7 (31:49):
It was a great time. And as I said to
everybody involved to put that together, good good job. It
was a lot of fun. It was a lot of fun.
And speaking of football, NFL kicked off last night, which means,
of course this weekend is going to be a heavy weekend.
We're gonna get into that a little bit more here
(32:10):
a little bit later. But Steelers take on the Jets,
the Bengals and are at the Browns. Who do you
think is gonna win? Of course you can get our
Facebook page and comment. I hate to say it as
I sit here in my Brown's gear, but I think
the Bengals are going to win. I think the Bengals
(32:30):
are going to win, and I think the Steelers are
going to win against the Jets. I just I'm usually
pumped for football season, really, I usually am, and I
don't know what it is this year. I just can't
get excited about it. And I think, honestly, I think
part of it has to do. Had this conversation last
(32:52):
night at home. The Browns play on Fox this weekend,
and we sat there saying, Okay, where can we watch
Fox Live? Because there are so many stupid apps and
there are so many different places that the NFL has
agreements with when it comes to contracts of who's playing
(33:13):
what and where they're playing it?
Speaker 6 (33:14):
Why do they play on Fox? Because that's they're two
AFC teams. They should be able to CBS.
Speaker 7 (33:19):
That's what I thought. My husband said they were on Fox.
Maybe he's wrong. I'm going off by what he said.
They should be on CBS. But there are. But despite that,
just despite our game, I don't want every week and
I don't care what team you follow, I don't want
every week to be like a treasure hunt on where
(33:42):
and how to watch your favorite team? And on what night?
Is it on Fox?
Speaker 6 (33:52):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (33:52):
Where can you stream Fox Live?
Speaker 6 (33:54):
Hulu? I think it says you can do Hulu plus
Live TV NFL plus subscription.
Speaker 7 (33:59):
And see we don't have i TV. See is it
on Sling?
Speaker 6 (34:04):
Probably? But I don't see it?
Speaker 7 (34:06):
Yeah, but see that. That's my point. That's my point.
There's so many Now next week, what if it's on
CBS and you don't have Paramount Plus. I mean, there's
just it's every week is going to turn into an
absolute mess and a headache.
Speaker 6 (34:23):
I just want. I mean, that just doesn't make sense
because I thought, like Fox was NFC and CBS was
AFC and there are two AFS, Now what happens? I mean,
I know there's some differences when you play at somebody
else's stadium, like if it's if it's if you're the
NFC team and an AFC team, then I think CBS
has the rights and then vice versa. Right, you know,
so there's there. It's always been something. You get something,
(34:45):
there's an agreement there. But I don't to have two
AFC teams on Fox unless they're unless they've just said, hey,
it's a free for all and you guys get you
pick your games, or they maybe assigned the game.
Speaker 7 (34:58):
Yeah, but you're right, it's always been a CE teams
were on CBS and NFC were on the most, yeah,
the majority, but that but you're you're playing exactly until
my point of it shouldn't be hard and cause you
a migraine to find where and how you can watch
(35:18):
your team's game. It shouldn't be that hard. So now
I'm probably gonna spend the majority of my Sunday morning
figuring out how to watch Fox Live so that we
can watch the game, and it can't be Fox San
Francisco or Fox Chicago or whatever. So that's what's driving
me in us With the NFL, it's just gotten way
(35:39):
too hard. Seven fifty eight. It's not too hard. We're
gonna do your chance to win. Let's do a family
four pack to rafter m Rodeo one eight hundred six
two four eleven seventy, caller number ten, caller number ten.
Speaker 1 (35:50):
Indeed number one talk show in the Ohio Valley. This
this the bloom Daddy Experience. Your host bloom Daddy, his
goal in four entertain and tick people off. The bloom
Daddy Experience on news Radio eleven seventy.
Speaker 2 (36:06):
WWVA starts now.
Speaker 3 (36:10):
News Radio eleven seventy gets the Blue Daddy Experience. Hey,
it's eighth six, let's get this hour rolling. Here's a
question for you. Why does the Jeffrey Epstein saga make
it so difficult to separate fact from fiction? I mean,
you got civil lawsuits, investigative reporters analyzing flight logs, possible
grand jury testimony, statements of victims.
Speaker 2 (36:33):
What's true?
Speaker 6 (36:34):
What isn't?
Speaker 3 (36:34):
Brad Garrett, ABC News Crime and Terrorism Analyst out of DC, Brad,
this is a this is a tough one to sort through.
Speaker 5 (36:41):
It is and if you take the things that you
just mentioned and you add to it, like back in
two thousand and six, when the federal government had drawn
up a multi count indictment against DestinE that would have
put him in jail for dozens and dozens of years,
to all of the sudden giving him a non prosecution
(37:03):
plea agreement and letting plead the two solicitation charges in Florida. Now,
you know, from my perspective, there's huge shenanigans that went
on with that. But that's the start of this. And
you know, as you go through the civil lawsuits which
have brought out additional information. And then you have the
(37:23):
death of Jeffrey Epstein and in the conspiracy of did
he you know, did he take kill himself or did
somebody else kill him? Is pretty clear to people like me,
but it's not clear to a lot of the public.
