Speaker 1 (00:00):
Indeed number one tuck show in the Ohio Alley. This
is the bloom Daddy Experience. Your host, bloom Daddy. His
goal inform, entertain and tick people off. The bloom Daddy
Experience on news Radio eleven seventy WWVA starts now.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
The bloom Daddy Experience.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
It's seven oh six on news Radio eleven seventy Toma.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Talks and Politics.

Speaker 3 (00:27):
Jim or and Acy, former Congressman Blue Daddy showed political
analyst Jim Donald Trump versus Marjorie Taylor Green this spat
he's calling or crazy. She's always been crazy, but he
was okay with it when she was doing everything that
he wanted, kissing the ring. Now all of a sudden
she's pushing back when the Epstein files and now she's crazy.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
The bass doesn't care.

Speaker 3 (00:48):
But when it comes to independent voters, specifically women, what
do you think they're thinking about this?

Speaker 4 (00:56):
Well, boom Daddy again, thanks for having me on. It's interesting.
Have to chuckle because Marjorie Taylor Green, most people did
think she was crazy, and Donald Trump loved her. He
absolutely loved her because she was, as you said, kissing
the ring, talking about what a great president she was.
She was everywhere. Anytime he showed up, she was there.
If he was having a vent at Marlogas, she was there.

(01:17):
And she was just his number one fan until she
wasn't his number one fan. And Epstein files came out
and she crossed the line. And at this point in time,
you're right now he's calling her crazy, you know. And
it's amazing what happens when you don't toe the line
with President Trump, especially in issues like this. And it's

(01:40):
sad because I got to tell you when I was
in Congress, there were times I did not toe the
line with President Trump and he used to be okay
with it. That's changed a little bit because he doesn't
want to lose the complete control of the Republican Party,
which he has now and he and he's continuing the
who's a piece here, a piece there? And he sees

(02:02):
that as a problem. So I think that's really the
main reason.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
Well, he changed course last night, Jim on the release
of the records related to Jeffrey Epstein.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Now he's all four it, And is.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
That because you had about one hundred Republicans expected to
break ranks and it would look very bad for him
and House Speaker Mike Johnson if that happened, because then
everybody's going to be saying, uh, oh, look who lost
control of the GOP.

Speaker 4 (02:29):
Well bloom Daddy. I said. One of the reasons Mike
Johnson did not bring the House back is they had
four Republicans. Marjorie Taylor Green was one of them. Massey
Bober and Mace were four people who the Democrats needed
to get to two eighteen to be able to vote
on releasing these files. I believe for the last eight weeks,

(02:53):
the Speaker and everybody else has been trying to pull
one of those four away from that vote, away from
that discharge petition. Once the administration realized that that discharge
petition was going to happen and those four were not
going to break, I think the President realized that, Look,
even if Jim Ornacy was still in Congress and I
had to vote to release them, absolutely, I'm going to

(03:15):
vote to release them.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
Now.

Speaker 4 (03:16):
If the vote never came forward, you know what, I
wouldn't have to make that vote. But I think there'd
be more than a hundred. I actually think most Republicans
would have voted along the side of let's release everything.
And I do believe President Trump saw that he realized
it was going to look bad for him, and he
realized he'd better just come out and say, yes, let's

(03:36):
release them.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
So, Jim, is this rift in the GOP a big
deal in your mind?

Speaker 4 (03:42):
Well, I think it's the start. I mean, look, there's
some other problems out there with jd Vance and Tucker Carlson.
So there's a bunch of rifts going on that I
think could be a problem. Look, politics is like keeping
frogs in a barrel. It's hard to do, and we
used to talk about that all the time. It's almost impossible.
And President Trump's been able to keep all the frogs

(04:03):
in a barrel for a long time. There's a few
jumping out. When they all start jumping, that could be
a serious problem.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
Talking to Jim or Nacy, former Congressman bloom Daddy showed
political analyst, look, Biden had these files for what four years,
three years, whatever it may be. If there was something
in there damaging to Trump, I would have to assume
they would have been released because they did everything they
could to damage this guy. So what was he worried about?

(04:30):
What he campaigned on this, Then all of a sudden
it's out. It's no big deal. What could possibly be
in there? And do you think there's stuff in there
that will damage both parties?

Speaker 4 (04:41):
I do. I think there's things in there. And look,
I think you're going to see President Trump's name all
over the place, not in a way that damages him,
but just in a way that his name is there.
And I think that was the big thing for President Trump.
I have heard from insiders that his name is there
a number of times, more than a hundred, might've been

(05:01):
more than five hundred times in these files. And I
think because of that, he just didn't want to be
tied to Epstein. Nobody should want to be tied to Epstein. Now,
on the other side, I think Biden was probably thinking
the same thing. There are some people on the Democrat
side that probably it's not Joe Biden, but I'm sure
there's some Democrat people and some strong donors and some

(05:23):
individuals who Biden said, look, I'm not bringing this stuff
to the table because it's not worth it. Now. In
the end, they're all going to be damaged. And look,
if you were a friend of Jeffrey Epstein's, and if
you were around Jeffrey Epstein, and if you participated, especially
which that's a whole other level. I don't think the
American people are going to put up with it. And

(05:44):
I think, you know, just being associated, even if it
was just having your name associated. I think President Trump's
a little concerned about that, but he'll just have to
work through it. I don't think there's anything in there
incriminating would have been out already.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
Yeah, that's my point.

Speaker 3 (05:58):
Did you ever think in your lifetime that you would
see Donald Trump get pushed back from so many within
his own party and reverse course.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
Because of it.

Speaker 4 (06:11):
No, And that's a great point. I think President Trump
wants to hold the line. If you don't hold the
line with him, he discards you very quickly. And he's
tried to, as I said, he's tried to keep the
frogs in the barrel. The problem is that frogs are
starting to jump now on this issue. And look, whether
you got Massey Paul. You know Massey. Now they're calling rhino.

(06:35):
Massy's the furthest thing from a rhino. Senator Paul's not
a rhino either. But those two have held their positions
and President Trump has tried to ignore them, but he's
isolated them. The problem is, I think this vote tomorrow,
it's going to be too big of a number to isolate.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
Yeah, you know, it's a shame that. You know, we
want people to have backbones. We don't want people to
to be sheep. But when they do have a backbone,
the name calling starts. I mean, it's like you can't
win no matter what you do. And I'll tell you,
I mean, I think it's probably my biggest negative when
it comes to Trump. The people most loyal to him,

(07:15):
he will crap on them. He will chuck him to
the curb if they don't kiss the ring. And that
says a lot about somebody's character.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
Well, look, I.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
Agree with that. I was a very close friend of
Donald Trump and over the years, and I can tell
you in many cases, it's not what you did for
him yesterday, it's what you do for him today. And
there are some people like that. But he's clearly one
of those people. But look, I think I've also told
you this. There. I think are polling shows that seventy
percent of Americans love what Donald Trump's trying to accomplish,

(07:53):
but seventy percent also don't like the way he's trying
to accomplish it. And it goes for that single issue
as well too, So you know, it's a very interesting
He's become a very interesting, interesting influence in American politics,
that's for sure.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
Jim, thanks for the time, Thank you, good morning.

