Speaker 1 (00:00):
Do you think we'll actually see them on stage together? Now?
Who did the Super Bowl halftime show last year? I
don't even remember.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
I don't remember.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
Yeah, I don't know. I don't think they had a
song with with Swifty. But hey, just for all for
all the wives and girlfriends and those who are interested
in watching just because of the halftime show and you
want to see t Swift, Dad, there's a chance Kendrick
Lamar does have a song with Taylor Swift. So just
put it out there.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
I say, here's here's my bold prediction, right, I say
that unless the Chiefs are in the super Bowl, there's
no way she does it. Now, some would say it's
just the opposite that maybe if they're not there, she
might consider doing it. If the Chiefs are in it,
she probably wants to sit in the suite and watch
them game. But I just got a feeling that if

(00:50):
travisit in there, she don't want to be there.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
I feel like with the extravagance to the Super Bowl
has become with all media members and all these podcasts
and shows, I feel like the Kelsey brothers, well I
mean Kelsey adjacent is now in ESPN, so he's going
to be there for work. I would imagine Travis, if
he's not playing in the super Bowl, he'll be with
ESPN or Fox or Amazon Prime doing something there. So

(01:13):
I'm guessing they will be there. It's it's in what Nola, right,
I'm guessing they would be there. I mean, Kelsey would
love to go on Bourbon Street. I think I think
it would happen either way.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
Uh so you're holding out hope that I.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Wouldn't say I'm holding out hope. I don't care enough
this much about it, even though we just spent two
minutes talking about it for some reason. But I for though,
for the wives and girlfriends and whatnot who are interested there,
I think it's there. There's a good chance she does it,
all right, maybe not him, she wants to be the main,
main attraction.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
Well, I'm going to give you another way out there
prediction a little bit. And I pointed this out early
in the week. I've said it before and people know
this and listen to the show, that we are not
into the political scene. We do. We do our show.
We try to remain a political so to speak. But

(02:08):
I will say this, whether Taylor Swift appears at the
super Bowl might be directly impacted by who becomes the
next president of the United States.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Interesting.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
I'm just I'm just saying that folks can go where
they want to go and draw their own conclusions. I'm
just saying that, you know, whether you know, whether she
performs at the super Bowl might might be directly affected
by who wins the November election.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
It's a good point because one of the candidates is
known for going to Nolan's a lot and watching Saints schemes,
and I believe it has a good relationship with Drew Brees.
And I'm not being fascetious. I understand, I understand me
to your point.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Yeah, I'm glad you presented that that perspective of it
as well. We're not doing point counterber, We're just presenting
perspectives on this deal about what might happen on that. Yeah,
it's a good point. You know, who knows that, Uh,
you know, depending on which candidate winds up winning the election,
maybe that influences Taylor Swift's decision on whether you know

(03:18):
she might show up on stage with Kendrick Lamar and
perform at the super Bowl. I mean it's Kendrick Lamar's show. Yeah,
it's his show.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
But would he even want he strikes the spotlight.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
Yeah, he strikes me. However as a smart enough dude
that he might certainly extend the offer to her and
as have her appear, the question is does she want
to appear as a cameo surprise as opposed to being
a headline act. So and and if you're wondering if

(03:51):
it's about money, it's not about money because those who
appeared that this has been out there for some time.
Those who performed the super Ball are not paid. They're
not paid, they're not compensated. They do this on their
own for their own promotion and have an opportunity.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
Apparently Usher did last year's halftime show. I don't Yeah,
I don't remember that.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Yeah, yeah he did. Uh, that's right, he did. And
Usher will be at Moody Center this fall.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
Oh yeah, he's gonna be here two nights. People love Usher.
I think he's a good performer. Yeah, I'll give him that.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Now. He did appear on the View this week.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Oh, big View guy over here.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
Huh And no, I read the story. My late wife
liked the View. She did. I rarely saw it. But uh,
he did appear on the View and Supposedly, Joy Behar
was trying to get him to commit a lah Taylor
swift to support of Kamala Harris and he refused to

(04:54):
do it. Interesting, Yeah, yeah, so you know, again, make
of it what you will. We only lay the things
out there, uh, and not presenting it from a any
side of particular political persuasion any of that.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
Sounds like usure will not be going on the view
anytime soon.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
Uh yeah, probably not. Yeah, might might not be. I
don't know.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
We'll skip that in the next car.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
Was yeah, yeah, yeah, right right, yeah, when he when
he does off of that. Okay, So a tire question
for you tomorrow, because it's gonna be very very hot.
What do you what's what's what's the attire for you
guys tomorrow?