And then you have the White House, you know, gushing
at the beginning of their administration about you know, we're
just going to open up these files and you can
(37:44):
read them to slow walking to almost to a trickle.
And it strikes me is that they're just not going
to release all of it, uh and all of those things.
Everything I said with the overlay of wealthy, attractive, beautiful
women mansions, I mean, it's just like right out of Netflix.
(38:06):
And I think all of that even adds, in my view,
to the whole conspiracy ideas that's spun around this case.
Speaker 3 (38:16):
Why do you think the Trump administration did that? Why
do you think they said, hey, you're going to see everything,
and then all of a sudden, we are where we are.
Because look, if Trump was guilty of anything, the Biden
administration would have blown this out of the water. Unless
there's people on the Democratic side that are just as culpable.
Speaker 5 (38:35):
I think there's no doubt. And one of the problems,
of course, is I think they maybe had made the
classic mistake of saying things before they knew what exactly
was in there. I'll give you an example, and I
don't know this is in there, but I'm about to say,
but I can just tell you, based on in destigative experience,
who are you going to interview. You're going to interview
(38:58):
people that were at these locations were alleged sex axecuting
with you know, underage victims. They're going to be high
profile people, and victims are going to tell you that,
you know, high profile person A had sex with underage
person B. You know, at this location in the Virgin
Islands or in Manhattan, or in Florida at one of
(39:19):
his mansions, which may or may not even be true.
I mean, people you know, told me stuff for forty
years that wasn't true, and I would sort through part
of it it was and wasn't. But the point being
is that even if that's in a report and it says,
let's say about some former president, and you know, the
(39:39):
allegation is made, but where are the facts that supported
it may not be true at all, or maybe two
percent of it's true, it would still be usually damaging.
And that's what I think. Some version of that is
in there on more than one person, and now they
just don't want it out.
Speaker 3 (39:59):
Talking of Brad garrity Mes, News Crime and Terrorism analyst,
Live from Washington. So what's the next shoot to drop
in this because it's not going away.
Speaker 5 (40:07):
Oh absolutely, it's going to Actually, I think it's going
to become even more enriched in conspiracy driven. You know,
you have the courageous victims coming forward as adults now
to Congress and getting together having a press conference this week,
and they're saying, at least in the interviews, they're going
to put together a client list because obviously they are
(40:28):
the victims of some of these quote unquote clients.
Speaker 6 (40:31):
Right, So.
Speaker 5 (40:33):
Talk about potential, you know, bombshells. You know, we'll see
where that goes, and then we'll see what pressure if
that happens, what that puts on the White House to
really release more of the file than they want to movie.
So you know, we'll have to see. But boy, you know,
(40:53):
this case should have we shouldn't even be talking about
this case. But now it's like, you know, we can't
go a day without talking about this case now. So
and I think you know, you can call me next week.
We'll talk about it some more because something else probably
will happen between now in next week.
Speaker 6 (41:10):
You can almost guarantee it.
Speaker 3 (41:11):
Yeah, you can almost guarantee it.
Speaker 6 (41:13):
Brad, Thanks for the thanks for the insight.
Speaker 3 (41:16):
You're welcome to take care, all right, Brad Garrett, ABC
News Crime and Terrorism Analyst, Live from Washington.
Speaker 7 (41:22):
The Jeffrey Epstein Uh conversation is it won't die and
and we're gonna be dealing with this for a while.
We're gonna be talking about this for a while. One
thing I wanted to highlight coming up in October. If
you have been following this case, one victim who has
(41:46):
kind of been the leading face when it when it
comes to the the victims in this case, She's put
herself out there upfront. She's done multiple interviews. She is
the girl from the infamous picture with Prince Andrew, Virginia Juffree,
who is from Australia. She was highlighted in a lot
(42:08):
of the different documentaries. Now she unfortunately passed back in
April due to suicide, but she had a very horrible
disease at that point in time also so But anyways,
she has an explosive book coming out in October, her Memoirs,
(42:29):
that will be interesting when that is released and things
are exposed in that book that will reignite this conversation because,
as I said, she was one who was very outspoken.
She was not afraid to say names. Obviously with Prince
Andrew of the royal family. That book will be an
(42:53):
interesting read. But back to Jeffrey Epstein and everything. As
I've said, this is going to be an on going conversation,
like it has so many arms, so many tentacles that
reach us to so many different corners of the of
(43:13):
our culture, political, celebrity, money, It's everywhere, it's everywhere. Think
about Glene Maxwell and what's in her head and what
she's seen. I can't believe she's not seeing like a canary.
But I want to see what came out of that
NYC apartment. Nobody's talking about that. Nobody's talking about that.
(43:38):
That's what I want to see. That's what ill I
don't want to see. I don't want to see the
horrible graphic images. But that's that's what I can't believe
people aren't talking about. There's the quote unquote list, does
it exist? Does it not exist? There's the video a
minute and two minutes are missing. Well now they have
the two minutes and all of that. I don't think
we're ever going to get the truth. I mean, otis,
do you think we're ever actually going to know all
(44:01):
the names connected? I don't it'll.