Speaker 5 (08:17):
I'm beeboffin to the music here, sorry, seven nineteen on
your Tuesday, The bloom Daddy Experience, Sam and Otis News
Radio eleven seventy WWVA nice one, Otis. That's a good
uh wake you up, get you moving.

Speaker 6 (08:31):
Now, Yeah, it is. It's wonderful.

Speaker 5 (08:35):
Looking at me like I'm crazy, you know what's not crazy.
We have chances to win this morning. We have more
so we have another pair of Motown Christmas. The show's
happening December thirteenth. We're gonna have those coming up here
later in the show. And then we have another pair
to see the screening of Christmas Vacation, of course, the

(08:57):
holiday classic. We're here at the Capitol Theater. That's ninth.
But it is followed up by a Q and a
session with the star himself, Chevy Chase. So we have
chances for those this morning for you to win. And
then of course tomorrow we're coming up on midday midweek,
so with it being Wednesday tomorrow, it is our free
lunch drawing courtesy of our friends at River City. Now,

(09:21):
all you need to do to register for that is
email sam at iHeartMedia dot com. Otis and I both
share that again, that's sam at iHeartMedia dot com. We
just need your name, phone number, and company and that
gets you in the registration for our free lunches. So

(09:42):
get those in also. So plenty of plenty of stuff
going on today. Want to jump into some national top
headlines for you. The House is prepping for a vote
release of all of the Jeffrey Epstein files. The Chambers
expected to take up procedural measures today which could start

(10:03):
to pave the way to force the Department of Justice
to release all of the Epstein investigation files. It comes
as newly released documents show President Trump mentioned in the
emails with from Epstein dating back to two thousand and eleven.
President Trump is continuing to promote affordability as consumers navigate

(10:23):
high prices. The president delivered remarks yesterday to an audience
of McDonald's owners, operators, and suppliers during its Impact summit
in Washington, d C. Trump touted the fast food giant
during his speech, along with praising the economy. Also, President
Trump says he's got nothing to do with the Jeffrey

(10:46):
Epstein investigation. While meeting with reporters in the Oval Office
on Monday, Trump was asked again if he supports the
Justice Department releasing all of the files relating to Epstein.
Trump said he's all for it, then added his worried
the Epstein issue is drawing attention away from his focus
on affordability for Americans. The United Nations Security Council is

(11:08):
signing off on President Trump's peace plan for Gaza. The
plan calls for the creation of an international stabilization force
in a transitional authority overseen by Trump. The authority, called
the Board of Peace, will be led by Trump himself
to manage government and reconstruction in Gaza after months of
war with Israel and the FAA. We all know coming

(11:32):
up next week busy travel season for the holidays. The
FAA ordered flight reductions over at airports across the US.
A reduction in flights at dozens of major airports began
a week ago to help address fatigue and staffing issues
among air traffic controllers during the record long government shut down.

(11:53):
So maybe by next week things will lighten up. Are
you planning on traveling anywhere for Thanksgiving? Notice? Are you
staying grounded? You staying here? The farthest side go would
be Morgantown, that's furthest Yeah, I think we're heading to Columbus.
I think we're heading to Columbus. I started thinking about Thanksgiving?

(12:15):
It did it not? Is it just me? Or did
it just come very quickly this year? Like boom? Over
the weekend, I was joining some stuff and I'm like, oh,
we got a week and then the following week is Thanksgiving.
I thought we had another week before we got.

Speaker 6 (12:32):
To the hall.

Speaker 5 (12:33):
No, folks, it is. It is next week. It feels
like it came out of out of nowhere, out of
absolutely nowhere. So it's, uh, it's knocking on the door.
It is knocking on the door. But what else is
knocking on the door? Locally? With Thanksgiving right around the corner,
that means the parade is back here on Main Street

(12:58):
in Wheeling. So the city and parade officials wanted to
let you know about a lot of road closures and
traffic situations that will happen in regards to the Fantasy
and Lights Parade because it is returning to the original
route here on Main Street. Now they are saying that

(13:21):
the event will stop off at twentieth in Market Streets
then proceed north. Now drivers should be aware of numerous
street closures during the events. So here here is a
handful of some of the street closures for you to
be aware of. Portions of Market Street will close at
five pm, with additional closures near Center Market at five

(13:44):
forty five, and then there will be others throughout the evening.
The Wheeling Police Department will also close off the ramps
at one A, the exit of downtown from the Tunnel
and the Fort Henry Bridge starting at six point fifteen.
So parade goers are urged to be cautious due to
the new streetscape project. Free parking will be available in

(14:08):
designated areas, but vehicles left out for five pm will
be towed. So Otis, we need to be out of
here by five pm. For latest traffic updates, they are
directing you to the Wheeling Police Department's Facebook page. I
wanted to go back to the statement about the street
skate project. I know I've been critical, Otis, you and

(14:30):
I both have been critical about the street skate project,
But if you have not been to Downtown Wheeling since
the completion, whether you're driving or whether you're walking, it
is very different than the way it used to be.
So the sidewalks are very different. There are the quote
unquote bump out planters that you have to be very

(14:52):
cautious of because they are deep and the edges of
them are very tall. They are a tripping hazard. I've
said it's in the beginning. So if you are coming
down for the parade and you are not used to
the new layout, the new configuration, please uh please pay

(15:14):
attention to that because you could you could lose a
small child in some of them, to be honest with you.
So those are just a couple of things to be
aware of if you are coming to downtown for the
Christmas parade, which, by the way, I need to decorate
the windows out front. I haven't gotten to that yet.
Otis you want to help me?

Speaker 6 (15:32):
That's a negative?

Speaker 5 (15:36):
Okay, Well I can see I get no assistance on that.
That'll be fun, because you know, it's always great. The
front of our building, of course, is the capital. Three
of our studios have nice big windows. Well, those windows
are what I decorate for the parade and for the
holiday season. There's a lot of climbing, there's a lot
of up and down. Here's the other thing that's great,

(15:59):
there's a lot of not the best views for the
drivers as they go past those windows as I am
hanging and bending and yeah, I remember last year, I
wasn't paying attention and they're doing my thing and starting
to get here in all these horns. Well, yeah, my
backside was right pointed out the windows. So that was

(16:20):
a great entertaining factor, I'm sure for a lot of
those drivers. And I kept thinking, why are all these
people honking? Is there an accident somewhere? Is there is there?
You know what's going on? No, it was me. It
was me that was That was quite embarrassing. So I'm
going to be a little bit. I'm gonna be a
little bit more cognizant of that this year so that
nobody has to deal with that view. Oh, as I said,

(16:44):
we have a couple of chances for you to win
this morning. Those are coming up. Of course, We've got
Motown Christmas here at the Capitol on December thirteenth, and
then we have another pair of Christmas vacation viewing here
at the Capitol, which is December ninth, followed up by
A Q and A with Chevy Chase. So we have
those for you here coming up in a little bit.

