He doesn't matter how stopped up youare or congested. That's because your T
(00:26):
just always seemed you seem brimming becauseI visit the Low T Center T.
Yeah, I visited Low T Centerwhere most health insurance is accepted. We'll
stay tuned. I need to getmore I need to get more tea.
I think you should go to oneof the eleven communially located Low T centers
here in DFW. Yeah, twentyfive bucks to get that number checked,
(00:46):
and then in less than twenty fiveminutes, you're gonna have your results.
You're gonna here. Can I leavewith some tea? Not exactly, Danny,
they'll explain it. It will becauseit's cost your medicine. Just for
men at the late I recommend it. This is important information. Cash.
It is Uh. If you wantto leave a talk back and hear your
(01:07):
voice on this radio station, we'regonna do it in like half an hour.
That'll be part of the nine tothirty segment we have a Danny song
never before heard, well, nothere here, never before heard here.
There'll be playing at the top ofthat segment celebrity birthdays, including one,
and there's a woman who's having abirthday who has the most, I would
argue, the most impressive body countof celebrity men that I can think of.
(01:33):
Okay, she's old. Okay,it's shocking, and it's salute.
I mean, there's some hot beefnotched on a herb bedpost. Hot beefers,
not beef, hot beefers, hotbeef. Speaking of hot beef,
easy transition, we'd like to welcomein studio right now my only brother in
the whole world who's sitting exactly twelvefeet directly across a nasty bitch, and
(01:57):
he has a nasty bitch. Hisname was Cash A Roy Friends. You
all him so in the song wildlypopular search Desroy Show. You may know
him from Twitch or YouTube. Ifyou follow the collectible network Big Break Tomorrow
Night. You may know him forthe well creative I don't know. So
if a song hasn't been heard here, has it been heard? Yeah?
(02:20):
Yeah, oh for sure. Unfortunatelythe tree falls in the forest. Things
works in the negative way. Well, whatever bullying place, you can argue
that a song that has only beenheard here hasn't really Unfortunately, I said
the joke wrong. How you guysdoing so good? Hi cashy man.
Listen to machine watch the MAVs lastnight. It's a good time to be
(02:43):
alive. Feels like the good olddays. Yeah, man, you fired
up about the MAVs. I amso geeked up. I was. I
was geeked up even after the loss, you know, I mean, listen,
we talked about it briefly and inthe break they felt good about themselves.
You know, this is a goodroster, this is the place,
a lot of good basketball, anduh, they feel pretty confident after halftime
(03:04):
of Game one that they played prettydamn well. The thing just got out
of got out of hand. Theyweren't ready in the first round of a
fight. They got punched in themouth and a couple times in the gut
and whoe and they wobbled. Great, great, great second game, A
good battle. I think it kindof started the second half of the first
game, and they played a littlebetter. They regulated their shooting a little
(03:24):
bit. They closed the gap atleast at a couple of points. We
were watching it at Vegas casino becauseDanny and I have money on the MAVs
minus one. We also are lockedin at seven to one for the Maps
to win the West sixteen to onefor the Maps win the tratulations on all
that, thank you, but spendit now, Washington, Well, we
already lost our first bet. Welost our first bet, well outside of
(03:46):
that part. Yeah, but watchingit at the casino before we were leaving
on our flight, and you andI were like, all right, they
caught it the thirteen. This ismanageable, you know. But anyway,
they did play a little more likeMaps of the second half of that game,
and despite defense dic eating how apparentlythe series is going to go certainly
the first two games. They senta big old message yesterday dude, that
was nice. Dude, again, series don't start until you the road team
(04:09):
wins one. And that was thefirst road team so far in the Western
Conference to win a road game inthe playoffs. I mean, we're early,
butfman Pacers did it in the Eastthe week yesterday as well. But
yeah, anyway, good times.Don't have you into talk MAVs today.
I want to have you in tosort of review the weekend that we had
my brother and I, Christina, his wife Mary, a bunch of other
(04:31):
assorted friends over America. Let's godown that roster. It goes deep.
Converged on Las Vegas, Nevada asthe band fish, a lot of nervous
dudes going through checkpoints. I'm sure. Can you imagine the checkpoint at the
sphere and we have some friends.Yeah, that didn't make it a first
(04:54):
A purse turned upside down and thingsconfiscated. Really, oh yeah, And
the argument it wasn't us, Itwasn't known in our traveling party with some
friends of ours. And the argumentagainst that is, like, dude,
what do you do? Like, look around, what are you doing?
