I am Sherry Mackie, and it's time right now for
us to go to God in prayer, and as always,
I invite you to do it along with me and prayer.
My aunt Lula Miller sent the family a text the
other morning and it was just a John fourteen one
with a prayer. And that's what I want to pray
about today as I think about the state of our nation,

the state of our cities, this is what I want.

To pray for.

Heaven a Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we
come before you today, standing on the.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Promise of your word in John fourteen.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
In one Jesus, you said, let not your heart be troubled.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
You believe in God, believe also in me.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
Lord, You knew we would face seasons of uncertainty, trials
that shake us, in storms that make our hearts heavy.
Yet you gave us this command not as a suggestion,
but as an anchor that we do not have to
live in fear or terror, for our trust is in you, Father.
There are so many reasons our hearts could be troubled.

Financial struggles, broken relationships, sickness, grief, decisions that feel too
heavy to carry, the state of our nation but today
we release every weight at your feet. We surrender every
anxious thought, every restless night, every fearful imagination, and we

(01:25):
exchange it for your pieces surpasses all human understanding. Lord,
help us to believe you more deeply, not just to
believe in you with our minds, but to.

Trust you with our whole hearts.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Remind us that you are faithful when everything else is unstable.

Remind us that.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
You are still God when the world fels out of control.
Remind us that the same Jesus who calm the raging
sea can also calm the storms within our souls.

We speak to troubled right now.

Heart's filled with worry, with stress, or with fear, and
we declare peace.

Be still in the name of Jesus.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Let your presence wrap around every person listening right now.
Breathe fresh hope into their weary souls. Restore joy God
where despair has taken root. Bring light God where there
is darkness, and let faith rise again, For you are
a God who keeps your promises. Lord Jesus, you told

us to believe in you, and so we choose to
believe that You're still working even when we can't see it.
We believe that you're making the way where there.

Seems to be no way.

We believe that you are holding us, that you're carrying us, that.

You're ordering our steps.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
We believe that no matter what may come, nothing can
separate us from your love. Father, Let not our hearts
be troubled. Let us be still and know that you
are God. Anchor us in your peace, Teach us to
walk in trust, Help us to live as people who
believe in the One who conquer.

Oh and so today, God, we lift our hearts, we
lift our worries, we lift our families, we lift our fears,
We lift our futures.