Speaker 6 (44:06):
I think it's bigger than you know. It's too big
to get out because I think there will be too
many names on there that that will crumble. And you know,
if you if you go with your conspiracy theory, there
are a certain amount of people that run this world.
And I got a feeling some of the people that
(44:27):
are on that run the world or on that list.
So but in all honesty, it doesn't affect me, so
I don't really pay a whole lot of attention to it.
I mean, like even the people on the list, they
don't affect me, right, I don't care. Like if Bill
(44:47):
Clinton's on there, I don't care. If Hillary's on there,
I don't care. You know, if Trump's on there, I
don't care. It does you know, it's just you know,
it's really not going to affect me in the long run,
So I don't care.
Speaker 7 (45:01):
Okay, And I understand that. I understand it doesn't affect
you directly. But having that mentality because it doesn't directly
affect you, leaves the door open for people like this
to get away for generation after generation after generation.
Speaker 6 (45:20):
Well, they let him get away with it for too long.
Speaker 7 (45:21):
Of doing this kind of stuff because there's too many
people that.
Speaker 6 (45:25):
Sit back and say he's dead now.
Speaker 7 (45:26):
So I know, it's just I know, but there's too
many people that do sit back and say it doesn't
affect me. And that's how people get away with stuff.
Speaker 6 (45:37):
Not necessarily well, yeah it does.
Speaker 7 (45:38):
It gives them that blanketed.
Speaker 6 (45:41):
There's nothing out there that I can look at it
and say, Okay, this person's guilty, this person's guilty. Just
because your name's on the list doesn't make you guilty.
Speaker 7 (45:48):
Oh no, absolutely not. I agree with you on that.
I agree with you on that. Eight sixteen.
Speaker 6 (45:52):
When we get back, show me proof and then I'll
be concerned.
Speaker 7 (45:57):
Well, okay, when we get back, we're going to let's
talk some ice cream because we have some great flavor
ideas for our friend Kirk. We kind of got into
this yesterday posted on our Facebook page. We've got some
good ones, So we're going to get into that. It's
eight sixteen. As I said, the bloom Daddy Experienced, salmon
Otis News Radio eleven seventy WWVA. Welcome back, eight twenty one,
(46:28):
The bloom Daddy Experience, salmon Otis News Radio, eleven seventy
WWVA on your Friday morning. With that being said, we're
going to get into our second fun question of the day.
So yesterday, of course, with it was our This was yesterday, folks,
was your chance to win a free half gallon of
ice cream from kirks Otis and I we you and
(46:50):
I we just started kind of spitballing creative flavor ideas.
Basically is how it kind of snowballed from there and
people were having with it. So that is what we
posed for our question this morning. A new creative, fun,
out of the box flavor for Kirk's homemade ice cream.
(47:15):
I posted it on our Facebook yesterday because a couple
I think it was about two years ago for some reason.
I was standing there talking to Kirk and I said,
you know, you need to make pickle ice cream. And
he looked at me like I had three eyeballs and
I said, no, listen, think about it. It was there's,
you know, the pickle craze that has taken over everything.
(47:35):
There's pickle soda, there's pickled potato chips, there's pickle everything.
And I told him, I said, there's no pickle ice cream,
so you need to come up with a pickle ice
cream idea. And it snowball from there and he actually
made it and people liked it. So then yesterday I
told that story and notices like, well, we need to
come up with a new flavor. So we were, you know,
(47:56):
just spitballing. The one I came up with was because
has a football kicking off this weekend. I said, Buffalo
wing flavored ice cream, and not the chicken itself, but
the sauces, the hot sauces kind of goes hand in hand,
cool you down but spicy at the same time. So
posted on Facebook, what is a new flavor idea for
(48:18):
Kirks and we got some good responses. I'm gonna kick
it off with this one. Jared said, a chocolate chocolate
salted caramel with pretzels. That sounds that sounds quite good.
And then yesterday otis we got some that we saved
for today. Phone calls that we got if you still
(48:39):
have them written down to you.
Speaker 6 (48:40):
We have chicken, bacon ranch, we have bacon, lettuce, tomato,
we have marijuana, and we have hagis from our good
friend Kevin Cook.
Speaker 7 (48:52):
That's right. What is hagas? Isn't haggis like stomach lining
or something?
Speaker 6 (48:59):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (48:59):
No, than No, I don't even know where you could
buy haggis around here?
Speaker 6 (49:04):
You find it? Just about it? Any?
Speaker 4 (49:06):
Oh?
Speaker 7 (49:06):
I bet Jacob and Sons has it or could get.
Speaker 6 (49:08):
Any any Uh?
Speaker 7 (49:14):
Yeah, yeah, I think I would pass on that. I
would think I would pass on that. Also on Facebook,
Wes says, this sounds up your alley. Otis honey jalapeno.