This is fish in a barrel. You could pick anyone and pat them down,
and sure you'll find something a littlequestionable. The ref could call holding
(05:15):
on everything, yeah, exactly inevery single play, some of them blatant
holding. Yeah, and there wasjust yeah, cooler heads prevailed. And
the two options are kick you outand call the authorities, or let's just
agree to throw this away and youcan go on into the show. Yeah,
look for guns, look for explosives. That's what you're here to do,
(05:39):
all right, you chill out. We're talking about Fish at the Sphere.
They are the second band ever toperform at this incredible facility in Las
Vegas. You two, obviously you'redoing a forty show run that Cash went
to as well. But this wasmy first tiptoe into this massive concert events
space right behind the Venetian Resort andcasino. And uh, man, I
(06:03):
don't know where you want to start. I want to start, yeah,
please, Okay, So a coupleof questions so we can kind of establish
some physical context of this thing. Is it a standalone thing or is it
connected to a hotel casino? It'sconnected to the Venetian by a like a
tunnel, a tunnel, a skywalkyep. But you most people that enter
(06:26):
the Sphere, I think, doso by going to the Venetian and walking
down this long, massive corridor that'sprobably half a mile. And how cool
is that? The corridor? It'scool, but it's also you know,
a little claustrophobic. Yeah you knowwhat I'm saying, Especially as you get
close to you know, showtime,it gets pretty packed, and then after
the show, same way. Uh. But it's just like everything else in
(06:47):
Vegas. You know, if youyou don't have to leave the casino if
you don't want to. Sure, and the energy of the fans going into
a show like that, it justgets built up as you walk and closer.
Everybody just cannot wait to get started. Walking into a you know,
sporting venue with you know, gettingoff a subway and play together to a
(07:08):
playoff game. Everyone's kind of pullingin the same direction. So next the
next question, Yes, so yougo through the tunnel, you go into
the actual structure, and I'm surethey're not going to reveal too much of
what its capabilities are when the houselights are on and music's playing before the
band comes on, so you're kindof like looking around, going okay,
(07:30):
this is cool. What was thefeeling when you first got when your senses
were first tuned into what this thingreally was with the sound, the lights?
What was that? Describe that moment? Number one and number two?
How did you feel in that moment? You don't even know how close to
(07:50):
the show you're getting by the waythat you're asking this question, because the
first thing when you walk in isnot the actual show place. It's the
it's the what's the lobby concourse? If you will area first off. It's
lit, you know, beautifully andneon. It's got an ambience, you
(08:13):
know, glow about it. Andthe music playing And they did the same
thing with you too. The musicplaying in that arena or in that part
of the arena is the band, but it's a stripped down version of songs
you've heard, almost like slowed down. It's just like dipping your toe into
a bath. And when the showis happening and you walk out into the
(08:39):
concourse to go to the bathroom orget a beer or something, not to
skip ahead, you cannot hear thestage and the music at all. That
was more odd if you want,or shocking to me than just about anything
else. Yes, is the secondyou walk down, because we talked about
the directional sound capabilities and Trey sayingthat you can stand on this X and
the singer singing Italian and we'll getto the pop and then move your left
(09:03):
and then you can hear the singerin Spanish if they wanted to send it.
It's that pinpoint directional the audio. But yeah, when you walk down
the tunnel, it just disappears. It's the audio is hard to describe.
It's just I've never heard anything likeit so unique. I'd much rather have
Mikey explain the second part of yourcore experience. Yeah, the thing is
(09:24):
there's a lot of mayhem. Youknow, I I have to do this
right now, so I may throwa flag on myself. You determine,
You determined if I was in theright of the wrong. So we're trying
to get it in the building. We didn't use that quarter we just described.
We walked outside, big lines, walking back and forth. We had
general admission pit tickets, which isa different interest than all the one hundred
(09:46):
two and three. And so I'mwith Christina. She's got these pink pants
on. She looks adorable. Thisis awesome. And we walk up to
a guy, a guy who workedthere. He's pushing a kind of a
folded up wheelchair and I'm just like, hey man, we're trying to get
to the the ga flo War entrance. Where is that? And he kind
of looks over both shoulders, tellyou what, have a seat, I'll
take you right to it. I'msorry, what, yeah, And I'm
(10:09):
you know, ask some cocktails. And look, there's a lot of people
between us and the Fear right now. So Christina sit down and he undoes
the wheelchair and plops Christina in thewheelchair and proceeds to walk us directly past
every person waiting right to an entrance. So the cute pink pants was the
secret handshake too, probably, SoChristina is incredibly not look and not look
(10:33):
at me type person, So shewas like kind of embarrassed. But we'd
had a few drinks and I'm like, list listen to the man in the
chair with wheels now, and I'mlike, butt on a little show if
you want, you know, comeon, stop looking for a little show.
