Speaker 1 (00:00):
What's up? This is Jack Hollow on the Cruise show.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
It's up?
Speaker 1 (00:03):
This glove really on the cruise show? Yea, yeah, yeah, yeah?
Speaker 3 (00:05):
What up?
Speaker 1 (00:05):
This folk hunting on a cruise show. Tap into the
number one afternoon show in l A on Real nine
two three show After Hours Podcast. Let's get straight to it.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
You see.
Speaker 1 (00:16):
It was good. Yeah, good show. Today.
Speaker 3 (00:18):
We talked a lot about the Emmy, So I want
to start with this right off. Rip Okay, Kendrick versus
Beyonce for the best live performance. It's the super Bowl
versus the Beyonce Bowl. Where's everybody standing with that?
Speaker 4 (00:30):
Kendrick legendary, one of the best, if not the best
super Bowl halftime performances of all time.
Speaker 5 (00:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (00:37):
I have to say Kendrick too, just because I feel
like not everyone was tuned into the Beyonce.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
I missed the Beyonce one. She was on a horse
man or she was.
Speaker 6 (00:47):
Social media than I did actually watching, like tuning in. Yeah,
So I feel that kind of puts in a factor
of that.
Speaker 5 (00:54):
And I feel like Kendricks was so much more of
like a cultural moment.
Speaker 6 (00:58):
Yeah, what I mean that you're just waiting to see
if you would call Drake what he did on National TV.
Speaker 4 (01:05):
Do you think jay Z's in trouble because he had
something to do with Kendrick's performance, and he's obviously married
to Beyonce, so he's kind of stuck in the middle.
Speaker 3 (01:12):
When you're when you have that much money, you don't care.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
Yeah, rights problem, Did I say jay Z? Yeah? I
said jay Z?
Speaker 2 (01:19):
Right.
Speaker 6 (01:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:20):
I think it's unanimous though, Kendrick probably and hopefully that
wins that Emmy. That would be amazing. Thank you, jack
You were on the Red carpet last night for I
know what you did last summer, and it wasn't what.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
You had hoped.
Speaker 3 (01:32):
Please tell people to struggle because people, I think sometimes
think that red carpets are glamorous and you're out there
and you're rubbing elbows with the stars, and oh my god, I.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
Wish I rubbed devils with a star. Let me put
it that way.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
I missed Jackie's call last night, and when she calls
from the Red carpet, I know what the fuck's sown
on already.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:49):
Yeah, it was a tough one yesterday. I felt like,
literally like it was I only got two people from
the cast. It was like so usually for carpets. There's
a check in time, and then there's the beginning of
the carpet, and then there's the premiere, the actual premiere
of the movie. So I got there at five, checked in,
(02:11):
the carpet starts at six, and at seven were they
were supposed to start the premiere of the movie. And
the cast is there and there is a lot of
out a lot of outlets. They have to do pictures
first with the press and the photographers.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
They're all yelling it's hell aloud, and then.
Speaker 6 (02:28):
Then all of a sudden it's it's empty, and then
all of a sudden it just packs up on the
carpet and you can't see.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
You're also trying.
Speaker 6 (02:34):
To figure out, okay, do I get like like a
one off interview, and then just kind of keep my
eye on the cast and who's walking.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
Up this one.
Speaker 6 (02:42):
It was six forty two and cast members were barely
at the first three outlets media outlets for interviews, and
there was a row of like twelve, and I was
kind of like towards the middle end. And even at
that point I felt really bad because there was an
outlet who was next to me who came from Spain
and they were one of the.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
Biggest they were.
Speaker 6 (03:03):
She said, She's like, we're one of the biggest outlets
in Spain and she she got the same amount that
I did because we had to group together. They were like, hey,
we have this star for you or this cast member
for you. Can you do a group one because we
got to get inside. I'm like, yeah, your poor planning
doesn't make an emergency for me, like at that point too. Yeah,
(03:26):
And so I'm over here trying to yell at the
like not yell, but like and on red carpets you
have to try and anybody at least one intriguing question.
So they're just kind of like, go towards you.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
So a lot of the.
Speaker 6 (03:39):
Stars of the movie they were walking in. I was
trying to yell at them. Publicists were kind of like
showing me away, and I'm just like, this is this
is really tough. And I felt like pretty defeated at
that point, but it is what it is.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
Standing two hours in the cold for two interviews.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
It sucks. It's that grind. That's that grind.
Speaker 3 (03:58):
Grind. Well, thank you for going. Did you after I
didn't answer your call because I missed it? Did you
call Nico invent Nico.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
Yeah, I did.
Speaker 6 (04:04):
I was actually Jordan who went with me, and then
and her and I just looked at each other and
we're like, like, what the hell was that like?
Speaker 5 (04:13):
And you know what's funny too, is like by the
time she got home, because she hadn't been like returning
any text or calls or anything, so I was like, Okay,
it's you know, it's probably popping whatever.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Busy.
Speaker 5 (04:21):
Then once she called back, she was like, dude, it
was so bad.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
I was like, dude, two hours.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
Yeah, it was. It was. It's not all glitz and glamour.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
Yeah, it's a lot of work, and it's grunt work,
and it's.
Speaker 6 (04:35):
A lot of like like research too, and trying to
make sure that you're also like a fun interview while
also getting to know the movie, and for all of
that to just not happen, it kind of sucks.
Speaker 4 (04:46):
Next time you're on the red carpet and celebrities are
walking by, just start yelling help, dude.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
I bet you they'll come over and help you. Help help.
Speaker 6 (04:56):
You know, there was a celebrity that I'm not gonna
say their name, but.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
They were very.
