Speaker 1 (00:00):
I am Sherry Mackie, and it's time for us to
go to God in prayer. And as always, I ask
that you join along with me in prayer. You know
today is Family Day, and anybody who knows me knows
just how much I love my family. Baby. I love
(00:21):
the Greens, I love the Mackies, I love the Alexander's,
I love the flowers. I love everybody, immediate family and extended.
I love my family. And today I want to pray
for families. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ,
we come before you with grateful hearts, acknowledging you as
(00:44):
the creator of every family, the author of every lineage,
and the keeper of every soul. Lord, you are the
one who sets the lonely in families and surrounds us
with people to love, people to grow with, and people
to walk through life beside. And so today God, we
lift up the family, every mother, every father, every husband,
(01:09):
every wife, every son, every daughter, every grandparent, every sibling,
every cousin, every auntie, uncle, blended bund and more. God,
we place our families in your hands. Father, we ask
that you would be the foundation of our homes and
(01:30):
our families. Where there's been division. God, you bring unity
where there's been silence. God, you bring communication where there's
been chaos. God, bring your peace that passes all understanding.
Let love rise up in our hearts again, real love,
selfless love, forgiving love, the kind of love that covers
(01:50):
a multitude of sin and reflects your own heart. For us, Lord,
we speak restoration over broken relationship ships. Heal the wounds
of betrayal. God, heal the wounds of disappointments and misunderstandings. God,
rebuild trust where it has been shattered. Tear down walls
(02:10):
of pride and bitterness and unforgiveness. And in their place, God,
what seeds of grace and reconciliation. Remind every family member
that we are not each other's enemies. Remind us that
the enemy is the accuser, who comes to steal, kill
and destroy. But you, God, came that we might have life,
(02:32):
and have it more abundantly. God, we pray for the parents. Lord,
strengthen them for the journey. Give wisdom to every mother
and father raising children in uncertain times. Surround them with support,
Give them deserned to lead, and love, courage to correct,
and compassion and endurance to keep showing up even when
(02:52):
they feel weary. God, we cover the children and the
youth in our families. God protects them body, mind and soul.
Shield them from harm, deception, and the lives of the enemies.
Let them grow in favor with You and with Man.
Fill them with boldness, God, purpose, and identity in Christ.
May they know they are fearfully and wonderfully made. May
(03:15):
they carry the legacy of faith into the next generation. God,
we speak peace over our households. We declare that no
weapon formed against our families shall prosper. We rebuke every
generational curse, every cycle of dysfunction, every spirit of addiction, violence, poverty,
and abandonment. Let the blood of Jesus speak a better
(03:36):
word over our homes. Lord, breathe on every marriage, Breathe
on every relationship, every connection. God, let your presence fill
every room, every dinner table, every breakfast table, every holiday,
every conversation. Teach us God how to love like you love.
Teach us how to pray together, walk together, and grow together. Father,
(03:58):
bless our families not just survive, but to thrive. Make
us a light in our communities, a testimony of your
grace and your goodness. Use us God to reflect your
kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. God, we
thank you in advance for what you're doing in our families.
Thank you for bringing healing, Thank you for bringing restoration.
(04:18):
Thank you for renewing our families even right now. You
are the God who does exceedingly abundantly above all we
could ask, imagine, or think. So God, with full hearts
we say, let your will be done in our families.
Let your name be glorified through our lives. Is a
powerful name of Jesus. We pray, Amen, Amen, Amen,
