Speaker 1 (00:00):
And it's time for us to go to God in prayer.
And this morning I've been kind of contemplating and thinking
about just being obedient to God and walking in His
obedience for our lives. So that's what I want to
pray about today, Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ,
we come before you God with humbled hearts, longing to
(00:20):
walk in step with your will for our lives. You
are holy, God, and you call us to be holy people.
You are righteous, you are faithful in all your ways.
You've called us not only to believe God, but to
obey You, to live out our faith with hands and
(00:41):
feet that follow where you lead. You said in your
words that the steps of the righteous are ordered by
the Lord. But God, we got to do the stepping.
We confess God that at times we've not followed you.
We have strayed away, the moments when our comfort mattered
more than your commands Jesus, when we chose convenience over conviction,
(01:03):
when we listen to fear instead of our faith. God,
forgive us, Lord, wash us clean in the blood of Jesus,
restore in us a willing spirit, at a heart of
flesh that beats for your truth. You said in your word,
if you love me, keep my commandments. So teach us
Lord what it means to love you in our choices
(01:26):
every day. Teach us God, what it means to love
you in our relationships, in our thoughts, and in our
daily routines. God, let your word not be distant or forgotten,
but ridden on our hearts, etched and to our soul,
and ever on our lips. God, give us ears to
hear your voice above the noise of the world. Give
(01:47):
us eyes to see the path that You've laid before us,
even when it's narrow, even when it's steeped. Give us
courage to follow. God, Let our obedience not be out
of duty alone, but born from the light in who
you are. When we're tempted to take shortcuse, remind us
of your truth. When the road is hard, remind us
(02:08):
of your promises. When we're weary, God, strengthen us with
the joy of your presence. Make us steady, Lord, firm
and faith unwavering and devotion. Holy Spirit, be our counselor
be our God. Help us to desern right from wrong,
truth from deception, Your will from our own will. Let
us not chase applause or the approval of man. But God,
(02:32):
let us seek only to please the heart of our
heavenly fither Jesus, you walk in perfect obedience, even until death.
On the cross, you showed us what love looks like, surrender, sacrifice,
and trust. Who got our desires to be more and
more like you? Shape us. God, who into images more
(02:55):
and more like you, daily shape our will until it
bows to Your will. Teach us God the joy that
comes not from doing our own thing, but from walking
closely with our safe Him. Father. We want to be
found faithful, not famous, not flawless, just faithful to love you,
to trust you, to obey you. God, Let our lives
(03:16):
be a testimony of your grace and your glory for
those that are around us, for our family, on our job,
in our church, in the world. God, let every step
we take bring us closer to Your heart. God. We
pray all of this in the name of Jesus Christ,
our Lord, our Savior, our King, and our example. Amen. Amen, Amen,