Speaker 6 (49:28):
Thatd of it kind of goes along with the mango hobbenaro.
Speaker 7 (49:33):
Yes, yes, yes, that's what I was thinking.
Speaker 6 (49:35):
Yes, yeah, so haggis. Traditional haggis is made from minced
sheep's pluck, which is heart, liver, and lungs, along with oatmeal, suet, onions,
and seasoning such as salt, pepper, and nutmeg, traditionally cooked
inside a sheep's stomach.
Speaker 7 (49:56):
So it's a nice big bundle of yom No, no,
thank you. I guess that's Scottish, isn't it. Isn't that
a Scottish delicacy? Yeah? Thank you? Uh, Michael, this is
a fun one. So we had marijuana, right, that comes
with a nice little.
Speaker 6 (50:15):
Yeah perk if you will, a little side effect, a.
Speaker 7 (50:20):
Little bit more flashy than the sprinkle toppings. Anyways, Michael
on Facebook says Jack Daniels and.
Speaker 6 (50:28):
Coke, Well, I know, but it hasn't. Hasn't Kirk made
like a wine flavored ice cream?
Speaker 4 (50:36):
You know? So?
Speaker 6 (50:36):
I mean, so he's done that. Yeah, And I think
there was another one where he did like it was
something like it wasn't it like a vodka, like a
lime lemon lemon type thing.
Speaker 7 (50:49):
It was like a summer I think, like a margarita
sort of. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (50:54):
There you go margarita or pinicle. Well, I think he
does have pinck latta.
Speaker 7 (50:58):
Yeah, Margarita would be good. So I put I put it.
I put some thought into this, okay, besides the buffalo wing.
Then I tried to be creative, but yet odd, it's
the same. Why are you laughing?
Speaker 6 (51:13):
I know something just ran through my head and I
can't say it on airone.
Speaker 7 (51:15):
Okay, do you had that look? Okay? So what about
I think he already does this one?
Speaker 6 (51:21):
But s'mores Okay, I've seen that.
Speaker 7 (51:24):
Okay. And if you were a kid of the eighties
and nineties when we were sick, they you would get
this medicine. I always called it bubblegum medicine. I believe
it was a moxicilin it was. It was, Yes, love
the tapes of that medicine. So bubblegum ice cream kind of.
Speaker 6 (51:44):
With that flavors bubblegum ice cream out there?
Speaker 3 (51:46):
Is there?
Speaker 6 (51:47):
Oh okay, I've seen it before, like they actually have
pieces of bubble gum in the ice cream.
Speaker 7 (51:53):
Oh yeah, okay, you're right, You're right. What about mac
and cheese ice cream?
Speaker 6 (52:04):
That'd be interesting, that would be I don't know if
i'd want noodles in because when they freeze, they're gonna
be hard, so it's not going to have that texture
of mac and chain.
Speaker 7 (52:12):
Yeah, okay, I didn't. I didn't. I didn't put sticks
into it.
Speaker 6 (52:18):
Unless you unless you really like get them super thin,
they're still going to be rather crunchy. But yeah, that's
that's an interesting line.
Speaker 7 (52:27):
Raven on Facebook says, grape. I don't know if grape
ice cream. Maybe a grape sherbet would be good. I
don't know about ice cream though. Uh but yeah, if
you want to jump in on this conversation, we want
some good ideas, We want some good fun ideas. Yesterday
(52:48):
on our text line, which by the way, you can
reach out on our text seven zero four seven zero,
start the message off with bloom Daddy, we got one
pineapple cream cheese.
Speaker 6 (53:00):
That would be interesting.
Speaker 7 (53:01):
That would be interesting. I don't know about the two together.
Speaker 6 (53:05):
But what just about like how about nacho cheese and klipino?
Speaker 7 (53:14):
Yeah, almost like a nacho like like nacho.
Speaker 6 (53:18):
A nacho toppy type thing.
Speaker 7 (53:20):
Yeah, that could be that could be fun.
Speaker 6 (53:23):
But I mean but then you mix it in with
the ice cream, and I don't know how that would
go over.
Speaker 7 (53:27):
I'm just thinking, like ice cream is milky.
Speaker 6 (53:29):
Yeah, Like, like I'm not going to drink a glass
of milk with nachos and cheese. That's just gross.
Speaker 7 (53:35):
My husband drinks milk with pizza.
Speaker 6 (53:37):
Oh, that's weird all the time.
Speaker 7 (53:39):
He always has to have a big glass of milk
with pizza. Maybe that could be one a twenty eight.
Speaker 6 (53:44):
It is National Cheese Pizza Day, so we could do
a National Cheese Pizza ice cream Call.
Speaker 7 (53:48):
Us one hundred and sixty four eleven seventy. You're listening
to the Blue Daddy Experience salmon Otis News Radio eleven
seventy on your Friday. So we're having some fun this morning.
We're talking ice cream and creative crazy ice cream flavors.
That's what we posted last night on our Facebook because
(54:09):
it kind of started off yesterday on a whim in
a conversation and of course we know an ice cream
guy and during the break Otis, I got a text.
