Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's your early morning praise party. I am Sherry Mackie,
and it's time right now for today's word. Breaking Free
in the Fire Daniels three twenty seven says. They saw
that the fire had not harmed their bodies, nor was
a hair of their heads singe. Their roles were not scorched,
(00:20):
and there was no smell of fire on them. And
Daniel three. Three Hebrew teenagers, Shad dried Mishek and a Betnago,
stood before King Nebukan Nazure with unshakable faith. When commanded
to bow before the golden idol, they refused, declaring that
they would worship only the living God. The king's anger
(00:44):
burned hotter than the furnace. He ordered them to be
thrown into bound hands and foot. They were cast into
flames that were seven times hotter than normal. But here's
the miracle. When the king looked inside, he didn't see
three men bound. He saw four men walking freely in
the fire. The ropes had been burned off, but not
(01:07):
a hair on their heads was singed. Not even the
smell of smoke was on them. The very fire meant
to destroy them became the fire that freed them. What
was intended to stop them, only separated them from their limitations.
They came out not weaker, but stronger. They came out
(01:28):
full of faith. They came out with greater confidence. They
came out with undeniable influence. See this is a picture
of how God works in our lives. Sometimes He allows
us to walk through fiery seasons, not to punish us,
but to purify us. The fire of trials can burn
away fear, in security, doubt, or unhealthy attachments. The furnace
(01:51):
may feel unbearable, but it's often the very place where
God sets you free from what's been holding you back.
Maybe today you're facing the fire disappointment of loss, a betrayal.
It may look like the end, but God is saying
this fire will not destroy you. It will deliver you
(02:14):
what the enemy meant for harm. God will use it
to lift you higher. You're coming out with greater strength,
greater faith, greater clarity about who God is and who
you are in Him. And just like those three young men,
you're not coming out smelling like smoke. You're coming out better.
Come own. Jesus Father, thank you for being with us
(02:38):
in the fire. Thank you that the flames of adversity
do not consume us, but it refines us. We choose
to trust that every challenge is burning off what we
don't need and preparing us for new levels of strength,
new levels of influence, and new levels of destiny. God,
we believe we're coming out better. We believe we're coming
out with greater faith and confidence in You and Jesus' name. Hey,
(03:01):
now that's your word for today. Take it applied to
your everyday life, and you continue to be encouraged and inspired.
