Speaker 1 (00:00):
I am Sherry Mackee. It is time for us to
go to God in prayer, and as always I invite
you to join along with us in prayer. And you know,
today I wanted to pray about peace. There's so much
going on in our nation, in our world, and if
we'll be honest in our own personal lives, that sometimes
(00:20):
we just need peace, the peace of God that he
promises that surpasses our human understanding. Heavenly Father, we come
before you today grateful for your promise of peace, a
peace that goes beyond our human understanding, a peace beyond
what our minds can reason, a peace beyond what our
circumstances may dictate. Lord. So often we find ourselves surrounded
(00:44):
by noise, by distractions, by worries, by storms. Life comes
at us fast, unexpected bills, painful losses, strained relationships, sickness
in our bodies, anxiety in our Mistyet even in the
of the chaos, you promise to be our refuge. You
promise to be our anchor when the waves are crashing
(01:07):
all around us. Father, today we lay every burden at
your feet. We give you the cares that keep us
awake at night. God, we give you the frustrations that
weigh heavy on our hearts, the offenses that try to
steal our joy. God, we refuse to carry what you
never designed us to carry. We choose to release every
(01:27):
worry into your hands, trusting that you are working all
things together for our good. Lord. You are bigger than
the doctor's report. Thank you, Jesus. You're bigger than the setback.
You're bigger than the disappointment. Thank you. That we can
rest in knowing that you are in control, Lord God,
in our hearts and our minds, with this supernatural peace
(01:50):
that you promised us. Let us stand like a mighty
shield against fear, against doubt, against discouragement. When worry tries
to creep in, let your peace rise. When anger or
offense tries to take ruth, let your spirit remind us
to let it go. Help us to live anchered not
in what we see, but in who you are. God.
(02:11):
You're faithful, God, You're sovereign. God, You're all ways present.
You never leave us, you never forsake us. Father. We
pray for the one right now who feels overwhelmed by life.
Surround them God with your presence in such a real,
tangible way that they know that You're right there with them.
Whisper in their spirits even right now, that they are
(02:34):
not forgotten, that they are not forsaken, that they are
not alone. Fel their hearts with calm, God, Fel their
minds with clarity and their soul with strength. Today, Lord,
we declare that we will not be shaken. We will
not be consumed by fear. We will not let circumstances
dictate our joy. Our peace is not found in the
(02:56):
absence of problems, but in the presence of Jesus Christ.
Thank you Lord for being our peace. Thank you Lord
for being our achre. Thank you Lord for being our
safe place and soul. Father, we choose to walk in
that peace today and not just today, every day, no
matter what comes. God, we know that the storms may roar,
but it cannot take away our peace. We are anchored
(03:18):
in You. We give you glory, we give you honor,
we give you praise. Oh. May the peace of God
that surpasses all understanding. God our hearts and our minds today,
Let its presence calm our spirits, steady our steps and
remind us that we are never alone as we walk
in His peace today,
