NBA Finals Game 3, Who Coaches the Knicks, and Good Bye Lee Corso

Andrew Zimmel fills in for Craig Way on a Wedensday edition of the program. We know that the Knicks are looking for a new coach, Lee Corso has his final College Gameday stop and Game 3 of the NBA Fianls is tonight.

for game number one Saturday, August thirtieth, the season open

Kurt Herbstreak will all be there for Week one Texas

and Ohio State eleven am kickoff from Columbus, Ohio. Of
course that game will be ironically on Big noon kickoff
on Fox as well. They've tried to move it around.
It's not moving. It is there to stay eleven am.
And of course it's Lee Corso's goodbye. It goes back
to Columbus for maybe the game of the weekend, maybe
the game of the year between the defending national champion

buck Guys and the Texas Longhorns, a team that they
beat in the semifinal round. So this is almost like
a playoff rematch to start the year. And you gotta
love scheduling because you put these teams on the schedules five, ten,
fifteen years in advance sometimes and you just kind of

the Texas is on the upswing. But you get a

rematch of a playoff game in year in week number one,
and on top of that, it's Lee Corso's final game
on college game Day. There has never been the stars
aligning more than is what it happened. Then, what is
happening on August thirtieth. But it got me thinking because
large platforms, big lights, Texas in college game day games, and.

I've heard it the other way the Longhorns show up
the lights of brightest, and then I've heard the other

of course that national championship against the USC.

So Longhorn fans should feel very good about coming into
this game on August thirtieth. And I'm not one to say,
you know, look, you got a new starting quarterback in
Arch manning Ohio State's coming off a national championship.

The lights are going to be incredibly bright. It's eleven
am kickoff, which, again a lot of fans not exactly
thrilled with, would rather have that game played in primetime.
But I'm just going off the numbers here. I'm just
going off of the history of when these two teams
play and when Longhorns are on college game Day, and
Texas does very well on game day, so I like this.

We kind of had an inclination. We kind of had
an idea that when we learned that coach Corso's time
on game day was coming to a close, that odds
are game Day would go to Ohio State and Texas.
But this feels the right way to send him off.
And I mentioned a bit earlier College Game Day is
the premiere college broadcast. This is what every other broadcast,

maybe outside of inside the NBA. You can make a
case this is the best sports show on television.

They've had their highs, they have their personalities, and yeah,

he's putting on the headgear. I don't anticipate that ever happening.
