It's your early morning praise party. I am Sherring Mackey
at its time, right now. For today's word, don't take
the bait. Don't take the bait. Psalms in ninety four
thirteen says that you may give him power to keep
himself calm in the days of adversity when you take

the high road, when you choose to remain calm and
quiet when someone offends you. Some people may mistake that
for weakness, but the truth is it's a sign of
maturity and strength. It takes a strong person to overlook
an offense and not retaligate. It takes maturity to not

get into an argument and just ignore them and keep
yourself or keep it moving. Some people will try to
bait you into an argument or into the chaos and drama.
They love drummer, they love to argue. They'll do things
on purpose to try to stir you up. Their mission

is to get you all riled up. If you give in,
if you take the bait, you're allowing them to control you.
Those who anger you control you. And the first thing
they're gonna say, I thought you were a Christian. If
they push this button by saving certain things, you get upset.
If they push that button. By doing certain things, you

lose your temple. If they push this button or the
other button, you give in, and then you start to
compromise who you are. Do yourself a favor. Turn off
all those buttons. Don't take the bait. Don't sink down
to their level the next time that happens. Just smile
and move forward. Do what today's scripture says, and keep

yourself calm. Turn it over to God and let him
handle that person. You have a destiny to fulfill. You
don't have time to play those games, so don't take
the bait. Oh Father, God, thank you for your word
that says You've given us the power to keep calm
in the times of adversity. Help us to relearn how

to respond when someone pushes our buttons. So to speak,
for a reaction God, we declare that we will not
let others stir us up, and we won't allow somebody
else to control us. In Jesus' name. Hey, now that's
your word for today. I want you to take that,
apply that to your everyday life, and you continue to
