Speaker 1 (00:00):
I am Sherry Mackie at his time right now for
us to go to God in prayer, and as always
I ask that you join along with me in prayer.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
Can I be honest for just a second.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
You know, when you're a public figure, you leave yourself
open or you are open to all kind of public
scrutiny and comments and all of that. And we live
in a day and a age where people are bullies online.
They don't mind taking those thumbs with those fingers and
saying hurtful words or comments and not realizing there's a
(00:29):
human being with real feelings on the other side of
those comments that you're making. And I know for me,
I have been on the receiving end for something I
didn't do and other people were saying negative and hurtful
of horrible things, and I had to pray and say, God,
make sure my heart stays pure, make sure that I
don't get bitter.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
Silence is the noise.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
I need peace in the midst of all of the
negative comments and the noise. That's what I want to
pray about. Peace in the midst of the noise of
a God. In the name of Jesus Christ, we come
to you God. Sometimes we feel weary. God, the voices
around us are so loud and piercing and relentless and cruel.
(01:11):
The sting of criticism, the weight of judgment, the echo
of hurtful words.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
It's all too much sometimes.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
God, We're trying to stand strong, but our hearts feel
heavy and our souls feel bruised. Lord, when we feel overlook,
when we feel misunderstood, when we feel inadequate, remind us
of who we are in you. You are not the
voice of condemnation. You are not the whisper of doubt.
You are not the shadow of shame. You are the
God who speaks life. And when you speak the noise
(01:41):
got about everything has to bow to the name of Jesus. Signs,
every lie God, every word meant to harm, every label
not places by your hand. You said in Isaiah fifty
four seventeen, no weapon formed against us shell prosper, and
every time that rises against us in judgment you will condemn.
So today God, we rise up in that promise. God,
we surrender the opinions of people and.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
Cling to the truth of your word.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
God, you said in your words that we are fearfully
and wonderfully made. You said in your words that we
are chosen. You said in your words that we are
the head and not the tale, above only and never beneath.
You said that we are your beloved, created with purpose
and crowned with grace. Even when others reject us, God,
you still receive us. Even when we feel alone, you
sit right with us.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
You never leave us.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
Even when we question our own works and value, You
remind us we are a royal priesthood, children of the
Most High god Father.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
Drown out the noise.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
With the melody of your mercy. Let your spirits speak
louder than the critics.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
Speak peace into.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
The chave am swirling around our minds. Let your truth
become the loudest voice in our lives. God, help us
not to shrink that, but to stand tall and who
You've called us to be. Remind us that we don't
have to prove ourselves to anyone.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
We only need to be faithful to You.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
The world may not always understand us, but you know
us fully, love us completely.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
God, heal our hearts.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
God from the wounds of words spoken or even comments
made online in haste, or teach us God to forgive
not because they deserve it, but because we deserve freedom.
Release us from the chains of approval seeking, and let
us walk boldly knowing that God, we're already accepted by you.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
Lord.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
Thank you for being the still small voice that comes
the storm within us. Thank you for never leaving our side.
Thank you for loving us when we feel unlovable. Today, God,
we choose to tune our ears to Heaven.
