Speaker 1 (00:00):
I am Sherry Mackie and it's time for us to
go to God in prayer. And as always I invite
you to join along with me in prayer. And today,
as we are approaching Christmas, I want to celebrate. I
want to praise God for the greatest gift ever and

(00:20):
that is the gift of Jesus Christ. Heavenly Father, today
we pause an a in gratitude to celebrate the greatest
gift the world has ever known, the gift of your son,
Jesus Christ. In a season filled with lights and music
and celebration, we take the time to remember that Christmas

(00:40):
is not about what's under the tree, but about who
came down from heaven for us. Lord, Thank you that
you loved us so much. You rat salvation and flesh
and sent hope into a hurting world. When darkness covered
the earth, You sent light when humanity was lost. You
sent us safe when we could not reach you. You

(01:02):
came to us born in a manger, humble and holy,
yet full of divine power. Father, Thank you that Jesus
came not for the perfect, before the broken, not for
the righteous, but for the sinners. Thank you that he
brought peace to trouble hearts, healing to wounded souls, forgiveness
to the guilty, and hope to the weary. Because of Jesus,

(01:23):
chains were broken, mercy was released, and eternity was changed forever. Lord,
in this Christmas season, help us never to lose sight
of the miracle. Jesus is Emmanuel God, with us, with
us in our joy and with us in our pain,
with us in celebration and with us in sorrow, with

(01:43):
us when life is full, and with us when hearts
feel empty. Father, we thank you that through Christ we
have grace instead of guilt, peace instead of fear, purpose
instead of confusion, and eternal life instead of separation. Because
of Jesus, we are redeemed, We are restored, We are

(02:03):
reconciled to you. As we celebrate His birth. God, let
our hearts overflow with gratitude. Let our worship rise higher
than our worries. Let generosity flow from one person to another.
Let it flow from the love we received. Teach us
to reflect Christ, not just in this season, but every

(02:26):
day through kindness, through forgiveness, through compassion, and through love. Lord,
we thank you that the cradle led to the cross,
that the cross led to resurrection, and because Jesus lives,
we have hope that will never fad. So today God
we rejoice, we give thanks, we worship God, for unto

(02:46):
us a child is born. Unto us, a son is given.
And his name is wonderful. His name is Counselor. He's
Mighty God, He's everlasting Father, he's our Prince of peace.
Thank you Father, for Jesus is the gift that changed everything.
In his precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen, Amen, Amen,