Like what was that? What doyou do with your hands? If
she wanted a claw hand out play, yeah, I'm not picking up the
(10:58):
flag on this penalty. And hetook us directly to the front. Claw
He actually said it out loud,no and he's doing it, doing anything
what? And he took us rightto the front. We passed everyone,
and then he took us into thevenue, got our wristbands, and he
(11:18):
took us into the dark and littlehallway that goes to the pit and he's
like when it got dark, he'slike, all right, I jump out.
You guys are good. Unbelievable. And I gave him twenty bucks in
a handshake, which I maybe shouldhave given him more. I don't know.
I don't know if that's why he'sdoing it, And that's the thing
I did. Look, I didn'task for this. I would never ask
for anything. Was trying to impresspink pants lady. Possibly, so I
(11:41):
think he's just running a game.Okay, maybe how many how many trips
like that does he take? Andthen how does he triple his nightly income
by doing it before the show starts? Yeah, and he's probably got something
on the way out too. Theother side of that is we dinged our
tickets, but we were at thewrong entrance because he was wheeling us in.
So then when we got inside thevenue, I looked and I go,
(12:03):
you know what, these tickets arelive, the ones on my phone.
Like I could sell these tickets rightnow for about three thousand dollars each.
The resale of the prices good wasunbelievable, unbelievable, But for I
don't know, karma or whatever,and I'm not a bad person. I
(12:24):
didn't. I ate apparently two livetickets that were in my phone that I
could have slung for six thousand dollars, but I didn't do it anyway?
Did I do anything wrong there?Did you do anything wrong? No,
it was offered to you and youjust said yes. We said yes,
So you're on the floorway, Yeah, they will, was right, So
that's what I'd saying. It wasa little chaotic and then bam, next
(12:45):
thing you know, you walk inand they were very chill. It was
just like a green kind of ambientscreen that would then change to a reddish
pink. I mean, there wasnothing going completely essentially just to eliminate I
don't want to give away their thebig reviewal anyway, and to illuminate the
venue as people are coming in andwalking up these steep things whatever. And
then we got on the floor ofthe pit and then yeah, essentially the
(13:07):
light the house lights dim or thesphere itself dims. Fish walks out to
muted lighting on the stage and thenthey grab their gear. The crowd goes
nuts and they start. Now,I'll say, and this is maybe a
far larger discussion, and look atwhat time is already what the capabilities of
this sphere are versus what they useit for. They could like mind manipulate
(13:33):
and torture the people that are inthere, Like if you want to go
the highest level of sensory overload torture, which I imagine is a thing at
get Mo or whatever. They couldmake everyone in their barf insane, insane.
They could make you insane. Sofish knowing that it's experimental music and
that people might be influenced a littlemore than they would be at the average
(13:54):
U two show, everything they didwas kind not everything, but it was
kind of. It was slow. There was nothing fast moving ever on the
sphere for the health of the peoplethere. What first came up was just
kind of a blast of red andblue colors as they started their first song,
and yes, there's oohs and ohs, and then yeah, you can't
believe what you're looking at. Itjust doesn't all it doesn't make sense.
(14:18):
And it was gorgeous. Are wegetting into what happened under the sea?
We can, because, like Isaid, the audience could get sick,
and a member of my traveling party, I won't say who, but I
will say she was wearing pink pantsand was in a wheelchair upon her entrance,
didn't make it through the first set, didn't make it through the first
set. I'm sorry, what didshe get sick? She got sick,
(14:41):
like sick or like booss. Ohno, and I promise you this is
no drug related and this is nottoo much alcohol. I mean no,
she can handle her ass. Wehad to walk out and we had to
find what they have in the sphere, which is a sensory sensory relief room,
(15:09):
which is a small room in thelobby where they have bean bags and
real quiet lighting and if you startlosing your s because of the over stimulation
visually, there's a safe space.Yeah, you can go. This is
available to customer, absolutely checked in, almost like a little hotel. They
asked me my first name and thelast initial H and led us in all.
(15:35):
It's called a sensory room. Ithink there's a bean bag, a
little square TV sized light to changethe light in the room towards neutral.