(17:07):
It's seven twenty eight. You hear that music, you know
what that means. It's time to go to a break.
You're listening to the bloom Daddy Experience Sam and Otis
here on News Radio eleven seventy WWVA. Welcome back at

(17:28):
seven thirty six on this Tuesday. Thank you for tuning in.
You're listening to the bloom Daddy Experience with Otis and Sam
here on News Radio eleven seventy WWVA. Thanks to our
man on the street, I'm gonna give him a title.
Kirk Porterfield. He reminded us before the break, we were
talking about all of the reconfiguration and road closures and

(17:50):
things for the Fantasy and Lights Parade coming up Friday. Well,
one thing he pointed out, there is also a Home
Nailers game Friday too. That is the puck drops at
six thirty, so that will be additional parking, car traffic, everything.
So downtown Wheeling Friday is going.

Speaker 4 (18:11):
To be.

Speaker 5 (18:14):
Quite busy. It's going to be quite busy. So if
you are planning on coming down here, please, you know,
give yourself plenty of time to prepare for all of
the incoming people when in road closures and ram closures
and all of that, so be prepared for all of that.
Some local news for you. One person is hurt after

(18:38):
a car slammed into a doctor's office in Winnersville. Authority
say the incident happened yesterday when an suv went off
the road and slammed into the side of doctor Grant's
bedetary office on Main Street. The victim was sent to
the hospital, where their condition isn't known. The crash is
currently under investigation. Some good news, the local elementary school

(19:01):
is being recognized by the US News and World Report.
Hills Elementary School in Minga Junction made the list of
best elementary schools in Ohio, ranking in the top forty percent.
The rankings are based on student performance in state required
math and reading tests and how well schools prepare students

(19:23):
for later grades. Hills Elementary has made the list for
three consecutive years. Congratulations to those kids and teachers. That's
a huge accomplishment. Three years in a row. They got
the hat trick. There. The city of Wheeling of also
besides the parade the City of Wheeling's holiday tree lighting

(19:44):
is going down this week. The brand new tree will
be lit by Santa Claus tomorrow at the Plaza on Market.
The tree serves as a centerpiece for this year's holiday
celebrations and commemorates the fortieth anniversary of the City of Lights.
It would be a adorned with ornaments created by children
from all across the Ohio Valley. So the tree will

(20:06):
be lit in time for the parade on Friday. So
it is the holidays are up and rolling, folks, and
something to let you know about in Saint Clairsville. So
the city, along with the Planning and Zoning Administrator Thomas Murphy,
is alerting folks to two companies allegedly scamming locals. Now,

(20:29):
what they're doing is they're posing as legitimate paving contractors.
These companies claim to have leftover asphalt and are offering
paving services, but they without the necessary permits. Now Murphy, again,
the Planning and Zoning administrator, is telling residents be cautious,

(20:52):
especially if they are approached at their homes. Be cautious
of these companies. They're saying that if you are approached
to call the city or the Police department. One person
said they just showed up and said, hey, we're going
to do this, you okay with it? That's just odd.
But the scams are not only affecting, of course, the

(21:14):
victims financially, it's also affecting and impacting legitimate contractors in
the area who own and operate and do things the
proper way with the proper permits. So basically, if you
have some random people show up saying, hey, we're going
to pave your driveway, be very aware. It's a very

(21:34):
odd situation. Now, the companies have been identified by Murphy
as mob Construction and Loved Paving. Again, that is mob
construction and Loved painting, So be aware of that happening
in the Saint Clairsville area. Speaking of Thanksgiving, most people

(21:56):
spend roughly nine hundred and fifty dollars on Thanksgiving nine
hundred fifty dollars fifty two dollars. Now, there was a
research of two thousand us A dolls who found people
will pay one hundred and seventy five dollars for food
and one hundred and ten dollars for drinks. The additional
costs include eighty three dollars for decorations and two hundred

(22:17):
and ninety one dollars for all kinds of other stuff.
I don't know if I've ever even come close to
spending that amount of money on Thanksgiving. Somebody asked me
the other day if I was going to be the
one hosting Thanksgiving, New New You don't want me attempting

(22:40):
to cook an entire turkey? No, not if you want
those eating the meal to survive. There's there. I understand
my limitations. I understand caring for those what I who
I would invite to Thanksgiving dinner, and and I will

(23:04):
not put those through it. I will not put those
through it. The best part of Thanksgiving to me in
otis you may or may not agree with me. I
like the turkey, but I could take it or leave it.
I'm more of the side dish person. I think the

(23:24):
side dishes are what makes the meal. I mean, there
are the classics, the stuffing and the mashed potatoes. Like
you have to have the side dishes. You have to.
Like I said, I can take it or leave the turkey,
but the side dishes make Thanksgiving.

Speaker 6 (23:42):
I'm a stuffing fan.

Speaker 5 (23:43):
Stuffing fan. What about sweet potatoes? Okay, what about dessert.

Speaker 6 (23:54):
I normally don't eat dessert Thanksgiving, I fill up on
all the other.

Speaker 5 (23:58):
Good stuff, the good stuff. I maybe, maybe I'm wrong.
I didn't realize Thanksgiving costs so much pushing one thousand
dollars for people, but this year it may be even
more with the cost of a lot of things currently.
I don't know, so I guess. I guess. The point
of this story is, if you are not hosting, keep
in mind the cost to those that are hosting the

(24:21):
big meal, because it's I think it's a lot more
than most of us realize that it is. So keep
that in mind if you are a guest going to
Thanksgiving somewhere, to make sure that you maybe uh contribute,
maybe not financially, but contribute in a different way because

(24:42):
there's a lot of work and effort and obviously money
that goes into it. So keep that in mind. The
most popular side dishes have been revealed so according to
a survey, and like I said, side dishes are my
go to. Mashed potatoes came in second place, followed by
sweet potatoes, mac and cheese, and green bean casserole. No

(25:06):
thank you, no thank you whatsoever. But stuffing remains as
the most popular side dish for Thanksgiving, sixty three percent
of Americans preferred sides over turky. See I'm not alone.
I'm in the majority over turkey, and nearly half say
they would be happy with no turkey at all and

(25:28):
just a plate full of sides. See, I am not
alone in my thoughts on that. But yeah, stuffing remains
the number one side. I'm getting hungry now. I'm getting
hungry now thinking about all the all this food. I
can't you know, I've said this before. Christmas is everywhere,

