we get you ready for the weekend college basketball Tonight,
you're going to hear from Loghorn's head coach Rodney Terry
coming up in a few minutes from his Zoom media

So there's some football, some basketball to discuss. I don't
know if you saw this, cam. Jay Billis has put
out his top one hundred teams, is it no, I guess,
top sixty eight teams. Yeah, because it's a sixty eight

NCAA tournament field. So Jay billisyspat you like ja Billis?

Yeah, he's fine. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
So he's got his top sixty eight NCAA teams, meaning
if the tournament were to start today, he would have
these sixty eight teams in the NCAA tournament field.

So just so you'll know, you know kind of where things.

Are, because I've had some people ask me and say,
I'm not quite sure what to make of this particular
Texas team, where they are, what.

They might be able to do that sort of thing.

Jay Billis thinks, so the twenty second best team in
the country, so he's got them number twenty two. Now,
did they play like number twenty two in the country
the other night? No, but they didn't have Tremon Mark,
and you're gonna hear Rodney Terry say they may not
have him for a little bit. I think the word
he used was indefinitely, although Tremon yesterday tweeted I'm not

out indefinitely and then deleted it and then deleted after that.
So but Jay Billis wrote of the long Horns. The
season got off to a tough start for the Longhorns
with an eighty to seventy two loss to Ohio State
in Las Vegas, but given the off season turnover, a
learning curve could be expected. Coach Rodney Terry went aggressive
in the transfer portal, adding Jordan Pope from Oregon State,

Tremon Mark from Arkansas, Arthur Calumba from Kansas State, and
the Indiana State duo of Jason Kent and Julian Larry.
Mix in top five recruit and elite scorer Trey Johnson,
and the Longhorns have plenty of pieces now. Terry just
needs to make them all fit. I kind of agree
with that, you know, and and I like Jay Bill.
I don't always agree with everything Jay Sometimes I see,

little bit to college basketball what Bob Costas could get
to baseball.
