Speaker 1 (00:03):
We're back. It's the Craig Way Show with Hall of
Fame broadcaster and voice of the Texas Long Parts Craig Way.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Here on a Thursday afternoon, so we continue to go
through there on this Thursday.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
And it's interesting news we'll get to in a moment.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
I was doing a little research during the during our
break there for a moment, and I'll get to that
here momentarily. However, it is time for our d j
C Law injury update. And as we mentioned, it's a

(01:04):
lot easier this season doing this when you have the
what is it called CAM, the Student Athlete Availability report?
It is right, Southeastern Conference, It's like an NFL style.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
Injury report.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
I was looking at Oklahoma's he still got all those
receivers out, Jaden Gibson, Joe.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
What's miss like? Is it still the entire roster?

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Let's see, oh miss one, two, three, four, five, six, seven,
nine three or probable, three questionable, one doubtful and two out.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
Okay, So it's not like twenty as it was like
three weeks.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Right, Colomba has one, two, three, four, five, six seven
guys out. Running back Gavin Salchuk is doubtful and Dion
Burg's receiver is questionable.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
So there's that.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Arkansas with two out, one including their kicker, one doubtful,
one questionable, Mississippi State with one, two, three, four, five, six,
seven out and four questionable for that, Missouri with a
whole bunch of guys out or questionable, Alabama only three,

(02:17):
and then you get to Texas.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
Vanderbilt. The long Worns.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Still have four running backs or three running backs out.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
C J.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
Baxter, Christian Clark, and Velton Gardner all out. Derek Williams
we know is lost for the season undergoing surgery. For that.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
The two that are interesting the note are Isaiah Bond
and Trey Wisner. Now Bond is the one.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
He's listed as questionable and has been hobbled, so again,
questionable is defined as being maybe fifty to fifty whether
it could go or not. Trey Wisner is listed as probable,
but he hasn't been able to be a full going
practice because of being banged up, So we'll see how
how all that plays out. For Vanderbilt, they have three

(03:02):
guys out. Zaleen Wood, a defensive lineman. We heard in
the news conference in the news conference for Clark Lee
that they tried to get him ready, but he's just
not going to be ready to go, so he's out.
Mark Davis Corner is out, Grayson Morgan is out. Questionable,

(03:27):
Eli Stowers the tight end, their leading receiver questionable, Langston
Patterson linebacker A J. Newberry, who is the backup running
back to Cedric Alexander. Newberry's from Graham Prairie. He was
a high school teammate of save On Red, who of

(03:49):
course is now at Nevada. Martell height A corner is questionable.
Cedric Alexander's list is questionable. No, this listen is questionable.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
That's annoying Craig because there's two lb J Austin products
who may not play in this game on Saturday, robbing us,
robbing us of well, I guess is maybe just robbing
me since I have so much tied into this, But.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Come on, yeah, yeah, Miles Kper's edge rusher questionable.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
Line is Zunk defensive lineman questionable.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
I think when push comes to sup we're probably going
to see Cedric Glexy. Yeah, he want to list hours
Those kids want to play against Texas. You're from Austin,
you want to play your Your former head coach is
on the sideline working for Texas Jamal Cenner. Of course
you want to be there, right, you want to play
in that game. And coach Clark Lee was asked about

(04:43):
it in his press conference I think on Wednesday about
you know, Texas kids who are from a sitate of Texas,
you know, playing against Texas, and you know he didn't
shy away from the fact that, yeah, these these kids
are itching to get out there and play against the
school from their Homesteay. Wow, you know how you mentioned
Ole miss having all those guys out a couple of

(05:04):
weeks ago.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
LSU has eighteen guys.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
On their injured list and two, three, four or five
my fantasy team twelve are out. Safety Jordan Allen, Harold Perkins,
we knew was out, linebacker, wide receiver, Kyle Parker, John
Emery junior, running back, Trey Holly, running back, Thomas Crawford,
offensive lineman, Princeton Malbrew defensive end, Kobe Roberts, offensive lineman,

(05:30):
Ja Cobieta linebacker, Tyree Adams offensive lineman, and Jacoby and
Gillery all out questionable, Chris Hilton junior and Kemo Machinellole
and then probably see j Daniels, Greg Penn Austin Osbury,
Cayden Durham, the Duncanville product, and Miles Frasier. Texas A
and M relatively healthy. They do have won two, three, four,

(05:53):
five guys out, but these are guys who've been out
at Ruben Owens Tyreek Chapel. Jordan Pryor Mark Jr. And
Chase pasonas all out. Jalen Henderson back a quarterback, has
listed as doubtful. Everybody else good to go for Texas
A and M. But again for the log worns other
than the obvious ones that we knew were going to

(06:14):
be out.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
CJ.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
Baxter, Christian Clark, Belton Gardner, and Derrick Williams. Andrew mccuba
is listed as doubtful, and that would probably mean Julia
McDonald would start at that other safety. But Sark has
made a point of and he kind of pointed this
out in the news conference on Monday, that they have
guys that they can rotate. Johnny Baron can spin down

(06:38):
to corner and I mean go from corner down to safety,
or he could go to the star. Jalen Gilbot can
spin around to there. Gavin Holmes of course can step
at the corner. They do have some depth there, and
that depth, of course being tested with Derek Williams out.

Speaker 3 (06:55):
But if mccuba is.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
Also out, and you heard Sarks on Monday that with
a bye week to come, I'm not going to take
the risk, I'm not going to play him. If that's
the case. He has enough depth to be able to
go that route with it. That's why when somebody asked, him, uh,
you know when it comes to Isaiah Bond, is it

(07:17):
a fine line, he said, yeah, it's a fine line,
meaning how the body responds coming off practice. I would
say we're probably not going to see maccouba. He's listed
as doubtful, Bond questionable. We'll see how he responds over
of course, in the next couple of days. Trey Wise trying
to think we'll play even though he has been limited
in the work he's been able to do this.

Speaker 4 (07:36):
Week, and you worry about well, you mean, obviously you
want your best players playing in the game, but then
you worry about, okay, if oay, a Bond re injures
his ankle and it gets worse, and now you're looking
at maybe two or three or four weeks out. And
same thing with mcuba, right, you know, you weigh the
risk first reward here. You know, yeah, we're gonna we're
gonna miss Macooba and in this game, especially against Standardbilt's

(07:56):
rushing attack. But you know, if we give him that
two weeks, maybe he's ready for Florida. So it's certainly
a fine line, and that's why it's critical to have
debt and why Sark has talked about building debt.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
In the case of Weisner, it's a sore shoulder from
that shot he took. It looked like it was targeting
and it wasn't called yeah, and I know Sark thought
it was targeting. It was not called uh. But that's
that's a sore shoulder. But Weisner is listed as probable,
so I think we'll see him.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
All right.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
We'll be back to wrap up Hour number two on
Sports Radio AM thirteen under the Zone.