(25:50):
Christmas is popping up. We were talking about the Christmas
parade here in Wheeling this Friday. They're lighting up the
tree on Wednesday. But everybody forgets Everybody just moves and
breezes past. Breeze is right past Thanksgiving. Breeze is right
past it. But now, come on, folks, that's the meal,
that's the meal of the year. You can't just forget

(26:11):
about it. Just can't forget about it. What else we
can't forget about is, of course talking about food. Get
your registration in for free lunch. We will be drawing
that winner tomorrow. Of course. That is all courtesy of
our friends at River City. All we need is Sam
at iHeartMedia dot com, name, phone number and company. And

(26:32):
then you're registered. We draw out tomorrow and then on
Friday we will deliver lunch directly to you. So lunch
is on us again. All you have to do is
Sam at iHeartMedia dot com, name, phone number and company.
It's seven forty five. You're listening to the bloom Ditty

(26:55):
experience on your Tuesday morning here on news radio eleven
seventy WWVA. Welcome back to the Bloembatty Experienced salmon Otis news
Radio eleven seventy WWVA. We made it to the top
of the hour at seven point fifty one. Oh, thank

(27:18):
you for tuning in again. It's a Tuesday. It's a
little chili out there for you. It's a little chilly.
I don't know if it's just me. Last night, this
whole change of time, it has messed me up. It
has screwed me up, like my internal clock. Uh just

(27:40):
I'm fighting to not get in a funk. And so
last night it was like maybe quarter till six, five
point thirty five thirty ish, quarter till six.

Speaker 6 (27:50):
It's dark.

Speaker 5 (27:51):
It's dark, and I live up on a hilltop. So
we get a lot of wind, so much wind that
it actually sounds like a creature out side of my house.
But anyways, so last night, it's dark, it's chilly, the
wind is blowing. It's like quarter till six at night.
I'm ready to go to bed. I'm ready to go
to bed, Like I am struggling right now with just

(28:14):
getting a balance. And that goes back to, you know,
it goes back to the falling, you know, falling back
of the clocks and the whole thing and the time change.
But a lot of people deal with seasonal depression. And
I'm not saying that that's what I'm going through, but
it's just taking it's taking longer for me to adjust
to the time change. But health professionals are warning that

(28:38):
seasonal effective disorder becomes more common, of course, as the
daylight hour shrink and the temperatures fall, which is what
we're seeing. The condition, known as SAD or SAD, typically
strikes during fall and winter when sunlight exposure decreases. Doctors
diagnose this when symptoms persist for at least two consecutive

(28:58):
winners and improved spring and summer. Common signs include persistent sadness,
low energy, increased sleep, appetite changes and loss of interest
in what are typical activities. Treatment options include light therapy,
which helps up to eighty five percent of patients when
started early. So, you know, maybe it's just me. I

(29:23):
don't know, But are you dealing with anything like that? Otis?
I mean last night when I looked, I was so tired,
and I looked at the clock and it was not
even six o'clock. I thought, oh my god, this is
just crazy. I could have curled up and went sound asleep,
sound asleep. It's got me so thrown off.

Speaker 6 (29:46):
I mean, it might have me a little bit screwed up,
but it's not that bad.

Speaker 5 (29:51):
No, you don't, you don't. I don't know. I just
thought last night it was extreme, and like I said,
I'm not.

Speaker 6 (29:57):
It just sucks it gets dark at five o'clock.

Speaker 5 (29:59):
Yeah, it just feels like you should curl up and
hunker down in the house and and not get anything accomplished.
But I am not saying I'm dealing with seasonal depression.
It's not that. It's just man, it is quite a
change and quite quite an adjustment. And I used to
think that the the changing of the clocks or the

(30:20):
falling back I used to think it had to do
with farming, and it has nothing to do with that.
I found out I was completely completely wrong about that,
not even not even close to to what it is about.
So if I believe I am not alone, I'm sure
I am not. But if you are dealing with things
like that, and you do think you're dealing with seasonal depression,

(30:43):
don't do it on your own call, you know, reach
out to to somebody that can help you with that.
It's not worth not worth suffering, suffering through a crazy
story out of Ontario. So is there anything you think
you could do without training? So have you ever looked

(31:04):
at a profession or say a hobby or a skill
and thought, you know what, I could just figure that
out on my own. I could just pull that off
on my own. I don't know, say playing the piano
or which I couldn't. So there was a thirty six
year old man in the Ontario, the city of Ontario,
who drove passengers around four fifteen minutes on a city bus.

(31:28):
So the man. The incident began around nine pm when
the driver, the actual driver of the city bus now
the licensed professional, left and took a break in the
downtown area. Near the McNab bus terminal. The man took
the driver's seat. So this random guy took the driver's

(31:51):
seat of the bus, the articulated bus and headed to
the mountain, making regular stops for about ten pasts to
board and exit. Police spokesperson Trevor McKenna said passengers initially
didn't realize he wasn't the actual bus driver until he
made wrong turns. One passenger even gave him directions back

(32:13):
to the original route there was According to this person,
there was not a ding on the bus, but he
did a great job. It's comical, but at the same
time it's serious. We're thankful that nobody was hurt. The
man now faces charges including theft over five thousand dollars
and driving while prohibited. I don't know what an articulated

(32:35):
bus is. Is that one that's got like two areas,
two cabs per se for people to sit in, and
then there's an area in the like in the middle
that connects them and they can have no idea. Oh okay,
all right, that's what I'm thinking. It is almost like
a train where there's like two I don't know if

(32:57):
I'm correct though in saying that, but when I hear that.
That's what I think of like an articulated snake, but
it's two chunks of a bus. But anyways, but so
here's this guy. He just he decides to randomly get
on a bus and start driving it.

Speaker 6 (33:11):
It is a long, multi section public transit vehicle connected
by a flexible articulation joint.

Speaker 5 (33:17):
There. Yeah, okay, exactly what I was thinking. So two
separate sections but are connected and kind of can bend
and weave. So yeah, this guy basically gets on steals
a bus. But he doesn't make people just ride along.
He takes care of the route and drops him off
at all of their spots. I mean, who does that?
Who says, you know what, it's just sitting there. Those

(33:38):
people are just sitting there. I'll give them a ride
and get them to where they need to go. What
the heck? Why not? Seven point fifty eight you're listening
to the Blue Daddy Experience, samon Otis News Radio eleven
seventy wwva.

Speaker 1 (33:54):
Z number one talk show in the Ohio Alley. This
is no bloom Daddy Experience. Your host bloom Daddy. His
goal inform, entertain, and tick people off. The bloom Daddy
Experience on News Radio eleven seventy WWVA starts now.

