Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's your early morning praise party. I am Sherry Mackie,
and it's time right now for today's word. Grow through
it first. Peter one in seven says that the genuineness
of your faith being much more precious than gold that perishes.
Though it be tested by fire, may it be found
(00:20):
to praise, honor and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
You know, we all go through things that we don't like,
things that frustrate us. A coworker gets on our nerves,
a child is being difficult, a dream is taking longer
than we thought. The raise or the promotion hasn't come yet.
(00:43):
It's easy to live frustrated, wondering why things are not changing.
But see, God uses difficulties, He uses delays and inconveniences
to do a work in us. If the situation isn't changing, maybe,
just maybe God is using it to change you. Don't
(01:05):
just go through and be upset and bitter and offended.
Grow through it. Whatever your it is. See, that's an
opportunity to get stronger. That's an opportunity to develop your character,
to build your spiritual muscles. Learn whatever the lesson is
(01:25):
that God wants you to learn. Then grow and mature
in Him. We don't grow so much in the good times,
because see, it doesn't take faith to be happy and
enjoy life when everything is going well. We grow in
the difficult times. We grow in the times when the
genuineness of our faith is tested by fire, Like the
(01:47):
scripture says, when someone does you wrong, that's a test.
God is seeing if you're gonna get better, if you're
going to try to seek revenge and pay them back,
or if you're going to take the high road you're
gonna walk in forgiveness. That's why we face challenges. Sometimes
(02:07):
God is refining us, getting us prepared for something greater.
If you keep the right attitude, oh you'll grow through it.
And guess what, it always works out for your good
Oh Father God, in the name of Jesus, thank you
(02:28):
that you are the most high God, and that you
are refining our lives with fire to develop our character
and to help us grow stronger. Thank you that every
test of our faith is preparing us to go higher
and increase us. We believe that we're coming out even
better in Jesus' name. Hey, now that's your word for today.
(02:50):
I want you to take that apply that to your
everyday life, and you can see to be encouraged and inspired.
It is your early morning praise party. I'm your girl.