Speaker 1 (05:41):
So Pancho Pancho Outdoors, great brand, the shirt okay, the
poncho shirt which they provided for long worn games they
grew that's gonna be I think are the shirt for
for Saturday. Probably shorts. It's just you know, it's it's
too hot. But I'll be up there in the booth
with you after after the show, so I want to

(06:02):
make sure, uh I'm cool but also kind of smelling
the right way for you, Roger and Greg and and
Terry and whoever else might be around.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
Yeah, I appreciate that, you know, as you as you know,
it's a little bit snug.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
They're in that booth a little bit.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
I've only spotted. I think they do the spring game
for you, and then I did Baylor, but that was
at McLean so this would be really.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
Could bury bodies in that broadcast. But it is a
gigantic broadcast. But they did a great job with that
at McLane's State. It's it's huge that broadcast booth, the
uh and and as I pointed out in the first hour,
the one that Texas State is is smaller, but it's
two tier when we were able to fit it and
make it work last night when I was helping out

(06:49):
the arz On State broadcast with the spotting duties last night.
So anyway, okay, I was just reminding you that's right,
that it's that it's you know, it's it'll be it'll
be kind of cozy up there tomorrow. But you guys,
now you're where you're broadcasting from there to hook them
hang out.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
You have an overhang, right, So at that point, the
sun three o'clock. I don't know. We might get some sun.
I might get some sun.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
But you're kind of fake if I remember Crayley, your
position is actually facing north, isn't it. You're not actually
facing well the stadium, are you.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
Yes, we are, So we're facing east.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
Okay, so it'll be kind of overhead behind you.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
We were getting the sun for the the two thirty kickoff. Yes,
are showing on okay, eleven thirty. Okay, we got a
little bit of sun.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
Okay, okay, and then it'll be largely behind you.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
Yeah, we'll be okay.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
Yeah, that's that's that's not too bad. Okay, that's be okay,
all right, and.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
We we go on at three o'clock. So we're gonna
be down there hook and hang out. Beava Boulevard come by.
You get the food trucks and Big Bertha right next
to us. Get a cold beverage and nice snack, and
watch us preview tomorrow's game. Mike Harbollhart and Mark will
be down there with me as well. Always are really
fun show.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
When you guys got done two weeks ago. I'm not
asking if you personally bet, I'm just saying, would it
be safe to say that a member of the crew,
be it on air or production crew, availed themselves a
big beer. Tha.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
I'll say this. When the show ended and the headsets
were put off, Yeah, I was not looking around to
see what everyone else doing.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
I was.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
I was like, okay, you know what, I'm just gonna
mind my business. I'll put my blinders on. We did
a preast box. We did have Colorado state fans come
up in and give us a free beer from brewery's
in Colorado and Fort Collins are very nice of them.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
Wow. Okay, well that's good to know. Then. Okay, well
I'm I'm just, you know, kind of wondering.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
Yeah, I mean, we'll see. I don't judge, you know, Mark. Yeah,
I wasn't asking for judge myself. No, I was asking
you to rat on somebody though I wasn't not by name.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
You didn't have to throw them under that. I'm just saying,
did someone of veil themselves of a cold malted beverage?
And it could have been after the show off duty?
You know. That's I was just curious, that's all.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
I Let's just say this. One of our one of
our hosts is sponsored by bud Lay. That's all I say, okay,
all right, very good, all right.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
We'll be back to wrap up today's edition and wrap
up the week here on sports Radio AM thirteen hundred,
the zone of the iHeartRadio app.
