Speaker 1 (00:00):
I am a Sherry Mackie and his time right now
for us to go to God in prayer. And as
always I invite you to join along with me in prayer.
You know, so often we do things that we think
are seemingly innocent, watching the horror movies, and you know
all the things that open us up to a spirit
(00:23):
of fear. Well, you know, hey, listen, I want to
pray that the Lord would break that spirit of fear.
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come
before you today in the mighty Name of Jesus. Thank
you for being our peace in the midst of panic,
our courage in the face of uncertainty, and our strength
(00:44):
when fear tries to steal our faith. Lord, your word
declares that You've not given us a spirit of fear.
Yet so often we find ourselves bound by fear. We
fear the unknown. We fear failure, We fear rejection. Some
of us fear losing but we work so hard for
while others fear that will never have enough. We fear sickness,
(01:06):
We fear heartbreak, We fear disappointment and change. We even
fear stepping into the very calling that you've placed on
our lives. Father, we confess that sometimes we've opened the door.
We've opened the door to fear through our thoughts by
rehearsing worst case scenarios instead of standing on your promises.
We've opened the door through doubt, believing what the enemy
(01:28):
says more than what you've already declared. We've opened the
door through comparison, looking at what others have and convincing
ourselves that we're not enough. But today, Lord, we close
the door in the name of Jesus. We reject the
spirit of fear, and we receive the power of love
and a sound mind that you've freely given to us.
(01:48):
We choose to trust you even when we can't trace you.
We choose to believe that you're bigger than every storm,
we are stronger than every trial, and you're faithful through
every season. God replaces our fears with faith. When fear
tells us we are alone, remind us that you will
never leave us or forsake us. When fear whispers that
we're not capable, remind us that through Christ, we can
(02:12):
do all things. When fear tries to paralyze us, fill
our hearts with your power, the same power that raised
Jesus from the dead and lives on the inside of us. Lord,
we receive your love right now, because your perfect love
cast out all fear. Let that love wash over every anxiety.
Father in our heart, calm every racing thought, and silence
(02:35):
every nae of the enemy. Give us a sound mind,
steadied discipline, and anchored in your word. Father, we thank
you that we don't have to live afraid of the
future because you already, Holy God, we don't have to
fear the outcome, because you already have written our victory.
So we lift our hands, we open our hearts, and
(02:56):
we declare, fear has no power our Here we walk
in faith, we walk in power, we walk in love.
We walk with a sound mind. Because you, Lord, have
not given us fear. You've given us freedom and the
mighty name of Jesus. Thank you, Lord,