I got a couple text from that crazy ice cream guy.
So first of all, today they are making a new flavor, Elderberry.
Speaker 6 (54:30):
OK.
Speaker 7 (54:30):
So that will be hitting the coolers probably this weekend.
So a new flavor is coming to Kirk's elderberry. But
then he reached out and said, put together a list
of the flavor recommendations. By then we'll take the top choices. Okay,
(54:51):
have our folks vote out of those top let's say
maybe three or five choices, whichever one wins.
Speaker 6 (55:01):
Okay.
Speaker 7 (55:02):
He will attempt to make if it's possible, if it's
something yeah, yeah, no, I get ridiculous off the wall
right right, like Hagis will make it, and then we'll
have a give away of that flavor.
Speaker 6 (55:18):
So maybe we should do a sampling of it.
Speaker 7 (55:21):
Yeah, well, we'll work out the uh, work out the details,
the specifics. So he is willing to give some of
these flavors a try.
Speaker 6 (55:29):
How about this as a kid, you know, you like
like the cinnamon sugar covered toast.
Speaker 7 (55:36):
I have that on here. I have cinnamon sugar toast,
just one of my flavors, honest to god, cinnamon sugar toast. Yep,
I still eat that for breakfast sometimes, you.
Speaker 6 (55:47):
Know, I mean like I don't know, And Kirk could
answer this, but like, you know, and it's probably expensive
to make because honey's not cheap. But anything like if
you could do something like like if you could go
back and and get something from your childhood that you
that you was very like how about how about how
about if you did it with pop rocks? Yeah, I
(56:12):
mean if you made ice cream with pop rocks and
then you then as you're eating the ice cream, you
get them little things.
Speaker 7 (56:17):
Going off they pop in your mouth. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (56:19):
Yeah, So I mean that was one of the things
that popped into my head, you know, because you could
do like Smarties, uh huh, Skittles, Yeah, Skittles. I'm trying
to think of something that maybe hasn't been done, like okay,
like I can't stand them, but like Neco wafers.
Speaker 7 (56:38):
Oh, that's that's Grandma Candid.
Speaker 6 (56:41):
I know. But I'm just saying, I mean, that's you
could do something of that nature.
Speaker 7 (56:44):
That's what Grandma always had in the bottom of her purse.
Speaker 6 (56:47):
Yeah, I mean, like, because you know you can you
can go and you know, obviously there's other ice cream
establishments that do mixes of like Oreos and Reese Cups
and stuff like that. So I mean you can do
all that M and M's, you know.
Speaker 7 (57:01):
I mean there's always stuff like Okay, I'm thinking of
thinking of Cracker Barrel and their their little snack area.
All the old timey candy makes me think of like
black jack gom oh god, isn't that the licorice? Yeah,
but you're talking about old time you know.
Speaker 6 (57:18):
Yeah, yeah, no, I get it.
Speaker 7 (57:22):
Fun dip the.
Speaker 6 (57:23):
Fun dip powder where the Pixi sticks.
Speaker 7 (57:26):
Yeah, same thing, Yeah, sort of the same thing.
Speaker 6 (57:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (57:29):
I can't believe you said cinnamon sugar toos.
Speaker 6 (57:33):
You know.
Speaker 7 (57:34):
Now, this wasn't off the wall one I had besides
the mac and cheese. Because of the weather yesterday, it
made me think of this grilled cheese and tomato soup.
Speaker 6 (57:44):
M I could that would be interesting.
Speaker 7 (57:48):
Not sure how you would pull it off, but I
think that would be a fun one too. That would
be Now, this one on Facebook that we received is
very specific from Chris and it says do buy chocolate Strawberry.
I wonder if that is a brand of chocolate. I'm
not familiar. I'm not familiar with that.
Speaker 6 (58:10):
Well, you know that you see all these mixes of candies,
you know what you don't see like the like the
thin mints mixed in with I mean you have like
mint chocolate chip, you know, but they basically take like
an Andy's candy or York peppermint patty or something to
do that. But I mean that would probably be fall
under like mint chocolate chip.
Speaker 7 (58:29):
Yeah, yeah, because I wrote down malted milk ball. But
then but then, well, but then you get malts that
are you know, the milkshake with the malt flavoring. So
that's kind of already there and been done.
Speaker 6 (58:43):
I kind of like the Jack and Coke and the
margarita myself.
Speaker 7 (58:47):
It's a little bit more adult themed.
Speaker 6 (58:49):
Well you could do you could do margarita because they
make the mixes. Yeah, and you could put the mix
in and not have to put any alcohol, right, It's
just kind of like peanut colada. Or you could do
bloody Mary. Yeah, that would be interesting.
Speaker 7 (59:05):
On Facebook, Susan said when I said anything with bacon, Oh,
that's right. We forgot about the banking part. Candied apple
that would be good.
Speaker 6 (59:14):
That would be apple and caramel.
Speaker 7 (59:16):
Yeah yeah, wait when they go back here, we had
we had another good.