Speaker 5 (34:17):
Welcome back. It's eighth six the bloom Daddy Experience. Sam
and Otis News Radio eleven seventy WWVA. Just a reminder
coming up here very very very shortly, we're gonna have
your first chance to win this morning. We've got a
pair of tickets to see Christmas Vacation, a screening of
it right here at the Capitol Theater that is December ninth.

(34:38):
But it's also followed up by a Q and a
session with the star of the show, Chevy Chase. So
we're gonna have your first chance to win this morning.
That is coming up very shortly. And then later in
the show, we're gonna have another pair of tickets. But
this is to something different. This is to a Motown
Christmas which has happened December thirteenth, again here at the

(35:03):
Capitol Theater. So all of your favorite, you know, traditional
Christmas songs with a little bit of a motown twist.
So that show is happening December thirteenth, and we're gonna
have your chance to win those here again very shortly.
And then of course we've got our lunch which I've
mentioned and that drawing will be tomorrow. To register that,
all you have to do is sam at iHeartMedia dot com, name,

(35:24):
phone number, and company. I wanted to give a shout
out to Julie who sent me an email. It's a
great meme of an adorable little turkey standing on top
of Santa and it says, wait your turn, fat boy.
I thought that was pretty good. I was mentioning earlier
about how Thanksgiving it's basically gotten the shaft and we

(35:46):
go straight to straight to Christmas. So I just wanted
to mention that Julie, thank you for that. And again,
if you ever want to get a hold of us,
all you have to do is call one eight hundred
six four eleven seventy one eight hundred sixty four eleven
seventy or of course you can email sam Atiheartmedia dot com,
which I mentioned, or of course you can text us,
which is seven zero four seven zero. You start the

(36:10):
message off with bloom Daddy and then from there you
just send us whatever you want to tell us. So
again that number is seven zero four seven zero and
start the message off with bloom daddy. All right, let's
some follow up on some of the sports stories from yesterday,
especially this one the league for in football, the league

(36:32):
is handing down a hefty punishment for Jamar Chase of
the Bengals. Of course, this goes back to the spitting
incident that happened in Sunday's game. He's now been suspended
one game for spitting on Steelers defensive back Jalen Ramsey.
Chase is appealing the decision. As I mentioned yesterday, there

(36:53):
is video out there on social media of the incident.
Also a little bit of a follow up on Aaron Rodgers.
There was the injury that took him out of the game.
What they are saying is that he has sustained a
slight break in his left non throwing wrist, which is
what caused him to leave the game on Sunday. So

(37:16):
a little bit of an update of his condition. But
he is pushing to play in this Sunday's game. So
an update on the status of Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Also some changes in college football. The first major higre
of the coaching carousel, if you will, is official. Virginia

(37:38):
Tech made former Penn State coach James Franklin its next
head coach. On Monday. Franklin was fired last month from
the Penn State Nitney Lyons after losing three straight games.
I don't think that's the entire reason those three straight games.
He's been he's ever since. He's never been able to

(38:00):
He's never been clutched in the big games, and I
think that was more of the reason of his firing
at Penn State. But I am just just speculating there.
And then also West Virginia improved. For West Virginia men's
basketball improved to five and oh following an eighty one
fifty nine victory over Lafayette, and plays Clemson Friday night.

(38:25):
So along with we mentioned earlier, the Nailors play Friday night.
Here in Wheeling. It is frosty Friday night, so that
is happening that puck drops at six thirty. Did you
watch the game, the WU basketball game.

Speaker 6 (38:41):
I did not.

Speaker 5 (38:41):
Oh you didn't.

Speaker 6 (38:44):
Okay, it wasn't him, so I couldn't watch it.

Speaker 5 (38:46):
Oh, usually you're mister, you made prior commitment. Oh because
it's say, because men's basketball is like your your absolute
favorite sport out there. Your March madness is like your
your Christmas for most I.

Speaker 6 (38:59):
Was didn't get PN plush.

Speaker 5 (39:02):
Oh because okay, I got you. I got you. I
wanted to highlight this and I don't want to go
too far into this, but it's one of those topics
that gets me worked up. But Massachusetts, oh Massachusetts, the
Governor Mara Heally has appointed Gizelle Bird to the Commission

(39:30):
on the Status of Women, which is a board that
advises the state on policies affecting women and girls. Can
you guess what makes Giselle Bird, the new employ appointee different?

(39:50):
Just just just take a random guess. Giselle is a dude.
Giselle is a man. Is a man who has now
been appointed to this board that talks about builds awareness

(40:16):
of topics subjects that affects females, adults, and young girls.
But they appointed a man who pretends to be a
woman to this seat. You're not a woman, You're a dude.

(40:38):
It's just amazing how they throw around words like truth
in science and biology and you know, all of this
when they don't believe in truth in science and biology.
What they do with this messaging And when I say they,

(41:01):
of course, I'm talking about the far left, woke agenda
and the ideology that they're trying to force upon us
that there are those like myself who refuse to cow
tew to the masses when it comes to this, but
they continue to preach, you know, truth and acceptance in

(41:24):
biology and science, and they don't live by it, and
they try to force it upon us this ridiculousness. I
don't know a better term to use, But what this
is eventually doing, and what this message is is they
are continuing to tell us, like myself, as an adult

(41:47):
female or even young girls, as this message continues to
be pushed upon us, that men make the best women.
That's the message they continue to do to propagate and
they force upon us. That's the long term message that's
going to think about how that is going to affect

(42:10):
younger women in our society or young girls when they
are being told that a man who dresses up and
pretends to be a woman can represent a board who
are there to represent and defend females, that that person

(42:33):
has more insight than actual women. But as they continue
to promote this message that men are better at being
a woman than a woman is better than being a woman,
how that is going to distort the young women in

(42:56):
our society that you're less than you're less than as
a woman than the man who pretends to be a woman.
And they just continue and continue and continue to do that.
There was also in Michigan a person in front of
a college board that couldn't even answer the question about

(43:19):
how many genders there are. This continues and continues, and
it's just absolutely outrageous and ridiculous. All right, I'm done.
We're gonna go to it. One eight hundred sixty two
four eleven seventy your first chance to win this morning.
We have a pair of tickets to see a Christmas
Vacation National Lampoons right here at the Capitol Theater on

(43:39):
the big screen. We have a pair of tickets for you.
And of course there's the Q and a session with
Chevy Chase himself. One eight hundred six two four eleven seventy.
One eight hundred sixty two four eleven seventy, Otis, why
don't you give us a number?

Speaker 6 (43:54):
I did it yesterday seventeen.

Speaker 5 (43:55):
All right, caller number seventeen. One eight hundred six two
four eleven seventy. It's eight sixteen on your Tuesday. You're
listening to the Blue Daddy Experience. Otis and Sam here
on news radio eleven seventy WWVA. Well, congratulations, we have

(44:18):
our first winner of the morning, Steven from from Martinsville.
From New Martinsville, he is our first winner this morning.
He has snagged a pair of tickets to see Christmas
Vacation here at the Capitol. But we're gonna have another winner. Oh,
I didn't know what that. Let's you rolling.