And again, if you can't hearthe show when you're walking around the concourse,
you're sure not going to hear itin the sensory room, right.
And they know that they've got thisweapon that is so powerful, and again
this is not a fish thing, this is a sphere thingy. They know
(15:56):
that they have a weapon that isso powerful that even when they're not trying
they can bend the mind of somebodywho's not ready for it, and that's
exactly what happened. And they havea quiet space. Were there a lot
of people in this nobody, itwas private, and there's also nowhere to
sit down. Really, so justthat bean Bags was nice and she curled
up. I'll tow you a picture. It's cute. How long were you
(16:18):
in there? Maybe ten minutes?Okay at one point I don't know if
she said on air, but yeah, she went to the bathroom and heaved
what And it was just because justbecause I was gonna say, yeah,
I was gonna say the thing thatset her off was the first time I
think that they use the full powerwhen when when bands play the sphere,
they do this ambient thing that's psychedelicor you know, you know ambient right,
(16:42):
dancing color, Yeah, dancing colors, you know what. It's still
impressive, but every once in awhile they go full power. Yeah,
and that imagery. The first timethat they did it was a song called
song I Hear the Ocean Sing, and it puts you about one hundred fifty
feet underwater. Yes, you're lookingup through the water where fish are dancing
(17:03):
everywhere, and there's sun coming throughthe waves and these huge rock coral valley
that you're in with seaweed. It'slike you're in the middle of this underwater
underwater and the ocean floor. It'slike you're a huge fish tank. And
then you start raising toward the surfaceand that movement is what got her and
(17:30):
it is all encompassing. Did youfeel it too? I mean, not
to the point of nausea, butdid you feel no, it's it's again,
never fast, it's but it's notpossible. It looks like the stage
is almost going up. It's socomplete, uh immersion in a feeling that
(17:51):
it's impossible not to be a littlebit either wowed or blown away by it.
And can you imagine if you guyshad been on mushrooms for this,
I mean I could, I can'timagine. I can imagine that, you
can imagine it. I will saythis, I'm imagining it now. We
were Ga Pitt. It was tooclose for to for the full sphere experience
(18:15):
experience if this was one this wasour night or I mean we went to
the middle two nights. It wastoo close because you're close to the band,
you're close to the back wall, and it doesn't you don't. You
see it, but you don't reallygrasp what the designs that they're they're putting
up on this thing, or howjust beautiful it is. We were too
(18:37):
close. If you're ever go tothe sphere, I would say at least
middle of one hundred section, butmaybe two hundred level, three hundred level,
Like it's unlike most venues where thefurther back it's better. I don't
know if it's quite that accurate, but I would have no problem sitting in
four to ten or whatever the highestmost centered. Yeah, I saw it.
I saw you two in the threehundred level, and it doesn't matter
about seeing the band, And that'swhat's different, dificult about understanding what this
(19:02):
sphere experience is. Like. Itdid look cooler up there because it is
a massive, massive screen and beingon the floor versus being up one hundred
level where we were the second night. You'd like that better, right,
I did. Yeah, you couldsee it just so much, so much
better. Yeah, And Jude,I will say another difference between fish and
YouTube is Fish learned how to messwith the audio a little bit more.
(19:26):
There's some directional stuff that it's almostlike a vinyl left left, you know
what I'm saying, left right quOh. There's times where you know,
suddenly there's a bass solo and gatkind of rifts over to your to his
side of the stage, and youhear that thumping coming from whatever, and
it doesn't mess with the mix inappropriately. It's the last question before we take
(19:49):
a quickie here. The audio wasperfect, Yeah, it was. I
would like to have been in themiddle a little bit more. Yeah,
but it's real, really good.Yeah, it's really good. It's just
so it's a different it's different. If you ask me if it's the best
concert experience I've ever had, Idon't. I can't even answer that because
it was just in a different category. Do you remember me saying that after
(20:11):
you two? Is that you can'tsay it was the best concert ever because
it's it's a concert, Yes,yeah, it's it's a different thing.
It's not a rock show. It'snot a Imax movie. It's a weird
hybrid of a of a new differentmedium almost, and it is incredible.
All right, Uh, cash's gonnastick with us. We'll tell you about
(20:33):
why we saw two people get draggedout in a very odd way. There's
some wild stuff going on at thatdamn place, and uh, we got
some birthdays as well. Some ofyour talkbacks will do it all next right
here on ninety seven one the Free