Speaker 6 (59:21):
One about popcorn. Well, if you've got him written down, Sam, well.
Speaker 7 (59:30):
Because I didn't want to. I didn't want to just
randomly just read a list.
Speaker 6 (59:34):
I mean, don't yell at me because I say something
that's on your list, but you say it yourself.
Speaker 7 (59:40):
You're stealing my thunder.
Speaker 4 (59:42):
No.
Speaker 7 (59:43):
Yeah, so it would be uh yeah, popcorn because I
was thinking not just straight up popcorn. I was thinking, oh,
what is it butterflavored cracker Jacks? Is it cracker Jack's?
Speaker 6 (01:00:00):
How about stink? Everybody? And I don't know, maybe he
already does it. Stink said canalope?
Speaker 7 (01:00:09):
Cannleope?
Speaker 6 (01:00:10):
You do watermelon? Is there a watermelon ice cream out there?
Speaker 4 (01:00:14):
No?
Speaker 7 (01:00:14):
I don't know. Watermelon and cannilope would be more.
Speaker 6 (01:00:18):
Of a It would be a breakfast ice cream, a
Grandpa ice cream.
Speaker 7 (01:00:24):
No, wadlep ew that's boring, that's gross, not gross. But
candle loop doesn't really have any flavor.
Speaker 6 (01:00:32):
Yes it does, I don't know it doesn't.
Speaker 7 (01:00:35):
Of course, stink brings up a canalope?
Speaker 6 (01:00:40):
How about kiwi k We could be good.
Speaker 7 (01:00:44):
But when you go the fruit route, that again, that's
more of like a sherbet.
Speaker 6 (01:00:49):
Not necessarily. I mean you have raspberry, blueberry, lemon. I
mean you got all kinds of fruits that are in
ice cream. Ding dong, yeah, strawberry, raspberry, black cherry.
Speaker 7 (01:01:00):
Your point is made, all right. I challenge him to
do the grilled cheese and tomato soup in the Wing
Buffalo Wing.
Speaker 6 (01:01:10):
Yeah, I mean in the chicken bacon ranch. That would be.
Speaker 7 (01:01:13):
Interesting, That would be good. Let's see, wait, I just
he made he they've made lavender ice cream also, sorry, Kirk.
Speaker 6 (01:01:23):
Yeah, that just doesn't sound appealing to me.
Speaker 7 (01:01:25):
Sounds like soap, like lick at a bar of soap.
I guess it's a balance of not using not using
too much. But I don't know. There's somebody else on
the crazy flavor train. Pringles They're doing now Here we
Go Smoky Bank. They have new flavors, especially line coming
(01:01:47):
out Smoky Bacon, Smoky mess keep Barbecue, a barbecue ice
cream that could be interesting, Smoky cheddar and sharp white cheddar.
But then they also have Here we Go Cinnamon and
Sugar and a Jalapeno queso, and they are all those
new flavors are available nationwide, happening this month. But then
(01:02:09):
now Snickers has teamed up with the Buffalo quarterback of course,
Josh Allen. Now this is where it's a little an
odd collaboration. Snickers and Josh Allen are releasing a limited
edition of sauces I'm guessing Wing Sauces Buffalo Buffalo wings,
(01:02:32):
the whole thing. They're gonna have caramel, buffalo, chocolate, barbecue,
and peanut terioki, which of course are the main ingredients
classic ingredients found in Snickers. It will be released on
September seventh, which of course is Sunday at halftime. So
(01:02:55):
Snickers Buffalo Bill's quarterback.
Speaker 6 (01:02:58):
I've got the ice cream flavor.
Speaker 7 (01:03:00):
Oh god, the arms are up and everything.
Speaker 6 (01:03:02):
Chili lime, chili lime.
Speaker 7 (01:03:07):
Huh. That doesn't sound bad. That doesn't sound bad at all.
Speaker 6 (01:03:13):
That's going on the list.
Speaker 7 (01:03:14):
That's going on the list, going on the list. We
got to we're gonna figure out how we're gonna whittle
it down to.
Speaker 6 (01:03:19):
The Well, we'll pick like the top five or six. Yeah,
and we'll pick those.
Speaker 7 (01:03:23):
And then then everybody else can yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:03:26):
And then well then you can vote on it.
Speaker 7 (01:03:28):
We'll put a pole up on our Facebook.
Speaker 6 (01:03:30):
Wow, we're going to do a pole.
Speaker 7 (01:03:31):
We've done poles.
Speaker 6 (01:03:35):
Maybe you have.
Speaker 7 (01:03:36):
I even gave you the window of time to come
up with that.
Speaker 6 (01:03:40):
And I was like, I was like, do I say
it or do I not say it? Do I say
it or do I not say it? That's a let
it rip.
Speaker 7 (01:03:46):
Oh, it's a forty six. The Blue Daddy experienced salmon
Otis News Radio eleven seventy.
Speaker 6 (01:03:51):
W w V A.