Speaker 6 (44:35):
Well, somebody came in and they're just, oh, they forget
that we're on their.

Speaker 5 (44:38):
Oh okay, it sounded like a big woosh of like
a waive or whatever. But we're gonna have another chance
for you to win. We have Motown Christmas tickets coming up.
That show is December thirteenth, so we'll have those for
you before the end of the show.

Speaker 6 (44:53):
Hey, we want to put this out there too. Okay,
if you're a Nailers fan, the Nailers are playing today
at ten thirty in the morning, so you hitch that
game on our sister station, Mix ninety seven three.

Speaker 5 (45:03):
That's unusual, is it this time?

Speaker 6 (45:05):
It's probably it's probably cool thing. It's probably a school thing,
field trip. They're playing the Reading Royals in Reading, so
that gained the puck drops at ten thirty this morning.
So if you want to check the nailers out while
you're at work or whatever. You check them out on
our sister station.

Speaker 5 (45:20):
Nice, which is mixed ninety seven three great. Yeah, all right, So,
according to new reports, according to news reports, Jeff Bezos's wife,
Lauren Sanchez, spends one million dollars on clothing every month.
Every month. The Amazon founder and evil genius is here

(45:41):
to defend that kind of expenditure.

Speaker 7 (45:46):
Of Jeff Bezos. The Petulant Press has printed what they
think is a scathing story about my wife Lauren's wardrobe budget.
It's one million dollars per month. Perhaps I'm in a
billionaire bubble, but that seems reasonable. No, I mean, take
a look at her smoking hot, smoky mountains. There's no

(46:06):
way she can buy off the rack. Sore to speak. Besides,
have you seen the price of designer couldture lately?

Speaker 6 (46:14):
Her truth be told? Neither us, Laura, and she.

Speaker 7 (46:17):
Only shops in stores that don't have price tax. So
throw us a freaking burned here. Okay, we're rich. Where
she supposed to buy her clothes on Amazon? One size
definitely does not fit all.

Speaker 5 (46:35):
Can you imagine even imagine a million dollars a month
on clothes. Listen, I like the shop, trust me. There
are certain days where I get a lot of anger
out when it comes to shopping, and I love a
good pair of shoes, and I like a good person.

(46:56):
I can't even imagine a million dollars a month on clothes.
I don't know. I don't even My life isn't exciting
enough to have a reason to spend a million dollars
on clothes. I can't even imagine, Like Otis, you couldn't
do it as a guy, exactly exactly. You'd have more

(47:18):
hoodies than you would have places to storm.

Speaker 6 (47:22):
That's just insant.

Speaker 5 (47:26):
Oh yeah, yours are more like zip ups, not not
your tradition. Yeah you do those half, Well that's what
I mean.

Speaker 6 (47:36):
Okay, Well I'm not I'm not wear a pool over,
but I don't normally wear hoodies.

Speaker 5 (47:42):
Okay, I guess.

Speaker 6 (47:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (47:44):
Just you talk about living in an entire different world.
There are some people that live in worlds that I
don't think you and I, the everyday person, even remotely
can contemplate what what it is like. I just I
can't even imagine talk about crazy criminals. Okay, Otis, I
didn't share this with you at the beginning. So I

(48:07):
want to get your natural reaction to this. So we
like to talk about stupid criminals or or you know,
things like that. So there are three women out of
Shreveport that have received the Moniker as the Silicone Sisters.
Can you even beget? Can you even venture to guess

(48:28):
why they were given this this title?

Speaker 6 (48:30):
Otis, Well, they've probably had multiple surgeries that involve implants.

Speaker 5 (48:37):
Okay, good, guess you're incorrect, though they are. The officials
are searching for these three women because they walked into
a local adult toy store. They walked out somehow hidden

(48:59):
with a thousand dollars in merchandise that they did not
pay for. Now cops are not sure why or what
they will do with the merchandise, but they are looking
for these three women who escaped and stole these items

(49:20):
valued at one thousand dollars. Now, they are not giving
out exactly the details on what all of the items are.
We will leave that up to your imagination as to
what the actual theft was. But they walked right into
the Hustler Hollywood and walked out with one thousand dollars

(49:44):
worth of the adult merchandise that they did not pay for.
So maybe they're going to end up in handcuffs, but
they already have their own that they walked out the
front door with. I don't know, I don't know, but
thousand dollars, that's not actually, that's actually probably not a

(50:04):
lot of different it's probably not a lot of different things.
That stuff's getting expensive, not that I would know, Not
that I would know.

Speaker 6 (50:11):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (50:12):
Speaking of sinful, True to its name, Las Vegas is
once again the most sinful city in the US. That's
according to a recent study by wallet hub. The study
compares more than one hundred and eighty cities based on
seven sinful behavior behaviors like anger, hatred, jealousy, vices, vanity,

(50:34):
and laziness. Las Vegas is followed by Houston, Los Angeles, Philadelphia,
and at Atlanta. So they can keep the they continue
to be the most sinful sin city, they will remain.
I've never been to Vegas. I have never been to Vegas.

(50:55):
Have you been to Vegas?

Speaker 6 (50:57):
I've been to Vegas multiple times?

Speaker 5 (50:59):
Did I don't I don't get the appeal. Well, first
of all, I'm not a gambler.

Speaker 6 (51:04):
The first time I was there seven maybe eight, oh geez,
for one, I did see the Jackson's Did you really?

Speaker 4 (51:11):
Oh?

Speaker 6 (51:11):
Wow?

Speaker 5 (51:12):
Wow? Was it just a family vacation?

Speaker 6 (51:14):
Yeah, we were dripping cross country. Oh. We met my
dad's army buddy in Vegas. Then we proceeded onto his
house in California.

Speaker 5 (51:25):
Okay, how was the Do you remember the Jackson Show vaguely?
Do you really?

Speaker 6 (51:31):
I mean I don't. I mean, they sang all their
hits from the early seventies, and then you know, Michael
was probably maybe like ten or eleven years old, and
then Janet was probably around seven or eight my age
at the time. So yeah, I mean she came out
and I think she did one song with them, maybe two.

(51:52):
But then I just remember the hotel, the first hotel
we stayed in, which was just a motel we put
you had to watch TV because it was in the
All Star Game. You had to put quarters in the
TV to watch it. You had two hours of TV
for the quarter.

Speaker 5 (52:06):
I've never heard you used to put quarters into TV.
Tell you, did you really?

Speaker 6 (52:11):
I've never heard of quarter's two hours of TV.

