Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, yo, yo, yo yo. It was just about a
year ago that you came into the station brand new studios,
and then we were talking about Parlay Joy Bell hang
it out with us. Y'all about to celebrate your one
year anniversary at Parlay.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
We are, man, we are one anniversary this up coming Saturday,
nough number fifteen.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
It's gonna be a good time. Now, what can we
expect this? We Oh, we had a lot, so we're
speaking about the Pistons.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
We'll have Hooper here for the four we called our
little fans, Okay, so from twelve to three we'll have
Hooper here.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
And the kids are eating for free.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
We'll have face painting, so it'll be a good time
for the kids from twotal to three, and then from
three to five we have a live saxophone player who'll
be going around the venue playing live music. And then
we also have our event later on that evening and
hitting with DJ Trust from ten to two down and
our speak easy hitting. So it's a good time all around, man, honestly,

(01:00):
and it's crazy to know that it went by this
fast and we were able to create a footprint and
create a culture here in Detroit that I felt we needed, right.
I felt like we I don't know, we talked about
this on the show last time, but I wanted to
bring something to Detroit that kind of embodied our culture
here and kind of put in an elevated space. I

(01:20):
was to a point to where I was tired of
coming downtown and not having what I would consider it
to be something of my brand to be able to
go in and just chill, relax, watch a full game,
have good food, and just be able to sit back
and kick you with some great with great individuals and
the great environment and a warm environment. And so when

(01:40):
people come to Parlay, one thing that they're always going
to get here is good service and a smile on
the face, and it won't welcome me, right. And I
think that's one thing that we're striving to striving to
do and I feel like we're doing a good job.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
But as the first year go I.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
Mean, as his first year went by, I'm proud of
my team and you know, and how we figured a
lot of things out throughout this first year, all at
the same time giving great service and the great experience.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Definitely, man, and I've seen it like Ben, like a
who's who that's came through. You know what I'm saying.
When I see Kevin hartoid in the building, I'm like,
oh man, I'm not there tonight.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
Geez man, you know, you know, shout out to keV
Man Calv's He's a great guy. And I'm known cav
for some years now. So when he came in town,
he really showed.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
A lot of love.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
So he he came through it three nights. He came
in three times. Actually when he was here for his show.
He came in the first night before the I think
this might have been the his second show. He came
in before the show, okay, and I loved it so
much that listen, I'm coming back after. I'm coming back after.
This is my vibe. So he came back after he

(02:55):
did his show, and then after he left that night,
he said, listen, Drugg coming back tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
I want to see the Eagles play. Can we play
the Eagles game?

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Man?

Speaker 3 (03:02):
I said, of course, come on, pull up.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
So he came back the next day and you know,
we sat down, we kicked it for a bit, and
I mean just a smart a smart man.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
So I was able to pick his brain a lot.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
We had a lot of other great individuals from you know,
Marlon Wayne's neo, you know, even with some of the locals,
Kenny Kenny Brooks inside of Baby you know babyface.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Right.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
So, we've had our fair share of celebrities coming through
the door, and the part that I love the most
is when they come back. Even Marlon Wayne's came back
back to back end. He actually gifted us a couple
of boxes of cigars for our cigar room, even though
we can't sell them, but he has his own cigar
line now, so he came through and show love for us.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
Yeah, yeah, my god.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
He gave me some of the best knowledge and advice before, man,
and it's kept me going, So I get it. Man,
congratulations on celebrating your one year anniversary this Saturday, and
I can't wait to see you celebrate many many many more.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
Thank you, thank you, and we're planning on it. I'm
planning on being here for a long time, so make
sure we see you dire this weekend. But man, now
you don't come outside too often, but when you do,
you go to parliam That's right.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
I ain't even gotta say.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
You already said that exactly, all right, jog Man.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
I appreciate you. Man, I had no problem. Man, Thanks
for having me on Man,