Speaker 7 (01:04:00):
Welcome back eight fifty on your Friday. The Blue Daddy
experienced salmon OTAs News Radio eleven seventy w w VA.
On our text line, we got a couple more flavors.
Beef jerky, I think we threw that out yesterday. Or
sweet chili flavored ice cream.
Speaker 6 (01:04:16):
It goes with chili lime. It's not bad, but the
man who gave us hagis says that he has the
winning ice cream flavor time. Okay, give it to us,
Give it to us.
Speaker 4 (01:04:32):
I've got Mike's Hot Honey crunch.
Speaker 6 (01:04:36):
Okay is that a brand name of something.
Speaker 4 (01:04:41):
It's a brand name of honey.
Speaker 6 (01:04:42):
Okay, Oh oh oyody.
Speaker 4 (01:04:44):
Knows who Mike's Hot Honey is.
Speaker 6 (01:04:46):
Well, not everybody.
Speaker 4 (01:04:47):
You've never had Mike's Hot Honey.
Speaker 6 (01:04:48):
I have never had Mike's Hot Honey.
Speaker 7 (01:04:50):
I'm looking at it and I'm pulling it up.
Speaker 6 (01:04:53):
Pretty much.
Speaker 7 (01:04:54):
Yes, okay, Mike's Hot Honey.
Speaker 6 (01:04:58):
I've never even heard him ever heard of it?
Speaker 4 (01:05:01):
No way hot honey. Yeah. See, everybody in the room
that I'm with right now I heard of Yeah. They
put it on Peace so they put it on everything.
Speaker 6 (01:05:10):
We live sheltered lives, you must, that's sad. So just
just just let you know.
Speaker 4 (01:05:17):
Okay, Well, when you go to Kroger today, go over
where the honey ale is and get you some mic
hot honey. You don't like peanut butter, It's awesome on
peanut butter.
Speaker 6 (01:05:27):
Okay, Okay, it's got a little spice.
Speaker 4 (01:05:29):
To it, does chicken wings.
Speaker 6 (01:05:32):
So here's the This is the only thing we were
talking about. The drawback to mixing honey with the ice
cream is honey is normally a little more expensive than
some of your other flavorings.
Speaker 4 (01:05:40):
Well, see, we didn't we didn't say we had to
have a you know, cost effective.
Speaker 6 (01:05:44):
I understand that, I understand a budget.
Speaker 4 (01:05:46):
No one presented a budget.
Speaker 6 (01:05:48):
But I'm looking out for Kirk. You know, Kirk. Kirk
doesn't have deep pockets like you know Kevin Cook.
Speaker 4 (01:05:54):
Oh yeah, right right, he's got He's got the awesome
ice cream though he does, he does, and it's just
insanely good.
Speaker 6 (01:06:02):
So what's insanely good at Automotive?
Speaker 4 (01:06:05):
And then we're still we're still rocking. It's still celebrating
these Honda stores. Okay, okay, I mean seriously. You know,
year to day number one and number two in the
state of West Virginia. Right here Strab Automotive Groups Straw,
Honta at the Highlands, and Mountaineer Honda over there in Bridgeport.
I mean, these guys are just knocking the cover off
the ball. We talked about it, kind of like did
(01:06:27):
the Pirates end up winning last night?
Speaker 6 (01:06:28):
Yes? They did. Wow, smet the Dodgers.
Speaker 4 (01:06:33):
That's incredible. Everybody ought to be happy about that. So
knocking the cover off the ball here at the Strab
Automotive Group. Honda's doing it every day. We've got a
great selection, we got great deals that are already coming out.
You can log on to drive Straw dot com. You
can see for yourself just how much money you can save.
I mean, you know, we are just making it happen
(01:06:54):
every day with hondas number one selling vehicle right here
in the Ohio Valley. Plus now we're getting real close
with Hyundai. We talked about them before. We talked about
putting forth the effort to make Hyundai number one in
the state and our Nissan score number one in the state.
So everything up here at the Highlands is right on
the verge collectively being the number one group in the state.
(01:07:16):
So we're really really proud of what's going on, really
really proud of the effort that our teams are putting
forward to do this, and grateful for each and every
customer that did business with us last month, whether it
was new car sales, used car sales, Honda, Hunday, Nissan,
Cross the Vage, Deep Bram or Forward Body Shop. You know,
like I say, service guys, we really appreciate the valley.
(01:07:37):
We really appreciate everybody here that comes up and honors
us with their business. Really happy, and.
Speaker 6 (01:07:44):
You know, it is the first of the month still,
you know, technicals, you know, so.
Speaker 4 (01:07:47):
It is, but we treat, you know, we treat every
day like it's the last day of the month. Okay,
all right, We're trying to put deals together every day
on the first day of the month, just like we
are on the last day. These guys work really really
hard to make sure that you know, the people are
coming in and they have their budget set up, all right,
get back to the budget again. They've got a budget
set up. We try to do everything we can to
(01:08:09):
fit that payment or fit that price into their budget
and make it easier for them to drive away today
with the vehicle that they that they're searching for. Okay,
all right, Mike's Hot Honey.