Speaker 5 (52:15):
I've never heard of that. Hauh huh. He learned something
new every day. Eight twenty eight coming up, We have
another chance for you to win Motown Christmas here at
the Capitol Theater that is coming up here very shortly.
You're listening to the bloom Daddy Experience. Samon Otis News
Radio eleven seventy WWVA.

Speaker 3 (52:38):
How to Talk some politics Jim or and Ac, former Congressman,
Bloom Daddy Show political analyst Jim Donald Trump versus Marjorie
Taylor Green. This spat he's calling or crazy. She's always
been crazy, but he was okay with it when she
was doing everything that he wanted, kissing the ring. Now
all of a sudden she's pushing back when the Epstein
files and now she's crazy.

Speaker 2 (52:59):
The base doesn't care.

Speaker 3 (53:01):
But when it comes to independent voters, specifically women, what
do you think they're thinking about this?

Speaker 4 (53:09):
Well, boom Daddy again, thanks for having me on. It's interesting.
Have to chuckle because Marjorie Taylor Green, most people did
think she was crazy, and Donald Trump loved her. He
absolutely loved her because she was, as you said, kissing
the ring, talking about what a great president she was.
She was everywhere anytime he showed up, she was there.
If he was having a vent at Marlagas, she was there.

(53:29):
And she was just his number one fan until she
wasn't his number one fan, and Epstein files came out
and she crossed the line. And at this point in time,
you're right now he's calling her crazy, you know. And
it's amazing what happens when you don't toe the line
with President Trump, especially in issues like this. And it's

(53:53):
sad because Bud, I gotta tell you, when I was
in Congress, there were times I did not toe the
line with President trum and he used to be okay
with it. That's changed a little bit because he doesn't
want to lose the complete control of the Republican Party,
which he has now, and he's continuing to lose a
piece here, a piece there, and he sees that as

(54:15):
a problem. So I think that's really the main reason.

Speaker 3 (54:18):
Well, he changed course last night, Jim on the release
of the records related to Jeffrey Epstein.

Speaker 2 (54:24):
Now he's all four it.

Speaker 3 (54:25):
And is that because you had about one hundred Republicans
expected to break ranks and it would look very bad
for him and House Speaker Mike Johnson if that happened,
because then everybody's going to be saying, uh, oh, look
who lost control of the GOP.

Speaker 4 (54:42):
Well, bloom Daddy, I said, One of the reasons Mike
Johnson did not bring the House back is they had
four Republicans. Marjorie Taylor Green was one of them. Massey
Ober and Mace were four people who the Democrats needed
to get to two eighteen to be able to vote
on on releasing these files. I believe for the last

(55:04):
eight weeks, the Speaker and everybody else has been trying
to pull one of those four away from that vote,
away from that discharge petition. Once the administration realized that
that discharge petition was going to happen and those four
were not going to break, I think the President realized that, Look,
even if Jim Ornacy was still in Congress and I

(55:24):
had to vote to release them, absolutely, I'm going to
vote to release them.

Speaker 7 (55:28):
Now.

Speaker 4 (55:28):
If the vote never came forward, you know what, I
wouldn't have to make that vote. But I think there'd
be more than a hundred. I actually think most Republicans
would have voted along the side of let's release everything.
And I do believe President Trump saw that. He realized
it was going to look bad for him, and he
realized he'd better just come out and say, yes, let's

(55:48):
release them.

Speaker 2 (55:49):
So Jim, is this riffed in the GOP A big
deal in your mind?

Speaker 4 (55:54):
Well, I think it's the start. I mean, look, there's
some other problems out there with Jade Vance and to
Tucker Carlson. So there's a bunch of riffs going on
that I think could be a problem. Look, politics is
like keeping frogs in a barrel. It's hard to do,
and we used to talk about that all the time.
It's almost impossible. And President Trump's been able to keep

(56:15):
all the frogs in a barrel for a long time.
There's a few jumping out. When they all start jumping,
that could be a serious problem.

Speaker 3 (56:22):
Talking to Jim or Nacy, former Congressman, Bloom Daddy Show
political analyst, Look, Biden had these files for what four years,
three years, whatever it may be. If there was something
in there damaging to Trump, I would have to assume
they would have been released because they did everything they
could to damage this guy. So what was he worried about?

(56:43):
What he campaigned on this? Then all of a sudden
it's out. It's no big deal. What could possibly be
in there? And do you think there's stuff in there
that will damage both parties?

Speaker 6 (56:53):
I do.

Speaker 4 (56:54):
I think there's things in there and look, I think
you're going to see President Trump's name all over the place,
not in a way that damages him, but just in
a way that his name is there. And I think
that was the big thing for President Trump. I have
heard from insiders that his name is there a number
of times, more than a hundred, might have been more
than five hundred times in these files. And I think

(57:16):
because of that, he just didn't want to be tied
to Epstein. Nobody should want to be tied to Epstein. Now,
on the other side, I think Biden was probably thinking
the same thing. There are some people on the Democrat
side that probably it's not Joe Biden, but I'm sure
there's some Democrat people and some strong donors and some
individuals who Biden said, look, I'm not bringing this stuff

(57:39):
to the table because it's not worth it. Now. In
the end, they're all going to be damaged. And look,
if you were a friend of Jeffrey Epstein's, and if
you were around Jeffrey Epstein, and if you participated, especially,
which that's a whole other level, I don't think the
American people are going to put up with it. And
I think, you know, just being associated even if it

(57:59):
was just having your name associated. I think President Trump's
a little concerned about that, but he'll just have to
work through it. I don't think there's anything in there
incriminating if you ever would have been out already.

Speaker 2 (58:09):
Yeah, that's my point.

Speaker 3 (58:10):
Did you ever think in your lifetime that you would
see Donald Trump get pushed back from so many within
his own party and reverse course because of it.

Speaker 4 (58:23):
No, And that's a great point. I think President Trump
wants to hold the line. If you don't hold the
line with him, he discards you very quickly. And he's
tried to, as I said, he's tried to keep the
frogs in the barrel. The problem is the frogs are
starting to jump now on this issue. And look, whether
you got Massey Paul. You know Massey. Now they're calling rhino.

(58:47):
Massey's the furthest thing from a rhino. Senator Paul's not
a rhino either. But those two have held their positions
and President Trump has tried to ignore them, but he's
isolated them. The problem is, I think this vote tomorrow,
it's going to be too big of a number of isolate.

Speaker 3 (59:04):
Yeah, you know, it'sn't it a shame that you know,
we want people to have backbones. We don't want people
to have to be sheep. But then when they do
have a backbone, the name calling starts. I mean, it's
like you can't win no matter what you do. And
I'll tell you, I mean, I think it's probably my
biggest negative when it comes to Trump. The people most

(59:26):
loyal to him, he will crap on them. He will
chuck him to the curb if they don't kiss the ring.
And that says a lot about somebody's character.

