Cruise.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
Yes, yes, sir, all right.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
So here's the situation, guys. A woman issuing a fertility
clinic in Georgia because there was a mix up with IVF.
She was trying to get pregnant and her partner was
trying to get pregnant.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
Right, Okay, so she has a partner, Okay, all right,
So she ultimately gave birth to a black baby. She
is white.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
She didn't put in for a black baby, so there
was a mix up, and the clinic said, we did
mess up, right, So she ultimately decided to keep the child.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Right for myself, thank god?

Speaker 3 (02:40):
Right, okay, because it is a life and the and
the baby deserves to live a life and wasn't didn't
choose for all of this, right.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
So here's the situation. Though, it gets worse.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
The biological parents of the child of the embryo wanted
their child back. Yeah, because it was designed paperwork, no bro,
So she sued or they sued her and the clinic
and she had.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
To forfeit the baby. That's wrong after raising.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
It for some time. But the owners of the embryo
wanted their child.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
But but.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
And she well she didn't want to proceed with the
lawsuit because she didn't have money.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Or time for all that. So she ultimately just decided
to give the child back to its parents. I would
do that.

Speaker 4 (03:31):
I would see the place now if I was her. Yeah, yeah,
it was their from jump. Yeah. And I don't understand she.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Dropped all lawsuits.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
Yeah, I don't understand why.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
Like the original like it wasn't her parents of the embryo.
They sued her.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
That's so they suit her for her check because she
didn't want to give the child and they were like, well,
we have to sue you now, and they.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
Sued for the baby to be returned to its rightfle owners.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
It's very Jerry, Jerry Jay. I got two little kids.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
