I am Sherry Mackie, and it's time for us to
go to God in prayer, and as always I ask
that you join along with me in prayer. You know
there's something the old folks will say, the Lord to
keep those that want to be kept. We need the
Lord to keep us in this day and age where
life is life in, and the way that the economy

(00:20):
is and what's going on politics, And we need the
Lord to keep us, to keep our minds when we
get weary. So that's what we're going to pray about
on today, Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ,
we come before you today with open hearts and to
be honest, God, we got weary soul. You know us,
You know us better than we even know ourselves. So
we don't come to you pretending to be anything. You

(00:43):
see what nobody else sees, the thoughts that race through
our minds, the burdens we carry, and silence the fears
we try the hard to bury deeper hide the Lord.
You never turn away from us. You are the keeper
of our souls, guardian of our hearts. Lord, we're asking
you today keep us, keep us, God, keep our hearts

(01:06):
from growing hard in a world that's continually wounding us.
Keep it tender in your hands, teachable, humble, and kind.
Let it be with compassion, Let it echo your love.
Don't let bitterness find a place to rue. Don't let
unforgiveness take hold. Instead, fill every corner of our hearts

(01:27):
with your spirit, that we can love like you love
and live like you lead us to. Oh Father, God,
keep our minds when anxiety tries to steal our peace. God,
when confusion clouds our thoughts, when doubt whispers lies in
the stillness. Lord, cover our minds with the helmet of salvation.

(01:49):
Let every thought bow before Jesus Christ. Replace our worry
with worship. God. Silence the noise of fear with the
sound of your truth in the world of God. Let
us think on things that are true and noble, and right,
and peer and lovely and praise worthy. God, let your

word be the loudest voice in our lives. Let us
clearly hear you. God. You said in your word that
your sheep hear your voice, or the stranger they will
not follow. You said you would keep us in perfect
peace when we keep our minds stayed on You. So
help us God, to fix our eyes on you. Even
when the winds blow, even when we don't understand, even

when everything around us feels uncertain, You are not shaken,
You are not caught by surprise. God. You are our rock,
You are our refuge, You are our shelter and our strength. Lord.
We don't want to just be kept from harm, God,
we want to be kept close to you. Hold us
in the shadow of your wings. God, Wrap us in

your presence when we're too tired to pray. M speak
over us, when we don't have the words God, and
when we fear a life slipping. Catch us. By your grace. God,
you're able to keep us from falling in to present
us faultless with great joy. Thank you, Jesus, You are
the lifting of our heads today. God, in every day forward,

we surrender our hearts and our minds in too your hands.
Let them be instruments of your glory. Keep us in
your love and your peace and your will. God, in
the powerful, wonderful, matchless name of Jesus. Amen, Amen, Amen,