Speaker 4 (59:38):
Well, look, I agree with that. I was a very
close friend of Donald Trump and over the years, and
I can tell you, in many cases, it's not what
you did for him yesterday, it's what you do for
him today. And there are some people like that, but
he's clearly one of those people. But look, I think
I've also told you this. There. I think are shows

(01:00:00):
that seventy percent of Americans love what Donald Trump's trying
to accomplish, but seventy percent also don't like the way
he's trying to accomplish it. And it goes for that
single issue as well too, So you know, it's it's uh,
it's a very interesting He's become a very interesting, interesting
influence in American politics, that's for sure.

Speaker 2 (01:00:21):
Jim, thanks for the time.

Speaker 5 (01:00:22):
Thank you, Hey forty nine, welcome back back to glim
Daddy experienced him. I noticed that's a new one. It's
very like drum line sort of in a way.

Speaker 6 (01:00:37):
That's executive, but it is.

Speaker 4 (01:00:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:00:39):
Otis has been digging into some some new music for us,
so some new music beds. So there's there's a new
one today. How about some national holidays for you? Guess
whose birthday it is today? Mickeymas Well you just pulled
that out from underneath me. Yes, it's happy birthday too,

(01:01:00):
Mickey and Mini it is their birthday. It's also let's
see here, it's National Entrepreneur's Day. It is Apple cider Day.
Oh warm, apple cider would be good right now? So
happy birthday. And it's also and I cannot believe we
didn't kick off the show with this, it's National Princess Day.

(01:01:22):
Where is my Tiara?

Speaker 6 (01:01:23):
Otis right where belongs.

Speaker 5 (01:01:29):
There are certain days where my husband Refirst asks me
if I think I'm a princess. Yeah, some days I
think I am, and I'm not ashamed to say it,
and I should be treated as such. And I'm getting
eyes rolled at me. Anyways, coming up, we have our
financial final chance for you to win this morning. We
have another pair of tickets to Motown Christmas here at

(01:01:52):
the Capitol Theater on December thirteenth. That is coming up
very very shortly. We talk a lot of times Otis
about our dogs. You have to, I have to Yours
are Rory and Pongo, and I have Poo and Bobo.
I know I have weird names for my dogs, like

(01:02:14):
and are normal. Well, Pongo is actually from a movie.
It's from One Dalmatians, but I think Pongo was also
the All the Journey movie. There's the dog. There's like
two dogs and a cat and I can't think of
what's called. But anyways, can you guess what is the

(01:02:35):
top dog name for the year. For the year, Yeah,
the big the most used name for a dog. It's
very traditional.

Speaker 6 (01:02:48):
Well, with it being very traditional, you would think it
would be Spot, but that's not it.

Speaker 7 (01:02:58):
Mmmmm.

Speaker 6 (01:02:58):
I had a buddy of mine. I've known a couple
of dogs name Max.

Speaker 5 (01:03:02):
Max. Okay, you're correct. Max has reclaimed the number one
spot for male dog names. This is according to the
AKC or the American Kennel Club, as the most popular
dog name on the list. The classic name held the
top position in twenty, twenty two and twenty three before
being overtaken last year by Milo. I had a Milo.

(01:03:28):
I just lost a Milo like two years ago. But
Milo has dropped and now Max now takes this. Uh
takes the number one spot back. For female dog names,
there is number one Luna, followed by Bella, Daisy, and Lucy.
So those are the top spots for the female dog names.

(01:03:52):
Where did you get Rory or did he come with it?

Speaker 6 (01:03:55):
Game with it? He was five years old, run of gutting.

Speaker 5 (01:03:57):
Oh that's right. Here's another rescue that you you got
from the shelter.

Speaker 6 (01:04:01):
He wasn't he was actually in a foster him.

Speaker 5 (01:04:04):
Oh he was in a Oh okay, okay, what if
you could change the would he have?

Speaker 6 (01:04:09):
I figured after five years it's probably too late to
change it. I could have probably changed pongos if I wanted.

Speaker 5 (01:04:14):
I like Pongo. I like that name. That's a fun name.
Speaking of dogs, there's a dog in trouble. So there
was a fifty three year old man in Pennsylvania. He
was hospitalized early last week after his dog accidentally shot him.

(01:04:35):
All right, this dog accidentally fired a shotgun and it
struck the man in his lower back. This isn't funny,
all right, It is kind of funny, but it's it
really isn't funny. Shillington Police received the shooting report approximately
approximately at eleven thirteen pm. Officers learned a dog had
jumped onto the bed, which then set the gun off.

(01:05:00):
Before arriving on the scene, the victim told police he
was cleaning his shotgun and placed it on his bed
before sitting down. One of his dogs then jumped onto
the bed, causing the weapon to discharge into his back.
The man's son was home, but not in the same
room where the incident took place. Paramedics transported the victim

(01:05:23):
to a local hospital, where he immediately went into surgery
for his injuries. Hospital staff reported that he underwent initial
surgery but required additional operations. That's crazy. Imagine this. Imagine
if it actually took his life this accident, and God forbid,

(01:05:46):
his son being the only person on scene, would then
be possibly charged for doing it because nobody would guess
that something like this would have happened.

Speaker 6 (01:06:00):
All they would have had to do was testing for
gun residue.

Speaker 5 (01:06:02):
Not necessarily you'll wipe it. You can wash it off.
I mean you can wash it off. But yeah, it
makes you wonder. So hopefully the guy, uh, hopefully the
guy what's the word I'm looking for? My mind just

(01:06:24):
went completely, completely, went blank. Recovers that's it. I was
gonna say, remain and I knew that was right. But
we're not just gonna We're not just dog lovers here.
Let's talk about some cats. Because we both love cats,
don't we No, not in the least. So cat ownership
could potentially double schizophrenia. This is according to new research

(01:06:49):
that analyzed seventeen different studies. So psychiatrist John McGrath and
his colleagues examined papers from eleven countries spanning forty four years.
The review found a significant positive association between broadly defined
cat ownership and an increased risk of schizophrenia related disorders.

(01:07:12):
The team wrote that individuals exposed to cats had approximately
twice the odds of developing developing schizophrenia. However, fifteen of
seventeen studies where case control research that cannot prove causation.
Authors emphasize there is a need for more high quality
studies in this field. Before drawing absolute firm conclusions that

(01:07:36):
may explain a lot of things with people I know
who own a lot of cats. But that gives a
new explanation to the crazy cat lady theory that's out
there possibly.

Speaker 6 (01:07:51):
Or anybody that has cats.

Speaker 5 (01:07:52):
Oh Si, Siri just started to answer because they thought
I said, Siri. Yikes, No, Siri, let's turn off.

Speaker 6 (01:08:06):

Speaker 5 (01:08:09):
My Siria is an Australian dude with an accent. I
