Speaker 1 (00:00):
It is time for us to go to God in prayer.
I am Sherry Mackie, and I invite you to join
along with me in prayer. You know, I look at
the news stories and the reports about the hundreds of
lives lost in the flooding in Texas. In my heart
aches for all of the families impacted, the homes lost,
(00:22):
the lives that are devastated as a result, and I
want to pray about that today. Heavenly Father, in the
name of Jesus Christ, we come before you today with
heavy hearts, lifting up the families in Texas and across
our nation who have been devastated by the floods. Lord,
the waters have risen, but so has our cry for help.
(00:43):
So many have lost homes, belongings, and the sense of
safety they once knew. But even in the midst of destruction, God,
we turn to you, our refuge, our strong tower, our
very present help in the times of trouble. God, you
see the tears of the fathers and the mothers who
are trying to stay strong families and the loss of
(01:04):
their children. The silent prayers God of the fathers looking
for strength to lead throughout this storm, the confusion and
the fear and the hearts of the young and the elderly. God,
you see the ones who have lost everything. But Lord,
we thank you that even when all is washed away,
(01:25):
you remain steady. Your love remains, your power remains, Your
promises still stand. God, comfort the hurting and the grieving.
Right now, in the name of Jesus God, we pray
for supernatural peace to saturate every heart. Peace says surpasses understanding,
(01:46):
peace and steadies the shaking soul, and peace that reassures
them they are not forgotten. You are with them in
the rising waters. You are the same God who parted
the red sea, who calmed the storm, who walks on water,
and you are deal mighty, Just save. Lord. Let your
hand of provision move swiftly open doors for shelter, food,
(02:07):
clean water, and medical care. Bless the volunteers, the emergency responders,
and all those serving on the front lines. God, let
the body of Christ rise up in compassion and generosity.
Let communities rally together in love and unity, bearing one
another's burdens. Just as you commanded us to, Father, we
ask you to comfort those who are grieving, those who
(02:29):
have lost loved ones in this tragedy. Wrap them in
your loving arms and whisper, hoping to their weary spirits.
Be near to the broken hearted, save those who are
chrustian spirit. Just as your word says in Psalms thirty
four eighteen, God, we declare restoration in the name of Jesus,
what the enemy meant for evil. We ask you to
(02:50):
turn around for good. Rebuild what's been torn down. Not
just the houses and the cities, but God, the faith,
the families, the feature. Let beauty rise from the ashes,
and testimonies spring forth from the pain. God, You're able
to do exceedingly abundantly above all we could ask or imagine. God,
let this be a moment where your glory is revealed.
(03:12):
Even in disaster. God, even in grief and hurt and pain,
Let there be divine encounters, miraculous breakthroughs and testimonies, a
wave God of revival. God, let our nation know that
you still rain, even when the rivers rage. You are
still God.
