Today's Word 07-11-25: He Chose You

It's your early morning praise party. I am Sherry Mackey,
and it's time right now for today's word.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
He chose you.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
John fifteen and sixteen says you did not choose me,
but I chose you and appointed you, so that you
might go and bear.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Fruit, fruit that will last, and so.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
That whatever you ask in my name the Father will
give you. Did you realize that we were strangers to
God's love? We didn't deserve his mercy, we didn't measure
up to his goodness? But the scripture says, once you
were far away from God. But now you have been

(00:45):
brought near to him through the blood of Christ. You
are no longer strangers, but fellow citizens with God's people
and also members of his household. Sherry, where can I
read that? I'm glad you asked? Ephesians two thirteen and
two nineteen. Jesus says that we did not choose him,

(01:08):
but he chose us. God hand picked you and me.
Now you may feel like you don't fit in. You
don't fit in in certain circles. You feel like you're
not good enough to fulfill your dreams or accomplish your goals.
You may feel like an outsider in your family, on

(01:28):
your job, or even in your church.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
None of that stops God.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
He still chose and is choosing you. You are valuable,
you are approved. You are so valuable and so approved
that Jesus gave his life for you. Thoughts will try
to tell you made too many mistakes, you messed up

(01:55):
too bad, you're not qualified, you don't come from the
background of faith.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
But God is saying, hey, that's okay.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
I chose you. I created you. I know who you are.
You're exactly whom I'm looking for. I choose strangers. I
choose people who don't look like everybody else expects them to.
I choose people who don't perform perfectly. I choose people
with flaws and weaknesses. I see what's in you, and

(02:26):
I know what I put on the inside of you.
I know your potential. It's my choice, and I choose you.
Come on, Jesus, Father, thank you for choosing us to
be yours long before we chose you. God, we celebrate
the fact that Jesus gave his life so that we

(02:47):
would no longer be a stranger to your family. God,
we believe and confidently declare that makes us very valuable.
That makes us approved in Jesus.

Now that's your word for today.

Take an applied to your everyday life, and you continue
to be encouraged and inspire knowing that He chose you