Speaker 6 (01:08:21):
Okay, got it. I've got it written down when we talk.
Speaker 4 (01:08:24):
When we talk, Mondy, I want I want to hear
about it.
Speaker 6 (01:08:27):
Okay, Wow, I got a timeline. I gotta do this
on I feel like I got a homework.
Speaker 7 (01:08:31):
So you have a weekend excitement. You gotta do, you do?
Speaker 4 (01:08:34):
They also make Mike's Hot Honey potato chips that are incredible.
Speaker 6 (01:08:37):
Did they make Mike's Hard lemonade too?
Speaker 4 (01:08:41):
No, that's you can drink that with.
Speaker 7 (01:08:44):
That's a different mic, different mic, different mic.
Speaker 6 (01:08:47):
Okay, but I.
Speaker 4 (01:08:48):
Want to hear about it. Money makes it a little
bit of crunchy peanut butter.
Speaker 6 (01:08:52):
All right, all right, that's our that's our assignment. We'll talk.
Speaker 4 (01:08:56):
Put it on ice cream.
Speaker 6 (01:08:57):
There you go? Okay. I like how that sounds. All right?
Speaker 4 (01:09:00):
Bye bye bye?
Speaker 6 (01:09:02):
Oh sorry, a little trigger figure there. It's time for
him to go anywhay.
Speaker 7 (01:09:06):
I like we were both like I've never heard of that.
Speaker 6 (01:09:08):
Yeah, and we get scolded.
Speaker 7 (01:09:09):
I know, I know what about this one? French toast
and bacon, A little bit of sugar, little bit of sweet,
little bit of salty.
Speaker 6 (01:09:18):
Mm hmm. Yeah, that doesn't sound bad. It kind of
goes with the cinnamon toast. Yeah, kind of thing you said.
Speaker 7 (01:09:24):
Today is National Cheese Pizza Day.
Speaker 6 (01:09:26):
Like that's it. Cheese pizza is like the basically the
most boring pizza you can.
Speaker 7 (01:09:30):
Get, kind of like white bread.
Speaker 6 (01:09:32):
It's like the plain white bread.
Speaker 7 (01:09:34):
Yeah, it's like the the plain white bread version of pizza.
Here's the here's the kicker. It's also National Cellullite Day.
So those two kind of go hand in hand.
Speaker 6 (01:09:44):
That's something that you always want to see.
Speaker 7 (01:09:47):
And it's also National be Late for Something.
Speaker 6 (01:09:51):
Today, thinking through in green Apple, green Apple, that.
Speaker 7 (01:09:55):
Would be good. I actually know somebody that celebrates National
be Late for Something Day every day.
Speaker 6 (01:10:01):
Yeah, not mentioning any names, Alicia, No no names out there.
Speaker 7 (01:10:07):
Also, of course it's a big weekend mentioned NFL kicks
off college football of course week two underway.
Speaker 6 (01:10:14):
Who do the Buckeyes have tomorrow? Youngstown State?
Speaker 7 (01:10:19):
I don't, honestly, I don't know. I haven't looked yet.
Speaker 6 (01:10:22):
I like the big highest state fan. I don't even
know who they play. WVU travels to a high university tomorrow.
Speaker 7 (01:10:29):
Oh yeah, I don't know who we play. There's not
really any real big games. Michigan number thirteen takes.
Speaker 6 (01:10:35):
They played Grambling State tomorrow.
Speaker 7 (01:10:37):
I don't even know where is Grambling State.
Speaker 6 (01:10:39):
Grambling's a historically black college where Eddie Robinson, the famous
coach play or coached, Hall of Fame coach. It's somewhere
in the South. I want to say, Louisiana.
Speaker 7 (01:10:53):
Oh, sorry, I was not familiar. And then, of course,
as I said, NFL kicks off, the Steelers take on
the Jets, Jets, Jets, j E t S. This has
a little bit of an interesting quarterback swirl going on.
Of course, last year Aaron Rodgers was with the Jets,
and then the Jets quarterback was with the Steelers, and
(01:11:15):
now it's kind of a little bit of a vice
vice versus Justin Fields. I'm sorry, that was the quarterback
that was with the Steelers. So, and then the Browns
take on the Bengals. Battle of Ohio kicks off Week one.
Hey to say it, but I think the Bengals are
going to win.
Speaker 6 (01:11:31):
Grambling State is in Louisiana.
Speaker 7 (01:11:32):
Oh okay, well everybody.
Speaker 6 (01:11:35):
It's in Grambling, Louisiana.
Speaker 7 (01:11:37):
Oh that makes sense.
Speaker 6 (01:11:41):
Educating you at the end of the week when they
play Southern. It's one of the greatest games of all
It's nationally televised, but the game doesn't even matter because
it's the battle with the bands. The bands are the best.
Speaker 7 (01:11:52):
Okay, so were they the whole dance? Okay, okay, all right,
I got ya. Everybody. Have a wonderful Friday, have a
wonderful weekend. We'll talk to you Monday.