Speaker 6 (05:03):
Like, uh, they're very rude to the reporters and a
lot of the reporters the.
Speaker 2 (05:09):
Star of this movie. They were how can I say this,
the stars by association they're dating someone on there then
dating someone all right, answers in the comments they.
Speaker 6 (05:22):
Were they were rude to like a list of reporters.
They were like a row of reporters. They had come
back onto the carpet and there's cameras everywhere on the carpet,
and it was just an automatic yelling of no videos,
like yelling in our faces, no videos, And I'm just like,
you just took a picture and did an interview right there,
like I don't understand.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
So yeah, yeah. There was somebody out of celebrities.
Speaker 4 (05:48):
Did a red carpet and this female actress right, she's
big time, big time, big time, And I had my
phone out to record like our our interaction, and their
people put their hand on top of my phone and
just kind of pushed it down, like I was like, oh, okay,
I guess the way I would have sworn.
Speaker 6 (06:03):
I have several patients for that stuff, like I don't
care who you are at the end of the day,
Like I'm a human being and whoever you're treating is
a human and I understand this industry. I get it,
but I I'm very much in a bullshit person and
like I just I want to swing on somebody, but
I know I can't.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Take it easy, jackie.
Speaker 3 (06:22):
And it's never like, you know, the people that are
gracious enough to invite us to these things, like it's
not their fault. It's usually like it's just usually a
cluster fuck, you know what I mean, and people are
late and there's traffic and everything gets rushed.
Speaker 5 (06:34):
You know.
Speaker 3 (06:34):
It's just it's kind of the way that it is,
and you have to kind of be prepared for the
worst and hope for the best. I mean, I've done
a lot of them, man, and and it's like, you know,
they're not all roses for sure.
Speaker 7 (06:43):
It's usually the team of the celebrities that, oh yeah,
I mean exactly, because they're the ones that gotta act
like they're earning their paycheck and I'm stopping you from
being embarrassed and I'm you know, it's trust, man, it's
it's it's yeah, it's usually those people that make it words.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
The celebrities are always super chilling, mostly genuine, you know
what I mean, to be honest, you know. So there's that,
all right, let's talk about our Jackson Wang interview, which
we just did earlier today.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
It'll be out Thursday.
Speaker 3 (07:11):
So there was a hilarious moment where Jackson interacted with
Jackie and didn't really know that Nico and Jackie are
a couple. Yeah, completely expand on that a little who
wants to tell the story, was.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
Like bonding about because my boy brothers.
Speaker 5 (07:34):
And then you know, I think what was he doing?
Speaker 1 (07:36):
He was what it was? He was talking about manhood right, yeah?
Speaker 4 (07:42):
Yeah, yeah, made me a man, made me a man
in certain moments in our lives as men that make
us men, right, And I'm like and I say, yeah, definitely,
there's like a sexual component to like being a man, right,
and then him and Nico went off, Yeah.
Speaker 6 (07:55):
Jackson, He's like yeah, and then he looked at Nico
and he was like yeah. And then first yeah, and
then Nico tapped him up and then uh, and then
he go goes, by the way, this is my fiance.
Speaker 2 (08:07):
And then Jackson gets up.
Speaker 6 (08:09):
He's like, well, you could have told me that.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
But yeah, he wasn't like it's not I didn't think anything.
Speaker 1 (08:17):
How did he apologize though? Describe what he did?
Speaker 2 (08:20):
Was so apologetic he grabbed my hand. He like kneeled
down on the floor. He's like, Queen, I'm so sorry,
and I'm just.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
Like the floor. And then I was like, well, are
you gonna like hit the way he told Nico, You
could have told me.
Speaker 3 (08:37):
He got out of his chair three times at least
during the interview because of funny moments, man, which I
love the best. We got a great report even knowing
him for like a decade, and he's just the greatest man.
And and I can't everyone to see that that interview, but.
Speaker 5 (08:50):
Yeah, I will say there was a funny like post
interview situation that happened with Jackson Wayne, and he didn't
even realize it because you know, in order of like
who was seated next to who, it was Jackson Wayne,
then it was Jackie, then it was me, right, and
then Jackie was like, yeah, you know, by the way,
like I don't know what colone Jackson was lying, but
it was smelling nice, and I'm just like, well, why
(09:11):
were you smelling his cologne? First and foremost I caught
that moment, man, Yeah, And Cruise was like, well, you know,
if you like smelled like the perfume of like a female,
it would have been crazy.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
Mike, I would have said that, No, it would have
been a different story.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
It smells good.
Speaker 6 (09:26):
I always acknowledge it, whether it's a female or a male.
I always acknowledged if they smell really good. And and
he had a cologne on that was like fucking drenched.
So obviously I'm going to be like, oh, like he
had a nice cologne smell yeah.
Speaker 3 (09:39):
So what but yeah, that that's fine. We all agree
with that statement. But what if he would have done it?
Speaker 1 (09:43):
That's what we wanted.
Speaker 5 (09:46):
It was like, Yo, you smell good.
Speaker 6 (09:48):
Well, that's fine because at the same time, I literally,
I literally just said I always acknowledge when someone smells good,
if it's a female or a male, I know.
Speaker 4 (09:57):
But if he would have said that, you would have
went when I'm a home, why are you smelling.
Speaker 6 (10:04):
Fucking like nah, I need to be admitted.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
You were crazy, y'all. You would have swung on them. Yo,
Ken the man, you smell good.
Speaker 2 (10:16):
She did smoke good.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
She did. I'm gonna do it, Jackson. I don't want
to end this podcast on the lie, but we are.
Jackie's lying everybody.
